The folks who called out the teenagers who are getting their first experience working can all get bent. You weren't perfect when you had your first job. Don't forget people like you willingly locked kids in their homes during covid. It's no wonder some of them struggle with social skills and working under pressure. I was a fan of the seeded roll which was super fresh. The cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the fries really well. They were super crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The beef wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tender and cooked well. All-in-all a good sandwich. The gals up front were attentive and friendly. They took my order quickly. Hats off to the kitchen for getting my food out promptly among the online orders. The place was pretty clean and had a ton of Philly Sports pics on the wall. The music on the radio was some throwback stuff - thank God it wasn't any of that mumble rap shit most kids play these days. Johnny's has a bunch of lunch specials that look worthwhile and a decent value. Locally owned spot worth giving your business to. The inside is on the darker side with brick floors and just a few windows at the front letting in some natural light. They have framed pictures hanging on the walls just about everywhere. The counter with stools was a bit tight, but a great spot to sit down and grab a bite. On my latest visit, I sat at a tiny table for two which was fine for flying solo. The booths and tables look much roomier. Food wise I stuck to simple two egg breakfasts. Sunny side up and scrambled with potatoes and I tried the hot sausage which was ground with hot pepper flakes and oil. It was a big portion with the sausage and came to about $14 and change. The eggs, toast and potatoes with no meat was a couple dollars less. Breakfasts included coffee which was a simple diner roast. The staff was friendly and kept stopping over to check on me and keep my coffee topped off. My omelette was basic and unseasoned, while my home fries were extremely salty and seemed to be from a can. The toast itself was fine, but was slathered in vegetable spread (not butter). My fiancee wanted to order something simple, going for chocolate chip pancakes and pork roll. The pancakes were serviceable, but she disappointingly received bacon rather than the pork roll. Finally, our check out service was nonexistent. It's cash only, as other's mentioned, but once we flagged down an employee she let us know the ATM wasn't working. In conclusion, the Radcliffe Cafe was a pathetic dining experience.
