Evan and his team had done an emergency repair for us about a year ago and were great, and their work to install a new roof in January was outstanding as well. Keha was able to quickly help us with emergency maintenance and help me navigate working with our insurance company. His estimate was very fair and lower than others I talked to in the past and I appreciate that he didn't try and upsell us to a larger job with reinforcing beams, adding support etc as others had done; he accepted our little old house for what it is. He was great about updating me on timing too. very easy to work with. Evan and his team that installed our new roof were GREAT! Locally owned and work was done very timely and clean. They installed my gutters and painted the roof eves and it came out better than expected. Keha is very knowledgeable and always transparent with the project. Never wanted to do additional work without me knowing. Keoki the gutter installer was very fast and made the gutter looked really clean from the downspout to some of the facia not sitting well for gutter to hang. Cast the Yelp net when I woke up to rain leaking through my open beam ceiling on a Sunday morning back in February and Keha from J&E Roofing replied with a solid "yes, we can help" He arrived early for his in-person consultation the very next afternoon which I appreciated as more heavy rain was forecasted in the coming days. 20 minutes later and back on the ground, we went over my options that ended up being most unexpected but certainly budget friendly! Keha said he would have someone out the next morning to temporarily patch the two places where the shingles had been blown off by the high winds the week before and that's exactly what happened. 10 days later, after the rain had passed, and completed in half the estimated time frame (just 1 day instead of 2), I had a beautiful new roof. I found J & E roofing through a search on Yelp and they had great reviews- well deserved and let me add one more! I needed a 550 sq ft studio bungalow on my property to be re-roofed. Decades of weather, dry rot, termite damage and poor original construction had it in pretty bad shape and leaking in 6 places. J&E expertly reframed most of the roof and added perimeter support. They successfully joined three different roof heights so that it will drain properly. Where possible, they saved existing beams for cost savings on materials. Keha, Evan and the crew were wonderful to work with and showed up on time every day. They answered all of my sometimes silly questions and provided a quality end product in 4 days. I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the gentleman that came to give me a quote on my roof repair. He was nothing but professional and was full of aloha!! He helped me locate the leak and gave me advice on how to fix it. By looking at the repairs I already made on my roof, he pointed me in the right direction and gave me advise on what kind of materials to use to not only fix the problem but to make the seal last long. Third party insurance consultant cancelled our homeowner's insurance 3 weeks after moving in stating loss of granularity. After numerous roofing estimates, we decided to hire a local roofing contractor. Our attic did not have any ventilation at the start of the project resulting high indoor temperatures.
