I was very pleased to find a 10 piece brown rice veggie roll for $7.50: and even though they've taken away the tables - because undoubtedly the unhoused accumulated around them - and the store pays as little per hour to their employees as possible... It was redeeming to find a nutritional snack for a reasonable price.. If only Kroger would become, an employee owned, profit shared framework then true progress would be struck. read more

I am going to update my review from 4 stars to 3 stars for different reasons. Walked in on the 1st of this month around 7pm, and we needed limited items from different aisles. Didn't get any greeting from any one of the employees. They were busy on their cellphones. Armando, one of their employees was just walking around pretending that he was doing something close to nothing. I wanted to get couple of grab n go sandwiches from the in-store Starbucks. The guy inside had the lights off, and pretending that he is counting money in the dark. How cool is that? I asked if he could help me without looking up, he said register is closed and that he doesn't work for Starbucks. I got a mini watermelon, a small jar of ginger, 6 peaches not fully ripe; and one was even a little bruised. It was in a bag. I saw it when I got home. 5 bananas, 3 big, nice Envy apples, and 10 piece Spicy Tuna Roll from their ready made section. Lines were long, employees were just chit chatting, no one opened another register, and they kept telling me to use the self check out that I personally don't like. Cashier was one of their managers at register #11. The guy who packed my groceries was helpful, kind with a nice smile. It's a very big store, and it was clean. Can't forget to mention that they need new ink for their receipt. I had to write down everything on another piece of paper to itemize the items. Glad that I did. Used their restroom. Out of toilet paper, barely any soap, and no seat covers. Can't forget to mention that the toilet was not even flushed. Huge parking lot shared with other businesses. Also, underground parking along with elevators are available for your convenience. The rest, you can read in my previous review. read more

I'm outside, sitting on a filthy curb. I look across the way to gentlemen are sitting on the other filthy curb around this little curb. Two other people are eating standing up. It is so discourteous of this Ralphs location to not offer tables and chairs for their customers who grab food on the go make a sit on your filthy floor to eat it my Sherman Oaks Ralph's offers us tables and chairs next time I'll make sure and only shop there they care about the people who buy grab and go read more

I am not a regular shopper of Ralph's grocery store as I do not have one near my home. I happened to stop at this location as I was craving a sesame seed bagel. Upon entering the store, I was in awe. This store was very well organized and offered so many items I am not used to seeing at my local grocery stores. The store is a good size, was very clean and shiny and was fully stocked with any food item you can imagine. I love that the fact by joining their rewards program, I received great discounted on a several items I purchased in addition to my great tasting and fresh sesame seed bagel. I contacted store employees in the deli, bakery and checkout areas of the store and each employee was friendly, helpful and professional. I drive to the valley once per week for knee therapy and from now on, this will become a regular stop of mine. read more

Although this was my first time here, I was able to find exactly what I was looking for in the skincare section on the bottom rack. This store is a gient among Ralphs and seems to have everything a person could wnat from a grocery store. Popped in for a few items after a nearby doctor appointment and really love this location! There is ample parking, and the whole store is very tidy and well laid out with some beautiful displays. The produce looks fantastic and fresh. Nice little Starbucks tucked away inside as well. some fun, novelty items throughout the store and very beautiful flower bouquets! The sushi was nice and fresh and they made it for me there right on the spot. Even gave me extra ginger and wasabi upon request. Very nice helpful employees! A lot of deals as well as many items on sale. read more

It's a local must and location favorite. The parking lot is probably the most challenging with limited parking for Ralphs and shared large plaza neighboring business. They have additional parking to the back end as well as parking underground/below. Ralphs - Studio City is often busy day or night and you can usually find everything you'd looking for and more. The isles a clean and the service serene. They carry a solid selection of craft beer/brew, wine and some great vegan, vegetarian and gluten free finds. You can do self checkout or take up a line. They have many clerks on duty, more so doing the day. If local or on foot via metro it's near numerous stops for a few local public routes as well as Universal City/Studio City Station. Shop at one of the best (locations), eat fresh (their produce can be the best)! read more

The absolute worst service. Not a single cashier at checkout. I purchased 132 items and was told to do it myself at self checkout. I am disabled and needed assistance was told "too bad". Most self checkout stations don't even let you through if you have more than 25 items. Save yourself some money and go to ALDI, you bag items there yourself but the customer service and prices are much better. Also spent almost 15 minutes asking various employees for the bathroom code and all of the men told me they didn't have the women's code and walked away from me. Not one employee offered to get the womens code for me. I spent almost $300 here to be treated like sh*t. read more

I'm a regular ass Ralph's I came here with my baby in a stroller and the security guard was walking around like I was stealing and kept saying hello to me. He was the black gentleman. I find that very interesting when I never try to storm out I literally was shopping and I cannot have a grocery cart and a stroller at the same time I found this verydisrespectful and rude. They need to take this location down with new management and new staff and open a Aldi. That would make a big difference for the community. Most likely will not be coming back. read more

My buddy (Duane, the manager) is here. He always greets his customers with a smile and warm words. Today, he was just as congenial as he has been in the past. No conspicuous security following me around the store today. Respect has been restored. Pure redemption. I am thoroughly satisfied. I can return to this Ralph's again with confidence. Thanks Duane. You're Ralph's best asset at THIS supermarket. Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

A quick shout-out for Officer T in Security! I always try to commend people that are exceptional at their job and he is. Hopefully management will take good care of him and all their great staff like Kerry, Duane, and everyone that works there! Great people! read more

This Ralph's has gone downhill from mediocre to just terrible. You can tell the employees don't care anymore. Prices up, service down. And it's a sketchy area. read more

Interesting store! We parked on the upper level, and took the Rock'n'roll elevator to the lower floor to enter Ralph's. We were here to buy gift cards, but first we used the restrooms. A nice employee in the produce section helped us find them. They were not in the best condition, but they were usable in an emergency. We were going to get Ralph's gift cards for family, but we couldn't find them. We found gift cards for everything else you could think of. We did find some fun cards to slip gift cards into. We checked out quickly, and our cashier was cordial and efficient. We took the elevator up to our car, and got out of the parking lot quickly for our next destination. read more

Bad service for many years no enough people or communication. Can't wait till they go under.

I have been going to this Ralphs for years. Today was the last day. This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I was approached by a person asking who my internet provider is to get me to switch. This is INSIDE the store. But this time they did not take no for an answer and tried to force the subject. I emailed the corporate office the first time to ask if they allow this. I am still waiting for a answer to that question. Today I ask the Manager in person if they allow soliciting inside the store. He said no, but its still happening. I do not want to be harassed while I am shopping for food. Why does the store allow this? I will be taking my business to Gelsons in North Hollywood. Its farther and its more expensive but I know I won't be harassed in the store about my internet provider. They have also blocked 6 parking spaces closest to the entrance ( in a lot thats already difficult to park in ) for "Pick Ups". EVERYONE is picking up!!! And is anyone else sick of companies asking for donations/"round up"?? Charity is my choice at the time I decide I would like to make that donation. I don't want a business panhandling me as I give them my business. read more

Last month we bought groceries at the Ralph's on 10901 Ventura right across from Universal Studios. Five stars for value and zero stars for customer service. The sales manager spent nearly 5 entire minutes chatting and "shooting the breeze" to the customers ahead of us, even after their order had been paid for and bagged. This is extremely rude, inefficient and unkind to the many customers waiting in line during a busy lunch time. Do better! read more

I was physically intimidated and publicly mocked by Bobby Elias, who claimed to be the manger. This happened today, July 3, 2023, at a little after 10am. He and another employee who was not wearing a name tag invaded my personal space, became physically aggressive and threatening, jammed electronic devices into my face, laughed at me and called me names when I made a complaint today. I was absolutely shocked. Never *needed* to make a complaint ever before today, have been shopping here since 2008, all previous interactions with employees have been lovely and positive. Bobby Elias made me feel profoundly unsafe today, with zero reason to do so. He should be fired for cause, along with the "mystery" employee (a white man with grey hair and beard). I will continue to follow up until this issue is addressed. Shame on you, Bobby Elias. Update: went back today and "mystery employee" is still working there. Looked like he was once again in an altercation with a customer. Why is this man who intimidated me, called me names and laughed at me still employed at this store? Am I to take it that Ralphs approves of what he did??? Baffling. Edit: managed to snap a photo of the aggressive "mystery employee". Still don't have his name, but this is what he looks like. He is a frightening, aggressive man and when I snapped the picture he appeared to be arguing with and intimidating yet another customer. read more

I would like to give this Ralphs grocery location again another 5 stars. I just recently visited their floral department this last Saturday night to buy flowers for a special person and Aurora (aka: Gold) was so kind and helpful in helping me put together an amazing bouquet of flowers. She clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to flowers and Ralphs is lucky to have her. Thank you again, Aurora, and thank you Ralphs for selling great flowers! I'll be back again. I love this particular Ralph's market, and no, it is not comparable to other Ralph's stores around LA because this store has the best and the sweetest employees and the best vegan product selection (check my attached photos and descriptions for some of the great plant based options). Store is very organized and shelves are always full, because staff makes sure to refill all shelves regularly. When I moved from another state, it took me some time to find my daily market, that has acceptable prices and high quality products. Amazing staff just makes it even better. I love the app, and all monthly coupons that I am receiving in my mail, specially that coupons are not just random, it was selected as per your previous purchase history. Fruit and vegetable section is wonderful, so fresh and so many options. All together, very happy. :) read more

They got a good deal on fried chicken but you gotta wait if they make it fresh - but I was annoyed when I wasn't told it was done and had to go get it out of the hot shelves or whatever . I would be annoyed and Focus on that if I didn't encounter Susie I think her name was. She was super kind and funny and understanding of our little small talk, and she's a very good kind hearted person after hearing a little bit about our life. Take that however you'd like - that's some real customer service right there. Employees like that will keep a business moving. ‍ 5 stars. read more

I've shopped at this store since it opened. They nearly always have what I need, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly. However, they have a security guard who refuses to wear his mask over his nose. He has done this for months. When I've spoken to him about it, he fixes it while I'm watching, then moves it back when he thinks I'm not looking. When I've spoken to store managers I've been told "I'll talk to him." Either they don't talk or he doesn't listen. Regardless, this guard shows that security is the last thing on his mind. As long as the store is unable to deal with him, I will have to shop elsewhere. read more

Good ol' Ralph's! Fond memories first back when in undergrad at ucla (just down the street), of great grocery-store finds available for grab-n-go of dining options as well when you're opting to have a night of no-cooking --many many salads and veggie options along with meats, etc. obviously it can be found in many cities and zip codes, and it's always clean, neatly organized and fast service. This place is bad. Sunday 6/9/24 at 5pm. No one in Deli. When they show up they say just a minute. And continue what they're doing after I've been standing there with a number for over 5 minutes. Wanted the so so looking ribs. I walked away. Later after picking up just a few more things I try and contact manager. Manager working the register. Told by an employee that he was too busy. You are understaffed, I already don't go to the Ralph's at Coldwater and Ventura because 4 years ago watched homeless person drink orange juice out of bottle and put it back on the shelf. I have worked in grocery stores for multiple years, so I have seen a lot. The good and bad This is my favorite first visit to an LA grocery store. I was wowed by inventory, excited about sales, and impressed with the liquor section. Large departments are well stocked. "Customer service is subpar" At self checkout, there are a couple of reps with stellar service like Mercedes and Kerri. But there is a Dominican lady there who can be rude and dry to people, especially when she's chatting with a customer that she knows and you ask for assistance. I've talked to other customers while there, and they've mentioned that she can come off rude and abrasive. Maybe keep her at the register and let the other representatives continue their stellar help. What the other lady doesn't offer is - A smile when greeting - Keep chatting to people to a minimum when people are looking for assistance. - Offer bags upfront like how the other reps do and stop having people have to come and ask for them. - Keep up a positive attitude because we can see that you're having a bad day. We only now shop there if we really need a few items. Now Vons has our business, and their reps at self checkout are top-notch. So that goes to show that it takes one negative attitude to make people stop shopping there and positive attitudes that'll make you remember their names. read more

How did I forget my favorite Ralph's? When I lived in this area, this was definitely the grocery store to hit. Too many self-checkout stations staffed, so if you want help you gotta wait and if it's the wrong time of day you must go self-serve if you don't look disabled.
