Not having been a customer of nail salons for most of my life I was a little apprehensive about taking my wife's advice that it would be a good thing to have a pedicure. As always I relied on Yelp reviews to make a choice of nail salons. I walked into MK NAIL SPA and was met by the lone person in the business. May was very kind and advised that she could take me as a walk in. The service was prompt and smooth. I was pleased with her technique and the end result. The business was clean and the price was fair. All in all a good experience and I will be back. read more

I've been coming here religiously for years! I've always had issues with my nails lifting and not lasting very long until I found Karen at MK Nails! She is extremely detailed and my nails are literally perfection every time!!! And, Dawn gives a wonderful pedicure! They recently remodeled the salon and it's gorgeous! They serve beverages now, which is an added treat! Trust me, you won't be disappointed! You will need to make an appointment....so, don't just drop in without one. read more

Since moving to Morgan Hill in 2021, I've tried several nail salons, but MK is by far the best and has been my go-to ever since. The salon is clean and relaxing, and everyone there is very kind and talented. I recently switched to builder gel, and Karen's application always looks so natural and flawless. I'm also very particular about how my nails are filed, and she gets it right every single time. Truly a great place. read more

Updating my review, two years ago Karen did a great job. I recently went back for same service gel mani but in 7 days it turned out not that great, and chipped. I told the other nail tech when I was there that my color was too light but she insisted it was fine. Sorry but 2nd time around was not the best outcome :( read more

I've requested multiple times for Karen on the website and she's never done my pedicures or manicures, it's always someone else. The work has been fine though. I'm not sure if they double book themselves just to get clientele but they seem to always run late on appointments. I didn't get sat down til 45 min after my appointment which made me switch from an hour service to 30 min due to my time frame. Disappointing. The prices are also not updated on their website as it in is shop. When I asked why the price difference they said it's ok it's just old menu. Won't be coming back anymore. read more

I've been with MK Nail Spa in Morgan Hill for five years. The atmosphere is relaxing; and the salon is light, bright, and clean. It's a pleasure to be there for my monthly mani-pedi. Karen, the owner, is my stylist; she is meticulous and painstaking in her work, qualities I admire. I had tried several salons before I found MK; none of the others compared to MK. read more

Wow. Just wow. I am absolutely blown away by the experience I am having here today. First of all, they fit me in at the last minute on a busy Friday before Mother's Day. Second, it has been MONTHS since I have had anything done to my nails, so they were looking a little scary. Dawn took care of my pedicure, and she gave me the best massage with a smile on her face the whole time. My gel manicure was efficient, and Karen quickly and expertly filed and cut my nails. Lucy was working on other people, and while I didn't have a direct experience with her, she was so sweet and friendly. Look no further. MK is the place to go. read more

Came in the day before and made an appointment because they were booked up. I came at try appointment time and was greeted and sat down in the massage chair. I was given a menu of services and selected the basic pedicure with gel and a gel manicure. Kathy did both my manicure and pedicure. I was happy with both as Kathy took her time. I normally get cut when the manicurist is doing my cuticles. Kathy was careful and didn't cut me at all. I loved how she was a perfectionist. Overall, this is my new nail salon and definitely a hidden gem in morgan hill. I like how small it was which makes for a relaxing environment. It wasn't loud and you can hear the Hawaiian instrumental music in the background. I will definitely be back! read more

My third time coming here. My first two experiences were great. This shop continues to be clean and I like that they have clients wash their hands before getting any services done. However, when I went today to get my pedicure done, my nail tech made a comment about my uneven toes in Vietnamese and I felt that was very unprofessional. She also added that the color I chose is what old ladies tend to request for. She was telling the owner this, probably thinking I didn't understand Vietnamese, all the while the owner just turning a blind eye to her unprofessionalism. I really wanted to like this place as it is very close to my home but after this experience today, I will not be coming back. I just love how people these days just judge others and talk smack in a different language thinking the people around them don't understand. We live in the bay area where it's so diverse... Being multilingual is not surprising. read more

MK Nail Spa is a gem located in Downtown Morgan Hill. Despite being located downtown, parking is plentiful with a private lot right out front. With its luxurious aesthetically pleasant interior, MK Nail Spa really offers a relaxing spa environment. From the little decor details to the newly furnished additions, this salon surely stands above the average. The interior is clean and quite spacious. The chairs are comfortable yet elegant. The owner, Karen is beyond friendly and accommodating. Her attention to detail and down-to-earth personality makes her an amazing nail technician. She really takes her time and makes sure you're happy with the final product. My nails never chip and last nearly 3-4 weeks. I stumbled across this nail salon while randomly scrolling through yelp and discovered that it's brand new! Yesterday, January 1st, was their soft opening and today, January 2nd, was their grand opening. Scheduling an appointment was super easy. I did it through yelp. The owner responded throughout the day really quickly. It would probably be better to call, though. The shop is kind of small but spacious. There are 4 pedicure stations and 4 manicure stations. They use the disposable wrap in the pedicure tubs + sterile equipment. I ended up going with the classic manicure and pedicure which are normally $20 and $25, respectively. However, they are doing a grand opening deal where services are 25% off. Throughout my time here, I felt very valued & probably the most special I've ever felt at a nail salon. I was offered water and tea and even a slice of pizza towards . While the techs where doing my nails, they were very friendly and constantly making sure I was satisfied, whether about the water temperature, length/shape of my nails, massage depth, and # of coats. Based on my experience today, I would definitely return and you should check them out. read more

Karen and her staff do amazing nails!! I've been going here for a couple of months and it's just the best place in town. Very consistently great nails too. When my normally dip powder nails in powder 20 we're getting boring Karen turned me on to buildable gel. And WOW it was- best set of nails I've ever had!! Super happy with the service-- they always go the extra mile. They girls are always friendly and go the extra mile on massages and special lil things like designs and matching pictures you bring in. Today's buildable gel nails though are a hot hit!! I love them and they are exactly what I wanted!! They're natural looking, tough, and so so light we read more

First time visiting and I will absolutely be back. After looking for a great nail spot in the Gilroy/MH area and visiting a few others that were always good but just missing that *something... MK has it. Tracy did a phenomenal job and was helpful, attentive to detail, patient and friendly. It's been a good while since I went to get a mani pedi so my nails needed some *help*. I have terrible cuticles and dishpan hands so she worked a miracle on my stubs of nails. I attached a pic but don't judge. With Covid and kids and pets I wash my hands like 500 times a day. So glad I decided to try MK. They did a great job and I was so happy with the whole experience. read more

I decided to give this nail salon a try today due to the yelp reviews. Big mistake. I had a 12pm appt and at 12:30 I walked out because I had not been helped and had not been told that I would have to wait regardless of having an appointment. At 12:15 I was told the tech just needed to polish someone's nails and then would help me. At 12:30 she was not done. Small hole in the wall establishment and if i would have visited them before making an appointment, I would not have booked with them. Good news is that it forced me down the street to VyVy nails and was accepted immediately as a walk in, lower prices than MK and Dan did an excellent job. read more

This was my first time trying builder/liquid gel, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but they felt thicker than I anticipated, especially underneath the nail, which made them look a bit bulky. I also chose an almond shape, and I think that may have contributed to the nails looking shorter or more "stubby" than I had in mind. I got a French tip design, which looked really pretty at first, but unfortunately it chipped the very next day. I went back and they fixed it for free, which I appreciated, but it ended up chipping again shortly after. One thing that stood out to me was the communication around cuticle care. I had two technicians--one for my pedicure and one for my manicure. During my pedicure, my cuticles were trimmed without being discussed beforehand, so I assumed it was part of the service. However, during my manicure, I was told that cuticle trimming would be an additional $10. This felt a bit confusing and inconsistent, especially since I wasn't asked beforehand during my pedicure. In my experience, cuticle care is usually included in a manicure or at least clearly communicated before the service is done, so this caught me off guard. I don't want to be too harsh because they were kind and did try to make things right, but I do think there's room for improvement when it comes to communication, consistency, and the overall durability and finish of the nails. Overall, I've consistently had good experiences with pedicures here, but I'm a little unsure about returning for builder gel specifically. (Pictures attached for reference)

I opted for the Mojito Tropical Manicure $60 & the Sunshine Delight Pedicure $62. I also got gel polish $15 & French tip $10, nail design for my two ring finger nails was $10. My daughter had the Lemon Pedicure $37. The place was nice and smelled good inside. The decor gave a relaxing floral vibe. The staff were all very nice. We enjoyed our services very much. The polish and designs came out so cute and the massages and foot scrubs were nice. I felt so pampered, it was very much needed. I liked the upfront explanation of the costs so I didn't leave confused or anything. I will definitely come back the next time I need my nails done.

I had a wonderful experience at MK Nail Spa today! I got a manicure and pedicure with a natural color polish, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Karen and Dawn did an amazing job. They were professional, detail-oriented, and made sure everything looked perfect. The hand and foot massage was incredibly relaxing and one of the best parts of the experience. I was so impressed with their service that I decided to book monthly appointments and will definitely be coming back for the same treatment. Highly recommend MK Nail Spa if you're looking for beautiful nails and outstanding customer service! read more

I asked for the prices ( $12 for basic mani, $20 for a pedi and $6 extra for pretty gem stones the nice woman put on my toe nails), then made an appointment....for that day...just two hours later. I got such wonderful service. One was working on my toes while the other worked on my hands. All while I sat in a relaxing massage chair. They both spent so long, making sure everything was just right, checking every so often to make sure I liked it so far. Just want to throw in, this all came with a 20 minute foot and leg massage, 5-10 minutes of hot rocks all over your feet and legs, the manicurist also massaged my hands and lower arms for about 10 minutes. There was also excess acrylic left underneath several nails that wasn't cleaned up, making them look and feel unfinished. For $70, I expected much better attention to detail and shouldn't have had to fix my nails at home. The pedicure was good, but I was disappointed with the acrylic service.

I had to ask a total of 3 TIMES for a refund because the 3 people working there kept asking me what I wanted? They weren't listening to me and proceeded to ask if I wanted to get it fixed. I then took off my sock to show them the results of what had happened and they proceeded to say, "We can't give you a refund. That's YOUR fault." She didn't cut down my nails like I asked her to and she only filed it. She didn't ask what nail shape I wanted and did an oval shape, I told her I wanted square shape and she was rude about it and rushed through the filing leaving the nails uneven.
