I've been waiting forever to try this place and I didn't love it. I'd say the sauce is good but the chicken is just OK and the fries are just OK. For me Dave's hot chicken as far as superior , both the chicken and the fries, plus they give you pickles. That's just me

We showed up right before the rush and the food came super fast. They have the biggest chicken pieces I have gotten in a while and everything was super fresh.

The only thing you can get here are chicken fingers/tenders, then likely a drink and fries and/or texas toast.

Dave's is a lot like Raising Cane's, but with the ability to customize the spice level of the chicken. I opted for Dave's #3 ($13.99) so I could try both a slider and a solo tender. The pieces of chicken were very good. They had a nice exterior crisp covered in a flavorful heat, with a juicy, tender, pull apart inside. While I preferred the sandwich, it definitely could have used more slaw. As far as portions...for me, two sliders is likely too much, but I think I'd be unsatisfied with one, so the #3 was a good option. Similar to Cane's, the fries are crinkle cut. I prefer the dusting of seasoning on the Dave's fries, as I find Cane's to be overly salty. I do wish they had more options for sides...for instance, a nice refreshing cucumber salad, potato salad, cold bean salad, etc. would be great with that chicken. I happily dipped my extra tender and fries in the Dave's side sauce...no need for ketchup, though they do offer it. Interestingly, a new Raising Cane's is scheduled to open right around the corner from Dave's...bring on the chicken wars...I'm rooting for you Dave!

Very friendly staff speaks English!…read more Clean restaurant Nice signage, great branding and packaging. French fries are expensive. Nowhere does it say they are willing to swap out fries for side salad for an extra charge, but they will do it if you ask. Selling a bunch of strange things like stuffed animals and candles is not helping. Would love to see chicken breast, as they offer Leg, wing and tenders, but everyone knows breasts are the best. A little too much sauce on the fish sandwich, but otherwise very good. Hopefully, they will listen to some of these ideas, they are competing with the big boys up the street. Good luck!

We ordered the whole fried chicken and some nuggets with fries. The chicken is basically a whole chicken, the size of ones you'd find at Costco. In fact, thats how they described it to me when I asked...they themselves said Costco chicken. Chicken was very crispy and comes out piping hot! It does take about 20 minutes wait for it to cook. The nuggets were underwhelming and likely store bought and fried instore. Same with the fries. The prices were very reasonable. There are fountain drinks available. The place in side is huge and pretty bare. Too bad it is a tad out of the way from the Natick Mall. Plenty of free street parking available.

That killed it for me to buy more than one. After checking out Yelp photos and the online menu first upon arrival, I settled on the "New York Style" hot dog with small fry (3.50) and no drink. It came out to $15. It took a little while to get my order. I was there ordering with the cashier before some guy came after to order by kiosk which got his order first. My hotdog was loaded and tasted amazing. After finishing, I wish I had another because I wasn't full even after the fries. But I could never pay $20 for 2 hotdogs. Shop was clean and cute inside. Cashier was nice. A fairly new resident recommended the chicken bowl next time. The only other location is on the Natick Mall. They would be more busy if they come down $3-$4. Hope they aren't wasting their toppings with these prices.

I had the chicken bowl it was a somewhat small serving of chicken. I moved it from the bowl to cut it up. I ended up eating just the chicken, sour cream and beans. I asked for less rice but the bowl is mostly rice so I don't think they accommodated that request. Corn was dry. Lettuce is iceberg and minimal. If you like rice this would be a good choice.
