Over the last 10 years, I've seen snow more times in Phoenix than I have a pizzeria offering pizza by the slice. Being a New Yorker, I know is nothing more clutch than to grab 2 slices and a cherry coke mid day for lunch . I was ecstatic when I heard Raffaele's, a family owned NY pizza joint was selling pizza by the slice. So I found myself at Rafaffaels that same day. Air deflated out of my interior balloon as the selection of slices was underwhelming- only cheese and pepperoni. No Sicilian? No margarita? No meatball available ? The pizza itself was decent, but I was really hoping for a crispy corner Sicilian. Overall- Not a bad pizzeria to grab a quick lunch.

The Best Sicilian Don't let this small, older restraunt, stop you from coming in and enjoying some of the best pizza in town, the staff at Raffaele's are all very friendly and the pizza is absolutely delicious. A true old school pizzeria that reminds me of being back in New York and grabbing a slice of pie and coke after school. I decided to try Raffaele's after reading so many positive Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. I am a hard judge of pizza, especially Sicilian pizza and all I have to say is Raffaele's Pizza has some of the best Sicilian Pizza around town. The sauce and dough are perfectly flavored, the crust is crispy, with just the right amount of toppings and cheese. I can't wait to go back for another slice or two. If you're in the area stop by, Raffaele's won't disappoint. Great customer service, wallet friendly prices, and delicious food. .

This pizza takes me back! Lunch specials are great. Delivery is a little steep but still one of the best places in the area.

Sarah and I had a wonderful dinner at CiBO tonight. The Salsiccia was the standout -- beautifully…read moreblistered crust, generous sausage, and exactly the kind of Neapolitan-style pie downtown Phoenix should be proud of. The arancini were a great way to start, and the Nutella e Banana with ice cream was the right call to close things out. But the night really belonged to our server, Jesus R. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm -- the kind of service that turns a good meal into one you actually want to write about. We'll be back, and we'll be asking for his section. Five stars.

The setting does a lot of the work: a large, charming garden with plenty of outdoor seating that gives the whole place a cozy, almost village feel. Inside, there's a small bar that's tough to get into, but it's really your only option if you're walking in without a reservation and don't want to wait an hour or more. The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. Even with the misstep, Cibo holds its place as one of the better all-around dining experiences downtown.

I just had one of the BEST pizza experiences!…read more The pizza... WOW. The crust is absolute perfection--crispy and crunchy on the outside, but still soft enough that every bite is easy and satisfying. But what really sets this place apart is their Mexican flavor fusion. Bold, vibrant toppings with just the right kick--fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and creative combinations that feel exciting and comforting at the same time. The customer service was next-level--Jesus and his staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they really care about making sure you have an amazing time, not just a quick meal. If you're looking for pizza that goes beyond the ordinary, this spot is a MUST. The menu had no prices listed, which felt like they were just picking numbers. I wasn't told that the toppings would cost extra, so I ended up paying about $20 per main item. The food itself tasted good--flavorful sauce and a decent-sized calzone--but not worth $20. The portion sizes didn't match the price at all. The restaurant was clean, service was quick, and the staff was polite, but communication was lacking. Overall, while the food was tasty, the value wasn't there, and I probably wouldn't return based on the price.

This is an embarrassment to anything Chicago or Wrigley related. Barely any beef and some nasty sausage patty, served with a bag of chips. This was not edible, so I just picked off the beef. The pizza was decent, but I can get better from Rosatti's. The worst part of the meal was the calzone. It was disgusting and barely warm. We all took small portions to taste and none found it edible. We left almost the entire order on the rack, aside from the pieces on our plates. Did the server care to ask? No, but more on that later. The small cheese with Ricotta was barely ok, but the ricotta was not as fresh as served at DeFalcos or Vero in East Valley. Service: AWFUL. We told the server that we want the large pizza to be our appetizer and then bring the rest of the food out. Nope. She brought everything out together. Refills? Had to try and finally get her attention. Never asked about our food. Didnt ask why the calzone was barely touched and we didn't want it to go either. Overall: Not coming back period.
