Nora, you are Amazing!! Trish thank you for making me feel beautiful. My first time at Pure Lavender. I went in for a massage and walked out with a haircut too. The atmosphere was calming and welcoming. Thank you, for a wonderful experience. read more

Called in for an impromptu head spa day and they were able to get us in immediately. Had the Scalp Treatment with Tricia and it was wonderful! The space is tastefully done and everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. The treatment was relaxing and my scalp felt invigorated. I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the free gift, Tricia! read more

I've had several massages with Nora, and each time I leave feeling noticeably better. My muscles feel less tight, my body feels more relaxed, and I find it much easier to unwind and fall asleep afterward. She takes the time to focus on the areas that need the most attention and always creates a comfortable, calming experience. While my tension and muscle issues are still a work in progress, I've seen steady improvement with each session. I'm grateful for her skill, professionalism, and care, and I look forward to continuing my treatments with her. Highly recommend! read more

1st timer at this place. Clean & welcoming environment. I booked for the VIP Head Spa with Cut & Hair Treatment with Trisha. The online booking process was easy. I especially liked the fact that it asked to upload inspo pictures for haircuts. Head spa was first. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was relaxing. Rating: 3.5/5 Haircut followed after. It wasn't until then that I asked if the inspo pictures were reviewed prior to my appointment and, unfortunately, they weren't. Luckily I knew where I saved my inspo pictures and showed her what I hoped for. One look at the photo. Few questions asked. The outcome - not exactly as pictured... but the haircut still came out cute: long bob cut with wispy bangs, and face framing layers. Surprisingly I wasn't showed the back. Rating: 4/5 Would I return? Yes. Head Spa? No. Haircut? Yes. Would try other services? Yes. read more

I am so beyond irritated with my experience today at Lavender Day Spa. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed today (which maybe was my bad for trusting a nail salon to do my eyebrows, but I was in a rush and needed to do what I had to do). I have gone in the past, and they always do my eyebrows thinner than I would like, but when I'm desperate, I come here. This was the worst experience by far. I came in thinking I would get my eyebrows done in 10 minutes max. I walk in and let the front desk person know I need my eyebrows done. A woman eagerly gets up, ready to service me, and leads me to the back room. She lays me down and immediately starts putting towels on my head and on my chest (not sure why--this isn't a facial or massage, but I'm thinking, okay, as long as she does her job right, I don't really care). She starts prepping my skin with some sort of powder (I assume it's to prevent irritation--appreciate the sentiment, but also, let's get this show on the road). After she took about five minutes EACH brow just to put the powder on, she proceeds to put the wax on my eyebrow. I assume she will start putting a strip on each brow--as it usually goes, one on the top, one on the bottom, and bam, you're done. But no. She literally starts putting the wax on section by section, as if she's plucking my eyebrows with the wax. I kid you not, she probably took about 10 minutes EACH brow just to wax them. When it was finally time to wax it off, she rubbed the paper so hard on my skin and went over it about seven times. I feel like she was going to make me pass out from pushing down on my temple so hard or pop my eye out from the amount of pressure she was using. At this point, I'm irritated and wondering why she's taking so long. The second I felt her put the wax on, I knew she was a rookie and did not know what she was doing. I knew that after she was done with my brows, she was going to proceed to pluck them. I immediately told her NOT to pluck my eyebrows because, from the way she was waxing, I knew they were already super thin and that she had completely changed the shape of my brow. I also knew she was probably going to take another 20 minutes. She continued to ignore me and tried plucking anyway. I told her twice that I had a baby waiting for me at home and that I needed to get out of there. I was already there for maybe 30 minutes at this point. She still continued to ignore me. When I was done, she didn't even hand me a mirror. I looked at myself on my phone camera, already knowing this was going to be the worst brow job of my life, and yeah... I was right. My eyebrows were not even close to being related. One was SO thin that it looked like I had a five-o'clock shadow--you could literally see where the tan stopped and the skin was completely stripped. The other one was okay, but it didn't match my other brow AT ALL. I'm so irritated. I desperately needed to get my brows done for a wedding that I'm a bridesmaid in, but she messed them up badly and wasted my time and energy moving slower than molasses. What a shame. I guess anyone is qualified to do eyebrows now. When I went to pay, I told the lady I was not happy with my service, and she had the audacity to tell me my brows looked amazing. Girl, stop lying. Lavender, please do better, and please do not let people who are not qualified to wax eyebrows WAX. I will definitely not be going back. This place is a cat fish. The vibes look 10/10 with a clean environment but the quality is terrible. And I do not need a response from the manager. The service is paid for and done with. Thank you. read more

Cute and aesthetic place, and the massage room was beautiful. Unfortunately, the experience itself was disappointing. My appointment was for a massage to relax and enjoy some quiet time, but during the massage I was offered additional services, which interrupted the relaxing experience. During checkout, the person at the front desk chimed in before I had even signed the transaction and was already trying to check me out. When I chose to tip by card, I was told, "Make sure to bring cash next time." I found these interactions very unprofessional and off-putting. The atmosphere is nice, but the service experience could definitely be improved. When trying new places it is a hit or miss, this was a disappointing one for me. read more

Updated review to 3 stars because they rescheduled my nail appts upon arrival several times and/or made me wait as if I were a walk-in despite me making an appointment in advance. I was a very consistent customer (as you can see in my previous reviews), but I didn't feel valued because of these reasons. I still recommend Swan for nails and Nora for massage if you decide to go as this updates review isn't a reflection of them. read more

It was an enjoyable experience and very clean. Would definitely recommend coming for a gel pedicure.

Garbage when it comes to getting your nails done there. They literally just put a plastic nail that was already shaped loaded on with glue and a purple UV light and paint it over it way overpriced for $90. They were done in 30 minutes. I do not recommend you get your nails done there. I have not tried the manicures but if this is the worst they do at that price. I will not tell any of my family and friends about going there. Aside from burning my finger really really bad with the glue that they used. I literally screamed of the pain. I went on Amazon and found their product for $20 and you can do it 20 times for $9.99. Which by the way, my nail already fell off a few days later. read more

I have been going to Tammie H every three to four weeks for eyelash extensions for about a year now and love the result every single time. She is sweet and skilled and professional. Her work is amazing - I got sick a few months ago and went about six weeks between appointments, and my eye lashes still looked good. She's so gentle and it's such a relaxing experience, I've fallen asleep during appointments! I haven't tried any of the other services offered at Pure Lavender yet, but I see their clients walk out smiling with pretty nails and beautiful hair and there seems to be many regulars. The salon is roomy and bright with lots of light, plenty of parking and staff are friendly. Appointments can be booked online, which is very convenient. I'm so happy that I found Tammie H - thank you for the beautiful lashes! read more

We booked a Saturday morning appointment for my cousin's 16th birthday. In total, there were 5 of us getting manis and pedis while my 3 year old daughter hung out with us. The staff was amazing and kind, Kristine helped with a warm welcome for the birthday girl, with a personalized sign & gift! She even had us sing happy birthday to her complete with a candle and muffin :) Despite us being a big group, their staff was still able to get in other customers and provide great customer service. None of us felt rushed... that paired with the lovely decor made the atmosphere a perfect place to relax. Also, all our nails turned out great! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to treat yourself to a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We'll be back for sure! read more

I had a haircut and keratin treatment by Trisha at Pure Lavender. She cut my very long, dry hair into a chic, stylish bob, and restored the texture and shine that was missing from my locks. She was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable in all things related to cosmetology, and also very worldly and interesting. I was treated to bottled water and quite possibly one of the best cups of coffee in town! My appointment flew by and suddenly a new, refreshed me emerged with gorgeous hair! I will be returning for upkeep of my 'do and probably for some other lavish treatment! read more

Nora did my head spa and facial. It was really good and relaxing. She was the best! I'll def come back again.

This day spa is a hidden gem! Great staff and excellent customer service. I've had the best of both worlds headspa and massage package multiple times now and I always go back for Nora. She gives the best facial and massage. She communicates and listens to your needs then applies just the right amount of pressure. She even found knots I didn't even know I had! I used to live across the street from this place and I loved going there. They always were kind and did my nails perfectly.

Kristine, is absolutely wonderful, she is the new owner of Lavender Day Spa next to Nob Hill on 1st street in Gilroy. The whole vibe has shifted to a relaxing get away and I love getting my mani/pedi's done here. Great service and I definitely recommend this spa for any gifts as well- I purchase a lot of gift cards to give a nice gift when you want to give something special for a memorable gift. ***** 5 star experience- plus the way it's decorated makes the experience feel magical! read more

I've tried giving Pure Lavender Day Spa multiple chances, but unfortunately today confirmed this will be my last visit. I had a 12:10 PM appointment for both a manicure and pedicure and arrived early around 11:55 AM. I even told the front desk I was fine seeing another technician for one of the services because I was on a limited timeframe. By 12:06 PM, I mentioned that I couldn't wait much longer and was told the technician was "almost done" and already setting up. That turned out not to be accurate. I was sent back and ended up sitting with my feet soaking while nothing actually started until around 12:25 PM. The technician I specifically made my 12:10 manicure appointment with didn't even come to start my nails until 12:50 PM. Had I not agreed to see someone else for my pedicure, I honestly don't know what time I would have been seen. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of acknowledgment. No one apologized for the delay, and I was still charged full price. Meanwhile the manager seemed more focused on taking photos and chatting with other guests than addressing the situation. The most frustrating part is that this isn't a one-time issue. This has happened multiple times when I've come here, where appointments run far behind and you don't end up with the technician you actually booked. At that point it really makes you question why appointments are offered at all. After giving this place several chances, this will be my last visit. read more

I had an awesome deep tissue massage with Nora. She really took the time to work deeply into areas that needed attention and incorporated a lot of great stretching and flexion. Uh, no thanks. I used to go to Lavender Day Spa before the management changed and it used to be good. With the management change, prices are SKY HIGH; $$$FIFTY for a acrylic fill. That's highway robbery. In addition, the new owner hired licensed but seemingly untrained manicurists. I've been wearing acrylic nails for years, and never had them applied so haphazardly and fake looking. Do you want weirdly slanted, thick and overfilled nails? Come here. I'd recommend going elsewhere, any place else other than this place. read more

went here once for a drop in pedicure and i loved the service all around! today i decided to go and get gel x (i set an appointment), i normally have my regular nail tech in morgan hill but she works only weekends and i'm not able to see her, hence why i took the chance here as i think they were amazing the first time around. i asked if i can squeeze in a gel pedi and they said yes which i appreciate them so much for! the pedi was good though the lady that did it kept filing my skin overall wasn't painful just uncomfortable. massage was great though! while she was doing that, someone was taking my old gel x off and she put my hand in acetone to soak off. well the front desk lady came around and said they'll do my gel x at the table after my toes are done. i said thats fine. 10 minutes passed by and my hand was still in the acetone and i only took it out because my fingers started burning. no one told me anything on what i should do, the nail tech helped someone else. that took about 1 hour. i sat at her chair and she had me try on nails that fit. my regular tech usually goes with nails that fit my small hands and doesn't go too wide. this set... was wide and very off. she was struggling to put gel x on and had to do it a few times, getting the glue everywhere all around her hands and mine. she had to fix a few that were crooked and she kept the middle one because she said she would file it to make it not crooked. then she tells me the color i want is empty so i change it. after she files i let her know i would like to change the color and apologize for the inconvenience, i also told her the nail was ok as far shape because she seemed stressed out already and i felt bad having to take more of her time plus she had a client waiting. fast forward, she couldn't find the magnet for the cateye effect and also before this she was showing me colors that didn't match the number i told her. she apologized and said that "things go everywhere" and i understood. when she was painting my nails she missed the sides and i also noticed my thumb wasn't filed down all the way like gel x should be and she had to fix it but it wasn't filing down. so she just painted over it. again... she had someone waiting, she looked disgruntled and i just didn't want to worry her more even though i was upset. overall it took about an hour and a half for my gel x and that's usually how long it takes for a soak off, new set and full design with my regular tech no hate on the tech, she was super sweet hence why i felt bad correcting her but management needs to do a better job. as someone who works in business this is poor management and care and candor for the customers and their workers. the first time around i was offered water/ tea, checked in on and made sure i was comfortable. this time was the complete opposite the lady at the front apologized and let me know next time to ask for certain techs but since it's my first time, how was i supposed to know? as an establishment if you know your techs don't have certain skills don't have them perform the task. thank you for giving me 10% off but i shouldn't even pay for something this bad. she did offer to fix it tomorrow but honestly i need a whole new set and now have to pay for one elsewhere. no i did not leave a tip and i will continue to drive to morgan hill for better service. this place was worth a shot but i have learned my lesson. read more

I booked a shampoo, conditioner and a blowout. As a FTM to a 4 month old, I thought it would be nice to finally get my hair done. I get there and the place is very nice. Nora washes my hair and gives a great head massage. She goes to dry my hair and just blow drys it using a diffuser and no product. I ask her if she can use styling tools and she tries but turns out she was not a stylist and only does massages. I decided to end it there. The manager, Quinn I believe, says that the blow out is only shampoo, conditioner and a blow dry. So we had different ideas of what a blow out is. Then she says that I told Nora that I did not want my hair styled, which I thought I said I did not want my hair flat ironed. There was a language barrier so maybe I did not explain myself clear enough. The stylist then comes to finish my hair. I was still hoping for a blowout if possible. No products such as heat protectants were used and she just blow dries my hair with a brush and without really sectioning it well. She straightens my hair using a flat iron. At this point, I did not want to walk out of there with my frizzy, puffy hair (I have thick, curly hair). She does use an oil at the end of the styling treatment. They still charged me the full price for the blowout that I did not receive and then $10 extra for using the flat iron. Quinn also said that the stylist used products other than the oil but I watched the entire process and did not see or feel and products being used. It was not what I wanted or hoped to get and super bummed that my first time actually getting to do some self care turned out like this. I would not recommend going there to get your hair done. read more

I have been a client of Lavender Day Spa for the last 12 years. Mai has been my goto nail tech for several years. I went back again for an appointment and was told when I called that Tammy my regular was unavailable and so she asked if I could schedule with someone else, I said sure. I arrive and the tech looks at my previous nails and thinks i wanted designs again and said she couldn't do that, went off and tried to find someone else to do my nails. I got passed off onto someone else and I think because I was not a planned appointment for her, she rushed my nails because she had another appointment shortly after me. She did everything very quickly and seeming rushed to finish asap, some nails weren't exactly the same length and some shapes I had to ask to be fixed. She only did one coat of polish and forgot to do chrome on one of my nails and I didn't notice until afterward I had left. She just seemed rushed and my nail quality definitely did not meet the amount I paid. Shorty after I was finished she had jumped right into another appointment and overheard her apologizing for being late, therefore I knew that she was doing my nails in a rush before her next appointment. Disappointed this time, and not sure I want to go back until my regular girl comes back :/ read more
