The birria tacos were closer to a 4.5, full of flavor and a nice grilled cheese crunchy outside with a small side of broth. The tacos benefited from some lime juice and salsa to break up all the greasy bits. Overall, a great bite of food! The wet burrito was not as flavorful but very filling. The salsa also added to the overall taste and next time might try a different vegetarian burrito. There was a long line ahead of us since we came at dinner time, so the food took a little while to be prepared which was expected. I've tried Mio Street Food a couple times now. The first time was ok,just not have been too memorable because I don't remember anything about it other than that I'd been here before. My son and his friends eat here a lot and they rave about it continually so it seemed we were due to go back. I got a steak burrito, hold the sour cream, add green salsa. Nothing else, I didn't feel very hungry. Thank goodness, because this thing filled me up and I ate the whole thing. It was big...not one of those 'baby-sized, burritos, but big enough. The steak was amazing, a little smoke to the flavor, and it fit in nicely with the rest of the ingredients. Five star for Carne Asada! It was juicy and tender. Their 4 different sauces were also a plus (although i wish it was a little more spicier!) On the outside it looks like a food truck in an old dying strip mall. What I just ate was EPIC!!! I shared the carnitas plate and devoured what could be the best chorizo torta I have had in my life! There is minimal seating so just be aware this is more of a pick up your food and move somewhere else. I tried a burrito bowl with lengua. The protein we tried were chunky, not cut very fine beyond recognition. Just how I like it, it tasted clean, no funky smell or taste. Flavored very well. You order from the window and pay, then you wait until the food is ready. They prep and cook your food and you are called once it ready. TLDR: Easy ample parking, great value and delicious flavors. What a great addition to the taco truck community! This is my current fave, not only because of how delicious everything is, but also how friendly they are and how easily accessible they are. There is ample parking in the Shell gas station they are located in, but when they get really busy, there is parking in the large shopping mall that backs the truck. My favorite order to take out is their Birria Taco plate. Great value as it comes with 3 large fried birria tacos. The shredded beef filling is perfectly offset with a little cheese and is juicy and tender. Then it is laid into a taco that is then fried to perfection. Crispy even taken away on a long drive. The best thing with this entree is the consomme that comes with it. Slurping it straight from the bowl is like a flavor bomb going off in your mouth. Spicy enough to get your scalp sweating, and yet the beef flavor is strong enough to come through. The Carna Asada entree is to die for. Ample slices of perfectly cooked skirt steak. Tender and flavorful, with beans and rice and a fried Jalepeno. When I pick up street tacos from other trucks, I'll usually eat them as they come, with a double layer of taco. But from Mio Streetfood, there is so much stuffing that it always falls out and makes a mess. So it lis usually more sensible to unload half into the second taco, and eat as 2. So far, all the meat options have been uniformly great. Generous and flavorful. Its a taco truck, so don't expect table service or white table cloths. But, there are two tables with benches under shade to eat at if you can't wait. When it gets crowded, be prepared to wait though. They do prepare everything fresh, and if you order 3 quesadillas with 3 different meats, the wait is 3 times as long! read more

Ever since moving from Southern California I've never found Mexican food in Washington that can hold a candle to the spots down there until now. Been wanted to try this place for some time now and got the opportunity on my day off. I was happy to see that they were open when there was a little snow/ice on the road as it seemed there were many businesses that chose the option to stay closed. The guy behind the register(who was also the cook) was very bright and cheery for it being such a cold day. It made the experience much more enjoyable. The food I ordered came out quick(less than 10 minutes). I ended up ordering 3 Al Pastor tacos as well as 3 Asada tacos and the Quesa Birria. The Quesa Birria was good, but plain. The Birria tortilla was delicious, it had a crunchy cheese flavor. The Al pastor was flavorful, probably my favorite out of the bunch. The Asada had a good flavor, but kept me wanting more of something. I was really hoping the hot sauces were going to pack a punch, but were pretty mild. I really wanted to like this place a lot more and pains me to give an 4 out of 5. Realistically the food was around a 3 and the people were what made it were the difference maker. If Yelp had half stars I would be sitting at around 3.5. I see in the reviews that everyone loves this place, maybe my taste is off or they were having an off day. Yum! New favorite Mexican food truck :) it's tucked behind a Shell gas station but has a few parking spots, undercover tables and some benches for sitting. Honestly the closest thing I've had to Tex Mex in Washington. Called ahead to order food for a meeting. I tried the pork Milanesa torta, carnitas plate, and carnitas quesadilla. The only room for improvement was that the pork milanesa was a bit tough and the bread was too charred but the taste was still good. The carnitas were tasty and crispy. Rice and beans could be better but they're not the main part. The portions were huge! Pick up was easy as we just pulled up and paid. Parking in the shell gas station was easy. Soooo goooooood! We've been at Mio three or four times now and we always get the Birria tacos (with the dipping deliciousness). There are SO many places we can find these tacos, but these are BY FAR the BEST we've had in WA. Quem é also had some of their desserts, all super yummy! They always park at a gas station, which makes it easy for us to find parking too, even though Mio's clientele keep rolling in and out, constantly. They have two tables covered with a large umbrella for those who prefer to eat on the spot. We still have a lot to try from their menu, so we'll definitely be back! I just want to post another positive review in the hopes that it helps this amazing food truck. I have been to this spot at least 2 dozen times over the past year or so. Consistency has been unbelievably good. Tacos and burritos are the best I've had in the country. The service is always extremely attentive and courteous. The latest review mentioning a dessert that lacked ice cream is obviously for the wrong business (I have reported it to Yelp). We'll see if it gets rectified. A bit hard to spot from Bothell Way, its nestled behind the Shell Gas Station. Mio Streetfood is an attractive food truck run by very nice people. The street tacos are the main draw. I was surprised when they came wrapped with only one tortilla instead of the double that is common. It was strong enough to hold up and yet tender and tasty, so not a deal breaker. On a previous visit, the Carnitas and the Asada were a bit dried out but still very delicious. This time, the meat was moist and even better. The Perro Caliente has been on my wish list for a long time. Its an Arizona Tex-Mex favorite and hard to find outside Arizona. Its a bacon wrapped hot dog smothered in good stuff and very messy and tasty. Again they did not have their Chocoflan. I'm still looking forward to trying theirs. read more

I was crazing burrito and found this new place on Yelp. It's hidden between the sign of Shell gas station and a convenient store. Rite Aid was behind this food truck. There was plenty of parking and some seatings were available. The ambiance was laid back. The staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered breakfast burritos, birria tacos, chicken quesadillas and horchata. When we tried at home, we really enjoyed every bite. They were so delicious and beef broth for tacos had rich flavors. Friendly people and amazing food. I cook this kind of food at home most days of the week, but when I don't this is where I eat! I order a carne asada burrito almost every time we go. It's BIG. usually have one half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Make sure you try all their salsa s and order grilled onions and jalapeños on the side!
