I came here a few days ago and it was Lin or Linda or who was my nail technician, but she is so kind! I got an acrylic set with baby pink tips and a star, but she gave such amazing service. I love it when a nail tech is talkative, and we had such good conversation about our families. I don't come here often because I moved away, but I will definitely come back again! I also came here in the winter to get a cat eye set and they came out so cute! Very friendly staff, thank u again:)

I got a builder gel french tip with a cherry blossom design and it turned out beautiful. Mimi did my nails and she was very sweet and gave wonderful service and complimentary refreshments to me and my family. Everyone in the salon is very friendly and welcoming.

Came here because the reviews were so high but they must have had an extreme off day. The technician filed my nails so extremely thin and the nails already fell off. They hurt under hot water because they're so bendy and thin. The French also looked terrible and I had to tell her after every nail that it looked bad and she never fixed it. Also look at what happened to my nail. I do not recommend at all. The monomer also smelled rancid and a lot worse than usual. She also didn't even ask me what color I wanted my base nail, I had to tell her after she tried putting on a random color it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted gel x and she did acrylic instead but she said it was too late to swap it. Too much wrong with this place.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this QV Nail Spa, and I was truly impressed with the experience. The spa is located in a shopping plaza in Gilroy area, and the interior is beautifully decorated with calming colors, soft chandelier lighting, and super clean environment. Their staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Will definitely return to this nail spa again with friends. Thanks Sophia for making my nails look gorgeous. I love it!

Well I think I found my go to nail salon!!! I recently moved to the area and some of the salons I have visit did an ok job but you were just another person to them. I decided to give this salon a try and wow was I impressed!! The salon was very nice and clean. I did a walk in and they took me right away. I acquired for a full set. I explain to Thao that in my line I work my hands take a beating everyday and I don't want long nails but just love the look of having my nails done. I also told her what products work best on my nails, since I had a regular manicurist that I seen in my old town. She was very attentive and listen to my request and was fantastic in giving me what I wanted. I will continue coming here and having her do my nails. Great job! Would recommended! I got acrylics and my nails turned out great! But some things are that they literally pop off your nails with a spare nail tip, which if you are educated, you should no that doing that to nails is NOT okay. It damages your nail bed by ripping the layers off. Second thing is that the lady doing my nails while shaving my nails, also did the same to the skin on my finger. It hurt only a bit so I thought nothing of It. Other than that, they were very nice and welcoming, they also serve drinks. I can't lie I did notice something off about the cup used for my drink. When I took a sip it left a sour taste on my lips, when I got home I checked my cup and there was a lining around the cup. After thinking over these things, they're not THAT bad, they did amazing on my nails! read more

It's been a long, long time since I had a mani/pedi and wow did I pick the best salon to get back to self care! Excellent customer service, I mean all the staff introduced themselves, asked my name and repeatedly welcomed me as it was my first time! Coffee, water, margaritas (!) were offered and overall it was just so nice to be pampered, I felt very rejuvenated afterwards. I needed to find a nail place in Gilroy. Tried a couple places and was not happy. I used to go to a place in San Jose and I absolutely loved my nail technician. I transferred work to Gilroy and wanted to find something closer. Finally I was recommended to QV Nails spa and to ask for Kim. She is fabulous and does an excellent job. read more

I went to 3 other nail salons in Gilroy before finally finding this one. I've been going here for about a year for gel manicures and pedis and have never been disappointed. Very nice inviting atmosphere. Came here with my boyfriend on his birthday for a much needed deluxe pedicure. These 2 sisters take their time and pay attention to detail and were so gentle and polite. I definitely recommend them to anyone in need of quality care and pampering! Well. I went to QV a week ago for the first time. Went based on reviews. I went in for Dip on my natural nails. They were very sweet and great customer service. I am just disappointed on the quality of the dip. My nails started to chip the next day! And now barely a week later they are all lifting and chipping. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I paid $55 for the dip plus a $10 tip. I usually don't mind paying this much because it last three weeks if I go to my normal salon. I just think $65 is pricy for very poor quality. read more

Sadly, probably one of the worst nail spa I've been to. I have my go-to spa in SJ for over a decade now, but it's quite the trek for me nowadays and I was desperate for a quick mani and pedi. If 3 different nail technicians had to take turns working on my pedicure that lasted nearly 2 hours, that should tell you enough. I was so patient and did not complain one bit, as I just wanted to get out of there already. I paid $35 for a regular pedi that chipped instantly and looks like a 4 year old painted my toes, as the paint was all over my cuticle and skin. The nail tech also liberally poured acetone all over my toe nails after* she massaged, washed and wiped down my feet with a warm towel, which just left the acetone eating my skin up while she struggled to paint my toes. The entire process was all over the place. I don't even want to speak about my mani. That's a whole nother mess. Huge mistake giving them a shot. Yes, I still tipped the nail techs, because they were nice, but you can tell this is not their strong suit. What a disaster!!!! read more

This is an overdue update! I came back here in the beginning of May and brought my sister along this time to treat ourselves to a little spa day, I can't emphasize enough how sweet everyone here is and also how beautiful the decor is. Everything is clean and properly sanitized and the nail techs are SO TALENTED! This time Kim, the owner, did my nails and her sister did my sisters nails. Her sister was so sweet and kind with my sister and took her time to do a fabulous job, we all conversed during our appointment and honestly it felt like we were all friends :) Kim did an amazing job with my nails and she was also very sweet, even though it was a busy day for them they both made sure we felt welcomed and just really took care of us. One thing to note is that if you get your acrylics done here, they WILL last! None of my nails got wiggly and I still have all of them fully intact and perfect, that's the biggest sign of a nail tech that knows what they're doing :) I recommend this salon to everyone and can't wait to come back! read more

Thier business hours state 9-6. I walked in at about 9:10 AM.. I asked for a manicure and pedicure. After staring at me up and down, I was told no we can't see you. Mind you there was no one in the salon except for the workers stting there staring at me . I think common practice could have been worded a little bit differently. For example they could have said sorry we don't have time to see you right now can you come back at 10 or another time? Super rude and very unfriendly. The sign says it's under new management. First impressions mean a lot. Thank you NEXT. read more

Moved to Gilroy 1 year ago and have tried a handful of nail salons in this area which were either too pricey, bad quality, or rude/rough. Not only is this salon close to home, the staff are ALWAYS very welcoming and friendly! You're offered water once you sit down. I have limited availability on the weekends when I'm off work, and almost always they've squeezed me in on a Saturday-do recommend setting an appointment though because they're busy! The quality of every set of nails and pedicure surpasses any in the area I've experienced. The polish lasts a long time and the designs are well done. Prices are comparable to other nail salons in this area-I've been to some ridiculously overpriced ones ($60-70 for a manicure/set!) Going to other salons would give me anxiety because I wasn't sure if they would do good work, over charge me, or treat me poorly. Every time I go to Q Nails, I love my experience and come out very relaxed. All the nail techs are kind and skilled-I trust them all to do a great job! Thank you so much Q Nails! read more

New ownership! I followed Kim from Hollister and this is now her own nail salon. I understand previous reviews for an old shop can be discouraging. Kim is dedicated to turning around the reputation of this former salon by providing a clean, friendly and relaxing environment. Personally, I don't go for the artsy nail designs but I love how she does my nails every time and I've seen her do some awesome work on others. read more

I had a manicure and pedicure. Everyone did a great, thorough but gentle job. As a cancer patient I need to be careful not to get nicked. It did not seem like they were rushing at all, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the process. The only thing I didn't like is that they charge for removing gel that I pay them to put on. Wouldn't stop going there for that reason...they are too good! I just got the little clippythings to do my finger myself (;-) read more

Kim Vo, our friend, was the founder of this salon. She had a passion for this profession and had been building this place a comfortable and relaxing place for your pampering time regarding all manicure and pedicure needs. Mimi and I took over this business early November 2023. She asked if she could cut my nails shorter since some were different lengths. Despite that, she cut them SO short that there was basically no length left. Once she finished the first hand, I looked down and was completely confused about why my nails were so short. Then she pulled out an acrylic kit. I immediately asked what she was doing and why my nails had been cut so short. She then tried to blame me, saying I had shown her a picture of acrylic nails. I explained that I never asked for acrylic and the picture was simply to show her the design I wanted. The worst part was that she never apologized or took accountability. It wasn't until she realized I was packing up my things and leaving that she finally seemed to care. The woman at the front desk who originally greeted me asked what happened, and I explained everything. She was very apologetic and wanted to fix the issue, which I appreciated, but I was already too upset to stay. I ended up going to Luxury Nails across town, and honestly, I'm so glad I did. They were able to do damage control and gave me exactly what I had originally asked for. I understand that misunderstandings happen, but cutting someone's nails drastically shorter than requested, completely misunderstanding the service, and then blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility is extremely frustrating. I left feeling very disappointed and will not be returning.

When the technician, Tony, told me to sit at his station, I politely declined and said I was happy to wait for a different technician. Instead of handling this professionally, Tony became incredibly hostile. He shushed me multiple times and told me I could either leave or come back another day because "nobody else" would help me. When I asked why he was being rude, he slammed his desk and began yelling, claiming I wasn't "giving him an opportunity." I have given him opportunities in the past and simply do not care for his work--which is my right as a paying customer. He continued to shush me and speak about me in another language in front of the entire salon, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe. While the other two technicians were kind enough to apologize for his behavior and offer to help me, the damage was already done. Being treated with such aggression and disrespect after five years of coming here is unacceptable. No customer should be shushed or yelled at for expressing a preference. I'm deeply disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at QV Nails in Gilroy. ALL of my nails came out uneven. They're chunky, bumpy, and completely different from each other. There are also air bubbles throughout, which makes them look even worse. I informed them about the issues during my appointment, but left with the same poor results. This is completely unacceptable for what I paid. The nails look so unprofessional and messy that I'm embarrassed to have them on my hands.
