I got there 20 minutes after they opened and was the second person in line, 10 minutes later the line was almost out the door. This area in general is so woody and whimsical with a lot of different paths, antique stores and bookstores. The café itself is connected to an antique store and the seating is all refurbished antiques. The ambience and whimsy that this café brings gives me so much joy! The coffee and the donuts that they had were absolutely incredible. I had a hot tiramisu latte and I ended up getting six donuts for a Mother's Day celebration. The donuts were fluffy, steamy and freshly made. I usually am not a cooked fruit person, but the way that they incorporated the fruits in all of these pastries was absolutely divine. The coffee had the perfect balance of sweetness to the boldness of espresso. And with your drink sweet treats, you can take a walk around the little town and enjoy the weather and the scenery. 10/10 experience. I will be back here again to try their savory options and some other pastries!

It feels like a Czech Grandma's living room. Very welcoming and cozy. Lots of things hung up on the walls to look at. There was quite a line when we arrived. I felt bad, there was only one girl working and it seemed pretty steadily busy for the couple hours we hung around the area. I ordered a vanilla iced coffee with oat milk. They go super light on the milk. It was nothing super special. My cousin ordered the same coffee, and also some of the baked goods. The whipped cream donut was incredible. So were the filled donuts. Not boring, lots of filling, not dry. My uncle tried the Vietnamese coffee, he said it was okay. I really wish they had more food options. Im moving out of state soon, and have been curating a list of places I wanted to try before leaving. This spot was #1 on my list.

I ordered an egg sandwich, coffee and of course a pastry. All were very good ( especially the pastry) I did end up parking a block away and don't know if parking was available any closer. The shop is located on a corner on a very narrow street. But may be available around the corner.

I ordered an Iced Banana Matcha, once the gentleman upfront, who I believe is the owner made it for me handed it over I noticed how milky it was. So I asked him if he could add a bit more matcha. He looked at me then questioned why I would even want more matcha to it. So I mentioned how I ordered one this past weekend and how it was much darker green. He replied with, "Well that defeats the purpose of it being matcha because that's not how I make it and I don't know why she made it like that for you." Once he finished talking I just asked for my money back, I couldn't believe it was that much of bother to serve me a drink with my preferred way of having it. I ended up leaving really disappointed and uncomfortable. He was adamant of knowing "which girl (employee)," it was that made me the matcha over the weekend.

Everything had very good flavor. My least favorite was the eggplant only because of the consistency. Personal taste of course considering I'm a meat eater. Was looking for a little bit more crunch or firmness on the outside. It was more like a soft cake if that makes sense. The cauli pesto was delicious. Fresh and pesto was just right. The salad was plentiful with a very nice dressing. The olives added the saltiness needed. The vegan feta tasted like Feta! Impressed. The vegan whipped feta was #1! The caramelized dates paired so well with the feta. Overall I was impressed and have to say I would recommend if you are vegetarian, vegan or not! Can't beat fresh and local ingredients in my mind.

I went in and sat at one of several stools at the counter. The inside felt like you were walking into someone's house and sitting on their porch. A couple of locals filed in after a short while, mostly tradesman and a local fireman. Their kitchen is slightly visible behind the counter. The ladies taking care of me kept my coffee topped off (good diner roast, nothing bad) and explained that the highlighted menu items could be ordered as a half portion. Their menu features a dozen or so omelettes, a half dozen breakfast grinders on a long roll, waffles/pancakes/french toast, S.O.S, biscuits and sausage, country fried steak and eggs, a few styles of eggs benedict, 1/2/3 egg platters, breakfast sandwiches and kids meals. (also oatmeal, cereal, bagel, muffins, grits) Just a standard 2 eggs with home fries, rye toast $5.25 and a side of bacon $5.50 was what I was after. My grub came out pretty quickly since they weren't too busy. The eggs were good, a nice portion of bacon accompanied it and the home fries were ok. The rye toast was a bit bland. I looked around and saw plenty of empty tables behind me. With a bit of cleaning and updating, the OCC could join a handful of great local breakfast spots. Based on past reviews and not knowing the inside politics of the place I can't say I had a bad experience. Wawa opened down the road and I heard it put a hurting on the local spots along State Road. That's a rough hill to climb. I'll give 'em a 3.5 and would return if in the area. It's tough being a small business owner and busting your a&% while watching the constant flow at the Wawa down the street. My tab was $15 plus tip, which is just above what the local competition would be for the same portion. No one was rude or out of line on my visit, but some TLC on the inside wouldn't hurt! Thanks guys!

It is with heavy heart and deepest regret to write this as OCC is a mom and pop family run diner…read morethat has been a staple in the neighborhood for years. Run by the owners, a husband and wife team. They never quite recovered after the pandemic. While the same unique specials adorn the whiteboard board, it is clear the passion that once drove them has long since fizzled. Time, inflation and a general sense of IDGAF attitude has overtaken the once bubbly and engaging duo who seem to be shackled to a business they no longer love. The place is in need of a thorough cleaning as crumbs cakes in the booth seats and splatters of food dance along the walls. The once sparkling windows now smudged with fingerprints and the corners and perimeters of the floors have noticeably been ignored when and if mopped. The waitstaff has a high turnover rate as every time we have come back new faces are taking orders. Our service yesterday was odd as he had almost his whole meal finished before mine arrived at the table. My sandwich that was once my favorite and our only reason for stopping back from time to time was missing a major ingredient, leaving it dry, incohesive and disappointing. This once three deep wait line on weekends OCC had only a handful of tables occupied at 9:30am on a Saturday. The quality has significantly dropped and understandably it is difficult to run a business in this climate but ultimately when I paying over 30 bucks for breakfast sandwich and beverage there are plenty of other places around who are working hard to keep their regular customers.
