I've been coming here for years... and had not gone in the last year. Yesterday I went for the first time in quite a while and the quality has really gone downhill. The lady who did my pedicure cut my nails down really small when i requested a file down only. I also got a gel manicure and they didn't even bother cleaning off the sides of my skin with nail polish on them and were ok with me leaving like that. I did say something and asked for them to remove it but still had some residue. Also the gel manicure didn't even last me 24hrs. They already started peeling off. The work itself was not the best. Today I had Wendy and Diana do my pedicure and manicure. No acrylics just a simple French manicure. It was heavenly they did a great mini massage! Terrible experience - don't waste your time! I had such a bad experience here. My nails came out super bumpy, and when I told them, they got rude and defensive instead of trying to fix it. I specifically asked the lady not to cut my nails and to only file them, but she cut them anyway. When I said they looked bad, she didn't even ask how she could make it better they just wanted me out of there. The customer service was awful and the quality was just as bad. Tammie was incredible with my hair! Super gentle and did everything I wanted. The hair washing area was incredibly peaceful, with the music and the lighting. The shampoo and conditioner they used smelled super nice and now I'm purchasing my own. My nails are nice, felt pampered and relaxing. I got deluxe gel nails and they are the perfect length. Gave it a chance, won't be going back. Quality of service was poor and their business practice is deceptive. I got a regular polish mani/pedi because I find it's a good baseline for what to expect from a salon and if it sucks I can remove it. Spoiler: I removed it. I saw on their website a regular polish mani/pedi would be $40. I went in as a walk-in. They were not busy, I waited 15 minutes. Their regular nail polish selection is abysmal. The area was dusty and dirty, the polish was limited, and many polishes were stringy, thick and goopy. Others were really runny (this tells me it's had acetone added to the bottle to make it less think and goopy). The service was pushy and rushed. I asked for a basic pedicure, and was asked twice if I wanted additional treatments or scented products added to my foot bath water. Each time I'd ask, "is there an additional cost?" And the answers was always, "yes". The add ons they asked me about ranged from $6-$10. They weren't up front about the costs. There was almost no time spent on my nails. Everything was rushed, I had to ask for my nails to be evened out, and had to file them into a better shape once I got home. No filing of my toenails, sloppy, jagged cutting. To top it all off, they charged me $50. Yup. Not $40 like their website says. I double checked with her that she was charging me for a regular polish mani/pedi, no add ons. She said yes. I told her their website says it's $40. Her response was "we changed it. We changed it a while ago." (...changed it where? Because ya didn't change it on your website.) I told her they need to update it then, that people who haven't been in before would not know that and rely on their website for pricing. Went into Luxury today for a pedicure. No appointment just walk in. No customers. Wendy took me , sat down, started on my pedicure and within about 10 minutes a customer walks in with a scheduled appt. By this time all three employees had a customer . Steven was called all while yelling and arguing. Steven actually addressed me over the phone and ask if i would come back later. Mind you this was not my issue. I was simply a customer. I felt so uncomfortable I ended up leaving. Im familiar with most of the nails shops in the North side of Gilroy. Bad business and horrible communication. Will not be going back. Came here on Saturday evening (4days ago) because I wanted a last minute pedicure and manicure. I paid $94 for a bad job. I was talked into upgrading to a gel pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure itself wasn't bad but it's overpriced compared to other places. The gel manicure was awful! Gel polish was all over cuticles and lumpy. The lady clipped my nails but didn't file or give them any shape. At the end she still asks me if I will leave tip in cash or on the card (baffling... I know). Not a great experience. I went first thing in the morning hoping for quiet and relaxation. I went for a mani/pedi and the staff spent most of the time talking loudly to each other across the salon. The woman who did my pedicure took a really loud call sitting next to me. The work they did was nice. I walked in on time as I had made an appointment. I reminded the lady that I was doing the pamper plan for $105. She started with the pedicure and asked me what smell I wanted. I had to should her their website for her to understand what plan I was doing. This was confusing due to the plan I was doing said I got a Sweet Almond Chocolate pedicure for $45. She then told me to pick a smell and she would charge me $59 for the pedicure. So, she is charging me more for a lesser pedicure. I had to ask for my champagne and snacks. Which I was told they don't have the promised snacks. Then she got my champagne but dropped the cork on the floor, kicked it. Then to my shock she picked it up and put it back in the bottle. When she finished the pedicure, I had to wait 20 minutes for the message person to come in to work. The massage person was wonderful. I will definitely book her again. The only problem is she told me that the package included a 50 minute massage and I could pay $10 more for a 60 minute massage. I chose to do the 60 minute massage and sadly she finished in 50 minutes. It's still charged me for the 60 minutes. So for the Pampered plan that was listed as $105. It ended up costing me $140 with tip. I tipped $14 very disappointing appointments today. read more

I came here to get a full set done for my birthday and right as Thai glued the tips on the power went out... I thought for sure I was going to be turned away with unfinished nails.. to my surprise they wheeled in a small generator and finished everyone's nails. I had come in last so Thai was doing my nails way past closing but he kept smiling and being nice. He's such an amazing artist and he's very friendly. Unfortunately I learned that long nails are not for me and I had been struggling with them. I came back in to ask for them to be removed knowing that it wasn't easy. Thai came in super friendly once again, just to help me out. Wow. Such amazing customer service. He made my nails look gorgeous even with just my regular nail. Boy did I make a huge mistake but not just sticking to gel. By the next day my nails looked cracked and faded. I went back in as I was scheduled to leave on a trip in a day only to be told it's ok, your nail chemical is rejecting the paint. Umm...it doesn't reject other stuff. So dude redid the ones looking faded and cracked by buffing and adding another layer saying it would be back to good and I'd be good. By mid day the next day my nails were back to looking like crap. Where do I start? This place is AMAZING! If you live in Gilroy you know that it's hard to find a nail salon that's actually up to date with the latest trends and that actually does what you request, but this salon has never failed me. It's been a while since I've gotten my nails done (the last salon I went to left them really thin, so I wanted to wait for them to heal and grow back) and as summer has been inching closer I've really been wanting to get them done again. Today my boyfriend gave me money to get my nails finally done and I was so excited, I actually ended up going to another nail salon in town that a friend recommended, but my nails ended up looking awful. After paying and getting into my car I felt like tearing up, I was so excited for my fresh set of nails and they were the complete opposite of what I wanted. I had told the nail tech that he had complete creative control and to do a freestyle set with whatever design he wanted as long as they were pink, but he didn't do anything and just rushed through the appointment and gave me regular pink nails that were shaped weirdly. I came to Luxury Day Spa right after to get them fixed as I've been here before and they would always do a good job, and after being greeted by Steven and asking him if he could fix my nails he happily agreed and sat me down right away with no wait. He got straight to work and shaped my nails so pretty! I told him he could design however he thought would look best and he recommended an ombré effect, afterwards we added a 'M' sticker on my ring finger and I was all set to go. He was quick but focused on the details, and even told me he wanted to make sure he could fix my nails to look beautiful without having me spend more money than what I already had at the previous salon I was at. I really appreciated that and it helped me feel comfortable that I was at a salon that valued integrity and honesty. I was in there for less than 30 minutes, and by the time I came out my mood had completely changed from when I first came in. I went from being super sad about my nails to wanting to show them off to everyone! I FaceTimed my boyfriend to show him the difference and he loved them too lol, it's just so nice to have my nails done again and to feel like my hands look pretty. Thank you so much Steven! I'm going to be coming back here again in the future. If you want beautiful nails and don't want to drive all the way to SJ, come here!!! I went to get the European facial and they convinced me to get the deep facial. I went for it and then the lady asked me to get the upper lip wax . This is what they did to me . It wasn't my first time to get a wax for upper lip , but this is for sure the worst experience I had. My face even had rashes and acne after the facial . I don't have a acne prone skin and it's been a week now and my skin hasn't recovered yet . She poked my skin so much that I had bruises from the extraction. Starting off on the positive, it's one of the few nail salons in this area that actually feels spa-ish --- but it's reflected in their prices. Shared lot w a bunch of other shops in the plaza so it's decently easy to find parking. Also great, the tools they use are sealed n clean. However, I came in for a gel mani and pedi and the chick managed to knick me THREE times on various parts of my fingers bat at least the woman working on my feet did a decent job. sadly, my feet didn't pedicured, more like the kinda cleaned up feeling you get when you do your own at home... just not worth the price. read more

And he filed down one side so hard that it bled. And they're already chipped on day 2. Gel usually lasts 2 weeks for me, so this is very disappointing. So my husband and I on a whim decided to look for a place to get a couples massage and since we live in Gilroy we called a couple places and luxury Day spa had somebody available right away within the hour. So we came in about 20-25 minutes early and they quickly were able to accommodate us and welcome us in. They were so kind and so helpful they showed us around the whole place and offered other options if we wanted to check it out like the spa tub and the sauna which were incredible and we will definitely be doing that next time. So what came with our lavender Day spa couples massage was a 50-minute massage deep tissue, a mani and pedi for both of us. We were so grateful for the work that they did and the great conversations. First time here... And the LAST time! This place is SHADY!!!! I got a quote to have my acrylic nails removed and a manicure for $20. I got a pedicure and so did my daughter those were $25 each. We checked out to pay the total came to $94! The guy that was doing my acrylic nail removal asked me if I wanted my toes and my fingers the same color I said yes. He proceeded to paint my nails with gel polish, I DID NOT REQUEST IT! He did not inform me that it would be an additional charge. Come to find out I was charged $44 for the manicure and the nail removal... An extra $19. I told the man if you wanted to upsell me he should've informed me that it was gonna cost more money. I have to admit the pedicures were great we got a paraffin wax treatment, which was nice. But, I don't appreciate being blindsided with additional charges; instead of being informed. Well... I won't ever be going here again! I have been there multiple times and have always had good service but this time has left me never going back there! The guy who was giving me a pedicure was in a rush for no reason. It was not that busy and plenty of staff to help take care of people. From the second I sat in the chair I felt rushed. I had previous gel on my toes and he was shaving it off with the machine and was rushing through that and scrapped against my cuticles a few times that I had to tell him it hurt, he then proceeded to tell me my nails were too short while filing them down even more and not rounding the edges of them. and let them with sharp edges. He rushed through putting the polish on while only having my toes under the gel light for about 10 seconds. While he was putting the color on he rushed through that and once he did the final coat he didn't even file my toes to get the clear gel off the edges. He put my feet in the wax so quickly all the wax didn't get on the top of my footer was there even enough wax in the bag and went to put scrub on my legs dry with little to almost no water and was scrubbing hard and forcefully. My feet had only been in the wax for maybe 5 minutes and once he was done with my leg scrub he quickly washed my legs and then took the wax off and his nails were not filed because the entire time he polished my toe nails he would dig his nails into my toes and I felt his nails again while he was scrapping off the wax. I barely even got a massage after he washed my legs and put lotion on them, that lasted about 3 minutes and then the pedicure was done. I have had the ladies there before and they are good and take their time but this guy and the guys there I wouldn't have them do any pedicures. There also a lady and her daughter who were next to me and started about 10 minutes before me and when I was done her feet were still in wax. It felt like I went thorough a $20 car wash, in and out, not relaxing or pleasant by any means!!!! They lost a customer today. Went in to get a full set. Was with my boyfriend who stayed the whole time. They treated me like I didn't exist. Left me mid pedicure to start someone else's pedicure. Never came back, I finally asked about her finishing my feet since last thing she said was she'll be right back to do my second coat. I finally asked if she was going to finish and she said I'm waiting on the person who's going to do my manicure anyways. (Who was finishing someone else's manicure). I was surprised she still wasn't going to come back to finish and I started to get upset I was being ignored. (I'm guessing because I look like a young girl, compared to the woman she left me for to work on). Another woman (I'm guessing the manager) got involved telling me she already did my second layer. I couldn't believe what she was saying, I definitely did not get a second coat yet from the other worker and the manager woman put her hand on my leg gripping it saying they always do two coats! Look! It looks like this! And then tried grabbing my hand to paint a coat on my nail! I said "don't do that!" Pulling my hand back. Which she still kept trying to grab my hand and I yelled no! Don't grab me! She finally stopped but I was embarrassed she did this to me, everyone now staring and I started to tear up.. I've been dealing with anxiety and haven't been out of the house much.. I just wanted to leave. I paid for my toes, (still tipping $10), but decided against staying for my manicure. Steven ran to the front trying to get me to stay for the manicure but those horrible women did enough.. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! If I could give these people 0 stars I would. I walked in with my friends to get our nails done for my bachelorette trip & we all got mani pedis with gel. I got no massage at all for my pedicure & we didn't even even get to pick what type of pedicure we wanted. They just do whatever they please and charge you up the ass for it. I got my manicure done after they'd forgotten to do it and as soon as I walked out the doors the paint immediately started chipping. So he goes and does a BS buff on the top and then another crappy coat on top and calls it good. When I walked out again and got into my car, my friends noticed my polish was lifting AGAIN. I go back in and he tells me to sit down at the table area. It was then I noticed that he never even did the prep for my manicure the very first time. He took all the cuticle skin off, filed my nails down, and repainted them. I was so angry to realize he hadn't done this the first time but still decided to charge me $96.00!!! As some of my nails were drying, my pinkie decided to start lifting again. My friend and I mentioned that it could've been the paint that was bad, but he refused and said it was happening because I was talking... long story short I get them "fixed" and come home to one of my nails STILL LIFTING!
