Still the same since the first time coming here! Massive portions that could potentially give one muscle failure or spontaneous muscle spasms just carrying them. Not one person at our shop complained. My favorite is the bowl with the spicy pork. It has pineapples in it and only 1 person I have met ever had allergies to pineapple. Now you're cutting from it, and reheating it to the point, it's dry and stiff as a cardboard. Almost wood like. Carnitas is not suppose to be hard, dry and crunchy. Just the opposite. It should be moist, juicy and sticky to the touch. Although the meat I got was labeled Carnitas. We went there on Saturday while looking for good tacos. This place got my attention nearby on Yelp. The location was in downtown Bothell so it's convenient. The parking was complimentary in the front of a food truck so you didn't need to worry. The staff was friendly and courteous when she took my order. We ordered, taco plates, kids taco plate and quesadillas for Togo. It was quiet and laid back and I could imagine how great it will be in summer. When we tried at home, they were delicious and my favorite was beef quesadillas. They put some mayo aioli sauce on the top with cotija and it was tasty. Delivery review Yeah, I need to get out of the house more, AND we need to cook more. I do get tired of just having stuff delivered but this volume of deliveries is temporary and it's all good. I wish this place was closer so I could go in more. The food was 100% delicious even after being in the car for 15 minutes. Pastor Burrito Ordered with habanero aioli. (You have to pick one of 4 aiolis that they mix in to the burrito filling). Tortilla could have been toasted more to bring out flavor, but it was fresh, soft, and chewy. The meat was only mildly sweet but the fruit and onions definitely added a lot of sweetness to a couple bites. Made it more interesting as the bites changed on the way through it. Their red and green salsas are both great, and I ran out less than halfway through. Bottled stuff worked fine of course. Guacamole Ordered on the side for, you know, science. Really good! Fresh avocado, lots of flavor, crisp veg, bright notes from tomato and onion. Not the biggest $4 side ever, but it's really good, and avocado prices are always volatile. When you find good guac you just close your eyes to the price and order. Azada Taco Ordered one on the side as part of the ongoing scientific research 'n' stuff. Nice fresh soft chewy tortilla, good fresh chopped veg, nice fresh lime. Nice flavorful steak with clear grilled flavor. Would happily build a meal of tacos here. Tried the tacos here for the 1st time. Very generous with the meat. The adobada (marinated pork) was tender and slightly sweet. The Carne Asada was also juicy and tender (I prefer more charring on my asada but realize it usually results in a drier and less juicy mouthful). Well packed to go. Picked up a burrito as well. That was very decent. Service is fantastic. They were super friendly and chatty. Ambiance is very casual. They've got some seating around there which is kind of cool. I got 2 veggie tacos for $9, not including tax, and they were so good it felt like stealing. They practically melted in my mouth. The beans and rice made it feel filling without overpowering the veggies, and the sauce pulled the whole thing together and gave it all a delicious zing. As a vegetarian, it can be a struggle to find really good vegetarian mexican food, but these tacos exceeded all of my expectations. They felt punchy, unlike a lot of other vegetable tacos I've tried, which tend to lack the kind of presence these two had. Usually those kinds of tacos feel like they're missing something (the meat) but these two filled my whole mouth from top to bottom. Those were the best tacos I've ever had. In addition, I got served quickly (though I didn't order much), and the guy at the register was super welcoming and chill. It was all fantastic; there was no weak point. A couple of extra notes: The food truck is definitely not wheelchair accessible, but there is plenty of seating and as well as a large overhang above the register for rainy weather. My personal favorite is the shrimp. The mix of the fried shrimp, cabbage, and cream sauce is just delicious. The pastor and carnitas are equally delightful. I had 3 large taco's for only $ 12.00 We had them at their new location on South Hill, 14019 Meridian East #B. The food truck is right in front of Meridian Tire and Aqua Rec's stores. After visiting the excellent Ambakity Cocina Mexicana restaurant in South Park, we had to try the trailer where it all started. We were not disappointed. This is a five star food truck/trailer. The tacos were loaded with tasty meat fillings and topped with just the right toppings. I would have liked to have tried the enchiladas, but they were out by the time I stopped in the late afternoon on a rainy weekday. The menu is short, but it is a trailer after all. Service is friendly. Your food is made to order, so it may take a little longer than what is common. But it will be hot and fresh and tasty. Best streets tacos in the area! We'll for sure be going back. Even on a busy Saturday evening, I got all my food within 10 minutes. These guys move fast. Staff was extremely nice and friendly. They have all the street tacos, burritos, sides, etc. that you could want and is possible in a quick timeframe. Food presentation is excellent for street food, but quality could be a bit better. It seems fresh but was just a bit dry. Shrimp tacos were the best that I tried. If you're looking for an inexpensive and fast option in downtown Bothell, this place is worth checking out. Parking CAN be an issue, unfortunately. Quality and parking are my only two issues that don't give it 5 stars. My tacos were a little dry and the corn tortillas were falling apart. Seems like they needed a bit more cooking or oil. And the parking can be super tough with the nail salon next door threatening to have you towed. My boyfriend recently moved to the Bothell area from San Diego, so we have been hoping for a great taco place to match up to the tacos we've experienced in SD. Well, you know what? The search is over! Ambakity seriously delivers and to be honest, it made me love Bothell 5x more after my first bite out of the 4 tacos I got. This cute, little food truck is all by itself in a graveled corner on the streets of Bothell, so it's real easy to spot. There's multiple seating arrangements and umbrella coverings in front of the truck, so you can lounge around. I know there's burritos and other food plates here, but during our visit, we got the al pastor, the fish, the shrimp, and the lengua taco. First and foremost, excuse my language, but DAMN - these tacos are plump! They are plump, full of the freshest meats and vegetables, and they are just presented so beautifully, unlike most tacos you'd experience. They are a little more on the pricey side, ranging from $3-$4/each (not sure if this is just because it's Seattle), but I thought it was well worth it for how much food you're getting.
