No pork products but the turkey sausage was just as satisfying and 4 long links in a side serving. I chose the garden skillet and swapped the over easy eggs for scrambled. He went for the Shakshuka. Both were not just served but presented beautifully on wooden boards. We had to try the Syrniki and were delighted. You aren't going to find over the top portions here, but the meals are satisfying and prepared with fresh quality ingredients. The berries on the Syrniki were huge, juicy and tasty. Flourish is not your daily breakfast spot but definitely one we recommend and will revisit on occasion.

When we went back inside to toss our trash away, the counterperson asked how everything was, we did not want to complain any further, so we did not mention the meal. He did mention that the coffee was still not hot. She offered my husband a free cup of coffee, to go, which was appreciated. I am chalking all this up to just a bad day in the kitchen, coupled with the end of the week, because this was not how I remembered our first visit to Meadowlark. I truly wanted to have a good time today with a good meal and beautiful weather. Despite their best efforts, they fell short. Their menu features a dozen or so omelettes, a half dozen breakfast grinders on a long roll, waffles/pancakes/french toast, S.O.S, biscuits and sausage, country fried steak and eggs, a few styles of eggs benedict, 1/2/3 egg platters, breakfast sandwiches and kids meals. (also oatmeal, cereal, bagel, muffins, grits) Just a standard 2 eggs with home fries, rye toast $5.25 and a side of bacon $5.50 was what I was after. My grub came out pretty quickly since they weren't too busy. The eggs were good, a nice portion of bacon accompanied it and the home fries were ok. The rye toast was a bit bland. I looked around and saw plenty of empty tables behind me. With a bit of cleaning and updating, the OCC could join a handful of great local breakfast spots. Based on past reviews and not knowing the inside politics of the place I can't say I had a bad experience. Wawa opened down the road and I heard it put a hurting on the local spots along State Road. That's a rough hill to climb. I'll give 'em a 3.5 and would return if in the area. It's tough being a small business owner and busting your a&% while watching the constant flow at the Wawa down the street. My tab was $15 plus tip, which is just above what the local competition would be for the same portion. No one was rude or out of line on my visit, but some TLC on the inside wouldn't hurt! Located within the Waterside community off of State Road in Bensalem. It is popular with the residents there. Open for breakfast and lunch they offer varied daily specials in addition to a pretty packed menu. Waterside may look like it's part of the Waterside community but it is open to the general public. Parking can be a struggle sometimes and it is very noisy but turns out a consistent breakfast.
