DO NOT ORDER A CAKE FROM HERE…read more I ordered two number cakes - a 4 and a 0 - with an ocean theme and 24 cupcakes each for a party for 45 guests. The photos on the site showed two rows of cupcakes to make each number, flat gradient blue icing and piped bubbles and seaweed. When I picked it up it was 28 cupcakes TOTAL with a SPONGEBOB theme, NO ocean, piped frosting. I had to remove all SpongeBob and add my own last minute palm trees and flowers to give it a bit of an ocean vibe. The cake was also vile. Attaching a photo so you can see the number of cupcakes we were given. It was too late to fix as I picked it up on the way to the party, thankfully I had the palm trees. The people at the bakery were inept and couldn't even string sentences together enough to apologize. I'll never use this bakery again.

Anyway, Adrian (sorry if I misspelled your name, sir) answered the phone and was very polite and courteous while taking my order. Now, this is a "you buy, we fry" service inside a grocery store, so I wasn't quite sure if I could call in an order. But after my last visit, where I placed an order and walked around the store while the fish was frying, I honestly didn't see why they wouldn't allow it. I originally wanted catfish fillets, but they were out. Adrian offered catfish nuggets as a substitute, but I passed. I then asked for red snapper or rockfish, but they had neither. I moved on to cod, but at $19.99 a pound, I said, "Not today." Finally, he told me they had tilapia for $10.99 a pound, so I ordered two pounds. He asked what seasoning I wanted, and I told him I wanted to try all three -- Cajun, lemon pepper, and one other that I can't remember. He told me it would be ready in 12 minutes, and when I arrived 12 minutes later, it was ready! It was fresh, hot, and delicious. I could hardly wait to get back home and eat it all lol. She is Jewish and Sherman Oaks has a big Jewish community here. The neighborhood is not the best because it borders Van Nuys. But to the subject, I like shopping here. Parking is annoying here, and they need to hire more employees. People do steal from here. I have seen security chase them. Some of the employees may seem rude, but I have not come across any yet. But I still like shopping here when in the area.

They also had a bulgogi cheesesteak and that was bomb. Truthfully, it might seem a little pricey at first, but considering the area you're in, it makes sense and honestly it's worth it. One tip though. Make sure you read the labels before grabbing your sushi. I accidentally picked up a few pieces made with brown rice, and personally I thought the ones made with white rice were much better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Parking is super easy and convenient. You just drive up the ramp, go through the gate (it opens automatically), and there's no ticket needed. You even get one hour free, which is a huge plus. There's plenty of parking both underground and at street level in the Citrus Commons complex. I'm a big fan of Trader Joe's in general and shop here every week. What makes this store special is the selection -- you can find so many unique products that you won't see in other grocery chains, including a lot of European-style foods. Some of our favorites are eggplant spread, sauerkraut, frozen sweet cheese pancakes (blinchiki), pork dumplings, and many other great items. Prices are reasonable (around average), especially considering the quality and uniqueness of the products. The staff here is incredibly friendly -- honestly, one of the nicest teams I've seen in any grocery store. The atmosphere is always welcoming, clean, and easy to navigate. Another great bonus: there are actually two Trader Joe's stores right across the street from each other on Riverside Drive. This newer location is bigger, brighter, and has even more variety. The only downside: the female cashier who checked me out yesterday did not bag items for me (other places they do it automatically) that was odd. She stood there as I bagged them.
