I really liked the spicy pork ramen. I added pork belly and I probably wouldn't next time around. The spicy ground pork was definitely enough on its own and was very flavorful. We also got gyoza and taro fries and those were really good as well. The inside is very fun and was clean! I will definitely be back! read more

We give 3.5 stars on our first visit-- some hits and some misses. Oishii: the takoyaki (octopus balls) were 4.5 star good. Nice, crispy portion with tender octopus inside. They were missing the tempura pieces (tenkasu) and yam paste cubes (konnyaku) inside, as well as the pickled ginger, but they did put some ginger on top together with the sauces, which helped redeem. Would be touch nicer if the shaved bonito were a little bigger so that you could see it moving in the steam when served. Also pleased they they got the soft boiled eggs mastered: the whites set soft while the yolk was still runny. Kanzen! Maa, ne: Our main course bowls weren't quite "there". Both ramen bowls had overcooked noodles. Plus, I think they might not be making them with alkalized water which might explain them missing the right "bite" to the texture. Broth was good, though -- the beef broth was the best of what we tried. But my wife would have liked a warning on the menu that the vegetarian noodles are a little spicy (her lips were sensitive with the winter weather). I wouldn't expect that for a miso broth. But not a deal killer in other circumstances. But kudos (in winter season) that the corn tasted fresh, and for using enoki mushrooms (my fave). The curry udon was good, and spiced well, but beware the runny sauce that you don't slurp staining sauce on your shirt. (I hope it is not that runny when they serve it over rice.) And using precooked potatoes in the curry was a big miss: they tasted like pieces of rewarmed, day-old French fries scattered among the tender carrots and beef. Portions are a touch smallish, but that's not uncommon for a Japanese restaurant. Service was friendly, too -- though for a Saturday night we still thought it a little too slow. It does seem to have a small kitchen for as many seats as they have, though, so maybe that's normal for their weekends. We'll definitely try again to see if we hit a better textured noodle next time. I was so excited to try this place after reading the reviews but it was unfortunately a big disappointment. The ramen was very bland, the egg and meat had zero flavor, the honey toast was rock hard, the only thing that was good was the appetizer (takoyaki and pot stickers) and that was AMAZING. Overpriced for what you get for sure. Appetizers started out good, both the gyoza and the chicken wings were quite tasty. The ramen itself was disappointing to say the least. This was a to go order, and upon opening it up at home, the veggie ramen was missing half the toppings listed on the menu, and the spicy pork seems to be missing anything resembling pork (edit: there was not a single piece of pork in the entire bowl), and half an egg. It is spicy. But not good. Quite possibly the least satisfying, and most overpriced bowl of ramen I have ever had. The broth is weak and watery, both the vegetable and the tonkatsu. The noodles had to be forcibly broken apart when we assembled the soup, and had an unpleasant gluey texture. Extremely disappointed, especially for the price. If this is what passes for good ramen in Ogden, I should quit my job and open up a shop. read more

This is one of the hardest reviews I have done. The service was great. The pickles as an appetizer were amazing. But the ramen fell short for my expectations. And it's so hard to say whether it was good or bad. There was something missing in the broth. And the noodles were good but just a bit too firm. I guess I'm spoiled from Japan, you order ramen then you get a sheet that has all the add ins for no extra charge. If you want more green onion you circle 3 on a scale of 1-3. Same with garlic, I wanted more garlic so I paid $2 more expecting it to be fresh minced and put in the broth, like I experienced in Japan. But it came out as a little bowl of roasted garlic pieces. Delicious but it didn't work with the broth. I really didn't get that authentic mouth feel of this ramen. The broth was good but not complex as a true Japanese ramen would be. I don't know. I left there today feeling conflicted. I liked the ramen, the pork was tasty but again my experience in Japan was slices of lean pork without the fat. The pork pieces tasted great but, it was fatty. I left most of the pork behind tonight. I think the owner knows what he wants to do and it will be good food for people who have never had ramen. While eating my ramen I really did only want to sip the broth. The noodles were just not good. I'm still trying to figure out corn in a ramen. It was tasty but, really questionable. The broth was good but lacked complexity. I suggest they watch the documentary "Ramen Heads". Just really confused about it, like I said. This place is really tasty! We had the curry pork, both styles. They were both excellent. The noodles were yummy. Also tried the wings and the pickles as an appetizer. The wings were outstanding. Lots of flavor. I liked the eggplant and cucumber pickles. The radish type wasn't for me but the waitress says lots of people really like them. I highly recommend you give this place a shot. Had the shoyu ramen, and it was interesting, due to the fact that it had beef cubes instead of chasshu, and a different type of broth. But regardless of it not being what I expected in a shoyu ramen, it was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items when I'm up in Ogden next. read more

A new ramen shop in Ogden! Cool. Hope they are good. Would save the trip down to Salt Lake to either go to Tosh's or Koko Kitchen. Well...... Not going to forget either of those places. Though I must say that this place is not that bad. Gave a try to their Pork Ramen. Yes, it is a bit bland. But that is the thing with Ramen you are the one to adjust the spiciness or flavor. Back home it was up to you to add shoyu or Tabasco Sauce. Some places had cayenne pepper on the table. Not to mention, that is the point behind the little "add-in" portion of the menu. The atmosphere is a bit of that new age feel. What ever, there for the food. The only comment I have to make is to the guy two tables from us. Dude! Blow your nose. We ordered an appetizer of Taro fries (what poi is made from) and pickled daikon and ginger, both were very good. Both me and my hubby got the pork ramen, it was very good. With that being said the pork was a bit over cooked. There wasn't any texture to it, it completely fell apart. The half egg was perfect, not over cooked at all and the yoke was still creamy! That's hard to do and easy to overdo but the chef got it right!! I would order this again because the flavor was great and the noodles were perfect too, nice texture and not overdone at all. The broth was a meso base and I loved it. To drink I got the boba matcha tea. The flavor was nice but the tapioca balls were mushy, I did not like that all so I drank the tea and left the balls. Love this place. The Veggie ramen is fantastic. I got it with the plain fried tofu and spinach noodles. So many options! The service is spot on. It's a cute place with tons of origami cranes hanging from the ceiling. My 15 month old nephew love looking at them and the neon on the wall. Had a great meal last night at Ramen Haus. GF was easy and customizing was possible as well. The broth was rich and hit the spot. We had the pork ramen and also the vegan. Both were excellent. I had the vegan with yam noodles, the texture was perfect and they were willing (and able) to accomodate my food allergies as well, thank you! I appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the attention to the little details that made the subtle flavours of each ingredient stand on their own while complementing the others. Ample selection of sides and extras reminds me of some of my favourite ramen spots back in Japan. Loved the unsweetened boba tea, it was the best I've had in Utah. If you are a sweet tooth, they make boba tea sweetened as well. Also tried the genmai-cha, iced and that too was brisk and delicious. Wish they were open tonight (Monday), if they were, I'd be there for sure. A trendy by clean, repurposed and hand finished decor makes it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. The first time we went there last year, it was phenomenal. This time was very disappointing. Takeout orders definitely get priority here. We waited almost 40 minutes for one bowl of ramen. Nobody let us know why it was taking so long, we just sat there waiting and watching the door dashers get their orders. When it finally came, no apology for the wait, and the spicy pork broth was like a can of supermarket broth. No real flavor. Also, no refills on water which sucks when you're eating salty foods. I stumbled upon this place because of the excellent online reviews, atmosphere, and well obviously ramen. We ordered pork gyoza as an appetizer and it is probably the only thing not keeping me from leaving a 1 star review. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen and asked for extra chashu and asked if the ramen could be spicy. The food was all brought out at the same time which kind of defeats the purpose of an appetizer but when the server brought out the food I noticed that instead of chashu it was ground pork and I tried to explain to her that and she said okay I'll eat your server know. She goes to back and loudly explains what happened and tell her that she needs to charge me extra for it. So obviously neither one of them understood me when I tried to explain what we wanted. Our server started to argue with me instead of just apologizing or fixing and immediately goes okay well I can just bring my manager over here, as if I'm being hostile with her but even my spouse tried to show her the menu and explain the confusion. Anyway regardless of the bad customer service the ramen was flavorless and bland, the pork belly comes out cold, and we both left still hungry. It was a flop for us but to each their own. read more

It's been a while since we last ate here. They have improve from last time we had eaten here. I ordered the curry udon with takoyaki, seaweed salad, and a Asian pear sparkler. My wife ordered edamame, with chicken ramen. The curry udon was presentable and amazing from last time I had it. Seaweed salad is a must have when dining anywhere, enriches you with many flavors. Asian pear sparkler isn't all that, had sugar crystals on the bottom when I sipped from the bottom. My wife's ramen looks delicious, she said it filled her up and it was not bland, but flavorful. First of all, I really love the vibe of this place. The interior is modern and chic, I especially love the lighting! They also play cool music. Our waitress was super friendly and took care of all our wants and needs and the food came out near instantly. The food was decent but some things were hit and miss. We got between us, Fried Gyoza, Pork Ramen, Spicy Pork Ramen and the Matcha Shortcake. The Fried Gyoza were excellent and had a great crunchy outside with tender meat inside, plus it came with a tasty sauce. I would rate these 5/5. Both the Pork Ramens however were nothing memorable. I mean I liked the corn in it and the broth was good when I drank it on its own but it was lacking that oomph factor and was a little too bland for me. I would rate it 3/5. The Matcha cake didn't really taste very matcha-y and I wish it had more matcha flavor, however it did have delicious frosting that wasn't too sweet. I'd give this 3/5. Next time I'm here I'll probably try the Honey Toast instead. Overall I'd give Ramen Haus 3 1/2 stars if I could. I'd like to give it another try and try more from the menu someday. read more

What really bothers me is when someone that works at a particular restaurant is Extremely rude and unfriendly to the delivery staff. I had the unpleasantries of working with Jennifer if that is her real name which it may not. I came for a delivery at 5:30p.m. On Sunday. Delicious veggie ramen!! They were generous with the vegetables and I added in an egg (note: the egg is soaked in beef broth, but the server informed me before I finalized the order). The server was also wonderful. She knew the menu quite well and was able to give good recommendations. Great atmosphere and the sake & Asian pear tea was also tasty. This is an experience with take out. I ordered over the phone and the woman who took my order was very nice and even related to things I ordered.
