Edit: A couple of weeks ago, we noticed a small bubble had…read moreappeared, cracked, and a chip came out from the sink we had repaired by ReNew Refinishing. I contacted Alex on Friday 3/27 and he stated there was no warranty in effect, which I knew was likely. However, he said he would take care of us. He came out this morning, Monday 3/30, and repaired the bubble area, and even a blemish we caused. He did not charge us anything for the repair, even though he spent quite a bit of time on it. It is a rarity in this day and age when a service provider far exceeds your expectations. Most companies are looking for any reason to tell you it is not their problem. Not ReNew Refinishing. They take care of their customers even when it is not their responsibility. An amazing company!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had a 40 year old sink, very deep sink, in a laundry room that was in need of refinishing, not to mention a new faucet. The sink was a drop in sink in a tiled countertop. Serge arrived this morning, on time, and was very friendly and professional. I had attempted to turn off the angle stops, but the hot water valve seemed frozen. The handle wouldn't easily turn and I was afraid to put too much pressure on it for fear of creating and even bigger problem. So, I turned the water off, in order to remove the supply hoses to the faucet and remove the faucet. In discussing this with Serge, he stated that sometimes applying a little force will break the 'seal' and allow the valve to be closed. At that point, I felt I was probably going to have to call a plumber to replace the valve, so I had nothing to lose. He broke it free and the valve seated properly with no leaking. In my view, Serge saved me a tremendous amount of hassle, not to mention a lot of money. Now, as to the refinishing job done on our sink this picture says it all! The variations of 'color' in the picture are due to lighting and shadows resulting from the lighting. The sink is totally bright white! He did a fabulous job and we are extremely pleased with the result! ReNew's price was quite a bit lower than the other quote I received. Would definitely recommend them for any grout or caulking work and would definitely use them again when repairs are needed.

Then when I cleaned the jets, I was so grossed out that I never used the tub again. Beyond that, the surface was really unsightly, worn, and had little cracks all around the drain area. I had looked into replacing it with a new tub, but the way the tub was built in with a cultured marble surround it would have cost thousands, and I couldn't find anything to replace the surround that would match or coordinate with my shower. Based on reviews here, I called Art. What a great move! He gave me an estimate, scheduled the work, protected my bathroom with care, and did a wonderful job. He plugged the nasty jets and made them disappear! He took extreme care to get the new finish to blend with the other surfaces in the room to my satisfaction. He was careful to vent any fumes out of the house, which was important to us because my husband has respiratory issues. He kept me informed about what he was doing. Now my tub looks great and my guest bath is well on the way to becoming my personal spa retreat! Beyond his talent and professionalism, Art is just a really nice guy, very respectful, and pleasant. It's clear that he really cares about doing the best job.

He was able to thoroughly explain the process to us and not only be responsive but remember minor details. I was very pregnant when we moved and he reassured me on the chemical levels he used. He gave clear instructions on how to avoid the smells and how long we should not utilize areas that were refinished. We also received clear after instructions. Our bathrooms looked brand new! He also has warranty on his work, which is something unexpected but reassuring. When we had plumbers come by, even they complimented on the work because they saw the before and afters. I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

Our floor was torn up in a hallway/master bath & master bedroom due to a flood. We were looking for someone to pull up floor from the spare bedroom and use the pieces to patch the remaining parts that were damaged due to a flood. He arrived and talked through our options with us and got back to us in a reasonable time to schedule & get to work. We had a quote from another floor guy but we really liked Josh & his quote was great so we were in. The work itself took about a day a half and the patchwork was seamless. He was able to reuse many of the floor pieces to fix the main areas and we are now off to get the remaining bedroom carpeted. We woulda went with him for this as well but that was outside of his scope. Nevertheless the job was done below budget and quickly might I add. He also fixed a linen cabinet that had been removed due to the water damage. He was meticulous and thorough in cutting and replacing the baseboards as well. We cannot recommend him highly enough. I want to provide a detailed, objective account of our experience with Radix Flooring to help other homeowners protect themselves before signing a contract. While our initial experience with the sales team was outstanding, the actual execution, project management, and billing practices were a complete nightmare. The Sales Experience: The initial phase was wonderful. The sales team was incredibly responsive, visiting our home twice to show us samples and thoroughly answer our questions. A major selling point for us was their explicit, verbal promise that they do not subcontract their labor. Based on this trust, we put down a deposit. The Installation and Subcontracting Issues: The night before our project was scheduled to begin--after we had already fully cleared our home of furniture--Radix rescheduled. When an installation crew finally arrived, it was completely subcontracted out to a different company (directly contradicting the sales team's promise). The two installers were entirely uninformed; they didn't even know which rooms they were supposed to be flooring. They attempted to rush a two-day project into a single day, which resulted in severe quality issues. They arrived without proper materials (missing essential reducers) and installed bulky quarter-round moldings, despite the fact that I had explicitly stated in writing beforehand that we would not accept quarter-rounds. Project Management and Refusal to Correct Work: When I brought these issues to their attention, the sales agent promised everything would be corrected. However, the Project Manager completely refused to honor those promises. Radix ultimately walked away from the incomplete and incorrect work, forcing us to hire and pay a secondary flooring company out of pocket to fix their mistakes. Billing, Accounting Errors, and Lien Threats: Once Radix decided they would not fix the work, they sent a final invoice and immediately threatened to place a lien on our home if it wasn't paid in 48 hours. We paid them promptly using the exact same method we used for our deposit. Shockingly, the Project Manager claimed they never received it. We were subjected to continued, threats of a property lien while being forced to compile bank records to prove the payment had already cleared on our end. Property Damage Warning to Future Clients: If you choose to hire Radix, you must take high-resolution photos of your entire home before they arrive. The crew caused hundreds of dollars in property damage. When we confronted them, Radix demanded we "prove" the areas were flawless before they arrived. Because we didn't have the foresight to take photos of our doors, appliances, tile, walls and trim, we are out-of-pocket for those repairs as well. Conclusion: We are now spending our personal time preparing a case for small claims court to recover the money it cost to fix their work. This company caused us countless sleepless nights and hours of stress. The polished front-end sales team does not reflect the aggressive, substandard reality of their project management and billing departments. Look elsewhere read more

I had a really great experience working with Radix Flooring, and I especially want to call out Denis Dubinsky. From start to finish he was super friendly, professional, and just easy to work with. I don't know much about flooring at all, so I had a ton of questions, but Denis was really patient and explained everything clearly. He walked me through the options, helped me stay within my budget, and made sure I was confident with my choice. When we found out the flooring I originally wanted was out of stock, he immediately helped me find a great alternative that I ended up being really happy with. He was also very flexible with my schedule and quick to respond whenever I reached out. His installation crew was just as impressive. They showed up on time, worked quickly, and were very professional. I wasn't able to move all of my furniture out, but they carefully worked around everything, making sure it was protected and sealed off from dust while they removed the old tile. He was cordial and professional. He came out to our house in Roseville and took accurate measurements and provided us with a free estimate that was detailed and reasonable. The crew, Tim and Valeri worked hard, kept the work area clean, and communicated clearly every step of the way. We just had 1,791.72 square feet of waterproof vinyl planks installed in our home. We received a good price. Felix, the Radix Service Rep measured and came to our home each day during installation (which was difficult due to uneven concrete slab). He took an active interest in our project. He was present at key moments to ensure everything was completed correctly and to our satisfaction. The crew was professional, punctual, and thorough. They cleaned up at the end of each day, protected our walls and furniture from damage, and the work required no re-do or correction. When one board became slightly loose a few days later, Samvel personally came back and fixed it promptly. We are very happy with the results and continue to enjoy our new floors. They provided our personal information to the installer we found. The Floor Store salesman is either petty or is ignorant of law.

We were impressed with Flavia's knowledge and professionalism when she came to review the project for the estimate. She asked questions to understand our needs and wants. She patiently listened and answers our questions. During the installation, Flavia came out a few times to ensure everything was going well. She also helped find just the right transition pieces to work with the existing flooring outside the baths. The installation was a two day process. It went very smoothly and was handled in a way that caused the least amount of disruption for us. Our installer was skilled and did a great job not only with the tile, but with new baseboard and a new toilet installation in one of the baths. He was great to work with. Flavia came out one last time after the installation to ensure everything was good and that we were happy with the result. Pro Floors' cost estimate was in the middle of the three estimates we received. But, our choice was based more on our experience during the initial visit than anything else. We were not disappointed. When I called they were immediately able to look up the type of floor based on the address and helped me order some additional flooring. They submitted the order and called me within a few days to say that it had arrived at their warehouse.
