NEVER PURCHASE ANY OF THE MEAT PRODUCT HERE!! I bought some pig ears two months before and left them in my refrigeratory for two days. I opened it on the third day, it already stinky. I thought that might be my bad that I didn't keep them on the freezer. However, I bought a package of pig ears again yesterday the 8/14/2018, and I put them in the freezer as soon as I back home, one day later when I opened it I found the ears already rotten and stinky. And I find out the packed date on the label is today! The 8/15/2018!

Produce (part of their selection). Much more around the corner from photo.

This store is awesome. They have a HUGE selection of veggies for Asian cooking. And fresh too! Lovely lookin' produce! I'm definitely coming here for the Asian veggies (vs. Uwaji's). I passed by their seafood section in the back. There were a few flies swarming, but not a lot...? There are some live seafood as well, some fishie swimming around. I didn't walk around past the seafood, but I'm guessing meat department? I don't know. They have some dry goods as well, but I'm most impressed with their produce.

Don't come here because their meat products spoiled. They hide the spoiled meat underneath a fresh piece of meat.

Don't come here because their meat products are spoiled. I just bought 2 pack for beef flank meat and they look decent from their package. Both packages have labels indicate they have been pack earlier today. When I open it then I realize that they put spoiled meat underneath the fresh piece. That's totally an unethical business practice. I would never come here again because its not okay to sell spoiled meat to public.

I would recommend getting a reservation, as the dining room is very small and intimate. Inside the dining room are a few small tables and a bar that can seat 4-5 people. The Beastro is an open-kitchen layout, and you can see the cooks work on each dish before it comes out. The menu is well-composed, with thoughtful appetizers that get you excited for the main courses. For main courses, my group got the London royale and porterhouse steaks. The London royale was delicious, it's served rare atop a delicious sauce with crisped baguette slices. The meat really melts in your mouth. The porterhouse was also very good, and they were able to cook both the filet & strip to perfection. If you're able to get a reservation the Beastro is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or go on a date night. The vibe is super intimate so the setting won't be loud or distracting.

You can see where we stood in the picture I posted of the shops' entrance. A group had been standing in the exact same spot just before us, so we didn't think we were in anyone's way. We also didn't realize this area was shared with the butcher shop because 1. we didn't see it 2. we are not Seattle locals and only came for Eggslut. My boyfriend's little brother briefly leaned back against the meat shop's display case, and the owner immediately snapped: "Do me a favor and get your butt off my case." His brother got off the case right away, but the owner continued to mutter "fucking rude". He stared us down and started shooing us away with his hands, literally saying "Get." like we were animals. We stepped aside, but he kept staring us down. I asked him, "What are you looking at? What do you want us to do?" He escalated things further and said: "Do you want me to come find your house?" Absolutely inexcusable to say to anyone, let alone a young woman. When my boyfriend said, "You could have been nice about it." He said, "I don't have to." This wasn't just a reminder about his equipment, it was the tone, the hostility, and the lack of basic respect. No one came into the building after us, so we were not obstructing anyone from going to his business. We were simply waiting for our food and were met with aggression from this man. He does not deserve any business after such a lack of basic decency.

Beware of this behavior when you step anywhere near his business, especially families and POC. Eggslut employees also mentioned that he is a "serious" person. We recently started going to one of their locations outside of Seattle whenever we were in the area. The service remains flawless. It's one of the few butcher shops that consistently deserves a tip but they are always a bit extra! This week, we did a perfect surf & turf : wagyu steak and Chilean sea bass - complete with accompaniments. The fish was flaky and the steak was perfectly seasoned, seared and medium rare. As I was setting up drinks, I was the last one at the table. The steaks were sitting there and everyone had stopped eating. When I asked how it was, I was told "Try it, tell us what you think". I sliced into the steak. It looked amazing. I bit in. BUT afte a chew, I stopped eating it. The beef was definitely 'off' andd spoiled - which explained why no one was eating it. Fortunately, it was surf & turf night so we still had enough to eat. But after paying wagyu prices and lovingly cooking the steak, the disappointment was beyond words. Obviously I will call the store as I want to make sure they pull the remaining inventory from theirr display. At this point, my husband is worried as he had three bites as he presumed the aftertaste was from the truffle sauce I had drizzled. Now, he's worried that he will get sick. I guess time will tell. So FYI --- make sure you check the original dates of the meat before they cut/vaccum seal. Long story short - I hope they read this and review their QA processs to ensure all meats are dated/rotated/stored.

Great, I ordered two 18-24 oz, 1.25 inch cuts to be picked up in 3 days on the next Friday. Upon opening the package of meat at home the printed label said T-Bone, which I did not order. Called them and was told to freeze them and bring the back the following Friday and they would have my 2 Porterhouse steaks ready for me. I had the handwritten order to show them for Porterhouse, and the T Bone label still attached to the butcher paper. First lady opens the package and sees Porterhouse wrote on a freezer bag, she says it says Porterhouse, I tell her I wrote that when I separated the steaks. Butcher comes over and asked me what my definition of a Porterhouse is, I showed him a pic on my phone of a real one. He says they don't have that. I say I was told you do when I placed my order. Younger lady comes over and says they can't take them back as they are frozen, I tell her that was what I was told to do, by them. In the end they took the steaks and gave me my money back. No were no we are sorry, no words at all, she just dropped the money in my hand and turned and walked away. Made me feel like they thought this was all my fault. Will never ever go back.
