I cannot recommend Kalei and R&C Roofing highly enough! Kalei has been our family's trusted roofer for years--he has completed roofs for my mom, my Tutu, my brother, and me. The fact that our entire family continues to turn to him speaks volumes about the quality of his work and the trust he has earned. Kalei replaced my roof in 2020, and it was not a simple job. Several boards needed to be replaced, additional repairs had to be completed, and there was an existing skylight that the team had to carefully work around. They handled every detail quickly, efficiently, and professionally. What could have been a stressful project felt completely manageable, and the finished work was exceptional. Kalei is knowledgeable, responsive, dependable, and genuinely takes pride in his work. He communicates clearly, follows through, and consistently delivers outstanding results. If you are looking for a roofer who provides excellent workmanship and treats his customers like family, Kalei is the one to call. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our family over the years. Five stars truly are not enough! read more

By far the best roofing company in Hawaii! Mr. Stiliano explained everything clearly prior to installation. Doug and his crew did a superb job in quality work, timeliness and neatness. If you need roofing work, look no further than R&C Roofing Contractors read more

I needed roofing done where my rooftop solar hot water system was located (lasted over 20 yrs) & before a new one could be installed. Unfortunately, many other roofs in the state needed work after the back-to-back Kona lows. Although R&C could not come right away (neither could other roofers), I decided to go with R&C based on the positive reviews from my online search. They were very responsive given the big demand for roofers at the time, & more importantly, very professional & courteous. The clean-up was thorough & the price competitive. Highly recommended! Excellent work! Customer service is excellent! They schedule with you for an initial inspection and go through in details what needs to be done. We needed the roof replaced due to it being over 20 years old and it is a requirement of home insurance. The supervisor in charge of our work explained the work required, what's involved, and how long it will take. He then provided an estimate, which is reasonable. The entire roof was replaced within half a day, with a staff of 8-10 workers. Very efficient! He provided before and after pictures of the roof. Recently a year later, there was heavy rain and some water was coming through the ceiling of my room. I called them and they responded quickly that morning. The 2 guys worked on finding the leak on the roof, in heavy rain. They reported it wasn't the roof, but the flashing that is on the wall. This was a duplex, where the wall is shared with the neighbor. The flashing is original and has not been replaced. Water was going through the small crack, so the worker applied sealant across the flashing. Very good service. The supervisor came another day to inspect the roof and flashing. It looks all good. He said he can replace the flashing in 3-4 years. I just have to give him a call then. I recommend this company for your roofing needs. read more

Robert P. helped us with our roof inspection and replacement proposal. Everything was very clear and descriptive without having to ask for too much additional info. His pricing was reasonable compared to other companies. They were in and out within 1 day - very fast and nice workmanship quality too. Everything was cleaned up without me having to ask. I am glad to have R&C roofing replace my roof. I have already recommended him to my family and friends without a second thought. Thank you for your help! read more

I contacted R&C roofing. They did a really great job but after we had several rain. I was having a problem with the awning area. Every time we have hard rain it leaks and lands on the electrical box. Every time I make a complaint, they come and fix it. Now that Storm LALA is hitting our Island, same old problem. LEAKING... PLEASE COME AND FIX THE PROBLEM. Im tired of calling the office making a complain. Feby read more

I contacted R & C Roofing after reading numerous positive reviews. Chris Medina came out to inspect my roof and clearly explained what needed to be done. The quote was very reasonable, and I appreciated that there was no upselling. But yikes! My reroofing was scheduled shortly after the Kona Low storms in March, and just one day before another major storm hit Honolulu. The crew arrived early and completed the main house roof in a single day. The separate garage required more extensive repairs, so they returned the next day but had to stop due to heavy rain. To my surprise, they came back on a Sunday to finish the job. Also Kimberly was wonderful. She kept us informed throughout the entire process. What stood out was their commitment and professionalism. Glad I made the right decision to go with R & C Roofing. read more

Matt was amazing, start to finish. Crew was on time, job was done quickly and entire area was clean before they left.

I had a great experience with R&C Roofing! They were more affordable than a few other quotes I got, and I liked that they'd already done reroofing jobs around my community. Chris was super responsive throughout the whole process. I was in the middle of buying a house and needed the roof redone before adding solar panels. They were flexible and didn't pressure me to put down a deposit in case my closing date changed, which I really appreciated. They even managed to squeeze me into their schedule and got the entire job done before lunch -- they showed up with 7+ guys and knocked it out fast but professionally. They set up tarps to catch debris, cleaned everything up perfectly, and left no trace they were even there except for my brand new roof. Chris also provided shingle samples so I could get HOA approval easily. Overall, R&C Roofing made the whole process stress-free, quick, and affordable. Definitely recommend them! read more

Needed a roof inspection so i called several companies. R & C was the first to respond. Matt Stigliano came for an inspection. He asked me some questions before he went up for the inspection. He came back down and tell me of his findings and came out with resolutions for me. Matt is personable and has very good customer service skills. Which is a plus for me. This is why we will be having R & C do our roofing needs. Mahalo Matt! read more

Matthew is excellent in communicating with us about our existing roof inspection and offered his professional advice which we greatly appreciated. If I had any questions, he got back to me very quickly from start to finish. The crew got to our home 10 minutes before start time outside of our driveway and work began right on schedule. They replaced our 2 old attic fans with 2 new ones. They also power washed the old flat areas then repaired and applied Gaco Silicone to our flat areas and perimeter edges which made the old roof look brand new! Kana'i and his crew did an excellent job, very conscientious. Immediately, the interior temperature of the living room was so noticeable...I didn't have to turn on our A/C so I know we'll be saving on our electric bill. I highly recommend R & C Roofing Contractors for your roofing needs. read more

The house has both a flat and pitched portion. Both sections were updated. Throughout the process, Chris Medina communicated well with me as did the office staff. The project started on the scheduled date (with the Kona lows and all the rain, I was amazed that it didn't get pushed back). The workers were efficient, polite, and helpful. The new roof looks great. There were 2 small issues (which is why only 4 stars--I'm a hard grader). My neighbor got bits of grit on the top of her car. It would have been better if they had told her to move car before they started tearing off the roof. My kitchen stove vent was not covered so bits of grit landed on my stove top. Covering that vent before deconstruction began would have been better. I didn't do a lot of price comparison so I don't know if I could have gotten a better price with someone else, but overall I'm very satisfied. BTW, their subcontractor for managing our solar panels was GREAT. read more

It was such a pleasure to have worked with Chris at R & C Roofing. I was referred by a friend who is having her roof repaired by this company and spoke to Chris. He was able to schedule an appointment to do the assessment on my roof. Chris was very professional, he came to meet me at my place and went over everything that he was to assess while up on my roof. This was the 3rd company that I was looking to get an estimate from. The other two companies didn't even send anyone to my place. They said they could do the estimate without coming by, which I didn't really like because if I'm going to pay a company who is repairing my roof, I'd rather someone come in person to do the inspection/assessment. After the assessment, Chris told me he would give me a call back after he got all the info and calculations done. Chris by far gave me the best price along with the best warranty compared to the other two companies. The job was recently done, and I cannot be happier with the service the company has provided and how well the work was done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to repair or reroof their home. Ask for Chris, he's a cool guy and the one who will help you out to give the best price he can offer! read more

On the day of the install then came on time well prepared. They, the crew worked efficiently, every worker knew his job, from taking off to installation. Excellent experience from start to finish! It's a big decision to spend thousands of dollars on upgrading your home's roof and with all the competition it's really hard finding a company you can trust. Through personal research I called a few companies and finally settled on R&C Roofing. Chris Medina was very informative and available to answer any questions I had. They finished up about 7pm. We did a walkthrough a few days later and they sent out a guy to do some minor touch ups. Roof looks great and feels cooler in the house. R & C Roofing Contractors are the Best! I was sitting in my car in our parking garage and I heard this whoosh! The roofing company replacing our condo's roof dumped a bunch of white sludge from the 25th floor onto my poor car. It was thick and sticky. My insurance company would charge $1000/my deductible and it would go on my record and probably raise my rates. So what to do? I called R & C Roofing Company and asked for the manager. The friendly and helpful receptionist was shocked when I told her what happened. No employees had reported the mishap. Oops! I got the owner's number, sent him a dozen photos and he said he'd take care of it right away. What a blessing! He did what he said he'd do. He sent Aloha Mobile Car Wash to my address and Reece who is the owner and a local, showed up on time and got the gunk off my car, miraculously. He waxed it as well. It looks like new, I am really pleasantly surprised. The owner is getting started, his rates are reasonable and he's very good at what he does. I will be having him come and hand wash and waxl my car again, on my dime. R & C Roofing is legit responsible and I'm grateful. I've been in 3 hit and runs, this was not like those experiences at all. Responsible business owners are a blessing. Thanks R & C for taking care of an honest mistake, my car and I appreciate you. read more

They're doing my neighbor's roof and they parked their truck in front of our driveway without asking. This was OK till my wife had to go out. No workers there to move the truck! They must have all gone to lunch which was very INCONSIDERATE! They also carelessly dropped shakes they were removing from the neighbor's roof into our yard. Luckily no one was injured. I wouldn't do business with a company that works like this. PS They were gone for over 1-1/2 hours. It's a good thing that the girl that answered their office phone was able to contact one of them to move the truck in about 15 minutes. They cleaned the debris in our yard but missed a ROOFING NAIL on the walk. read more

If you need any roofing work done, this is the only company to call. Nothing but quality work performed. From the estimator Chris to the pro roofers I'll say top notch. My job was a complete tear off to under payment to new roofing shingles. I watched from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The crew of 11 guys replaced two roofs on my property. I thought it couldn't be done in a day. It was all done and cleaned up in less than 8 hours. The crew is highly skilled and they all move with a purpose. It's almost preplanned. The crew never saw my roofs before. Started machine like. Some guys did the tearoff, some did the measuring others kept roof area clean and organized. Nail guns were popping everywhere. In conclusion, check this company out. I had my roof asphalt shingles replaced in Sept 2019 We just got through a really rainy December... and absolutely no issues so far. I initially met with Walden (R&C Estimator/representative) and he was so helpful in guiding me through the advantages and disadvantages of the different brands and options. No pressure to pick one particular brand. After a few days of research, and waiting for quotes... I felt comfortable with my own decision based on Walden's education and guidance. I received 3 quotes from different contractors. The quotes were similar in range but I liked the Certainteed Landmark Pro product a little more for various reasons. I then met with Robert (R&C Roofing owner) and he worked with me to get the best price and also offered to include some additional labor tasks at no or minimal charge. I felt comfortable with Robert's commitment to me to do an excellent job. Robert also was able to to adjust his crews schedule to fit my job in asap as my roof had just recently started to leak during heavy rain. Again Walden was really helpful in helping me get the Mililani MTA design application written up, submitted, approved and then picked up for us. He and Robert really kept in touch throughout the project to make sure I was informed on the status of the project. The installation was completed over two days and I was really happy with the result. The install crew were courteous and professional and did a great install. Sometimes things get overlooked but Robert and his lead foremen (Henry and Bobby) made sure that any oversights were taken care immediately and professionally. Robert was great to work with... also offered to have one of his crew check on the installation of the mounts for my PV system by another contractor and found that they were not installed correctly and would have voided the roof warranty. they worked with my to get those installed and avoid and manufacturer warranty issues. highly recommend R&C Roofing (and also Walden Wakamiya - estimator). read more

To be honest I was really surprized to see a one-star review here. My experience was quite the contrary and I am a very skeptical person. During the recent December rains, I wondered about the integrity of my roof so thought I should look into it. After calling around and getting the run around about dates and times, I found these guys on Google. When they offered to see me the next day, my first thought was that they were giving me the bamboozle with the "free inspection" thing. Boy was I surprised. The very next day I met with an inspector Vince who went on my roof and noticed what he called "a few shingles that could be replaced but nothing too bad." I was happy that it didnt take him more than an hour, because I had to leave. He asked me a few questions then left and again, I was not sure there was a catch or something cause the next day when Vince called me, he explained that my roof is good and there is no need for them to take up the few shingles unless I notices leaking and he reassured me that there was no catch, the inspection was free. For me, thats all I needed to hear, but he scheduled a follow up in a year just in case I noticed leaking or anything else. I could give five stars for the follow up alone. Thanks again Vince, look forward to hearing from you guys in a year. read more

My husband and I were long overdue for a replacement shake roof. We had extensive damage in the rafters and other sub-roof structures. Our main concern was not knowing the extent of the damage until the roofing company actually began the project and got inside the roof. We interviewed five different companies, we spoke to sales agents and carpenters. Most were nebulous about the amount we would have to pay. It was nerve racking to say the least. From the moment we met Vance from R & C Roofing, we were impressed by his professional manner. He thoroughly assessed our roof and went through all case scenarios. He came up with a maximum cost he would charge for repairs. His price cap was less than the base price of many other companies. We stressed that quality of work was paramount and he assured us that was their primary interest as well. The crew arrived promptly on time the day of the job and everyday thereafter. We were amazed at the skilled and conscientious crew. They worked non-stop everyday until completion. They worked hard, quickly and in good spirits. Company owner Robert and Vance as well as additional foremen were consistently on site overseeing the work. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up the work area as we have children and pets on site. The job was more extensive than originally expected but it was completed in five days. Vance and Robert were quick to respond to any questions we had. R & C kept the cost under the maximum price quoted for which we were amazed and very grateful. End result: The roof is beautiful and structurally sound. The quality shows. Our experience with R & C roofing was positive from beginning to end. We strongly recommend this company for your roofing needs. Thanks Vance, Robert and crew! read more

Throughout the entire process from the first contact made with Vance in February 2019, we have been extremely pleased by his thoroughness, knowledge, professionalism, thoughtfulness, and commitment in helping us to the best of his ability. Vance was really comprehensive in developing a detailed proposal and responded to all of our questions. In addition, he informed us of the added features of enhancing the life span of the shingles and helpful recommended warranties. Michelle, Office Manager was very helpful, friendly, and pleasant. Overall, Vance made this an extremely smooth process and always educated us in developing a great piece of mind. We have really learned a lot from him. Our old roof was about 20 years old.
