As a chef, I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I'd heard of Wild Fork for years but had never actually been inside. I'm so glad I finally changed that. From the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and all of the guys working there made it a point to let me know they were available if I needed help. As a first-time shopper, I never felt judged for asking questions or taking my time looking around. They were also extremely helpful getting my account set up and explaining how everything worked. The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection. They carry sauces, seasonings, and other staples, and there were some really good sales happening at the front of the store. Parking was easy, and while most people seemed to get in and out quickly, I happily wandered every aisle because I wanted to see everything. really like Wild Fork. This store specializes in frozen products and has a very large selection, including different types of meat, poultry, seafood, and fish. They also have great octopus, a big variety of steaks, and a good selection of Wagyu beef. Everything is well organized, and it is easy to find what you need. I like that they offer many options that you do not always find in regular grocery stores. This is a great place if you enjoy cooking at home and want good quality frozen products. An all frozen-meat and seafood market located in Encino. They had a really large selection of fish, chicken, beef, lamb, etc. I hadn't realized it was all frozen, until I walked in! I had the anticipation of something great unfolding on Ventura Blvd. When the doors opened, it was like a candy store for protein. The store is super clean and layout perfect to navigate. I order from here regularly for over a year now, and I typically use their apo to place my order and p/u in the store to save time. Yesterday I was so pressed for time that I my online order would gave taken too long to wait so within 5 minutes of being inside the store, was able to find every single item on my shopping list with ease! The store clerk was so incredibly helpful and brought the items to my car, as I have a neck injury and it's difficult to lift heavy weight. I would love to consider delivery from this establishment however their membership requirement is too steep. I would like to see more ORGANIC items on the shelves. Finally came in to check this place out! I bought the New York strip, prime aged 17 days, pink shrimp from the Keys, Barramundi fillet, and Basque cheesecake. Just had the steak and it's perfection. This is one of those places where I want no one else to know about because I love it so much. But they deserve some props. If you cook meat at home, this is the place for you. They have all sorts of cuts available, frozen fresh and ready for you to defrost any day. Most cuts are pre cut small enough so it usually defrosts overnight in the fridge. One of the nice things about this place is that they meat or cuts that you've probably never had before. While that sounds intimidating, there may be a few sample recipes so that you don't feel completely blind when picking them up. Service is good. I've ran into a variety of employees at this location, but I've only had good interactions so far. It looks like they are very picky about who their employees and I appreciate that. Aside from the meat selection, I also appreciate the layout. Most meat shops are usually very crammed, feel cold and seems like the butcher is right next to you. This place is very bright, open and spacious so you feel very comfortable moving around and picking up the products you want. read more

So glad they opened up a store close by. I use order my meat with them online and have it delivered. The bad thing about that is that you don't know what kind of quality meat that you will received. With the store close by you can come in a pick and choose. They pretty have all different cuts a of meat that you desire for bbq or for the smoker. Besides your meat they also carry a good amount of seafood to choose from. Service was fantastic and very friendly. They have there own private lot so parking is easy. I find myself giving reviews for grocery stores recently and I have to say that this place have good meat and seafood selection. I have been looking for sirloin cap (picanha) and only found it in this store. They also have other gear cuts that's not found in your regular grocery store. However you buy the meat frozen so it's not something you can cook right away. In order to cook the meat I bought, I left it defrost in the fridge for a few days. I grilled the sirloin cap and turned out pretty well. There's a lot of parking and the store is clean and organized. read more

If you want exotic meats, this is the place for you. The employees are knowledgeable and can help with your questions. Parking lot is not too big, but I've never had any issues finding parking here. There's a wide selection of different and hard to find meats. This is not your regular run of the mill market. I definitely recommend this place for sure. Only issue is that all of the meats are frozen, so if you are planning to cook them same day, that will be very difficult. But for future cooks, this is a no brainer. read more

Please do something about the quality of order delivery. Love the store, ordering online is a huge inconvenience. Many buildings in LA have gated access, it doesn't make sense why this should make deliveries consistently fail. Somehow it's too difficult to look at the Order Notes listing the building gate/access code. Customer service confirmed that delivery has access to the order notes field. Please fix the delivery system to more clearly show the gate codes or possibly train delivery personnel to read the order. Reading the note is much faster than calling once to gain access before returning back to the store.. Edit: just want everyone to know I do love the meat at this store. Love wild fork simply because you can meal prep easily! Their flash frozen products are of high quality and tastes fresh once cooked. You wouldn't think that it was frozen. Today, I picked up chicken fajitas, burger sliders with brioche buns(frozen as well) zucchini, pesto butter sauce, mash potatoes, and other items. I can't wait to prep them and cook them all. Months ago, before this Wild Fork location opened, I would often drive by and think, "I can't wait to come here one day." Well, yesterday was the day. I didn't even realize that this location had opened; they were doing a promo event in the parking lot and I was like FINALLY, and had to come in. I am so glad I did. Such a diverse selection, such wonderful packaging, and incredibly helpful and pleasant staff. I left with some seafood, some appies, some beef, and even a couple of desserts! Highly recommend the beef here - I made some for lunch today and really liked the quality of the cuts. The beef selection entails domestic and international options. You'll find wagyu from Japan, an assortment of kosher quality meats, and a mix of very lean and very fatty items. Everything is packaged frozen, but very easy to defrost. Freshness is a priority, despite the frozen nature, so rest assured. Prices are also quite reasonable, which is great. The only thing I wasn't crazy about - their restroom was out of order. :/ I was in for a quick stop, but that part wasn't great. Ample parking in their lot, or else on the street. Located right by Claudine and Mendocino Farms, across from Amazon Fresh, CVS and Starbucks. Very near Gelson's, too. Will be back next week! read more

Interesting selection of meat and seafood from this frozen meat and seafood chain based in Florida. They also carry frozen fruit, vegetables, and desserts such as a key lime pie from the Florida Keys. The more I started digging online about Wild Fork I am not so sure if I should be shopping at Wild Fork. Probably every major grocery store or company out there has some controversy if we Google it, but it is good to be aware of these things. Wild Fork is owned by JBS, a Brazilian company and the largest meat packer in the world. JBS "slaughters over 50,000 cattle per day." That's how huge the parent company is. A quick search online shows that the Wild Fork corporate office is located in Dorval, Florida. A quick online search came up with the following info about its parent company: "JBS, a Brazilian meat giant, faces ongoing controversy surrounding allegations of deforestation, environmental damage, corruption, and labor violations, including sourcing cattle from illegally deforested land and engaging in price-fixing schemes." YIKES. Wild Fork also had a lawsuit "to resolve allegations of national origin and race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation against a Hispanic female employee." YIKES. All this searching about Wild Fork was triggered by looking up the kind of shrimp I bought on sale at Wild Fork. The Argentine shrimp I bought is on the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch "do not buy list" because it poses "a high risk to the environment." Why would Wild Fork carry this kind of shrimp? A red flag that Wild Fork doesn't care about sustainability and the environment. YIKES. Knowing this information definitely makes me want to think twice about shopping at Wild Fork or look things up before I buy it. Is buying meat and seafood at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Aldi, or Trader Joe's any better than Wild Fork? You can check this place out and be the judge. I did enjoy perusing their frozen meat and seafood selection. If you're looking for exotic meats, they carry bison, venison, crocodile, and the like. The service at the register was friendly and there was plenty of parking in their lot on a week day. If you're curious like me, it's worth a visit just to check it out. read more

Found this place on whim was looking for big thick cuts of beef bacon and came upon this treasure trove of meat! I mean they have the cheapest cuts to the priciest cuts that you see on Masterchef. They have fish, poultry, beef, lamb, you name it! I was in awe of how clean the store was as well from the floors to the meat organization even the employees looked clean! Well dressed in uniform was milking around restocking and they were super friendly too :) I signed up for points the quality of the meat was to die for I made a stew with a fair priced beef chuck and got my delicious beef bacon for breakfast 10/10 read more

Low quality meat. There's nothing wild about Wild Fork. Bought a pack of texas gulf shrimp, steelhead trout, and some bacon for $35. Almost everything in the store is farm raised/non organic. The shrimp tasted like pure pool chlorine indicating they spoiled and chemicals were added to mask the taste/smell, the steelhead trout could have been farm raised atlantic salmon for all I know and had tons of bones inside, the bacon didn't seem any better than your typical highly processed $3.99 farmer john stuff from local grocery stores. We wandered around and looked at everything - so many great options. We were able to find some of our staples - just bare chicken - along with so many new items! We were also very pleasantly surprised by the prices. My husband picked up a tomahawk steak for $36! We also found gluten free dinner rolls in the freezer section, so grabbed some of those. The steaks had no designation on the package as to what grade they were, so I can only assume it is choice at best. If it were prime it would have said so. If you really love your meat as I do, get it fresh at Gelson's. Prime rib eyes, NY strips, tri-tips or filets. Opt for fresh Wagyu if you're feeling special. read more
