It's unbelievably refreshing to find a store in our community that offers so many staples in bulk as well as sustainable items, particularly since other re-fill places are located farther away across town. This store is so clean and well laid out while the staff is so friendly and helpful. You can bring your own containers where you weigh them before filling them which has simplified my life. At other grocery stores that offer staples in bulk, I've often miscalculated the amount needed and ended up underbuying or overbuying. My only complaint about re_grocery is that they need more locations! re-grocery is truly a gem that I will definitely frequent! read more

Yes it's definitely an old school living in the frontier general store style concept. You can pick up tiny portions to spoon and cups full depending upon your recipe and requirement. If you are trying new recipes, cooking for beginners then you can come and pick ingredients here. I would say bring li'l zip locks with names of things u want to buy. So u don't get charged for paper baggies. Service was quick. Do try corn bites. Coconut mango super bites were a bit stale due to coconut content in there and not many buying here. read more

I've been to both this store and their Hillhurst branch. I'm really glad they are both so near, because it's hard finding bulk food, cleaning, and beauty products in one place. I am trying to go as plastic-free as possible, so I bring in my own glass containers, but they have containers there you can buy. extremely clean interior, i love how uniform all the labels and interior design is. they have such a large selection of pantry staples, oils (!!!), teas and other drink powders (matcha, hojicha, coffees, etc), snacks, cleaning liquids (detergent, dish soap, etc), kitchen supplies, and more. there were so many fun specialty items! this was such a treat to stumble upon. the prices are pretty comparable and maybe cheaper than that of sprouts? i would definitely recommend and if this were closer to where i live, this would be my go-to grocery store read more

Wow, I was not expecting a zero waste store near me but am so glad I found this! The workers were incredibly kind and Tristan was so helpful, showing me how everything worked and answered my million questions. The only thing that disappointed me was seeing they sold animal products here. Considering the cruelty towards animals and the terrible environmental impact, it seemed a bit counterintuitive. Moving away from Studio City made me realize how much I miss being close to a re_grocery. Staff are always kind and very helpful with the weighing/rate process for newbies & I've found it's a great place for everything cooking to snacks to hygiene. I've been more interested in their liquid/bar shampoos, and I'm pleased to report they do work just as well. I don't remember the exact liquid one I purchased, but it had lavender I believe. Not an overwhelming smell and left my hair feeling clean, like I used the shampoo I'm used to. Some notable things @ re: 00 flour for bakers that don't like clumps/having to sift American flour, tea leaf mixes, flaky salts for garnish, cleaning liquids for multiple surfaces around the house, and lotions/hand soaps. I also like that they briefly partnered with food banks (?) to donate plastic utensils, since I had many laying around the kitchen with no real use for them. I find myself saving a lot of my glass jars from pasta sauces, honeys, syrups, etc. and this is the perfect place to reuse them. We need more re_grocerys! read more

Love the concept because I'm always looking for ways to reduce waste, but I was surprised at the register. Most things are slightly more expensive, like the tofu and hemp seeds I got were about $2 more than if I had gone to Trader Joe's, but I refilled a large jug of vinegar (which I go through a lot of at a time to clean my coffee maker) and it was $17!! Costs $4 elsewhere. There's also a 3% employee wellness fee tacked on to your total as well. I was hesitant to write this review because again, I love the concept and the employees are so kind, but I can't get over the sticker shock for the vinegar (which like everything else is charged for by weight... I don't know how much a gallon of vinegar weighs without having to do some calculations and you know what, maybe I should have looked up the density of vinegar lol). I might be back for the laundry detergents and occasional dry goods refill, but this won't be my primary spot for anything since it's kind of pricey. read more

While I love the concept some of the prices are really exorbitant. I paid $35 , yes $35 for macha mix and it taste like dirt and made me nauseous. I followed the exact directions on their site and added only water as directed. I don't know if it's stale or what but it's just awful. The cacao nibs were not that flavorful either. Very bland. The fruit and veggie wash seems to be doing the job. And the jars for sale are great. The woman helping me was fantastic and the store overall has a great vibe. I'm passionate about re grocery! There are no packages of any kind. Everything is in bulk. You bring your own jars or other containers, weigh them to tare out their weight, and fill them with as little or as much as you want. They have everything from spices to beans to cereals to soaps to oils and vinegars and virtually anything else you can sell in bulk. Everything is organic, almost everything is vegan (as all grains, legumes, etc are anyway), and the prices are slightly less than Whole Foods and quite reasonable for what you get. If you are trying to reduce waste and eliminate plastic from your life, buy 10-20 mason jars of various sizes, label them (like I did with my trusty label maker), and hit re_grocery. I LOVE IT. I love the easy layout and all the different products but noticed some of the foods prices were exorbitant . A handful of yogurt pretzels that wouldn't last a single serving was $5 and some change. It was also slightly stale. The hand soap and other bathing soaps were affordable compared to the other refill shop I go to and I'll be returning for that, but probably not the food. read more

This is such a cool interactive and cheap way to shop. I got groceries valued at 200 for under 80 bc I brought all my own jars. It takes about 30 min longer than your average grocery experience and a little more forethought but well worth it. Kind and knowledge staff as well. read more
