They said the ONT needed to be replaced and that they would ship one out to me that day and that I should expect it the next day. I asked if I could pick it up, or any other option to not be down for a day and they said there wasn't. They shipped the ONT UPS Ground Saver from Santa Rosa, it won't be here until Friday at 9pm at the earliest so I called back twice and they said there was nothing they would do to help me. They also said that if the ONT doesn't resolve the issue I would have to wait for a tech appointment which would be another few days. --- Update: Sonic came through and dispatched a great technician, Guillermo, today who brought a new ONT and did extra work to make sure everything was working. They followed through on the lower rate but never sent the gift card. When I tried to follow up about the gift card 6 months later, it was 40-minutes of a painful back-and-forth of verifications, sending me over to a different department, not having records of a previous interaction, etc. All the while being unable to read the room and trying to upsell me multiple times with offers on mobile lines. Enjoyed the cheap wifi. And it was reliable. But not worth the pain of having to contact their customer support. Update: they did finally send the $200 Visa card. I paid them when I found out, but it could've been solved with an email - didn't need to get collections involved. Yet, they still send me a marketing post card every week to ask for us back.
