RSC roofing reroofed two areas of my roof in Dec 2020. The roof repair was just under 10.000, with a 7 year warranty. Starting in March of this year (2026) I left multiple messages and 3 in the last 3 weeks. No one has returned the call.. Not good! read more

After the recent two Kona Low storms followed by a third heavy rain, my second-floor roof started leaking. I urgently needed a roofer to inspect and diagnose the issue before leaving Oahu. Rocky, the owner, lives nearby and made time to come out on a Saturday, which I really appreciated given the urgency. He was straightforward and honest in identifying that the leak was coming from the hot water heater panel joints--not the roof itself. He also took the time to send photos and clearly explained what needed to be done to fix it. I had reached out to nine different roofers over a few days. Only one other responded by text on Monday, and another didn't call back until four days later. Rocky's responsiveness and professionalism really stood out. If I ever need a roof inspection or replacement in the future, Rocky will be my first call. read more

3/2025 - Received 3 bids and chose RSC Roofing. I wanted to go with Certainteed, the roofing brand used when the house was built, since after 24 years, no leaks but noticed the granules were coming off causing concrete discoloration from the gutter downspouts. Those shingles, now discontinued, had a 20-year warranty period. Rocky was quick to respond and to give me a quote. He was courteous and answered my many questions, revising the contract a couple of times to my satisfaction to ensure only Certainteed products were used to adhere to Certainteed warranty requirements. In hindsight, I probably should have used a shinglemaster contractor through the Certainteed website, as they can offer longer workmanship warranties and have been trained on proper installation of the Certainteed product, but I am satisfied with the work Rocky's crew did in a day and a half and at a reasonable cost. He even emailed me pictures when the job was completed, at my request, so I had a better view of the work they completed. Recently, I sent an inquiry to Rocky as I needed the number of squares used to fill out an online Certainteed warranty registration form. His timely response made me want to write this review due to his excellence in customer satisfaction. Mahalo! read more

Our old roof was leaky, lots of wood rot and termite damage. The previous owners overlooked it and did some shoddy patch jobs before we bought the house. Rocky and his crew did an excellent job replacing fascia, rafters, and added a new rolled roof and gutters. Giving us a huge peace of mind knowing we don't have to worry too much about the next rain. Also with any issues, Rocky sent his crew back the next day to make sure we were happy with the finished product! We were very happy with their work that we also asked to get a quote for the deck! read more

Rocky and his crew did an amazing job on our complete roof replacement! To start, we were approached by "storm chasers" FBC and it wasn't sitting right with me. They were pushy and basically stated that the cost of our roof replacement would be whatever the insurance quoted. That made me think, hmmm... something must be wrong if a company can't or isn't willing to give you a fair quote based on their own professional opinion. They're simply in it for the money. We then proceeded to contact RSC. To be honest, I wanted at least 1 more contractor to come out and make our decision from there, but after speaking with Rocky, it was clear who we were going with. Besides being quoted what I believe to be fair, he went above and beyond to make sure our property was neat and cleaned after the job was finished. He even brought a porta potty for his team to use and asked them in a courteous manner to take down some random things the previous homeowner had installed on the exterior of our home at no charge! Not only does he care about the quality of the work him & his team produces, it's obvious that he's an amazing boss and takes care of his team. THAT'S THE KIND OF COMPANY YOU WANT TO HIRE! Thank you again Rocky and team! read more

Rocky was only concerned about getting insurance to pay for an entire roof even though we only needed to patch our roof. We followed his instructions and then he ghosted us when we tried to follow up with him. But it was too late to rescind our insurance claim. The insurance company then actually threatened us to fix our roof or they would drop our policy. Luckily our insurance agent was able to fix the situation. Rocky could have led us into a really bad situation because all he wanted was to fix the entire roof using the insurance company's money. He did not care to get our roof patched to protect our home. He even told us that if further rain came and damaged the rest of the house, we could request our insurance company to cover it. There are definitely better roofers out there who care about the homeowner and are not looking to rip off insurance companies. read more

I solicited estimates from four licensed companies to repair various roof leaks. RSC's recommended solution was more extensive than the others, but at a lower price. Most importantly, Rocky was the only company that gave a warranty for workmanship. His crew arrived on time and worked straight through until job completion, with the exception of a 30 minute lunch break. They were pleasant to deal with (like Rocky), and completely cleaned up when they were done. True professionals. I feel fortunate to have found Rocky and RSC, and based on my experience, highly recommend them. read more

Forgot to submit my review. Last December 8th with the heavy wind/rains my roof started to leak. Requested 3 quotes on yelp and Rocky was the first to respond and the first to come can give an estimate. Headed came too but their quote was the same for only 1/4 of my roof! They also didn't identify the problem like Rocky did. Rocky's quote was almost exactly that of my insurance estimates. Very nice that my insurance paid for the whole thing. Love Liberty Mutual! Scheduled the work and it was done in less than a month later and took only 2 days. Rocky inspected the work during and after and walked the property to ensure no stray nails or roof on ground. He is very responsive and helped me through this very stressful situation. He even helped my dad with his roof issues a month or so later. read more

We highly HIGHLY recommend RSC Roofing. We had leaky skylights plus a mysterious leak which turned out not to be from the roof. Rocky and his team replaced the problematic half the roof. They had 5 skylights to deal with, one of which they couldn't find a replacement dome for since it was proprietary to the special type of skylight my father was sold a few decades ago. Rocky and I discussed this, and decided to try to reuse the dome. A few months later it began to leak. Although the new roof was covered under warranty, the old dome was not. After a bit of negotiation, Rocky replaced the old dome with a standard cover for the cost of the new cover and a nominal fee for the installation. Now that skylight is under Rocky's warranty. RSC conscientiously cleaned up every day they worked. I did find a few nails in the yard afterwards, but less than a dozen, which I find astounding. With the hundreds of nails they go through, I expected to find 10 times as I did on the ground. Our mystery leak appeared, and Rocky himself came back and inspected the roof, crawled through the attic, and confirmed the leak was not from the roof. (It's most likely a shower wall) THREE YEARS LATER I needed proof of work done from our insurance. I realized I hadn't printed out the invoice for Rocky's work, and asked Rocky if he could possibly find it. He did, and emailed it right over. What a lifesaver! Three years later the roof is still great, still under warranty, and we've had no problems with it. There was a storm that hit the windward side pretty hard. The news interviewed a busy roofer helping folks who had damaged roofs. It was Rocky, and I was proud to have had our roof done by RSC! Thank you Rocky for your great work and accommodations! read more

They replaced the old roof w/a new one; chose Pabco Weathered White for its lighter color to hopefully reflect off sunlight more than a darker color. I discovered & chose RSC as they were replacing other roofs on the street next to ours. Plus they had a high rating on Yelp. They also helped to have the costs partially covered by our home insurer due to a January windstorm that had affected a lot of homes in our area. Azur did the estimate & Rocky & his crew replaced the roof. They also had their own plumber come in & remove our two solar panels; cleaned it & reinstalled it after the roofing job was done. They also had discovered that the company that had initially installed our solar fan had cut a bigger whole than it should have been & replaced it w/a new board & cut it correctly for a small fee. Cleanup was pretty good; as they even went over the grounds w/a magnet that picked up a lot of nails & roof staples. Note - Rocky did offer to have one of his guys come back & go over the place again with their magnet but I opted to buy one from City Mill ($28), as I felt no one could do a better job at it than me (as a homeowner). I did find a few more nails/staples; but I was ok with that. All in all, a good experience with this company. read more

We recently had our roof replaced by Rocky and his crew and they were quick to demo and install, professional in their work ethic, responsive via text. Azur was also really great with keeping up with email contact for scheduling and other requests. We had a slight delay with the plumber coming back to reinstall the solar hot water panels, but Rocky was really helpful to get in touch with him and get the plumber back out. Rocky was really apologetic about the delay, but it was all good. And when the plumber did come, he was so helpful with the reinstalling (new insulation, cleaned the panels, flushed it). I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs! Everyone is really attentive and considerate. read more

Needed to replace our 40+ year old lanai roof and used Yelp to send out requests for quotes. Rocky from RSC was quick to respond and came out to see our roof. He made suggestions and sent me a very competitive quote. The other 2 quotes were significantly higher. I decided to accept RSC's proposal and they came out yesterday to remove the old roof and install the new one. Happy with their workmanship. They did a great job cleaning up the work area. So glad I chose RSC to do the job. Would highly recommend. read more

Rocky and crew are total professionals. Efficient, responsive and friendly. Highly recommend RSC Roofing.

Owner is fast to respond to request for quotes. He scheduled to come out the next day to take a look at the small leak in a bedroom ceiling. There is an attic above the bedroom, so he investigated there. For the roof, he didn't have a tall enough ladder at the time since the house is 2 stories high. He came back the next day to inspect the roof. The same day he got other helpers on the roof to repair shingles and seal the leaks. It took about an hour for the repair. I'm not sure what the usual cost of roof repair would be, but it did seemed kind of high. We even paid in cash. Overall if you want fast response and repair, give RSC Roofing a try. read more

These guys did a good job. Rocky (the owner) is always responsive and replies when I texted him. The price was very fair. When he first came over to give us an estimate he pointed out leaks that weren't pointed out by the other contractor. After he completed the job for the day, it was always clean. I was impressed. I recommend for you to check your roof after the job is done, they missed some areas but he was more than willing to complete it asap. Rocky is a guy I can trust, I would use his services again. read more

Roof shingles were in the yard when we got home from work 2 days ago. Crazy windy weather that would still last days. There were even more on the ground the next day. We dreaded every gust and heard a loud boom in the early evening. I found Rocky on Yelp. He answered quickly and set a time for the next day, Saturday to take a look. I started a claim w/ my home insurance. Rocky said he had just been @ a house that had the very same roof, same problem but was in worse shape. He kindly discussed options w/ me and proceeded to help us out by securing shingles that were lifting up. Hoping to get great news from our insurance co. Will definitely go w/ Rocky and RSC if allowed to pick our people. read more

If you're looking for a roofing business that has great customer service and fair pricing then Rocky and his crew at RSC Roofing is the business for you. They were referred by Malama Solar when our roof wasn't approved for solar due to the granules in the shingles being severely degraded on 70% of the original roof. Rocky came and did the site survey, gave us a quote, and when we agreed, his team were punctual, friendly, and professional. They even went above and beyond when they cleaned my gutters without me asking. It took two days to replace our all of roofs and the job was also approved by Malama Solar to continue with solar installation. If there are any roofing issues we won't hesitate to contact them again and we're grateful for their business. read more

Thinking of changing your roof? LOOK NO FURTHER!! USE RSC ROOFING!! We gathered quotes from various contractors and RSC came out on top with a great price and the earliest installation date. Rocky is amazing to work with. Extremely responsive to any question and very professional. We enjoyed communicating with him every step of the way. He was always available. Come time to install the roof, workers worked quickly and efficiently. Installation was done in 3 days despite some rain. At the end of each day, workers would clean up outside and neatly stack old/new material. They even went around the house looking for nails. Very appreciative of their attention to detail. Highly recommended!! Would absolutely use again!! read more

Want to thank Rocky and his crew for all of their help. The roof on our house was old but received some damage due to the weather we been having lately. Rocky sent Christian to work with me on the estimates, insurance claims, and everything else I needed to get the work started. They were with me through the entire process and were always open with communication. They addressed any concerns I had. The work they did was fenaminal as you can see in the pictures. They even took care of some other unforseen problems with the roof for a reasonable price. They also did very quick job. Rocky was very pleasant to work with and is very honest and reliable. Roof and termite damage repair. Excellent service. Rocky and crew did a great job at a great price. Highly recommended!

Just got my roof re-done at Tropics at Waikele. Wife and I are very happy. The old clay tiles were a nightmare. Other neighbors had their roofs re-done (our HOA allows only two different shades of the Certainteed asphalt shingles), but Rocky's work is much more detailed and thorough. And his pricing alone beat the competition! (No additional charges for dumping the old tiles, no charge for ridge vents!) We highly recommend him, but hurry he's getting busy! I told my neighbors to use him. Pictures say a thousand words so take a look. Mahalo to Rocky and his crew. He is the heavyweight "Champ" at roofing! read more

Went on Yelp and chose 2 roofers for estimates. First to respond with an estimate was RSC on Dec 18th. Decided to go with RSC on Jan 20th and reroof was done Feb 1-2. Happy outcome. Job was quick, efficient, neat, & relatively quiet to replace the wrong type of roof shingles installed by our previous general contractor on our new covered patio in Jun 2020 which had subsequent leaks. Numerous attempts by Choi's Interior to remedy the leaks failed. Received a reimbursement from Choi & proceeded with RSC. read more

Rocky and his crew replaced our den metal roof with a solid wood roof with shingles. This job took about 3 full days and it looks spectacular! They also put a protective layer on our main roof (single layer - non shingles) and the water runs right off like a polished car. Rocky himself took a look at our garage roof and our solar panels. He added coverings to the footing of the panels to ensure it was water proof. He gave recommendations and when we asked about other things, he said we didn't need it. Buyer Beware. Where to begin: - 3 to 4 day job took 6 days, solar re-install delayed due to roof not being ready. - roofers dropped roll of sheeting and box of metal clips off roof, loud thuds hitting ground, safety issue. - workers left power tools and gas can in yard overnight, homeowner not responsible for roofer's tools, gas can is fire risk, major safety issue. - workers leave rubbish overnight; bottle caps, cigarette butts, snack pkgs, very unprofessional. - roofing nails pierced patio roof ceiling, creating splintering wood, visible holes. - missing an in-ground solar light; if it was broken, at least admit and notify homeowner, not just remove and say nothing, didn't think homeowner wouldn't notice? - left numerous roofing nails, metal staples in yard, safety issue. - left tar marks on concrete wall, didn't clean up. read more
