I had gutters that were almost 30 years old. We needed to have them cleaned and repaired. Whitney did a good job except that the next day when it rained, some leaks remained. He had to come back to repair those, which he did. He did replace a damaged part of the gutters and did a good job there. I also asked him to fix an outdoor electrical outlet that wasn't working. Ten years ago we bought vinyl rain gutters and installed it ourselves. Six months ago we replaced it with 6" aluminum rain gutters. We got through the rainy season without our usual flooding and the walkway around the house remained dry. I highly recommend professional installation of rain gutters. More specifically the average person does not have access to a Seamless Gutter Machine. We have a 1930's house and it needs a lot of maintenance and repairs. Called several companies for estimates on gutter installation. Whitney called and came on Super Bowl Sunday before the game started. He walked around the house with me, explained to me in detail how it would be an extensive project due to our roof design and got us a detailed estimate 1 week later. We accepted his competitive bid, and scheduled to have the work done a month later. He and his crew finished the work over a week, despite torrential rains at times. There were several parts of our roof where he called us out to look, showing us how uneven some of the roof was, and gave us the choice of "making the gutters look lined up with the roof, or making it so it drains the water in the best way possible." We chose the latter, and with our next big rain, the difference has been remarkable. Whitney also installed rain barrels and drain extensions to the sidewalk away from our house. His attention to detail and customer service is amazing and he wanted to ensure that I was happy with the work. We met twice before the work began to ensure we had an agreed-upon plan. My two-story house in Kailua needed a lot of seamless gutters and Whitney was able to match the color of the downspouts with the structural posts so the downspout blended in with the post (different color than the white gutters up on the house). He also came back a few days after the job was done to do a couple of touch-ups and cut one of the downspouts shorter--I forgot to point out to him the hidden plumbing shut-off valve under the house that couldn't be covered by the downspout. After taking a number of quotes from other contractors for comparisons, I asked Whitney for a quote to install gutters on my rental unit as there was a flooding problem at the back of the house due to the recent heavy rains. Whitney scheduled an appointment a few days out due to his very busy schedule. However, he had an opening the next day due to other customers' rescheduling (not his doing) and called me to see if we could do the inspection/assessment earlier. He arrived on site a little earlier than his scheduled tume, which is always a good thing. He did his comprehensive and thorough assessment in a short time, thanked me and informed me he would have his quote to me i a day or two. He called me the next day and wanted to schedule some time to discuss some observations he had and some ideas and options he wanted to present. He showed up early, again, and presented to me in detail what he thought we should do to address my flooding issue at the back of the house. His observations and innovative ideas were spot on and impressive. I was so impressed, I hired him on the spot because all the other contractors didn't bother to go into any details or offer any ideas about addressing the real issue, which was the flooding. Whitney is so good, he installed the gutters around the back of the house to immediately address the primary issue. He completed the project on budget and way ahead of schedule. He and his team were always prompt, always on time, courteous, professional and cleaned up the job site after they were done. He arrived on time, surveyed the house, and told me he'll email the estimate within couple days. As promised I received the estimate within couple days. The price was reasonable, within my budget. We set up an installation date. On the day of the install, Whitney arrived a little early (which was fine) and a co worker arrived latter. He told me it was going to take a full day but they finished in 6 hrs. Everything was professionally and neatly done and they made sure they cleaned up afterwards.
