When I walked up to the counter one employee was obviously done with her shift and heading for the door. She was the only employee visible. After gathering up a few things she departed and then made mention of the fact that I was standing there to staff that wasn't visible. I stood there a good 3 more minutes before anyone came to take my order, making it nearly 5 minutes from the time I reached the counter with no one else in front of me. After placing my order (I felt like an intrusion) I got my drink and sat while my Albuquerque Turkey was being made. I was the only customer in the restaurant. My sandwich came out in less than 10 minutes, which makes sense since I was the only person there. I saw a staff member exactly once more after I got my food, and that was to give someone a Cinnabon. I must have sat at the table for 15 to 20 minutes and at no time did anyone come out to clean up the several dirty tables or to address the nearly full trash. This wasn't, by any means, the best visit to a Schlotzsky's I've ever had and the service was lacking, but it was a quick stop on my way to somewhere else.

The picture doesn't do the sandwich justice because I crammed it in my bag before arriving at the office to eat it. The restaurant was clean. Kids would probably like to eat here. They have chips and cookies, too. Worth a stop.

Placed my order and saw the cashier gave me two cups and I only wanted one. She told Payton (the mgr) and he continues to put bread away and stock shelves while one other person was making our sandwiches. Clearly he was busy and I am in a rush traveling. I decided to let the one guy that just showed behind me go-ahead and I'll run to the bathroom and finish up once I come back. Now Payton is stocking the chips. It is pretty clear that these things are a priority over the customer. Then I decide I'll fill up my coke while I'm waiting for him to get around the counter to be able to take care of me. Finally he tells me we have to refund the transaction and rerun the card. Okay. We do the stuff and I get a new receipt. I get in the car and unwrap my sandwich as we drive away (it took a good 20 mins exiting from the freeway to get back to them, hitting all 5,348 stoplights red between the freeway and their store ~1 mil away). NO HOT PEPPERS. This is traumatic. The entire reason we didn't choose Five guys or Panera or Chic-fil-A is bc of these dang hot peppers that are so flipping good. WHAT A BUST. A couple suggestions: 1- if you have FOUR people working to every ONE customer and you can't make the sandwiches 100% accurate there is seriously something wrong 2- if the cashier is calling for your help as a manager or supervisor then stocking the shelves come second... get over to the register and help 3- it might be a good idea to have the cashier repeat orders so the guy getting ready to make the sandwich hears (and doesn't miss the hot peppers) and the customer can correct if she says 2 drinks and you only want one before you swipe your card HOWEVER! The bathroom had justtttt been mopped and seemed really clean. The entire store seemed bright and clean. The sandwich was yummy despite my beloved hot peppers were missing. I don't like the idea of micromanaging your food prep people in order to receive what you order but this spot seems like a must.

We walked in and there were a couple of families sitting and eating pizzas. The restaurant needs an update for sure. We looked at the menu for a minute and decided on the ham calzone and the steak calzone. We got small ones because we wanted dessert. The young man greeted us and helped us with sizing on the calzones. He also told us about the cinnamon sticks when my husband mentioned that he wanted dessert. We got our drinks, found a table, and waited for our calzones. They didn't take very long (about 7-8 minutes). First they brought our cinnamon sticks and frosting out on a pizza tray (which totally surprised us), then they brought out our calzones. The calzone was piping hot from the oven, so I had to grab plastic ware to be able to eat it. It was tasty - chock full of cheese, onions, peppers, and steak. The cinnamon sticks were good. Overall we enjoyed our food, and we hope that the atmosphere of the restaurant changes for the better.

Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the Bistro Burger; one with fries and one with the Bistro side salad. The burger was tender, juicy, and clearly the ground beef was mixed in the kitchen--so, there's attention to detail. Served with sautéed onion, raspberry preserves and pimento cheese with a delicious bun made for a really enjoyable experience. My fries were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside...perfectly fried. The salad was amazingly fresh with a variety of greens and the poppyseed vinaigrette was perfect along with fresh strawberries. Definitely A+ territory. Our small comments were that the onions would have played a more meaningful role if they were completely caramelized and the raspberry preserves was a bit sparse. The burger could have been elevated even further with a little stronger boost of the sweetness the preserves provide. But with that said, no complaints at all and only joy.
