    Happy Mother's Day 2025

Happy Mother's Day. This is a well stocked store and it's clean and bright. We like to shop in the late evening when there are less customers and less lines at the check out. We needed a few items and we found exactly what we were looking for and at the prices we were willing to pay.

I really don't like to give a one or two stars negative reviews and it is always " painful " but this store forced me to it . I was in urgent need of a few items for a recipe and this place seemed to be closer than my usual ones. Inside the store, very few people were observing any social distancing specially at the fruit and vegetables section, the weird organisation of the display not facilitating the task . What really irritated me was that there was a customer roaming without a mask (not to mention the ones with the mask on the mouth). When I asked the manager why no one would say anything, the answer was: corporate directives are not to have any discussion with customers! I didn't feel good in this store and left for my usual place on Fair Oakes.

Ralph's might just be a grocery store / supermarket to some, but it's been a life saver for me. Many occasions I'd be searching for something in the middle of the night and somehow Ralph's always came through. It might sound crazy, but one doesn't need to a resident of Pasadena to know Ralph's is clutch. Ralph's reminds me of Albertson's in so many ways: iconic yet dated with an entire community of people that are all about it. It's not much to look at but it's well stocked, spacious, clean, with plenty of parking. Not many supermarkets in general will remain open into the wee hours, but this is one that fits the bill. While there are always bound to be some duds for employees, I've generally found most people that work here to be friendly and professional. They're good about helping folks find what they need and are efficient with checking peeps out during busier hours. Prices are somewhere in the middle, which is a blessing, given this is LA.

In addition to Trader Joe's and Seafood City, this is also one of our regular go-to supermarket... 3 stars!!! Pretty good size Ralph's which translates to pretty good and well-stocked selection of products in all departments. I love that the produce section carries some veggies for Asian cooking. Considering the demographics in the area, I would love to see the selection expanded even more. The store also carries Asian fruits, although the prices are much higher when compared to Asian supermarkets. In addition, this Ralph's has a meat department that offers a good variety of poultry, pork, and beef products, but the seafood offerings are somewhat limited. However, when Ralph's put meat products on sale, the bargains are often too good to pass up. This Ralph's also has two self check-out areas, each adjacent to each of the two entrances, so it's pretty easy to check out if you are just buying a couple of items. I still prefer to check out with a staff member, however, and the staff has always been friendly. As of November, 2020, bringing your own reusable bags is okay despite COVID, but you have to bag your own items.

    Ask the Community - Ralphs

Does anyone know if this Ralph's location has a StarBucks inside?

    no.

Does anyone know if they still do key duplications? I remember seeing a sign before that they did but now I'm not sure.

There is but they do not cut the keys for you. It is like a vending machine. You put your key in and answer a couple of questions. The machine makes an account for you and copy of the key is released.

Where can I find the kids carts?

Kids carts are by the West entrance, on the right from the parking lot! Their. handicap electric cars can be at either entrance, but usually by the East or left side entrance.

My closest Ralph's closed and became a Ranch 99 (sadness) so now this Ralph's is my go-to grocery store.

Sandwiches start at just $4.99 and they use Boar's Head meats, which already puts it above your typical grocery store sandwich. You can choose from their preset options or build your own. I went with a turkey sandwich on sourdough with all the add-ons, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. They'll even toast the bread for you, which makes a big difference. What really stood out is the value--you can load up your sandwich and still keep it under $10. They also have combo options where you can get a drink and a bag of chips for $5.99, making it an easy and affordable meal. Quick, convenient, and budget-friendly. Definitely a good spot if you're in the area and need a simple lunch.

See hilarious review below by Robert H!…read more I would like to add my 2 cents on the sandwich situation, which depending on the time of the day you hit up the deli, can be very dire. The older Hispanic ladies who make the sandwiches in the morning = amazing. Love them. They are warm, kind, quick, and attention-detailed. The sandwiches they make? Literally chef's kiss! Heaven on earth! Now onto the men who the make the sandwiches later in the day. Complete night and day. Watching them make sandwiches is like watching Down Syndrome people compete in the Special Olympics or the infants race in those baby crawl races. No directions, no focus, no sense of urgency. Think of the slothes working at the DMV from Zootopia. They talk to each other. They stare at the sandwich order print outs. They make the sandwiches haphazardly. And they still get the sandwiches wrong! How can you make sandwiches wrong when the pace has been so leisurely?? In conclusion, can Sprouts please please please, for the love of God (or the universe if you're an atheist), hire more ladies to work during the lunch times and evening times?!

This location is at The Shops on Lake Ave in Pasadena. Parking garage is conveniently nearby just next door. Staff was so friendly and nice especially the gentleman standing at the front greeting everyone who walked into the store. Thank you Sir! Outside patio area available for chilling and dining. Great inside space was bright and clean. Aisles were perfectly stocked and organized. Deli had so many freshly prepared hot and cold foods. I don't think I've ever seen so much pre-packaged foods. Food galore at first sight. My eyes widened by the section. It was like being in a food amusement park. It was really fun to peruse the aisles. So very cool! I couldn't choose with so many options in front of my eyes, but I did end up buying half a pound of Nolan Beet Salad, one container of chicken breast lemon herb, and one container of tumeric rice. One tiny gripe, the prices were outrageously high on certain food items... $20+ per lb. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and indulge a little on healthy clean foods. I was okay in spending over $26 on my small lunch meal. It probably won't be a regular thing though. Beet salad was delicious and light. Beets were very sweet... I'm getting one pound next time. Chicken was a bit dry... probably won't get again. Tumeric rice was pleasantly soft and tasty... worth getting again. My future visits would have to be longer so I can immersed myself in all of its organic-ness. I want to try their pre-packaged salmon plate, sushi, and of course, more sweet beets. I'm sure there are other foods I can indulge in. Yes, I'll be back despite of its pricey cost.
