However, I experienced a outage that I could not troubleshoot, and I called customer service for help. However, the agent had a not-so-good attitude, which said I did not appreciate. For which he apologized by blaming it on me. For example, he said the box should have 3 cables. Mine had two. He insisted there were 3 over and over, implying that I had a significant lack of knowledge or experience in troubleshooting. Two of my relatives were with me and also confirmed the two cables, yet he kept insisting there are 3 and that we were mistaken in an exasperated tone. I have always had pleasant experiences with customer service agents, so this was quite shocking. He also did not explain things well. Only after repeated clarification questions could follow his directions. We ultimately were not able to fix the outage due to the cable situation. Hopefully, other agents are more helpful than this one, and only I have had this unpleasant experience. Otherwise, the internet service and installation process is great, I have had no other issues.

Enjoyed the cheap wifi. And it was reliable. But not worth the pain of having to contact their customer support. Update: they did finally send the $200 Visa card. Given the lack of meaningful resolution, I will be canceling my service and returning to Comcast, which currently offers substantially lower pricing, significantly faster internet speeds, and a more complete channel lineup. It is disappointing to see how far this company has declined from the quality and value it once provided. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage prospective customers to carefully compare options before choosing Astound.
