Complete bozos and their commercial highlights that fact! How do you do a commercial with no fall safety gear on when above 6ft?

I cannot say enough good things about this company and I highly recommend them. We had gotten a referral to them from a solar installer. From the beginning they were so customer focused. Frank was the first person with whom we dealt - he made an appointment quickly, talked to us about the roofing project, had samples for us to look at, answered all our questions, was friendly, professional, and VERY responsive via text, phone, etc. Their bid was very competitive and so we chose them. Originally, we thought we would have to wait until October but they managed to work us i quickly. The on-site crew was all that was promised. They showed up (early), went to work, and worked SO hard (without stop) that they completed the entire job within 2 days! They were so polite, quiet (as quiet as roofing can be), and best yet - cleaned up so well! All the crew were friendly and so nice to deal with - our only complaint is that they got done so quickly, cleaned up, and left before we could personally thank them for their excellent work. Roni and the team at Environmental Roofing Solutions did a great job reproofing my multilevel home. When we bought our old house, we knew we needed a new roof so I got some quotes from some roofing companies. A contractor I knew recommended I give Roni a call. He sent his estimator, Greg, who was very courteous and then Roni followed up on the written estimate Greg provided and asked if I had any questions. After reviewing quotes from several companies, I selected Roni because they came in as a lower bid and were willing to start right away. We wanted to have it done before winter rain storms. I totally can attest to other reviews that Roni is a man of integrity and doesn't just care about the money, he wants to deliver a quality product with quality labor. His crew of Teamsters are great and worked with the challenges of my small driveway, steep roof and overhangs. I was impressed that they worked so efficiently. We ended up getting Certainteed Landmark shingles in a color we wanted and it was installed on time and on budget. There was a hiccup in the job with the wrong flashing delivered but Roni made sure the job was done RIGHT. He told his guys to wait for the right flashing to arrive. Once they finished, they cleaned up everything, which included using a roller to find any loose nails on the ground. Highly recommended! Props Roni! read more

Roni has done a couple of roofs for me and my relatives. Our aluminum standing seam roof was previously installed by ERS. I noticed that the area around the vent on the roof for the stove hood was starting to lift. And some other screws were rusting. Roni and his team came by and remedied both items. Had my homes roof done 6 years ago, due to recent heavy wind and rain my roof started to leak. I called and left multiple messages for Roni with no reply. Very poor customer service and it seems that they don't stand by their work. I would think twice before hiring this company. Even if my roof was not covered by warranty (6yrs?) My roof just got completed an hour ago so I felt compelled to leave a review just as quick as Roni and his "A -Team" completed the project. I got several quotes from big name roofing companies prior to committing to Roni and his team at ERS. Roni gave me his best possible price, and it was too good to pass up. Did my research on the company, yelp/google reviews, and even watched some of their videos on YouTube. I was very impressed and felt very comfortable with my descision. Hard to trust now days with all the horror stories with contractors that I've heard from close friends and family, but Roni put me at ease with our very first conversation! So today at 7am I had an army of roofers show up. Roni promised me the previous day that he could finish the job in 1 day. At first I was thinking "No way." But this morning I was like "Yeah going be pau fast!" Roni's team was so friendly and professional! Hard to believe that these guy was part of the roofin company I hired. Felt like a bunch of my close friends coming by to hang out in my front yard. Once the entire team arrived, it was all business! So I backed off and disappeared back into the house. Once you see their game faces and hear their foreman, it's time to leave these guys to what they do best! The next 5hrs was all serious business. Could hear them up on the roof doing their thing. Scraping, hammering, nail gunning, sawing, then it all went quiet. Was getting worried that they either ran out of materials, or something happened. All off a sudden I hear a faint voice calling me through my garage... "Hello!.....we're done!" Man I was floored...or rather...roofed! So like any other home owner, you go out to check the work! Yup it was all done in 5hrs. Complete re-roofing of my multi-level 1700 sft under roof home! It looked fantastic! Now I did peek out through the 2nd floor windows from time to time and yes they did a proper roof job. Was able to see the wood planks that were under the old shingles, saw them replace the flashing, and install new tar paper so I knew no corners were cut. Was just amazing to have it all done in 5hrs, and including the entire clean up of every speck of trash! Even my neighbors were impressed and asked who these guys were! Mahalo Roni! Ronnie came to do an inspection on a house my wife and I were in escrow on. He knew we only had a couple days left in our inspection period, but he was slacking on getting us a quote. When he finally got a quote to our realtor, it was the wrong one!!! We ended up having to put in a ballpark figure to get credit from the seller which we ended up underestimating that after finally getting the corrected quote. Tried reaching out to Ronnie for and updated quote on the more immediately needed repairs and he didn't even bother to respond back. Seems like he only cares about bigger, full reroofing jobs. There have been times when I've felt compelled to write a review on a business that I wished I could give a negative zero or a plus 5. Well, I just had my monier tile roof removed and replaced with asphalt tile by ERS and this is one of the rare occasions when I wish I could give a plus, plus, plus five star rating for ERS!!! From the first phone call to Roni until it's completion yesterday, I felt confident that it would be a job done well and with professionalism. With Roni, Frank and their crew, I never had a reason to worry except if it might rain!! Believe me, when Roni and Frank say, "No worry, I'll take care of it!!", it will be done. All it took was a phone call to Roni inquiring about an estimate; then Frank goes out to look at my roof, take measurements, receive an itemized estimate within a couple of days, scheduling, a day and a half of extremely hard work by the crew and pau...all done. Being in construction for over 38 years, you would think that I could find a quality roofer who could replace around 25 cracked Monier Tiles and re-grout some loose cement areas for a reasonable price for my home. I was not looking for free but I was also not looking to pay from $70 to $95 per tile that I got proposals from that I estimated would take a couple guys 2-3 hours to do the work. Knowing that this was a small job and maybe too "humbug" to set up this work in the Makakilo area, I was resigned to just "bite the bullet" and pay the $$$ premium of having one of the highly rated Yelp roofers do this small job when I decide to try and call Environmental Roofing Solutions. I talked to Roni about my needs and the fact that all of roofers that I talked with wanted to charge between 3-4 times what I estimated the real cost of doing the work with a good profit since I was providing all of the replacement tiles. Roni understood my situation (frustration) and told me to let ERC take a shot. The very same day, Greg, ERC estimator went over to walk the roof and reconfirmed the work required and submitted a proposal the next day. I was happy with the proposal because I knew that they would do a great job and I wouldn't have to pay a premium price of up to 3x to 4x of the real cost of doing the job with profit because the job was too small or out of the way. I was lucky that they were able to schedule the work a few days later. ERC provided great follow through in communicating the scheduling for the project, came on time, finished the work in 2-1/2 hours, replaced 10 additional cracked tiles that they didn't see initially at no additional cost, cleaned up and hauled away all of the damaged tiles. More Importantly ERC did a great job to ensure that my roof was "water tight". Greg took pictures to show me all of the areas of the roof where the tiles were replaced and re-cemented. I needed 11 Monier Tiles Replaced and was reffered from Hawaii Energy Connection. Roni Yurong contacted me right away and came to look at my roof to verify the color as he would need to match what my current tiles are. He was able to find the exact color to make sure the new tiles match. Being that I am a busy person, which I did not even have to be home while Roni did the work, which I really liked. He was very reassuring as I am a person to worry a lot. I am very positive to whoever hires Roni, will be happy with the results. I manage projects that I sell for my full time job and I couldn't see it being any easier for a customer who is busy and needs someone they can trust even when they are not home. Don't be misled by the one person that gave this company a 1-star rating. That person didn't have any work done by the company, and is only complaining that the company didn't come back with a quote in a couple of days. Everyone else that HAD work done by this company gave them 5-stars (myself included). In the 10 years I have lived in Hawaii, there are very few companies (less than 5) that I have been satisfied with their work. I reserve the 5-star rating for only the best of the best, and this company is quite deserving of that ranking. Everyone wants to get the best deal AND the best service. Well, with this company, you get both. But besides feeling like I got a great deal for the work done, they are also very responsive. If you have a problem or concern, they are on it. Don't be surprised if you find out they are booked up for weeks. Companies that do great work AND off great value are going to be busy (duh!), but if you are in a dire situation, don't be surprised to find out this company will jump through hoops (to include working on a weekend) to help you out. Very happy with Environmental Roofing Solutions, Roni, and Gregg. I had roofing damage from our recent storms. Living in the heights, I would stand out on my balcony and with each strong gust of wind, had shingles flying off my roof. My gutters blew off and as they hit the ground, I nearly had a heart attack from the crashing sound. I filed a claim with my homeowners insurance, and they were the ones that contracted with Environmental Roofing Solutions. Roni (owner) and Gregg came out to my house promptly to assess the damage, and arranged to have a crew to promptly come out to re-roof. They removed my fallen gutters and solar panels, and did an excellent job in re-roofing. Unfortunately, the removal of the gutters exposed hidden problems with my vinyl siding on my facia. Gregg contacted several contractors for me to repair the vinyl siding on the facia. A contractor (Cutting Edge Builders) came out and repaired my vinyl siding on my facia and did a great job. Then Roni arranged for a gutter company (Akamai Raingutters) to install new gutters, and they did a great job also. So this was a job with many moving parts, and I am very happy and satisfied with all players. Great job, men! read more
