When you can get hold of them they are great. Used them to replace old gutters some years ago -- the gutters are still doing great, but had to replace some of the downspouts in July.-- I tried my best to get these guys, but they are very busy, so I had to go with another vendor (who was very good as well). They screwed the brackets holding the downspout to the front of my house which, like the majority of homes in Hawaii, is single wall construction. They screwed all the way through the wall so the screws protruded into one of the bedroom walls. I discovered this after paying them and had a hard time getting any response from them - first not returning my call, then promising to call back with a plan for remedy, then... nothing. How can anyone who does this for a living not know when a screw is too long to go through single wall redwood????!!! They did not put all the fasteners on the brackets which hold the gutter to the roof fascia so we called them back to complete the job. They left the shafts of rivets all over the roof, in the gutters and on the ground. read more

I don't get the less than positive reviews, thank goodness I do not pay any attention to them, I go with my gut and the vibe I get when talking with someone and after talking with Sandy and John I knew Gutter King was the company to go with. 12 years in Wahiawa, it was finally time for my DIY gutters to go, I inquired on Yelp and before the end of the day Sandy reached out to me and scheduled John to come by and take a look at my gutter needs, within a couple more days I had a written proposal that was more than fair for three houses along with an installation date. I did entertain two other proposals not that I needed to, one came in twice as much as Gutter King and the other was roughly the same but I did not feel that same connection as I did with Gutter King. It is so refreshing to know that there are still good people out there that are compassionate and professional at what they do. I can not say enough about Sandy, John and there entire crew they truly knocked it out of the park and I can not be more pleased with the whole process. Once I decided on a total replacement of my 45-year old copper gutters, I had Gutter King accomplish the project. I am glad and satisfied I went with John and his crew and Sandy at the office. It was not easy, but John is a professional and has the years developing expertise in this niche trade. He was efficient, quiet, and methodically detailed. Also, his prices are very fair. We purchased gutters from gutter king in 2021. The prices were reasonable and the installation was super fast. The gutters solved our problem of rain splashing and waking up our kids. However, after installation Gutter King became increasingly more difficult to get ahold of. We ordered splash blocks which took weeks to get. However, they left the downspouts too low so the splash blocks never fit underneath them. They said they'd come back to raise the downspouts but never did. One of the gutters randomly sprung a hole which we wanted to have patched. No response. We then tried reaching out to get an estimate for more gutters and relocating some down spouts. After 6 months of trying, we finally got someone to give us an estimate. We then asked them to perform the other work at the same time while completing the work we requested. Radio silence. After 15 months of waiting, we ended up having to pay another gutter company to do the service, who showed up the day after we contracted them. We understand if things happen, but at the very least, do some kind of outreach to your past clients and let them know. Radio silence is unacceptable. read more

Gutter King installed rain chains in our house about 4 years ago and after two years, both of them became completely dismantled and fell apart. We talked to Sandy who told us this particular product was defective and she would order different ones to be installed. She strung us along for the past 18 months telling they were ordered on two different occasions and that someone would be by to install them. She does not answer the phone or text messages. Really disappointed in her dishonesty and lack of follow-up. read more

Just had Gutter King do a pretty large install at my duplex. They rocked it. Everything looks clean and solid. Sandy was on point with scheduling, communication, and getting proper materials and colors for us. The foreman(I feel bad for not remembering his name) was awesome. He walked the whole job with me to figure out best placement and did solid work. It only took one day and a couple hours the next morning to finish everything up. Super stoked with our new gutters as we have had some flooding issues in the past. Although we initially got the gutters for function, they also look great and added some value to the house. My experience with this company was a complete and utter customer service FAIL. I was lured in by the fact someone answered my initial phone call to set up an estimate appointment. I was given a date the following week and an arrival window of 9:00am -12:00pm. Arrangements were made to make sure there was someone at the house to meet the estimator. On the day of the appointment, 12:45pm rolls around and no one has shown up or called. I call the office number and get a voicemail and request someone call me with an update. I call...and call and call...no one answers. Two hours later I get an email from a Project Manager saying they had an emergency at a job site and the estimator was not able to leave. Fine, I get it. But wouldn't a phone call to let your appointment know you cant make it been appropriate? Foolishly, I accept their offer to reschedule. I'm given a time of 11:00am. Again, arrangements are made and I'm counting on the estimator to show up. Just as the last time I get an email at 11:46am asking if the estimator can come between 2:00pm and 3:00pm. Fine. At 4:31pm I get an email asking if the estimator can come at 5:00pm. Fine (I've pretty much given up at this point, the person who arranged to meet the estimator at the house is long gone and tired of wasting his time). The next day I email AND call asking if anyone showed up and if there is a quote available. No response. The next day, I email and call. No response. Which brings us to today where I'm leaving this review. Here are some suggestions for the Gutter King Staff: 1. If you say you're going to be somewhere, be there. 2. Answer your phone. An emailed response to multiple phone messages is not acceptable to communicate with possible clients 3. Communication is key - Everyone knows that unexpected things come up. You'll find that most people are pretty forgiving and flexible if you just keep them informed. When you don't do this, it just looks like you don't care. Outstanding workmanship and great value installing new seamless gutters on my home. They are a family owned small company. Due to all these factors they might apparently struggle at times with scheduling but only because they are so busy. Remember they have to deal with weather conditions too. I called these guys for an estimate to install some copper gutters on my house. The gal that answered the phone my first call was very nice and said someone would get back to me to schedule an appointment. About 2 weeks went by with no call back,so I decided to call again. Another lady answered and apologized for not calling back. She said John would call me to set a time to come out for an estimate. Another week goes by and still no call from anyone. I decided I would call one more time, this time the lady said John was doing estimates in my area tomorrow and would be sure to come by my place. Next day comes around and nobody showed or even called me back explaining they couldn't make it or would come another day. What a joke! I would give these guys zero stars if I could. We were staying with friends at Nuuanu Streamside when Gutter King cleaned the multi building/level gutters. This review is not about the actual gutter cleaning, but more about the crew. From yelling across the property, to smoking and even leaving rubbish after cleaning the gutters (see photo - the debris was never cleaned up even when the came back the second day). At the end of the day, some of the staff went behind the building near the unit we were staying at, to change their clothes! I understand it's gutter cleaning, but roofers and window cleaners don't behave this way. They probably assumed that residents weren't home during the weekday, so they could do whatever they wanted. read more

They came out next day after I requested quote and worked with me on what I needed and wanted for gutter placement and down spout placement. The owner explained how everything worked and where would be great places to put everything to water plants and move the water away from the house. He was very knowledgeable, patient and kind with me which I appreciated because my husband was away for work. They came out super fast within days and got the job done beautifully just in time for a rain storm. It only took them the morning to finish the entire job. We recently installed new gutters on our house. I went on the Better Business Bureau site and requested quotes from multiple gutter companies on the island. Gutter King had a excellent BBB rating, no complaints on the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and their license was valid. Their quote was on the more affordable side of the spectrum. The estimator who came out to my house was very professional, had an explanation of the best plan for my gutters and also pointed out suggestions for the roof I was having installed. They were also the only company who provided a warranty on the gutters. The company was very accommodating. I was also installing a new roof and painting my house using 2 different companies, so Gutter King was very nice to be flexible with the scheduling of my installation. My roof took forever to be scheduled and they didn't have any problem postponing my gutters. The job was completed super fast. It took only half a day and the workers were very friendly. read more

A postscript- After my previous posting, i moved forward to secure a different vendor to complete the gutter job. The vendor charged me $200., the gutters were completed! Probably 4 to 6 weeks after that, Mrs. Manning- owner of Gutter King called me out of the blue. Saying, she had been away from the office for an extended period on personal matters. Upon her return, she caught wind of my name and issue and followed up with me. I told her my long story.. she was very shocked, and apologetic. She offered to reimburse the $200. We had gutters installed and the estimate did not mention that wedges would be used between the fascia and the gutters. The wedges are visible past the gutters and are very noticeable, not attractive and do not match the look with the older gutters that we have in place. I am not sure if this is the way it is supposed to look? I have tried to get someone to come and take a look at our situation but no success. They are much too busy. The office girl is very nice and feels badly that no one has addressed our concern. Other than this issue they did a very good job, the installers were vey nice and quick and the office workers are very nice. So one star each for them. read more

It has been wonderful working with Gutter King. Sandra and Matthew have been excellent with their customer service and taking care of my needs. My house is a three story down slope house that can be difficult to work on due to the height. Gutter King was able to remove all the old leaking gutters and install new ones in only a day. Where they really shined was in their follow-up service. After the initial install, I wanted the downspouts from my top story to flow directly into the second floor gutters, they came out to add the additional lengths. I later found some wood fascia damage behind the gutters and they came out to correct that. Then after the first big rain I found that the flow of water had to be directed differently due to the curvature of my cement driveway. Gutter King came out to correct that. All done without complaint or charge to ensure they got the job done right. I got 5 quotes for my house. Gutter King was not the cheapest but they were consistently the highest rated for customer service in the online service listings used. They were also the only one with all the licensing and bonding I wanted since my house is difficult to work on. My initial contact with Gutter King went well as I met with their sales person soon after I made my initial phone call requesting for a price quote to install new gutters on our house. During our conversation we agreed to use one less down spout with the new gutters as it was not necessary. This has worked out fine. He also mentioned he would provide the required installation design to meet the requirements for the Mililani Town Association permitting process. I promptly received a contract with their price quote along with the design and color chart. I understood they are very busy and the installation was scheduled to a little over a month later. The installation went fine however the installer did point out I have a low spot on my roof where the gutter did not cover. Also during a heavy rain I found a spot where the water was running down behind the gutter. I called Gutter King on 2 separate occasions asking for their help to resolve these issues and was told both times that a field worker would call me. I never received a call back and after calling for a 3rd time I was told to email them a picture of these issues which I did. They responded that someone would contact me but again there has been no call back. I was willing to pay to resolve these issues but I have given up on Gutter King and will be contacting another company for help. read more
