Eating here was such a fun experience. I never knew there were so many different types of ramen. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to try more of the different types of ramen. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and she gave a great recommendation on a new ramen to try. She also very friendly when explaining the process on how the dinning experience worked. The restaurant itself was super cute and was a very pleasant time eating in the restaurant.

A very unique and simple business here in Chinatown, Houston, Texas. If you've never been there before, they will help you walk through the experience. There are many types of Ramen to choose from, from lower-tier to top-tier, and they offer many toppings to add to your order. The prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely go here again with the family.

Fun, flavorful, and worth the stop! Ramen Alley is such a cool concept -- a self-serve ramen spot where you get to fully customize your bowl from start to finish. Perfect if you like things exactly your way. I went with the sweet & spicy buldak noodles and loaded it up with shrimp, crab, jalapeños, and a squeeze of lime. The flavor was spicy but balanced, bold without being overwhelming. You can really control the heat level depending on how much sauce you add, which I loved. On the side, I had shrimp crackers and melon juice with aloe vera, which was super refreshing and a great contrast to the spice. Overall, the experience was quick, interactive, and fun -- great for solo visits or a casual bite with friends. And don't worry if you've never been and need help they do have a staff present. If you're craving customizable ramen with big flavor, Ramen Alley definitely hits. Would 100% come back to try different combinations

This is wild. I have never seen anything like this in Houston before. What a great concept. The Ramen Alley 길목라면 is an extension of MDK Noodles. According to the owner Stacey, this self-serve ramen bar is very popular in Korea, Japan and the Philippines. To start, I was given a paper bowl and napkin on a tray. Next, I pick a bag of ramen from the shelves. After picking the toppings from the cooler, I headed to the cookers. Then, cook at the instant cooker for about 5 minutes. I love watching the boiling action over the paper bowl. Finally, add my topping and enjoy. Oh one thing I have to tell you. I only eat kimchi from MDK Noodles, not from anywhere else. I absolutely love this place. It's convenient and low cost. I would love to bring my friends to try Ramen Village out.

It's a cute area attached from MDK Noodles. It was decent, staff was very nice and helpful. Not too much to say, pricing seemed a little steep for what you get. Would more say to just go and have noodles from MDK if anything.

Delicious ramen restaurant! Very unique concept in Houston and really fun experience. After choosing proteins, veggies and other add-ins you might spend about $7-$15 each ramen. The more you add the higher the cost. I really enjoyed our order. Definitely did order the Ramen. I have at home Addison some different things that I typically don't have at the house to have a better experience. I would highly recommend! I look forward to coming back. It definitely made me think about my own Ramen game at my house as well. There's a way to be able to enhance my experience.

Had a great time today, the ambiance was fun and relaxing. For the price and variety of ramen I thought it was a really fun place to eat. The hours also look amazing and I'm excited to come back here late at night! Excited for this places future

It is sweet and a bit soupy from all the sauce. The noodles are chewy and bouncy, and get coated in the sauce nicely. There is a good amount of meat that comes with it too! The flavors are great. 2) Jaengbanjjajang: This is my go-to and personal favorite noodle dish to get here. It is similar to their original jjangmyeon except that it is less soupy and has a bit of spice. The spiciness adds a nice kick balancing the sweet and savory flavors. There are also lots of different mix ins like squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables! The play on textures and contrasting flavors is why I love this dish 3) Spicy Chicken Wings (Yangnyeom): For not being a chicken wing restaurant, Paiks sure does serve some banger wings. Juicy big wings with a slight crisp on the outside. The sauce is amazing. It is that sweet and spicy yangnyeom korean fried chicken sauce. 4) Tangsuyuk: I never visit Paisk without ordering their tangsuyuk. Perfectly fried with a great chew. The pork is not too porky or gamey which is nice, and the sauce is a sticky sweet and sour sauce. 4) Gunmandoo: Their panfried dumplings are quite nice too! I haven't gotten them in a while, but they were solid Overall, I don't think there was a single dish I disliked here at Paiks. Service is standard, not too fast not too slow. The ambiance is not really one for dates or anything. It's super casual with metal chairs. It can get a bit cold. There are restrooms and water dispensers. They used to have the self serve yellow radish but now they just serve it with your meal. You have to clean your table yourself and put all the dish trays in the back

Our waiter was incredibly attentive and fast, and the staff cooks the meat for you so you can fully enjoy the meal. We ordered the ABC platter with NY strip, boneless short rib, pork belly, plus an extra side of bulgogi, which was more than enough for 4 people. The side dishes were fantastic and the staff happily brought refills whenever we asked. Definitely make a reservation, and enjoy your time here...they never make you feel rushed.

We got the combo thing with a bunch of different meats, and the large pork belly was cooked first so we ended up waiting for a good amount of time, and once we started slowing down the beef tongue cooked very quickly and faster than we could eat. The banchan were pretty hit or miss. The kimchi and salad were highlights. Overall taking away a star because I've had better experiences at other high end kbbq restaurants in different cities.

Clean cooking that wasn't oily and allowed the flavors of all the ingredients to shine. The japchae was light and refreshing, yet hearty. They were able to accommodate spicy levels well and they didn't disappoint! The sundubu was spicy and aromatic. It had noodles with the right amount of bounciness and fresh vegetables. The silken tofu was solid and among the better once's we've had. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient while we reviewed the menu. They checked on us appropriately to make sure we were satisfied. The restaurant was bright and it seems like they are always busy. The loud conversations within the other parties there speaks to the quality of the food also! Rate: 4.5/5, a definite recommend for those looking for Korean cooking without having to go farther West in the Houston area.

We did the 3 meat BBQ combo, which easily feeds around 3 people and added a few extra dishes to share. We ordered the jahp chae, which is a stir fried glass noodle with vegetables and beef. It was AMAZING and probably our favorite dish of the night. Super flavorful but not oily at all which is rare for stir fried noodles. This was both of our favorites. We also tried tteok bokki, which is chewy rice cakes in a spicy sauce. They offer the option to add cheese and in hindsight I think that would have made it better. I was really excited for this one, but it didn't fully hit for me. It was good just not amazing and a little more spicy than I personally prefer. Lastly, we tried the yachae jeon which is a vegetable pan fried pancake, and WOW. It was huge, super crispy, and had sooo much flavor for a vegetarian dish. The meats and all the BBQ fixings were incredible. Honestly, every single thing that came to the table was amazing QUALITY and amazing FLAVOR. I also loved that the staff helps cook the meat for you which made the experience way more enjoyable. I have to shout out the customer service. From start to finish, the staff was amazing. They were patient with us as first timers, explained everything clearly, and made us feel super comfortable. We had a vegetarian in our group, and there were plenty of menu options for him. Our Korean friend ended up joining us and fully vouched for the restaurant's authenticity, which says a lot. Overall, this was such an exceptional meal and experience.
