Six stars for Joseph! I've been shopping at this Ralphs location since 2020, and every interaction with Joseph has been exceptional. He's consistantly helpful, courteous and incredibly knowledgeable. This Ralphs location itself stands out as well: cleaner, better organized and far more convenient than the one in Sherman Oaks on Ventura. I never really noticed how unusual the building is. It's very cool design. The staff was very friendly and I use my Club card plus my coupons and I got a really good deal. I always forget about this Ralphs because it's in the middle of such a congested area. But I think it's worth going there cause the produce is fresh. They have really good deals and Parking is easy. read more

Food is always available, regardless of the time of night. They offer a lot especially with how busy this location is. I have yet to come across an issue with stock but keep in mind that things are in constant motion. I like that everything is clean, well lit and feels like the employees are doing their best to keep everyone safe. I love this Ralphs. Everyone is super friendly. It's not overly stocked because the employees are obviously battling the unhoused that are constantly stealing and causing a ruckus. I feel bad because they obviously are doing their best but the circumstances are preventing them from doing so... Parking is a little rough. People park here because they slink away and go to the plaza across the street.. They also have issues with people simply parking like jerks! read more

I'm on oxygen and I use a mobility scooter, which is why I ordered online and then drive over to the pick up area at the store Don't order your groceries online from Ralph's. They get the order incorrect and then when you get home and realize that they won't do anything about it and I ordered meat and the meat was running and they didn't put it in an extra bag and it's blood all over my pants and I can't get off and they won't do anything about that either. read more

Today, while I was shopping, one of your cashiers became extremely aggressive and unprofessional. Cashier name MICHAEL (extremely dangerous) !!!! When we simply asked a question, he started yelling, screaming, and calling names. He was banging on the cash register and shouting across the entire store. His behavior was frightening and made us feel unsafe. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable, and I am requesting that this incident be investigated immediately. Title: Manager grabbed my child by the throat. We fled the parking lot in fear. This was not the first incident. On November 28, 2024, around 10:00 PM, I visited this Ralphs in Studio City with my three children -- six-year-old twins and my nine-year-old daughter -- to buy groceries and small toys for a Thanksgiving dinner. We paid in cash and were in good spirits; the children were happy and excited. At the checkout, the store manager aggressively grabbed my 9-year-old daughter by the throat without any provocation. I instinctively attempted to protect and pull my child away from her -- barely making any physical contact with the employee. In response, the manager accused me of "pushing" her and then began chasing us through the dark parking lot. My children were crying and screaming, "Mom, help!" I was forced to run onto the street with them, trying to escape the Ralphs manager's pursuit. We returned home in complete shock, unable to understand what had just happened. Instead of celebrating Thanksgiving, we were in tears and fear. The next day, my daughter was taken to the Emergency Room due to psychological trauma. n the following days, my children were anxious and fearful, concerned that the manager might have followed us from the parking lot to our home, where I live with my babies. This was not a misunderstanding. It was aggressive and threatening behavior from someone who is supposed to ensure customer safety. The manager refused to provide her name and wore no visible name tag. When we asked the cashier to call a store manage, she shouted: "I am the manager!" And unfortunately, this was not the first issue I experienced at this store. On a prior visit, a security guard refused me entry because I was carrying a regular women's handbag. I had to walk back to my car, and on the way, my iPhone fell onto the asphalt and broke. I had to purchase a new phone. At the time, I remained silent. This time -- I won't. As evidence, I have: * a video recording of the incident, * a police report, * medical documents and an Emergency Room record, * a formal complaint sent to Ralphs corporate office, * receipts and the toys purchased that evening, * screenshots of relevant reviews and testimony from my sister, who witnessed everything. There is no functioning customer service structure in this store. There is no respect for the people who come here to shop. And employees -- especially MANAGERS -- must meet professional and moral standards suitable for their positions. If you are a mother with children -- be cautious. I have filed formal complaints with the CRD, HHS, BBB, and FTC. Because this could happen again -- to other families, to other children. read more

It was my first time at this Ralph's and it was disappointing to see they didn't have many things I was looking for this Memorial Day weekend. They didn't have fresh garlic, fruits, and dressings. The people here were nice, but I didn't like that things weren't very organized as other Ralph locations and it was frustrating. Also the ambiance isn't the best as there are cameras everywhere! There's literally 20 cameras going down the checkout lines which leads me to believe there's a lot of theft here. That didn't make me feel like the customers coming in are very safe. This review is for Sarah. Purchased A Fortnite GC that for whatever reason could not be activated. Since it's a 3rd party seller I couldn't get a refund at the store. That's OK though. Sarah was on the phone with multiple reps, as there was another person with the same issue. This woman went above and beyond to try to find a resolution. The reps told her we needed to wait 24 hours and then call back. She was getting my number so that she could call me back the following day. Although I really appreciate her and her efforts, I didn't want her to continue the following day. She doesn't need to endure that frustration. Bottom line, superior customer service from Sarah. I don't know why when these workers see you with a cart full of groceries, knowing you're about to spend over $200 at their store because they can see your cart is full but still treat you rudely. Today they sold me beef jerky that expired TWO years ago! I tried calling to let someone know as there's a bunch more left on their shelf but their phone system makes it impossible to get through to anyone. I should have known better and kept an eye out. I wanted to compliment the Bakery staff at the Ralph's in Studio City on Ventura Blvd. at Coldwater Canyon Drive. In June 2023, I ordered 5 dozen chocolate cupcakes with 5 various colors of butter cream frosting for my grandson's 6th birthday party. The bakery supervisor took my order & was very professional. The 54 parents at the party raved how delicious & moist the cupcakes were. One parent even said that it tasted better than Susie Cakes! I later informed the bakery supervisor of the parents' comments, & thanked him for contributing to the party's success. read more

In the deli section, an employee named Rosie or Rosarita, was EXTREMELY rude to me. Reprimanded me 3 times for absolutely no reason. Said I was too close to the glass (what?), too close to the food (huh?). She wasn't even the employee helping me! I am an adult and even had my daughter with me. My 8 year old was even asking me why the lady was being so rude to me. The manager came over, he was clearly listening, and was so sweet and apologetic and offered my daughter a treat for seeing how horribly we were being treated. Ralphs is a great market but it really needs to update is food bar and bakery. I can never find somebody to write any sort of message on a cake because nobody is ever there. And then when they page somebody I have to stay on there for 20 minutes before anybody will show up. For some reason the cake and flower people always seem to be on lunch. read more

I recently started going to this location and let me tell you I have been enjoying my visits. It is not packed at all. There are people, but not as much as the Downtown and Hollywood locations. I have been shopping here almost on a daily basis because it is right next to my work which is very convenient The half dozen employee interactions I have had have been nice!! They have all been friendly to me. Giving me the code to the bathroom and telling me where stuff is. The store itself is very big like much of the ralphs. AC, stocked food. The items I have bought here are mostly for me to eat during lunch or before work. A quick snack and beverage to get me started for the day. I also enjoy the tables outside to sit if I have stuff to do or just want to relax for a bit. The area is really nice and I have enjoyed my couple visits here! The last time i came here was yesterday. It was an amazing beautiful Friday morning. A great start to my day and loved how the store looks outside. What's unfortunate is that this is the closest/nicest grocery store to my home that isn't Erewhon. It's been reliable for the 4 years I've lived in Studio City. I have my complaints about it generally (hard to find someone in the meat dept sometimes, folks behind the counter don't really have a great bedside manner, etc.), but I still go because it's convenient, it's about what I expect as far as prices go, and 99x/100 I'm typically satisfied with the experience. Until today. When I was made to feel like a jerk/a**hole for asking them to honor the price of the coupon on my Ralph's app. Rather than acknowledging that the coupon I presented was -- at a minimum -- misleading, the lady in the self-checkout adamantly refused to honor the coupon, and when I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor, I was told abruptly that they would not be available and were in a meeting. I pleaded my case, and each time, her responses to me grew meaner and less hospitable, as if I was aggressively trying to swindle her and the store. *I've never been to a store that flatly refused to honor a coupon/advertised deal. Probably because that practice has been illegal since longer than I've been alive.* Finally, a manager did come out to acknowledge that the coupon did in fact entitle me to the savings I was expecting, and what could have been a simple price-change on behalf of the self-checkout cashier turned into me having to wait 30 minutes while multiple Ralph's floor attendants simply refused to help and I was made to feel like an unreasonable jerk. I'll get over it, I'm sure, but I think I'm going to have to find a less convenient grocery store to go to now. A weekly customer for over 4 years is not coming back because of the way he was treated. I hope someone at Ralph's sees this (and similar reviews re: the lack of hospitality at this location) and decides to do something about it. read more

This Ralph's needs to do something about the Uber/Lyft drivers taking up all the spots in their parking lot. This location used to be my go to grocery store. But slowly over time the parking lot has slowly become more and more full. Even the side street parking has slowly filled up. "Good for Ralph's." I thought to myself even though it became more and more difficult to find a parking spot. Then I realized something. The entire outer row of the parking lot was/is full of cars and the drivers of which are all just standing around looking at their phones. PLUS they all have Uber/Lyft stickers on their windows. Occasionally one would look at his/her phone then run and jump into his car and drive away. I'm no detective, but it seems painfully clear what's going on. I don't know what Ralph's should do. I'm sure that a lot of these drivers buy a bottle of water so they're technically a "customer" and are essentially "paying to park", but the last few times I've tried to go to this grocery store there has not been a SINGLE SPOT in the lot. What does this mean? I went somewhere else to buy my groceries. The actual Ralph's is fine. It's not as fancy/new/big as the Ralph's further down ventura to the west, but it's nice. Unfortunately for them, and me, and you, that doesn't do anyone any good if there's no where to park to get inside the store. Come on Ralph's. Crack down on your parking situation! read more

I was really impressed with how the Ralph's bakery created my cake for my nephews Birthday. We are still very much so in a pandemic and they took precautions seriously. They wear mask ,gloves & the area of the Bakery is very clean. Moving forward I ordered a cake for my nephew and the frosting and cake was perfect! Everything was balanced beautifully. The cake was moist & the buttercream frosting was soft and tasty. I have been to other bakeries like individually owned etc. and I have to say that this cake looked and tasted as well as an independent bakery would. They also value their customers because if you give a fair amount of time they're always willing to have your cake prepared on the day you want/special day as opposed to other places. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. The service at this pharmacy used to be wonderful. Over the last year, the service has gone downhill. 1. They often fail to complete online refill requests. I now have to come in to the store and wait on line to ask them to complete a previously-submitted request. 2. They sometimes fail to fulfill monthly "auto-refills" on time. They no longer call you to let you know if they run into a problem. 3. At least one time, they handed me a partially unfilled prescription without telling me. The tech just shoved it into a bag without saying a word. I discovered the situation only after I got home. 4. They rarely answer the phone. read more

This Ralph's is one of the few I've seen that caters to all dietary needs huge kosher section and noticeable gluten free labels throughout not to mention a ton of plant based, vegetarian and vegan options. The layout of the store can be overwhelming if you've never been here but most of the employees are helpful, plus every section is clearly labelled - super big liquor isle. I do feel like they're also on semi-high alert possibly due to some minor theft, with a store this size they should constantly have associates on the floor not solely in the front or department areas. They have my favorite brand of cookies here, whole foods being the only other place that carries them Uncle Eddie's (in the frozen food section) - though they don't carry the best of the best flavor chocolate chip with walnut... they do have the other three. Good produce, great deals, spotless floors. I never drive here, but agree on certain days and times it fills up more than expected - and it's never too packed inside but don't expect to be the only one eyeing that unique item you like at this location... I am very fond of my local Ralph's. I've gotten to know all of the checkers, some of the bag people, the fishmonger, and the butcher. The butcher has given me his mother's secret for how to make perfect buffalo wings (I cannot tell you because it is a secret, so you will have to befriend the butcher to find out). This Ralph's often has a 50% off shrimp and crab sale. This Ralph's ordered sheepherders bread when I requested it be stocked. This Ralph's has hired an elderly person and a mentally challenged person as bag people, which I highly respect. This Ralph's has really tasty fried chicken! This Ralph's has a decent produce section and great meat. Friendly service and reasonable parking! It's also conveniently near a Starbucks, a Petco, and a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (Southwest corner of Ventura and Coldwater Canyon in the mall with Yen Sushi, Western Bagel, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, and Cy Devore clothing). This Ralph's is large enough to have a good variety, but small enough so as not to become overwhelming -- like the Ralph's at Ventura and Vineland or the Ralph's at Ventura and Hazeltine. One of the managers, Arthur, is particularly nice and always wears a stylish tie. Good place to shop! read more

I've been going to this Ralph's for almost fifteen years, and since COVID it's gone down hill. Aside from Ashley and two or three other cashier's it's just not good. And Stephen, how does this guy have a job!? He takes forever, even if you have frozen goods, he'll walk away from the register to do whatever the hell it is he's doing. And you must have a bagger for this guy, he crushes my stuff every time to the point where I have to rebag it at my car so it's not ruined. I tend to go to the super Ralph's I. The website states they are open until 1 am. I arrived at 12:55 am. Granted, it was late in the night but definitely before the store was set to close. I got to the door and it's locked and the security guard is looking at me from the other side. I point to my watch and said they are still open. A manager comes to the door and I said, "You should still be open, it's before 1 am." He said, "We closed 20 minutes ago". Why bother stating your hours if you just plan to close early as if it's no big deal. The guy was rude and incredulous that I was even bothered by the fact that they should still be open according to their own website. Shady and lame. This is by far my favorite Ralph's. I can almost always get parking, their selection of organic and vegan foods is constantly expanding, and the produce manager is friendly and knowledgeable. That said, I recently bought an organic watermelon and two organic eggplants which looked fine but were rotten on the inside and inedible. I returned to the store without the rotten food. Not only did they refund my purchase, but I got phone calls from the store manager and the regional manager to check to see if I was satisfied with the response to my complaint. I was honestly blown away by the attention to a relatively small problem. I avoid the magnolia avenue store because of the local homeless population that unfortunately spills into the store and actively panhandles in the aisles until they're asked to leave, making the shopping experience less than ideal, and the new store on Ventura in Sherman oaks is laid out in a way that I find annoying and counter intuitive, with like items spread halfway across the store for reasons I can't fathom. WARNING!!!! DO NOT shop here unless you are paying cash. My boyfriend and I have had enormous amounts of fraud on our debit cards from this location!!!!! Not sure if it's an inside job and the employees can't be trusted or an outside source but unless you want your grocery bill to turn into THOUSANDS of dollars worth of gift cards, gas fill ups, snack store and Walmart charges and then need to have your cards shut off, accounts compromised and wait to be reimbursed and have new debit cards sent to you - shop elsewhere or only with cash (if you must) since this store doesn't give two fucks about their customers. read more

The security people at this Ralphs are inadequate. No experience and afraid. I live near this Ralph's and I have decided that after seeing some of the things that go on here I won't be returning.
