Recently, one of the pipes connected to our water softener in the garage suddenly burst late at night, around 11:00 PM. A large amount of water sprayed everywhere and flooded the garage floor. We contacted two other plumbing companies we found online, but unfortunately, neither of them responded. Thankfully, we found American Plumbing & Rooter. When we called, Rich answered the phone right away and was incredibly helpful. He quickly scheduled an appointment for us, and a plumber arrived at 8:30 the next morning to replace the damaged water softener. We were very impressed with how efficient, friendly, and professional they were. The plumber was patient and took the time to explain why the pipe had burst and gave us very helpful recommendations to prevent similar problems in the future. Their follow-up service was also outstanding. A few days later, Sunday night, we were surprised to discover that we had no hot water. We texted Rich to ask what might have happened, and he responded very quickly. He explained that when the water softener pipe burst, the large amount of water spraying out may have extinguished the pilot light on the nearby water heater. He then patiently walked us through the steps to check it. Sure enough, the pilot light was out, exactly as he had explained. He also guided us step by step on how to relight it, and we were able to get our hot water back. We are extremely happy with the service we received from American Plumbing & Rooter. I just had Scott with AZ Hydro Jet out at my house to hydro jet and camera my main line. First of…read moreall I called several plumbing companies and was quoted $900-$1500 for this service! When I found AZ Hydrojet on google offering the service for $300 I was a little suspicious that it was too good to be true. Scott called me back right away and discussed the issues I was experiencing with my plumbing (main line blockage) and what he would do to inspect it. He has a truck mounted system so it's the real deal, not just some guy with a cheap pressure washer spraying my lines. I had a blockage about 6 months ago and that plumber just snaked the lines to clear it, it worked for a short time and the problem came back. That company wanted to camera my lines for $450. When Scott said he will camera it for FREE with the hydro jet service I was sold. Scott came out the next morning (today) and cleared the clog right away. He discovered a tree root growing into my main line near the sewer, not great news but at least I have an answer and know what I need to do to fix the problem. He never tried to up sell me or pressure me to spend more money on additional services. In fact he doesn't even do replacement or repairs like that, he just finds the problem and clears the line. He used a sensor to detect the problem area and marked in the yard where I'll have to replace the pipe. I feel like he was very straight forward and honest with what was going on. Now I know where all the pipes run in my yard and that the ones under my house are in decent enough shape so I won't have to worry about them for some time. The pipes in the yard are another story but at least I know how to proceed and can get accurate quotes from plumbers on exactly what the problem is and where the lines are that need replacing. I told Scott I couldn't find much info on his company or reviews online and he said he's not a big web guy, most of his business is referrals and plumbers contracting him to do this type of work on their jobs. I told him I was going to do a review anyway because I was really happy with the work he performed and the price he did it for. Once he did that we knew we had blockages of grease so he hydro jetted the lines (some multiple times). Two years ago, 1UpPlumbing installed my SpringWell water filtration system, and it's been running…read moregreat ever since. However, while attempting to loosen the sediment filter housing attached to my stucco wall, the entire assembly came right off the wall. Turns out, the installer had not properly anchored the unit and only used masonry screws that only barely penetrated the stucco and with no anchors in place. Even though it was one month over the 2-year warranty period and the fact that 1UpPlumbing had since been bought out by Fast Layne Plumbing, yet still Teresa and Audrey at Fast Layne immediately dispatched a technician to my house, Greg, the same day!!! He arrived and verified the former installer had not bothered to anchor the screws into the wall nor to the studs beyond. Thus, he proceeded to effectuate repairs and this time used longer and proper wood screws to screw the housing into the framing studs on one side and used masonry anchors on the other side. Within an hour or so, the repair was completed and all is good... and no charge! They HONORED the expired warranty!!! I was amazed!!! Part of that, I'm sure, was the obvious fact that the installation had not been properly performed. But, still... they could have denied it for being past warranty by a month. I cannot thank Fast Layne Plumbing enough... and wish to especially thank Greg for the wonderful job he did as well as his great customer service and great attitude throughout. I also wish to thank both Teresa and Audrey for their wonderful service, too. Now I know I have a GREAT plumbing company on which I can rely for any future plumbing needs... and can't recommend them highly enough to everyone else!
