At 1st I thought this was a great store especially when the manager goes on the PA saying he's Johnny Cash and they're about to close. I like that kind of humor unfortunately that all went out the window when I was checking out with the same manager. I had a grocery bag that I had already paid for but I forgot milk and came back in, and since I didn't have a receipt, he stole my food! Just because you had a bad day take it out on me and now I'm out there and back. Damn shame that a manager that supposed to keep his cool especially customers will let his personal bad day be taken out on a customer not just any customer but a combat veteran who shops at the store store daily! What right does he have taking my belongings without proof that I stole them so who is the real thief here? I will, of course, be here first thing in the morning to talk to his boss as well as call corporate as soon as there open And large, formal complaint, and demand my belongings back and possibly talk to my lawyer for discrimination and defamation of character because Johnny Cash had a bad day I want to be a bully! This place is a NIGHTMARE. Prices are the best around but everything else about it is just dumb. They recently started regulating the entry ways and exits, which should have been done from the beginning! So you enter from the neighborhood street off Chapman and then exit back onto Chapman. Hopefully people are actually following it now, but when I visited, they definitely weren't. Cars would still enter from Chapman because there are two fuel pumps and sometimes the front car will leave first, leaving an empty spot because the car behind isn't done yet. So now there's the conflict where the back car is done and now has to reverse or wait for the front car, who just cut a line, to finish. SUGGESTION TO THE OWNERS: If you truly want organization, barricade the current exit driveway. Switch the enter sign to the neighboring driveway so the line loops around the convenience store building, thus utilizing the big, unused, open space, and have people exit what is now the entrance. MUCH more organized since that's what they're going for now. They also have an employee sometimes in the day heckling people as they pump gas to sign up for their Mastercard. Efficient, but I would be sketched as hell to be approached as I'm pumping my gas. So, make sure you stay in your cars if you see someone going from pump to pump! read more

Life has been BUSY so I had to go grocery shopping LATE last night. The parking lot here can be kind of sketch sometimes so the Manager of the store walked out (as did other staff from time to time) and stood in the doorway to make sure customers were safe as we walked in and out. Also my points here REALLY add up and now they have gas which is even cheaper than Costco!!! As long as I live here this will always be my first choice for high quality protein and veggies! What a nice store! And the staff were friendly! I'd much rather go out of my way to shop here instead of shopping at the store closest to my house! I was very pleased with my visit at this location. I'm not a big fan of Ralphs though ... I think because of the bad experiences I've had at the store near my home. I made a quick trip to Ralph's on the way to work to buy lunches and snacks for the week. This store has an especially strong inventory for the size. I ended up finding a great sale on dried fruit and picked up frozen entrees. Self checkout was a breeze. There is always someone on hand to help at the self checkout to help when the register gets confused by moving things in the bagging area or to redeem coupons. Solid experience and excellent loyalty program with gas points and great customized free item coupons for the items you buy most. read more

This is a nice store that is well stocked. The couple of employees that we came across during our late night shopping excursion were friendly and helpful. Its a real shame that this Ralphs seems to be taking advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic. They are price gouging! I needed some coffee and the tub of coffee I chose was $14.99 compared to less than $10 at other stores. Also, they were charging $8 for a 6 pack of paper towels. I live in North Tustin and two Ralph's closed in the last five years near our home. Luckily, I can still drive to this location. The store is on the corner of Chapman and in the same parking lot as Marshalls. Plenty of parking. The store is also stocked, esp with the Fri and Sat special sales. $0.99 General Mills cereal - how can you beat that deal? They have plenty of open registers and self check out stations. The staff is so friendly. Someone is ALWAYS available to help and everyone is so friendly. I will always support Ralph's supermarket. The store is clean, freshly stocked, great savings, wide selection/variety and most importantly, great customer service. read more

The best thing about this store is they have self checkouts. So if that's your only criteria for picking a store, you're good. The selection is decent as well, with the exception of non-dairy creamer; there's a virtually nonexistent selection. Besides that, this is a location I'd typically avoid like the plague. Why? Because this is the kind of place you could catch the plague. It's kind of like if all the people you'd cross the street to avoid gathered in one place... They decided to come to this Ralphs. I would never come here without my Marine bf and even with him and pepper spray, I'd prefer to stay clear. The customer service isn't exactly warm and cuddly either. Don't bother with this place. It's a nightmare to get in and out of, and is not set up like Costco where there's a passing aisle in the middle. Also, the dude behind the register (pictured) was the SLOWEST possible money taker I've ever seen. I was literally waiting for 10 minutes while NEITHER of the customers in front of me were filling because they're too poor to have a credit or debit card and used cash. Like WTF!?! Really small Ralph's, but at the same time they do carry everything I need for weekly shopping. They do have a small deli, florist, and bakery inside. It's a little sketchy at night but the staff is friendly and it's convenient from home. The parking is tight but not usually an issue. I've been coming here regularly for the past 3 years because this is the closest supermarket to my house and I moved to Orange with a 6 month old baby. The staff has been CONSISTENTLY friendly, always very helpful and the prices are low compared to everywhere else. As to the available selection of merchandise: they may not always have everything I want but they damn sure have everything I need when I need it and I'm always greeted with genuine kindness and fairly priced products. I am so grateful for the many late nights I had a solid place to go and get formula, diapers, baby tylenol, coffee or whatever thing I needed at the last minute. JT and Isidro have been exceptionally awesome and helpful but I have been treated kindly and professionally since my very first visit. read more

Was very shocked that this location doesn't enforce masks for customers. So many people in the store without masks while the hospital 2 blocks away is at maximum capacity because of Covid. Writing this review for my elderly mom. She went in for senior hours, 6-7am. Basically got her keys stolen by the cashier on 8/5/21 7am. My mom is soft spoken and doesnt judge anyone, she a retired preschool teacher. My mom left her keys on Antonia Ds register. And that one minute it took my mom to get to the car, and realize she left them behind. She went back, and they were gone. Antonia D wasnt much help. These are senior hours, im guessing this must happen frequently, but for Antonia D, she did not care and just wanted to get the line moving. While my mother was basically left stranded. I was very pleased and happy with Antonia D my cashier. She went over the top making sure service was great and I was taken cared of for my WIC. (This low star rating is regarding the Manager) However, I was very dissatisfied with the Manager CURTIS! When Antonia asked him in front of me and many other customers regarding my validation for a Soy Milk package that came in 2 was ok since it's the same brand except the store has run out of single Soy Silk Milk he simply said "I don't know and there's another WIC store down the street". May I remind you that I'm a mother who has rushed to Ralph's early in the morning to grab what my baby needs for me to feed my baby and how unaccommodating this Manager was very unacceptable and quite frankly it was very rude. He simply walked away from everyone right after and didn't mind to see how to make the customers experience great here. Now being a HR Manager as a profession. I am not pleased with this occurrence. I urge you to retrain and have a meeting once again on such situations. This was such a disappointing experience and it made the cashier feel embarrassed the way it was handled right in front of everyone. But Antonia was very kind and wanted to make sure I was treated right and understood how important time was for a mother with a newborn finding time to get to the store. I've lived in orange 5 years and this is the closest grocery store to shop I came from Sherman Oaks where Ralph's are all over Nice clean stores with all kinds of product Here you get very little choice I understand the store is small. I usually shop on Sundays but can't at this store The aisles are small and they decide on that day they stock and can't down the aisles. Don't dare need anything where they are stocking they will tell you to wait till they are done I don't have all day to shop and I can't wait for them so I end up not getting it I learned to go a little further to Staters Brothers where it nice and clean and many more choices They don't have people stocking on every aisle so you can't get down them. If there is anything I need that is a Ralph's brand I like when I go to visit in Sherman Oaks I just pick it up there. Shame on Ralphs for allowing a store to be run so poorly Also whenever they have Pepsi bottles 6 pack on sale they never have Pepsi Zero or Mountain Dew Zero All they have is Pepsi regular and maybe a couple diet I have gone 6 days in a row and they never had any. Not a huge review here. This is a typical Ralphs. They did not have a bunch of clearance items or bad produce that I could see. The meat looked fine when I cruised by as well. However, the parking lot is absolutely atrocious! This parking lot on a small scale almost rivals The District for bad design and layout. Seriously, WTF were you thinking when this thing was designed... *SMH* its incomprehensible how much crack or coke this archetect must have been on when he designed this place. The grub that I purchased was tasty and store brand and worked well for the tailgate that I took it to. The staff was friendly and fairly helpful. I wish I could give this Ralph's a better rating...but it sucks. It never has all the items we need, and we aren't looking for unordinary things. This Ralph's is maybe a mile from where we live so we'd prefer to come here, but we drive 6 miles to the Ralph's near Tustin Marketplace because they always have everything we need. It's also much bigger. What made me decide to review this store was the proof of how poorly run it is. Management doesn't know where their products are. It was time to refill our Brita faucet filter and I asked an employee where the filters were. She didn't usually work at this store so she asked the manager. The manager said "if they have it, it would be in aisle 9". Well it wasn't in aisle 9, so we (Roo and I) decided to look down each aisle because we weren't convinced it wasn't stocked somewhere. I really like this Ralph's for a few different reasons. First of all, from the minute I walked through the door the workers were exceptionally nice. I was asked by at least 3 different workers if I needed any help with anything. Service gets 5 stars. I also think that things are reasonably priced. They always have good sales going on if you have a Ralph's card (which you get for free by just asking at checkout). The produce is also really good. I always get good apples, avocados, bananas, and vegetables here! Eggs I do think are a bit overpriced however. They have a great ice cream selection which is of upmost importance if we are being honest with ourselves. Overall I think this is a quick, convenient stop and clean! read more

I like this Ralphs. The soup section smells soooooo good!!! I've tried the baked potato soup and looooved it. Their soup section is much better than the one at Albertson's. Also, their bread is very good (the fresh loaves) I have made many a delicious sandwich using their bread. Gooood stuff. This store is closest to my place, so I am here like once a week. Also, the store carries my favorite candy in the whole world!!! Hariboro mega-roulette gummies. Soooo good! They are only on a little display towards the front of the store by the cash registers. I usually don't bother rating places on Yelp; however, this is my second interaction with the Deli department of this store and the attitude of the people that work there is uncalled for. There were 4 people just talking behind the counter and as soon as I walk up, they suddenly became "busy". One even made eye contact with me when she walked by and didn't have to even acknowledged me. One who seems to be orientations another one employee told to "hold on an minute" while he went into details on how to clean some sort of freezer. They seem bothered by costumers. First time I had that experience with therm, I gave them the benefit of doubt, now I know that's best for they can do. I am not sure what is their deal (unhappy with their jobs??) but the bad attitude does reflects in their interaction with customers. This deli department can definitely do better. read more

This is my neighborhood grocery store and I'm happy with it. Ralphs tends to be on the pricier side, but they have weekly deals that I take advantage of, which does a good job at lowering my monthly grocery bill. One of the deals had to do with buying 10 items and getting $0.50 off of each product. 1 of the products I got didn't end up being on that discount list, so it made it so the other 9 weren't discounted at all. I went to the manager and he quickly fixed the entire situation. We're only talking about $5 here, but it shows that they are really helpful. I don't think there's ever been anything that I couldn't find here, unless it's some of the natural products that can only be found at places like Mother's Market, but that's expected. I come here all the time, because it's close to my boyfriend's place. Pros: decent and cold beer aisle for a grocery store, Boar's Head deli, refrigerated drink section, most cashiers are super friendly and strike up some small talk, and it's newly remodeled. Cons: aforementioned remodeling caused certain items to now be stocked where they don't really belong, on a couple occasions there was fruit out that had gone bad, they don't have enough staff, so the cashiers often bag your groceries and slow down the line. The part that I dislike most is the druggies and people who claim they need change to catch the bus... Side note, I once gave a guy $2 to catch the bus, went home, realized I had forgotten to pick something up, and saw the same guy still asking others for their money. I've seen him there two or three more times since then. Once I spoke to a cop that was standing outside of Ralph's during the remodeling, and she told me that a couple dealers hang out there. I know I've seen at least one exchange go down with certainty. Even yet, there is one guy with shaggy hair that always wears the same trench coat that walks around the parking lot and just hangs out there. All this makes me a bit uncomfortable and detracts from my satisfaction with my overall shopping experience. read more

Tried to get some potato wedges from the hot food section, but to no avail. How did this happen? I got there and one of the employees were helping out a couple with their sandwich, and another one was just in the back doing whatever she was doing. So I'm standing in line behind a guy who also wants to order some food. Took the girl in the back a good 5 mins since I was standing there, to realize that she should help the guy in front of me. Who knows how long he stood there waiting. Anyway, you would think I should be helped next after the guy since I've been standing there for a good 10 mins now. So another lady comes up to the deli and wants some cold cut, and this employee goes and helps her right away... Uhm HELLO?? I've been standing here waiting for you, but you help her out the second she gets there?? Nope. I'm not dealing with this. I got my stuff and left the store as soon as I could. Used self checkout and didn't have to deal with another clueless employee. read more

Not impressed with the customer service. I realize it was morning, but they only had one of the product I was looking for. Asked an employee if they had any more in the back as it was a fresh product that is a staple product. She paged someone to that department. I waited about 5 minutes for someone to come into that department. When he finally came, it wasn't regarding the page. When I asked if he had anymore in the back, I was told it would be a while as he had to unload the stuff he had on the pallet in front of him. So much for customer service. read more
