We got gutters from Windward after we had storm damage in the first Kona Low storm. They were fantastic. Responded quickly, had exactly what we wanted, price was competitive. Best part is they worked overtime to get us in before the next storm. There was a mixup with parts at the shop but they made do with what they had, and came back the next day to finish the job. They came out last year to help with some troubling leakage on our eaves. They worked really hard on our estimate, offering several solutions (if money is no issue, if money is an issue, need to have, nice to have) and installed a drip edge. They're genuinely there for the customer and do not try to upsell, but they are thorough and will make sure you have the right repairs. New owners and its totally confusion. It appears there are two or more people handling the schedule and they don't communicate. My estimate was missing some work, so I asked for it to be updated, crickets. Two weeks go by and they show up ready to clean without notice. If they sent notice I never saw it or the revised estimate. Still some great employees there but it's not the same business. Also the crew used to be 4 people done in 2 hours, the last visit prior to this disastrous one was only 2 and took hours. Sorry but found a new company. read more

During the past Kona low storm I noticed my gutters were overflowing on my 2nd floor downspout. There was so much rainwater it was overflowing onto the house. I do rely on researching through the Yelp website. Although there was many roof and gutter contractors and most reviews were meh. One contractor advise the minimum cost just to come out would start from $1500-$2000 because it was a 2 story home! Another didn't want to touch it until i replace my roof!! He didn't know that it's rare finding a metal curved roof that would probably last 50yrs. Then I came across Windward Windows and noticed their current high ratings. I called and was surprised that they could come in 2days to survey which ended up to be a clog! He came back couple days later and was able to clear the clog. I noticed my immediate neighbor had a downspout flapping in the wind. With the storming I pointed it out. Standing there, she called her friendly gutter people. She told me, they will be here soon. Next day, actually less than 24 hours they arrived and began working. And they were. Wow. I called and asked for a visit. They came the next day. Wow - Next day. And they gave me a good price and fixed mine. Mine was a small job. They did a small job and they did it right. They did it better than I expected, maybe better than they said they would. I don't think they did it right to impress me or because it was simple. They did it right because they 1) listen, 2) pay attention to everything 3) they did the way we wanted. In that short job, I talked to four different people there. Each listened, was easy to communicate with AND was polite in educating me why my way was not the wise, and what they could do to make it best. And they were right. Excellent process! Danny came out on time to estimate the replacement of a section of my gutters, then promptly emailed me a reasonable proposal. After accepting it, the job was scheduled and the crew came out as scheduled, and did an outstanding job installing the gutters. The crew was polite, professional and efficient. They even indicated that since the gutter and my flashing were different metals, they went the extra step and treated the gutters so future electrolysis wouldn't occur! We noticed the gutter on the front of our house was separating from the house. with the heavy rain that we had last week the gutter was separating even more. Windward Windows & Gutters (WWG) is an excellent contractor that does great work at a fair price. The owner came by and gave us a quote to install new gutters on 3 new structures (Carport, Gazebo and Cabana) and was very informative and had great ideas. Once we accepted their quote, they scheduled our work for the following week and did an excellent job of installation, even though there were a few challenges they had to overcome. After having a bad experience with the first estimate from another company (you can read that review) I called Windward Windows And Gutters. An appointment was made on a Wednesday, and I was informed that I didn't even need to be at home if that was not convenient for me. Danny, who is the owner of the company, was actually the one who came out to do the estimate himself. I spoke with him on the phone and he took several pictures of my house. Within a few days I had an estimate sent to me via my email address that I was able to look it over and discuss with my husband. I thought the price was very fair. Once I had agreed to move forward, a time was set up through Danny to complete the gutter project. His crew arrived on time and was very efficient in the installation. I'm writing this review over 1 year later after hiring Danny to install gutters on my 2 story home. I haven't ran into any issues and still very happy with them. I received multiple quotes before I finally found Danny, and he's the first person who not only was I most happy with the pricing, but also the most comfortable I was with his expertise and professionalism. He was also the only one who wasn't irritated with all my questions and concerns (or at least hid it very well, lol). Also, the rain barrel system that I was interested in wasn't a conventional one, and one that Danny hadn't seen or heard of before, but he was open-minded about it, heard me out, read the instructions on my kit to get a full understanding, and made it work! He even gave me tips on how to set up my rain barrels, which I did before my appointment, so he was able to help me make it compatible with the gutters and spout. Danny is also very honest, because normally, you get an extended warranty with a maintenance plan with them to clean it every year, but he said that because of the way my house is, it won't need cleaning every year, so I got to have their extended warranty with getting it cleaned every other year. I'm really pleased with my whole system, and really happy that I chose Windward Windows and Gutters. I used to dread heavy rains because of all the erosion it would cause, but now I look forward to all the rain we can get. I save so much water, and my plants and trees love rain water. read more

Terrible experience from start to finish This company was a complete nightmare to deal with. They showed up over three hours late without calling or texting. The crew was totally unprofessional -- smoking on my property, leaving cigarette butts and materials behind, and spending most of their time on their phones. They didn't answer my questions, acted like they didn't care, and left a mess when they were done. Then when it rained, every corner of the gutter leaked, and the downspouts were scuffed and not straight. I paid good money expecting quality work, but got nothing but frustration.
