Cute little spot in town for some cheap burgers and food. Although they were busy, food came out in less than 10 mins after ordering.

Saw the rave reviews and decided to come here. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The interior is small, rather intimate and obviously family friendly, I saw kids. I wasn't drinking alcohol on this day, so I was rather baffled that they didn't have tea or Kombucha, no big deal I settled for water. The cheese curds are extremely good, however, my first batch came out with hair. Why can't people just wear hair nets to kill all of this madness. Great job Liv for accepting the blame, but it was inside of curd. Didn't care for the Mac & cheese hushpuppies. Anyhow, hubby order his burger medium well, I ordered mine well, that got mixed up. So I ate a medium well keto burger with the portobello bun, it didn't have a lot of flavor and since his meat wasn't the way he wanted he didn't care much for his either. Also ordered the parmesan roasted broccoli. Roasted and burned are two different things, after the order was corrected it was good. All in all the experience was okay. This place is absolutely amazing. The redenbacher burger has this delicious mac & cheese on it with a perfectly crispy onion ring. The cheese curds were so yummy and the sauce was the perfect consistency, not too runny or too thick. The service was great for noon on a Friday. Their french fries are amazingly good I think they are handmade but they are like almost curly but not quite curly and they're nice and thick too. I wish I would've taken a picture of them. I got the macaroni and cheese last time I went there and I would say that it was just so so. A lot of people order it but I just got it plain and I should've gotten it with some type of protein on top because it really did taste like macaroni and cheese that you would get for a kid. Well our plans for the night changed for the better, not only was the Bloody Mary amazing but we decided to eat there for dinner and we were so amazed and satisfied! The food was on point with flavor and texture as well as color and presentation. The vibe in the restaurant was awesome!! I had a Radious Burger with a fried egg, no bacon no tomato and a side of broccoli my wife had a Black and Bleu Burger with a Portabella Mushroom!! Small place and it seems to be popular (as all burger places seem to be in Valpo - it's apparently the only thing people want to eat - not sure why) but this leads to limited seating and you often feel squeezed in. read more

My wife and I went here after hearing great reviews about it, but we weren't extremely impressed. Service was fine; nothing to complain or rave about. I ordered the Redenbacher burger, because mac and cheese + onion rings + burger sounded amazing, and it was pretty good. I enjoyed it, and would certainly eat another. My wife ordered the Elvis Peanut Butter Pretzel. She likes slightly more unconventional food combinations like that, so it seemed perfect for her. Unfortunately, the sandwich tasted like a plain burger slathered in peanut butter. None of the other ingredients really contributed enough. If we wanted to order some Peter Pan on beef, I would have ridden to Neverland on a cow. Another one of the many great options in downtown Valpo. Plenty of seating which is great because it is popular. I had the Waldorf Goat Cheese Salad. 06-15-19 came back out for a date with my bride to be, after having an amazing experience with our last visit, we were certainly hoping for an encore. Knowing that we were arriving late 9:00pm we were expecting to be turned around. It was awesome to know we could still get an order in. I ordered the margarita chicken & bacon sandwich. Marinated chicken applewood bacon, roasted peppers lettuce tomato on a brioche bun...just water today as my drink of choice. This sandwich was very good a little heavy on the mayo but I wiped the extra off. It was tasty filling didn't taste like it thawed during the cooking process. Should have got a picture of my food! But was dining with someone I don't usually eat with and didn't want to look weird This was my first time dining at Radius and I was not disappointed! For a early Monday it was decently busy but not enough so that we had to wait to be seated! We would have sat outside but the forecast was calling for rain and we didn't want to chance it. But the inside was awesome love the exposed brick in places and how like most Valpo restaurants I've been too it doesn't look like every other restaurant! It had character! I ended up getting the Radius burger since the special was $2 off any burger! It was huge so I only was able to eat half especially after splitting the southwest chicken rolls for an appetizer! Both foods were awesome I could probably make a meal out of the chicken rolls! I definitely will be back to try some more of their food and maybe try the outdoor seating! The inside I think had weird acoustics because sometimes it would seem weirdly loud but nothing that would deter me from eating there! read more

I flew in to Valpo with a friend, so we did not get to sample the bar selections, but we were impressed with what we saw and experienced. We like Meditrina, but they are only doing curbside pick up for the duration of Covid. We also like Blue Point, but they didn't open until three, and we came for lunch. Siri suggested Radius, and since I was almost standing in front of it, we stepped in. The service was excellent. I had the crispy Bang Bang shrimp taco, and it couldn't have been better. The couple seated next to us was celebrating their anniversary, and we envied their dessert of brownies and ice cream in a tantalizing arrangement. I didn't used to think of Valpo as a dining destination, but it's worth flying in to Porter County Airport and borrowing the crew-car. Shame on RADIUS-Valpo! My sis and I haven't seen each other in months so we decided to go to a late lunch today. We waited inside for a table to become available outside and then went out to enjoy the day and where it is quiet so we could catch up. After a few minutes 2 older ladies next to us were told they had to leave after 60 minutes because they have a time limit there. I asked our server and she was like weird- I won't make you guys leave. So we ordered, had a few rounds of drinks plus I ordered take away for Cam and Ash. I spent almost $200 dollars there. Here comes some chick and she says we have to leave because we were there over 90 minutes. (not 60 like the other ladies were told) I said I would order more food- she left and out comes the manager. She tells me she isn't trying to pick a fight- we can't order more food and we have to leave because other people are waiting to sit outside. There were empty tables outside (3) and 7 empty table inside. (yes, I went in and counted on my way to the restroom) The family next to us had just sat down and heard the girl tell us we had to leave and they left without ordering because of it. I have eaten at a bazillion restaurants all over this Earth- literally- and have NEVER been treated like that. It is not disclosed prior to you ordering - if it would have been I would never have stayed. We were there to visit, eat and drink. I have been to places that outside seating was taken and had to sit inside- its not that serious- usually first come first served. Needless to say, I will NEVER eat there again. My server was amazing, the food and drinks were fine but that "rule" is absurd. I will spend my hard- earned money elsewhere. UPDATE: I did get a facebook message from the owner. He did apologize and offered a gift card which I declined. I appreciate that he took the time to reach out. They do, in fact, have a "rule" that limits diners to 90 minutes outside on the weekends and during times that they deem "busy". It is supposed to be disclosed by the hostess before you are seated. It is not relaxing to know that you have a time limit and when the clock runs out some 20 something hostess makes a scene by telling you you have to leave. Nope- plenty of places that do not do this- I rush all week adulting- I will not feel rushed and unappreciated at any establishment. note- we ate and drank the whole time we were there- 3 rounds of drinks, appetizer and dinner- $154 plus 20% tip. read more
