Loved our ramen dishes especially the shrimp one. The mild miso ramen is a little sweet but still delicious. One piece decorated setting which is awesome and Upbeat music. Service was excellent. We're definitely returning.
A good ramen spot in the Chinatown area. I came on a day where there was a special going on but just FYI: I do not think they sell robata items anymore. Place is surprisingly bigger than I thought (literally thought it was just a few tables but there's actually a whole other area) so that's a plus. Parking is a little difficult to find being in a busy plaza but you'll eventually find one. Ramen is great overall. Got the Tamashi Menn (I think it's their special?) and dipping ramen and would definitely recommend it. Appetizers were good but the edamane might have been in the steamer/boiler for too long because they were kind of soggy. Other than that, everything else was well-portioned and good tasting. They also have other locations located in the city of Houston! Check it out when you're craving ramen.
Food - 10/10 as always. I got the Tamashi Menn which is their shrimp based ramen and it's always good. Service - 8/10 it was slow to get water and the bill. But the girls were nice. Ambiance - same as always. It's nice.
Cute ramen shop with a One Piece Anime theme. We enjoyed ramen, karage, fried squid, sushi, and sashimi during a quick late lunch in Houston. They were fast and the service was good.
We got the tonkatsu ramen with an added extra egg and free fresh garlic! The bamboo shoots in the soup broth were so good! The pork also very flavorful, excellent broth. Service friendly; they frequently refilled our ice water which was appreciated! The takoyaki was soft and delicate; be careful they are sizzling hot in the inside when they come out.
This place is a favorite of mine! They've got a few locations around Houston, but I think the bellaire location is their most consistent. Service here is always great, staff always make sure waters are filled and check up on guests at a good rate. The restaurant is spacious and has a decent amount of seating. My favorite dish to order is their spicy miso ramen, but what I will note is that Tamashi's ramen leans on the heavier side so take that into consideration and be aware of if you're looking for a lighter meal or not. Prices are fair here, i'd say I usually spend somewhere between $15-20 on a bowl. I'd say it's in my running for best ramen in town, but I'm still doing my research. Definitely worth your time!
Love this place for ramen! Such great flavored broth, quick service, clean spacious booths and great location! What I ordered : Tonkatsu sub shrimp on the side and add an egg Tonkatsu no pork add two eggs Gyoza
Holy smokes, the ramen is absolute fire hereeee. I literally demolished my bowl haha. I got the spicy tonkotsu, and everything abt it was phenomenal - from the presentation to the taste of the broth and all the wonderful toppings. The broth was creamy, rich, and full of umami. The pork was so tender... didn't even have to really use my jaw muscles LOL because it was pretty much melting in my mouth. The noodles were cooked just rightttt - it had a perfectly chewy texture. Our server was friendly and attentive. Service was quick! We waited less than 10 min for our food to come out. There was plenty of seating, and overall, I felt very comfortable. Great place to EAT and meet with friends!! The parking was fine, I just parked in the back since the lot was busy.
It's a casual spot with tables, some booths and one piece themed decor. For a party of two we got the tonkatsu ramen, takoyaki and chashu don. Food was out fast within ten minutes but we were the only people seated at that point. The takoyaki was decent, had a crisp exterior with soft octopus on the inside. I'm not sure if I enjoyed it though but this was my first time having it. Chashu don stole the show, soft, charred to perfection and flavorful. The ramen was a letdown, broth was really salty and noodles were so chewy and the cheapest you'd get at the Asian store. Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately our server also looked like she didn't want to be there :/
The place is pretty nice and also in good location nearby the other asian shops. The food was good but not to extent that we were expecting.
My son picked this spot. The Tonkotsu Spicy is delicious. The broth is robust and flavored well. It is a creamy soup and filling. The Miso Ramen is also tasty. My daughter liked it. She wasn't able to finish but wanted to take it home for later. Our server was also friendly and attentive. I would recommend a visit here for ramen lovers.
I think this is the same company as the one on Holcombe. This place is bigger and plenty of seating. It wasn't super busy when we went. Front desk and server were nice. Food averages 7-8 out of 10. We enjoyed it. Chicken karaage was still cut up too big than my preference (as I've seen in other places with smaller cuts). We would go back.
Heyyy I visited Tamashi Ramen and I will say it wasn't the best I have had . Yall know I keep it real ! Sometimes places have good days and bad ones . This wasn't a great $30 spent . The ramen - the Shoyu ramen was flavorful but it was not hot when we got it . Like at all . It may have been sitting . They move pretty fast ... a little too fast so it concerned me a bit as far as quality of the food . Especially the sushi . Came out fast! I ordered extra noodle because I assumed it would not be enough . It was enough noodle but not enough broth . We finish the broth before noodle . They saw I didn't use the noodle and I was still charged so I just took it to go . The sushi was 5/10 . Wasn't really fresh . But still edible ! I love ramen but I'm sad that this was not great . I really tried to enjoy it . Now my son said he loved it . Ambiance is quiet , very quiet. Not lot of customers but very small and intimate . Waiter wasn't the nicest . I'm not sure why but good job on flavor ! Everything else wasn't great as far as quality ( cool soup not hot , freshness) read more
I was honestly pretty disappointed because they changed the menu and no longer offer Robata, which was the main thing I was looking forward to trying. According to my waitress, it just wasn't working out the way they anticipated. I ended up ordering the avocado roll instead. The presentation was nice and the flavor was solid, but the roll itself was very loose and kept falling apart, which made it difficult to eat with chopsticks . Not a terrible experience overall, but definitely not what I expected based on the name and previous menu offerings. read more

The ambiance is super chill. One piece posters cover the main wall of the restaurant. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Now to the food... it's pretty mid. The presentation of the takoyaki in a bowl leads to some pieces having a lot of sauce/mayo/bonito flakes while others not as much. The ramen broth is very salty, a little too salty. Some of the bamboo was undercooked. The position of chashu is not good for the price- 1 small piece. The chashu don was ok, nothing special. The ribeye skewer tasted of propane rather than a nice char you get from charcoal or wood. Would I go back, maybe- most other places tend to be crowded in that area. This place was pretty bare while I was there. read more
Met up here with a friend for some ramen happiness, and they did not disappoint! While there are a plethora of ramen places around town, this one takes the cake for me. For one, their ramen is reasonably priced. I've seen some outrageous prices for ramen around town. Here, for $12, one can get a great bowl of miso, shoryu, or tonkatsu ramen. Of course, one can add on additional toppings to one's liking. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and it was very enjoyable. I love little texture and flavor components to this dish, the star of the show being the dreamy melt in your mouth chasu. They offer sushi and skewers here as well, which is nice if you're desiring something else. It was a bit dead when I came here for dinner on a weekday. read more
Came here for lunch, and love the decor upon entering the restaurant. There are "One-piece" pictures all over the walls. I was promptly seated. I ordered the ika geso, sweet soy ribeye, and Tamashi Menn. The ika geso was good. It was crispy and coated well. However, the quantity could be better. The sweet soy ribeye was yummy. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. I had their number one ramen which was delicious. The broth was so shrimpy and flavorful. The ramen was cooked well. But the shrimps were overcooked. They were slightly tough. Overall food was good but could be better. read more
Ramen on a cold and windy day? Sold. Tamashi is located in the H-Mart center on Bellaire, right next to my favorite dumping place, Golden Dumpling! The menu features 5 different types of ramen, including a dipping ramen, along with various appetizers, tapas and sushi rolls. My husband and I ordered the calamari to start off with and it was some of the best fried squid we've ever had (we love calamari so we've tried a lot)! The crispiness and flavors were absolutely perfect - my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Highly recommended. I order the tonkatsu ramen and was severely disappointed. The ramen was lukewarm at best. The ramen was al dente but the broth lacked any depth. The flavor was good and they give you two slices of char siu, I just expected the broth to be not so one dimensional. They gave plenty of mushroom and bamboo, which was nice. The service was great and the price was okay - about $12 for the ramen and $8 for the calamari. I definitely won't be back for the ramen but the calamari might be calling my name! read more
Great location next to HMart. Lots of parking in the shared lot (depending on time and day). Food was tasty and came out pretty quickly. Service was fine. The sushi was cut inconsistently with some fat and some thin. Would I come back? Yes! read more
We went there for lunch. You need to sign in on their wait list sheet and they will call you when there is a table available. We tried their tonkotsu spicy ramen, Tamashi's menn, sushi platter, and takoyaki. The food was good. It would be nice to have more octopus in the takoyaki. The waitress was friendly and humorous. The staff was attentive, making sure we were good or if we needed anything. The decor was cute. They have wanted posters of One Piece. Upon entering, it looks small. However, they have another side beyond the wall on the right. They do an annual customer appreciation day, which is awesome! We will definitely go back to try their other menu items. read more
Delicious curry dipping soup with a tiny hint of spice, perfectly jammy half of an egg, and a fun crispy fried kani (imitation crab). The noodles were all stuck together so I ended up just dumping the whole thing in making it more like a normal ramen. Food came out quickly and had water refilled frequently. A nice place for a small group! read more

A really decent option for a quick bite. I like their tonkatsu ramen. Their chasu don 2.0 is worth getting. Their tonkatsu is decent. I will warn that my mom's fingers like swelled like crazy after eating there, which usually happens if there's msg. Their sushi...is not worth it in quality or price. read more

Tamashi is tucked away and overshadowed from H-Mart in the ever so busy chinatown. Walking in, you'll notice a slew of One Piece wanted posters as part of their decor and adequate amount of seating. Tamashi offers alot of sushi and grilled options as well as a good amount of Ramen choices, for a decent price. I elected to get their chirashi bowl since it was a safe option and it was a very strong choice, as their fish was definitely fresh and tasty. However, I shoulda gotten their sushi/roll combo because that was also the same price but alot more! Tamashi has a lot of fans and I can see why, next time I'm here, I'll have to try their Ramen bowls. read more

I love coming here every lunch I'm able to, food is amazing! The service super quick and there super nice, literally have enough time to eat and still go around to walk it out. It's a pretty and chill place, definitely recommend trying, you won't regret! :) read more
The robota was good. The spicy mixed mushrooms excellent! I had a crunchy roll that was delicious. The menu is a bit small but not bad. Im not into ramen. Odd they don't have hot sake but a very nice selection of cold ones. I had white peach. One girl serving and it filled after I ordered she was running. But service was fine. It's to the left of the hmart. read more
Pretty nut allergy friendly, I don't think there are any/many dishes to be concerned about. Pros: Reasonably priced food, good sharable portions, just the right amount of spice in the spicy hot tonkatsu, very seafood heavy flavor menn, some decent appetizers (recommend the takoyaki, the seaweed salad, and the skewers) Cons: Slow service for the ramen (over an hour), forgot several of our add-ons, not fresh sushi / sashimi and when they brought the extra chashu it was clearly frozen read more
Food here was great. The Shaggy Dog roll was on point, along with the nice presentation of the roll itself. I would recommend to get it without avocado, but that's just me. Not pictured, we also got the Salmon Don, Chicken Satay and Sweet Soy Ribeye. The Salmon Don was okay, but it does come with a nice teriyaki sauce which made it better. The Chicken Satay was amazing. We devoured that real quick. Both it and the Sweet Soy Ribeye were perfectly charred and smelled amazing. The ribeye I will say could use some sauce with it, but otherwise the meat itself was good as well. Overall great food, nice interior as well, and great service. Would definitely come back again real soon. read more
Let me say this first, I've never been a ramen person. I am not a picky person and like trying new foods. I am on a business trip in Houston this week and today for lunch my coworker who lives locally in Houston took me to his favorite ramen restaurant. I ordered the Ramen, hot, w/ everything. It was super spicy and I loved every bit of it. The atmosphere in the store was very cool and the staff was very polite and helpful. I will definitely come back again. read more

Looking for a nice hot bowl of ramen and not break the bank during this cold front? Tamashi is your place to go! If you're facing the HMART it's on the left, plenty of parking in the complex. The menu is quite extensive, if you aren't feeling ramen you may very well get any of the sushi or meal plates. But for this review I'm sticking to the ramen. I ordered the Spicy (mild) Tonkasu ramen and extra chashu pork on the side. What I love about it here is you can customize it as you see fit! Don't like the black fungus or bamboo shoots? Ask to remove it! The mild def had a big kick and was spicy but not overwhelming where you can't even taste the meat or broth. Will be back for sure! read more

Small ramen place near H-mart. I was surprised that they serve sushi in addition to ramen. We started off with the Takoyaki and I was really impressed with how they made it. It was a lot crispier and served in a bowl rather than on a plate. My husband ordered the shrimp ramen while I got the curry Tsukemen. The curry had good flavor but I wished the noodles were mixed in rather than separate. I tried my husband's shrimp ramen and thought it was pretty salty. The shrimp was on skewers which made them a bit tough to eat. The ramen was fresh but a lot of the flavor felt heavy and salty to me vs other ramen places I've had where the flavors felt more balanced. read more
Came here for lunch with my friend. The food is pretty good. We order 4 appetizers: Brussels Sprout $6.50 4/5 stars, (2) chicken hearts $4.25 4/5 stars, (2) chicken gizzards $4.35, & Ika Gesa (fried squid) $8.25 3.5 stars. The chicken hearts, gizzards, & fried squid was all the same sauce on it (alittle on the salty side). Tonkotsu $11.95 4/5 stars. The flavor was good. The broth was alittle salty and needed to be alittle hotter. It seem just kinda warm. We also order 2 rolls combo $13.75 4/5 stars (Spider roll & Crazy rolls. Customer service was good, attentive, & informative. Definitely will come back to try other items. read more
