Pricey, but efficient. I found RSM after searching for a butcher to buy a filet for a beef wellington. Found the staff super knowledgeable and helpful. The location was super fun with lots of other shops in the same building. I will say the price was a bit steep but it was worth it!

Where do I start? I'm so jazzed to finally find a decent local butcher shop that loves meat and butchery, understands it and works with local farmers to preserve and maintain quality. The flavors from their 3 weeks dry aged ribeye was incredible. They also teach butchery classes, and built a wonderful local community around meat & butchery, including whole animal butchery, which I appreciate and support. Their prices are set accordingly, so expect high quality meat, perfectly cut and handled, in a tiny and friendly local shop. It can't get more Seattle than this. Highly recommend, also order ahead!

I love shopping with Rain Shadow and thought that since I'm always bragging about them to my friends, I may as well brag about them here. Nothing but quality here--the only concern you should have is if you have an adequate pan and the patience to cook the ginormous cut of meet you're going to be bringing home (to combat both issues, follow my guidance and remove the rib from the chop. This allowed me to fit it all in my favorite pan, and the rib provided a snack while I eagerly awaited my meal). Service is fast and to the point, and prices are comparable to the grocer for many products. Of course you're going to pay more if you're looking for the upper echelon cuts, but if you're someone who seeks to source their products responsibly without breaking the bank--they will always have something for you here, too. I walked out with a pound and a half of pork and a pound of Delmonico steak from Painted Hills Farms for around $30, and that's going to last me all week. Keep up the good work!

Delmonico from this place is an absolute treat. I have tried delmonico from other butchers... Just no!

Quality meats. I don't shop anywhere else for a good steak. And when the quality is this good, it's honestly better than most restaurants even just with a simple sous vide and cast iron!

Rain Shadow was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent customer service and nice selection of quality meats, housemade sausages, and more. Painted Hills Farms & Gleason Ranch Beef. You won't be disappointed

I had the sig reuben w/ potato salad. There was a ton of tender corned beef, and the grilled rye was a nice touch. I could only eat half at one sitting. My rellie had the pastrami dip, and it too had a ton of tender, nicely seasoned meat. She couldn't finish half, even tho I took a bite of hers. Regarding the ambiance, its an old skool, lunch counter style place. You order on a sheet, and pay when you pick up. Eli and his female co-worker were super friendly and nice. Eli said he'd make us the best sandwich in town, and he was not kidding. I would go out of my way to hit MHM bc the sandwiches are delicious, they cover two meals, and the service is friendly & warm. Its no wonder they've been in biz so long.

On my visit, I got the chance to try the Market House Grilled Reuben and the BBQ Brisket, which I thoroughly enjoyed. But, if I had to rate the two, the BBQ Brisket would be my number one. Both sandwiches were stacked with a lot of meat, however, I just really enjoyed the savory flavoring of the brisket. The Market House Grilled Reuben was a very strong competitor to the BBQ Brisket as I enjoyed the pairing of the cheese, dressing, and beef. Overall, I had a great first experience at Market House Meats.

I think the price is reasonable for the amount of food. I seen the review and its pricey but the meat and the cut was fantastic. I loved all the sides. I was the only one eating all the sides, fried rice and egg. I was so full. The drinks were great. We had a new server named Jalen and he did an amazing job for being new. He spoke to us for a few mins and super polite and pleasant. I have to say I would most definitely recommend this place. I would come back to seattle for this. The music they played was chill. If you go Sunday through Thursday, the servers often seem unhappy and, honestly, like they don't want to be there. They're also not very attentive. This place has always been my husband's and my favorite restaurant for celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. If a birthday falls on a weekday, we actually avoid coming here because we know the service won't be the same. The past two times we've visited, the service has been lacking significantly, and the quality of the meat just wasn't what we've come to expect. The poor service has honestly made us question whether the food is still worth the price.

I usually engage with someone at a restaurant snd ask for their advice or input when deciding what to order. Salumi is countertop screen or online order only. Staff are focused on making your sandwich and are available to answer questions, but the place gets very crowded and this won't always be possible. I love eggplant parmigiana and was delighted that the sandwich came with a (warm!) cup of marinara. The marinara was a generous portion, a tad spicy, and I soaked up every drop. The sandwich roll was good, average. The toppings were tasty, and sufficient. The eggplant itself was a bit disappointing. The breading was perfectly crispy and light, but the eggplant was sliced so thinly that it was almost an eggplant flavored chip instead of the customary meaty texture. The balance was just off, unfortunately.. Recommend ordering online because this place gets crowded during the lunch rush.

Their bagels are fabulous as is their lox. For those, like me, who can unhinge their jaw for an authentic pastrami or corned beef masterpiece. Go with the "Ding sized" sandwich. They'll make a smaller Seattle sized version as well for those who don't treat deli as an indulgence of rye and meat piled high. I wish they'd add kreplach to the menu (sorry Vance. I know my litany is old!) but I keep discovering new deliciousness here even after being a regular for nearly 4 years since my recovery from a life threatening illness, that I recovered from in part due to making regular stops here during my post surgical recovery. Just today I had the blintzes for the first time with their in house made cherry compote and sour cream. Amazing. Keep up the amazing work!!! My recommendation for newbies. Get the pastrami on marbled rye with gribenes and mustard. If you're feeling extra indulgent ask for a schmear of chopped liver, if you're keen on said. You won't regret it!

There was nothing "famous" about it. I tried the fresher corned beef sandwich my friend got and felt the fresh corned beef was quite good - hence the upgrade from 2 to 3 stars here. It's counter service, they bring the food (no numbers for tables makes this a bit of a trial and error) . Coffee is self serve and there is a sign saying refills are $2.75.... how un-American.
