I've had several massages with Nora, and each time I leave feeling noticeably better. My muscles feel less tight, my body feels more relaxed, and I find it much easier to unwind and fall asleep afterward. She takes the time to focus on the areas that need the most attention and always creates a comfortable, calming experience. While my tension and muscle issues are still a work in progress, I've seen steady improvement with each session. I had a haircut and keratin treatment by Trisha at Pure Lavender. She cut my very long, dry hair into a chic, stylish bob, and restored the texture and shine that was missing from my locks. She was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable in all things related to cosmetology, and also very worldly and interesting. I was treated to bottled water and quite possibly one of the best cups of coffee in town! My appointment flew by and suddenly a new, refreshed me emerged with gorgeous hair! I was a very consistent customer (as you can see in my previous reviews), but I didn't feel valued because of these reasons. I have been going to Tammie H every three to four weeks for eyelash extensions for about a year now and love the result every single time. She is sweet and skilled and professional. Her work is amazing - I got sick a few months ago and went about six weeks between appointments, and my eye lashes still looked good. She's so gentle and it's such a relaxing experience, I've fallen asleep during appointments! I haven't tried any of the other services offered at Pure Lavender yet, but I see their clients walk out smiling with pretty nails and beautiful hair and there seems to be many regulars. I've tried giving Pure Lavender Day Spa multiple chances, but unfortunately today confirmed this will be my last visit. I had a 12:10 PM appointment for both a manicure and pedicure and arrived early around 11:55 AM. I even told the front desk I was fine seeing another technician for one of the services because I was on a limited timeframe. By 12:06 PM, I mentioned that I couldn't wait much longer and was told the technician was "almost done" and already setting up. That turned out not to be accurate. I was sent back and ended up sitting with my feet soaking while nothing actually started until around 12:25 PM. The technician I specifically made my 12:10 manicure appointment with didn't even come to start my nails until 12:50 PM. Had I not agreed to see someone else for my pedicure, I honestly don't know what time I would have been seen. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of acknowledgment. No one apologized for the delay, and I was still charged full price. Meanwhile the manager seemed more focused on taking photos and chatting with other guests than addressing the situation. The most frustrating part is that this isn't a one-time issue. This has happened multiple times when I've come here, where appointments run far behind and you don't end up with the technician you actually booked. At that point it really makes you question why appointments are offered at all. After giving this place several chances, this will be my last visit. read more

Uh, no thanks. I used to go to Lavender Day Spa before the management changed and it used to be good. With the management change, prices are SKY HIGH; $$$FIFTY for a acrylic fill. That's highway robbery. In addition, the new owner hired licensed but seemingly untrained manicurists. I've been wearing acrylic nails for years, and never had them applied so haphazardly and fake looking. Do you want weirdly slanted, thick and overfilled nails? Come here. I'd recommend going elsewhere, any place else other than this place. read more

I booked a shampoo, conditioner and a blowout. As a FTM to a 4 month old, I thought it would be nice to finally get my hair done. I get there and the place is very nice. Nora washes my hair and gives a great head massage. She goes to dry my hair and just blow drys it using a diffuser and no product. I ask her if she can use styling tools and she tries but turns out she was not a stylist and only does massages. I decided to end it there. The manager, Quinn I believe, says that the blow out is only shampoo, conditioner and a blow dry. So we had different ideas of what a blow out is. Then she says that I told Nora that I did not want my hair styled, which I thought I said I did not want my hair flat ironed. There was a language barrier so maybe I did not explain myself clear enough. The stylist then comes to finish my hair. I was still hoping for a blowout if possible. No products such as heat protectants were used and she just blow dries my hair with a brush and without really sectioning it well. She straightens my hair using a flat iron. At this point, I did not want to walk out of there with my frizzy, puffy hair (I have thick, curly hair). She does use an oil at the end of the styling treatment. They still charged me the full price for the blowout that I did not receive and then $10 extra for using the flat iron. Quinn also said that the stylist used products other than the oil but I watched the entire process and did not see or feel and products being used. It was not what I wanted or hoped to get and super bummed that my first time actually getting to do some self care turned out like this. I would not recommend going there to get your hair done. read more

I came in yesterday at 3:30 PM for a pedicure. By this morning, the polish was already peeling, land chipping off (see photos this is not normal wear and tear for one day). I returned today to give them a chance to fix it. I was even willing to pay the price difference to upgrade to gel, assuming the regular polish just wasn't compatible with my nails. Instead of standing behind their work, they tried to charge me an additional $35 to fix a service that didn't even last a full day. t's incredibly disappointing when a salon won't guarantee their work for even 24 hours. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about quality and customer service. read more

I've been going to Swan and her attention to detail, making them thin and nicely shaped, as well as making them as short as I want is so refreshing compared to other salon experiences I have had. The atmosphere inside the salon is like stepping into Bridgeton. The only thing that could be better is massage chairs for pedicures but overall I highly recommend coming here and I recommend booking with Swan. read more

Discovered this nail and beauty salon through Yelp. Had a wonderful manicure from/with Vy. Inside of the salon was spacious and beautiful. All of the employees were super courteous and friendly. Clean + sealed nail tools were used for each new customer, and restrooms were available for customers. My friend and I were in the same room together and received a facial and deep tissue massage on top of the head spa. After the service, we were treated to hot tea which was such a nice touch. We were encouraged to upgrade to the detox head spa, but the before and after analysis didn't show much difference. The scalp and facial massage was rough, and the rest was disappointing. The lady that did my massage seemed inexperienced and after reading other reviews, she appears to specialize in mani/pedis.
