Initial impression was that they were very slow to respond to out initial inquiries about replacing our current flooring. We did make a trip out to their service center and had a good discussion about selecting the best products. We set up a time for an estimate and their representative showed up on time and made measurements rather quickly. During the process I started to note that he was suggesting multiple upgrades and additions. Near the end of the conversation I started to talk budget (25K) and he laughed at the notion. He clearly immediately lost interest in our project and said he would send out an estimate soon. We never heard from him again. We did get beautiful engineered hardwood installed two weeks later within our budget by another store. The short version: they will try to upsale you aggressively and if you aren't a "big enough" project they will ghost you and waste your time. read more

This job was done back in September of 2024, and we have not done a review of it yet because we wanted to see how well the new flooring held up. Well, suffice to say we were immediately impressed. The tile work was very high quality. The carpet was beautiful, nice and soft, with no loose, bulging, or otherwise sub-par installation. All of the work was done with alacrity, and the workers represented well their employer. One of the supervisors had a bit of an attitude problem, though, and that is why we cannot give a full five stars for the job done. I have some flooring damage from a leaky window. With the leak now fixed, I called to ask for a quote to have new wood floor boards installed to replace the ones that were damaged. I was told my project was too small and I was turned away without a quote. With this being our first time remodeling our floors, we spoke to, interviewed, and received quotes from several companies. A few contractors actually came out to our house, a couple contractors gave us an estimate over the phone based upon the footage. What first attracted me to 916 Floors was the fact that they had an actual store to walk into and see the different type of floorings. This was good for us because we really did not know exactly what color and what kind of flooring we wanted. We spoke to some contractors that said we could go pick out our own flooring at different stores and get their contractors discount. Or another company showed up with a huge booklet of flooring types. It was overwhelming. What I liked about 916 Floors is that, if you want, they are a one stop shop. Customer service was personable and professional from walking into their store, to the guys who showed up to do the work. They were very considerate of our needs and making sure that this project went super smooth. Which it did. Not only was the service great. The quality of work was excellent too. Any concern I had, they already had a solution or an idea on how to make it perfect. And as far as the time, they came in, knocked out our floors and put in new floors in minimal days. It was fast! But to be honest, in this housing market, the house we bought really ate into our renovation budget and we were looking for budget flooring, and 916 doesn't really offer much when it comes to the kind of prices a lot of people can truly afford. Again, if money isn't an issue, this is the place to go to. There are so many luxury options from beautiful ceramic tiles, to just top-notch hardwood floors to luxury vinyl, it is only if you are looking for more budget-friendly options that you are very limited, so unfortunately we were not able to give them our business. read more

We wanted to get rid of our carpet and tile in our small house 1496 sq ft and decided on luxury vinyl. We are in Roseville and went to all the normal places and compared prices. Not only were they the most affordable but they also had some products that the other stores didn't carry which we liked. They were pleasant to deal with. We had the worst stained carpet after moving into our house. Prior to working with 916 Floors, we shopped around for different luxury vinyl products and found that their selection checked off a lot of our box's in terms of highly rated companies. In addition, their selection of colors was outstanding. So to sum it up, we are able to bring home free samples with a measurement date all in one visit. Which was a couple days out - pretty good stuff. The measurement went well and we talked about expectations, product availability, and scheduling. Our product was available and came to the store within a couple of days. Due to the small square footage, 916 Floors was able to schedule and complete the installation within two weeks of our initial visit to the store. Virtually unheard of these days and within the industry. On average, your looking at about a minimum of one month. Installation went great. However, they identified sections of concrete floor that weren't level and decided to take the time to level those areas by sanding and applying a sealant to minor cracks in our first floor. Which is not necessary and trust me, they could have just floated the new product on there and left within a couple hours. Instead, the took the entire afternoon to ensure the surface area was level and came back the next day. Often times, contractors will charge you an exorbitant labor hourly cost for things that weren't foreseen in the original bid. But this cost with 916 Floors was way below my expectation. You just expect the worst and it didn't happen with this company. So basically, 916 Floors provided us excellent communication on expectations and was able to fit us in to their schedule with an early installation. I appreciate their business greatly. read more

After close to twenty years we decided to finally upgrade the 1' x 1' white tiles in our downstairs. We went to a number of floor showrooms and choose three groups to do bids. All had their issues with our existing flooring. One recommended to rip out everything to the subfloor because it would be 'better in the long-run.' Another said anything we wanted to do, they could help. In our neighborhood was a house that was going through extensive remodeling and a 916 floors Van was in front for a couple of days. This prompted my wife to look online to see what she could find about this flooring company since we were not aware of them. We went to the showroom and were greeted promptly and directed to some choices that went along with our idea of what we wanted. Khrystyna was very knowledgeable about brands, materials, and more important warranty and ease of installation. We learned that 916 Floors had three separate companies: demo, sales, and installation. Each had specific expertise. We set up a time for 916 Floor to come measure to provide a bid. Both Khrystyna and Paul came to the house and explained the many things that required high-quality installers because our project was not 'an easy job!' The last thing that Paul told me was no doubt their price might be higher but this was because of the level of detail that his team would provide if they got the project. Paul was correct: 916 Floors was more expensive but we chose them to redo our flooring and we could not have been happier! When the install group came to start the job, everything was handled by an amazing crew. Each day everything was cleaned up and reset for the next day. Every segment of the project was handled with professionalism and explained if asked. One of the toilets was cracked when being re-seated and Paul told us he would replace with a high-quality unit and he did. So many little things that were part of our flooring was attacked and handled with a great install team. In the long run, our house has been brought into the present and beyond due to the amazing team that 916 Floors has. We had a flood in our kitchen that bled into the dining room, living room and office - all with wood floors. I had other bids and then Paul came out. He was not only able to do our floors at a better price, we didn't have to have a second contractor to add floor plugs, where no other floor contractor could do that for us. It was going to be a 10 work day job. They moved all my furniture out and back in again. They came on a Monday morning, I gave them the key to my house, and I left for 10 days. They did a fabulous job and I'd use them again. They are easy to work with. Honest about the assessments of possible problems, they kept in contact with me and the end of the job was as easy and pleasant as the beginning. Many contractors start strong but end weak. we wanted to match our existing downstairs hardwood floor as much as possible on our second floor and also switch out our staircase carpeting with hardwood steps and white risers. We found the closest match possible with the help of Olga who showed us the many samples the showroom has on display. Paul came to the house, took measurements, explained the process and we had the estimate within a couple of days. I felt the price was very competitive and we scheduled an install date. From the first day until the last day of installation the team that showed up worked from the moment they arrived until they left in the afternoon. If they said they would be there by 8:00, they were there at 7:59. The quality of the work was second to none. There were a lot of custom angle cuts that needed to be done on the staircase and the fit and finish was truly amazing. I agree with other reviewers regarding communication being excellent. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the end result and we will be doing additional business with 916 floors in the future. Pavlo and his team did a fantastic job installing over 800sq ft of laminate flooring in our home in the study, stairs, and loft. They removed our carpet, underlay, baseboards, and then had to grind the subfloor to level it (even though the house is only 5 years old). A lot of dust was generated with this process which went on to the plantation shutters. I had to request they send a cleaner back after the install to remove the excess dust. Then they installed the underlay, and laminate floor which floats. The joints are very clean, and they reinstalled the baseboards. They did touch up the screw holes with paint which I supplied (you need to negotiate this upfront when you get your quote). I have nothing but good things to say about the install. I just wish their workers wore PPE masks. I wore a mask each time I had to speak to any of them and kept my distance. With COVID-19 cases increasing, all contractors should require their staff to wear masks. I am taking off one star for not wearing masks and not removing the dust generated post-install. They did have someone come out to use a Bona mop to remove the dust from the floor, but we had to dust the shutters ourselves. They should add the cleaning to their checklist prior to leaving. 4/5 stars. I would use them again but would request masks and they cleanup post-install. read more
