    AHI TUNA POKE*

Our annual trip to La Encantada shopping mall also includes a visit to RA. Our service was on point and the place was somewhat busy for lunch. Some spring breaks have started in the city. We dined indoors and it was cozy, with great background music on. Some of their dishes need to be replaced as they show worn spots and stains. Overall our visit was great. Our food was terrific, but my salmon bowl was just okay. The salmon was overcooked and I wish it had more veggies. Compared to my daughter's poke bowl which looked amazing and she said it was very good. Our highlight was the sushi. So delicious! We loved it!

Sitting outdoors w the weather so perfect. We have 3 children, no children menu , so prepare to pay for an adult plate . Nothing Al La cart? . So we make up the kids plates, Very sm portions of meats from chicken. /beef. I got spicy chicken fried rice. N the chicken was minced u couldn't see it or much taste it., shrimp tempura is always good. My daughter had chicken ramen soup. Not much flavor of chicken, like it's been precut n refrozen, broth was tasty. Beef looked greyish on my sons plate n said well i guess it's no longer my favorite place to go . Our server was very sweet , her name is Alianna . Overall we enjoyed ourselves as a family outing.

This was disappointing. I was in the mood for cold, fresh sushi on a hot summer day and ended up having such a poor experience. We were seated quick but it took a while to even get water. We then waited a good 15 minutes or so to get our orders taken. Their AC was broken (or non-existent?) and their fans only blew on a few tables so we were both hot and parched. Also I get that it's a "modern" Japanese restaurant but I found the artwork of Asian women along the walls offensive. My family ordered different bento boxes, which they said were just okay. The fish was definitely fishy though. My chirashi poke bowl was 80% cucumbers/edamame and 20% fish, and both the rice and chirashi were room temperature, so was not a pleasant experience.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday and sat at the bar. The open bar window is such a vibe, I enjoyed an incredible cocktail, delicious apps, and the best waygu I've had at a sushi place. The adults only roll is a fun twist on sushi. Katelyn is the BEST bartender with excellent and attentive service. This place seriously rocks.

The salad was $10 and it was two bites of nothing.

I would give negative star if I could. Yuck!!! Just hoping we don't get food poisoning! The meal was overpriced, looked horrible and tasted worse. We got it to go and was so excited to have sushi until we opened the bag and saw this. The rolls had no flavor and looked like they came from Safeway. Our bill was $130 for this. If you want good sushi do not go here!

Ambience is great. And the staff is fabulous even when they're really busy they watch out for each other and make sure your service is taken care of. The UVA volleyball team came in slightly after us with 25 people and then the lunch crowd hit. Our food came out promptly still and was hot and delicious. We had the two bento boxes which were fantastic.! There was a slight lagging being able to pay, but we completely understood. The manager is fabulous and make sure everyone is taken care of.

My husband and I dined here about two weeks ago. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they had a special menu for guests with food sensitivities. We started with a couple of their Old Fashioned's made with Japanese whiskey and Japanese yuzu bitters. It was a nice twist on a classic cocktail. We had MISO SOUP, UCHI NO SALAD (mine gluten free and his from the regular menu) and for our entrees, I had the NIGIRI ASSORTMENT and he had the SASHIMI ASSORTMENT. Everything was enjoyable, albeit a bit pricey for what felt like a fairly casual place. The service was excellent. It rained that evening, so perhaps that's why there was a small, but steady crowd. Overall, we had a good experience and agreed it was a great choice. The four stars are for the outstanding service.

Came here to use my birthday coupon and honestly cant wait to go back! The happy hour menu is not to be missed! I ordered the salmon roll and a cucumber Collins drink from the happy hour menu and placed an order for the nigiri assortment from the lunch menu. Everything was so delicious. I love seafood but im always weary as well and can say it was very fresh and the price point really makes you want to come back. My waiter was Jamal and he was great he made sure everything was going well and it was! I had a great view of the mountains and some yummy sushi to enjoy it with.

Chicken Katsu bento box lunch special

RA Sushi is a hip Japanese sushi restaurant. It has modern casual vibes while maintaining a higher end dining experience. I had a Chicken Katsu bento box that was really good. The service was decent overall. I was pleasantly surprised on the affordably of the lunch menu. I would highly recommend lunch for those more on a budget.

It was Christmas Eve and we wanted a special meal without a long wait. We were seated immediately and offered their special Christmas menu. I started with hot green tea and then ordered a sushi roll and shared a sushi special with my partner. Everything was delicious! I wanted to lick the plates clean. Our server offered us a variety is special sauces that spiced up the meal. It's a lovely location, with a classy inside as well as outdoor seating.

No service. Waited for a good amount of time and no one came to get me a drink. I ended up leaving.

Although not formal, this does scream upscale Italian. We started with to half-portion salads. My wife had Little Gem Caesar Salad ($11 for half portion) which comes with grated grana padano, gem lettuce, and croutons. She felt that she would have enjoyed a more traditional version with Caesar dressing (she said it tasted more like Ranch dressing). I had the Italian Cobb Salad ($12.50 for a half portion). It comes with sopressatta, calabrese, pistachio mortadella, fresh mozzarella, provolone, heirloom tomato, pepperoncini, olive, cucumber, piquillo pepper, herb breadcrumb, and oregano vinaigrette. I LOVED this salad; it had great variety, texture, and taste. An A plus for sure. For entrees, my wife had the Bolognese, which is listed as the "House Specialty" for $26). It comes with meat sauce, pappardelle, grana padano, and oregano. Ever since going to Italy this year, my wife has been on a quest to find a match to her favorite Bolognese. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. It lacked the depth of flavor that a well-made, slow-to-cook Bolognese must take to get that depth of flavor. Also, it was extremely salty, which should not have been the case. However, I very much enjoyed the Trottole Chicken Pesto ($24), even more than I expected (sometimes pesto isn't to my liking, but this was excellent). It comes with basil, shaved garlic, toasted pine nut, and crispy capers. The service was professional and attentive. In addition, my wife has a glass of the La Volte Super Tuscan wine, which was quite good, but pricy at $17.50 a glass. So all in all, kind of a mixed bag. I very much enjoyed what I had, but my wife wasn't as lucky in her selection. Our price for two half salads, the two entrees, a glass of wine and a Coke came to $102 before tip. I wavered between three stars and four stars, but went with four-stars because I very much enjoyed what I had. However, based on my wife's salad and entree, along with the high price of the food and wine, it would have been three stars. I would still recommend North Italia for dinner, but your conclusion might vary by the specific selections you make.

This location is at the Encantada so there's plenty of free and abundant parking although it appears they also do valet. We ordered a few things: 1. The truffle bread. Omg this is one of my favorite things here. The bread is so fluffy and the truffle with that ricotta, mmm! Delightful and perfect for sharing. 2. The prosciutto and arugula pizza. Very tasty and great for sharing as well. 3. The rigatoni alla vodka. This was my first time ordering pasta here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This and the pizza made for great leftovers. 4. The chefs board. This was okay. It's their version of a charcuterie board and it was honestly just kind of mid for the price. My only nit is the service which as expected on a holiday was pretty slow.

Love the wall of chianti bottles that lead to the bar and love that the staff dress up in casual Prohibition garb. Came here for girl's night and it was everyone's first time even at the restaurant but mine. I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.
