I have tried many different types of nail salons throughout Gilroy and Morgan hill, and this place exceeded all my expectations. I wish I had a photo of my first nail set when I got them done last month but they got me the most compliments. I love doing cateye for my nails and the first time I got them done with the pink cateye here, they were absolutely gorgeous. I didn't have an appointment but they seated me immediately and my fill only came out to $50 which is honestly such a steal. And the lady who did my nails (I wish I got her name) did my nails so fast and with precision, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Then I came yesterday with an appointment with Leo because I saw that he does design and let me just say, he was so attentive of my needs and made sure that I was okay throughout the whole process. And let me just tell you, im terrified of letting anybody do design on my nails due to bad experiences in the past but Leo changed that fear. My nails look so cute and it's exactly what I wanted and more because he tried a new cateye technique and it is so cute! The vibe in the area is also good too as everybody there was so sweet and they also have snacks available. I am now recommending this place to everybody I know and I'll definitely be coming back. I'm disabled and came in today based on a personal recommendation. Pedicure Appt was supposed to be with Michelle. Yet was handled by another female manicurist who didn't bother telling me her name, nor did she have on a name tag. Her attitude was very sullen and she seemed unhappy throughout the entire pedicure appointment. She never cracked a smile. I asked for regular color based on the gel nail boards. (#792 ) which to me was supposed to be light pinkish red. Apparently the polish used was old and dry & smudged a great deal. The nail manicurist didn't bother to mention that they using old nail polish instead used two coats with a top coat. Which failed to dry adequately & peeled off less than one hour later. My $45 pedicure is ruined! Entirely wasted my money because pedicure ruined by not allowing it to dry properly before staff rushed me out of shop. I will NOT BE RETURNING AT ALL!! The amt should be refunded immediately as the nail polish peeled & scraped off less than one hr after leaving! Had to pay another reputable salon to have it redone! read more

The tech who did my set has horrible customer service. I was gaslit the entire time. Constantly told I didn't want what I asked for. Kept trying to get me to change the design. I asked for clear tips/acrylic. I was told multiple times they didn't have that. Finally another person came up and told me they found them. The tech was annoyed that the other person "found" them. After the tips were on I told her that 2 were not straight, thinking it's best to fix before acrylic. She said she'd fix when she filed. After filing I told her they were still not straight. She grabbed the file and did one more pass. I wanted cat eye polish on the nail bed with matching transparent polish. It looked fine after everything was done and tons of cuticle oil on them. Not what I envisioned but fine. I went to pay and she asked if I was paying cash. I said no, paying with my card. She aggressively responded with "you have cash for tip, right?!" I said no just my card. She then says "you'll add tip to card!" Put-off by the conversation, I said yes. Told her the amount. Paid and left. When I got home washed my hands to reveal Lumpy polish, the transparent polish had bubbles and streaks. Acrylic all over my fingers and cuticles. I went back the next morning explained to another gentleman that I was unhappy and the issues. he said he would fix them. I sat down and the same lady came back to do it, annoyed that I was back. I asked her just to do a solid coat of the cat eye polish I used the day before. I went to leave and she said it was $40 for the service. I asked her why I was being charged again for fixing the bad work from she did yesterday. She replied with I'll take $5 off. I pulled out my card and she demanded the tip amount. Last time I was there one of the ladies there held my card in her hand until I acknowledged that I was going to tip the person who did my nails. I didn't include it on the price I paid with my card and she needed to know I had cash to tip or something. Tipping is OPTIONAL. This place is infested with roaches. I came with my mother to get a pedicure and manicure as we were getting our pedicures done we both noticed small roaches in the cart where the tools are! We immediately told them and they acted like nothing the man who was doing my pedicure flicked the roach off the cart and stomped on it with his shoe. They continued to work on our pedicures like nothing. Spoke in their language didn't say anything to us about that situation! To top it off they did a horrible job on our pedicures and manicures didn't even put lotion or oil nothing on my mothers manicure! Had my gel nails done on Sunday by Kevin, found one nail chipped ( not my nail but the nail color) on Thursday. I went back ask for repair, he cut the nail short to make the chipped went away, so that specific nail looks so short. During the color process, he never wait for the LUV light off to finished the cured, I told him that light it's not done yet, he says it's okay. I don't know of that's the reason why color came off so fast. So he cut my nail short, 2 days later, same nail chipped again. Should I go back??? Let him cut even more shorter? Charged extra for length and shape. Never been to a nail salon that does this. Getting charged $5 extra for French is normal, but $5 extra for length and $20 extra for coffin shape. Thought this was my new favorite spot until this. Worst part is that this was my 15 year old they charged without asking me or telling her and I was with her. $75 for her full set!!!! I don't agree with this type of business. They were overly pushy with upselling the pedicure as well, when I told them 3 times what I wanted they still tried to upsell my daughter even though I told them what we wanted. Daughter's pedicure paint wasn't cleanly painted. Her pedicure bowl was filled up with bubbles. I've never seen that before. Nobody else had bubbles hoping it wasn't cleaning solution. Guy that did my daughter's acrylics were popping them off forcefully and quick, she kept saying ouch and pulling away and he looked at her and said stop looking at me talk to your mom. Her Nails were beautiful but charging a kid without getting the parents consent for pricing or telling the her how much extra it will cost is sketchy. Well... what can I say, this USE to be my favorite nail spot. Last month got my nails done, they look crooked, after I asked the young man to fix them he couldn't. I was in time crunch I had a wedding to get to, I thought it was weird he'd apply the fill before trimming the length. I've never (in 20 yrs of having my nails done) had them done that way, the nails looked like the were pointing up. Truly like coming here to get my mani and Pedi. Michelle is awesome- so is Kevin. My ultimate fav is Tina. I only say their names because they are the ones who have worked on my hands and feet. I got here at my appointment time, the man who is in charge of facilitating clients with nail artists told me to have a seat. I waited for 20 mins. During my 20 minute wait, he sat 2 other clients, who did not have an appointment time before me. I asked him why he sat them before me and he said "Oops sorry." I'm having one of my events going on this weekend and knew I'm not gonna have a time for my nails to do it by myself so.. by the coincidence I was driving by and noticed Royal Nails Spa open sign, and.. decided to give it a try - since I moved to Gilroy I never went to any nails saloons here, so I had no idea what to expect! It was around 10am (I found out later on they are open since 9:30) and the place was already very busy!! Ok, let's ask at least what time they are available for simple pedi - it appeared they have a staff ready to go right away!! Hats off and +1 star right here!! Daisy - I hope I wrote her name correctly - took care of me after just one minute waiting! She provided the pricing list and colors to choose! And let me tell you - they have a looooot of colors of polish nails!! And not just cheap ones!! Nope!! No OBI which would last just few days (at least for me ) or other "no name" ones!! They prefer DND which is the very well know brand for the quality and long lasting colors!! And just in case - I chose the regular pedi, not a gel one or acrylic! (next star going here for having a choice and not being forced to the more expensive service). Ok, their "regular" pedi I chose included the stone massage and Daisy took her all efforts to make me comfortable and happy overall!! I even didn't notice when she cut my cuticles!! Ok, I was too busy relaxing during my chair massage and having such awesome conversation with one of the regular customers and her brother :) (another star added!) My pedi was done really quick, but Daisy didn't forget about anything! She scrub my feet with her big smile seeing my giggles and being very careful! I loved that!! She was extremely patient and careful!! This is what I was looking for - fast service with quality in the same time!! (OMG this deserves at least 2 stars!!) You can pay using your credit card or cash - I decided to give them a cash, but had no bills with me, so they let me to go to my bank across the street and get the cash! Hat's off again! And tons of stars here!! I took a pics when I got home - perfect color (exactly what I expected), cut perfectly made with the length I asked for, extremely friendly staff - maybe not everyone can speak perfect English, but.. I don't care (I'm Polish :D ) - Daisy was extremely kind and so professional and I had no issues to understand her!! (neither any other customers I've met in the salon had any trouble in communicating with other staff!). Love the experience and such service - top notch!! I've tried this place three times now and each time I'm disappointed. This last time completely ruined my experience. The nail tech was breathing down my neck asking how I was going to tip her before she even told me how much the service was. I told her I didn't have cash and she handed me the Venmo card which totally rubbed me the wrong way. I always tip and fairly, but tipping is not required especially for a service you were less than pleased with! I hate to do this and have been thinking about this for the last 3 days, but I am so upset. Let's begin with when I walked into the business. It was Saturday 6:14pm and they close at 7pm. There was a woman in the front that looked at me like "what the heck do you want" and proceeded to say to me "yes, can I help you?" with an attitude. That already was a red flag, but I politely asked if it was still possible to get a gel manicure and pedicure. The woman clearly wanted to say no and literally started whining to some coworkers. Another woman in back said yes and was very polite. The manicure and pedicure were RUSHED to say the least. My cuticle wasn't properly cleaned especially on my hands. Rude lady was the one that did my manicure and just pushed my cuticle back. I only stayed because I had a wedding the next day and was desperate to get something done. The pedicure lady was nice and tried to establish a convo with me, but there was little clean up on my feet and cuticle as well. My feet were rougher than when I came in. I paid, tipped and left. Not 3 hours later the gel polish (which is supposed to last 2-3 weeks) started to come off. Honestly, it's sad because they were a great spot before the pandemic. I made an apt for 9:30am when I arrived it was super busy, they ended up taking me in 9:50am (what's the purpose of making an appointment???) Ehh. Ive been here once before and the experience was worth coming back for buuuuuttt Today I went in and asked for a manicure with a new acrylic set. I wanted pink and white ombré. The nail tech told me it would be 50. I haven't had my nails done in about three months since having a baby so my nails needed a good cleaning. Unfortunately all I got was a new set, not a manicure. My fingers weren't soaked, my nail beds weren't cleaned, my cuticles untouched. I sat down, he started measuring the tips, applied the powder and that was that. This was my first visit here and my last. I requested a Dip Powder Set. Henry was my manicurist/technician. This was my second time having this type of service. I did not know that there is colored powder. My first time was white/natural. The manicurist used organic nail polish. Halfway through the process, right before he was going to add the powder to my nails, he informed me that the powder was colored. Upon him opening that powder container I realized how bright the color was. I then decided to change my color choice. He applied the powder three times, then added some type of topcoat/activator. Then he proceeded to file my nails. Once he finished filing my nails, he applied a special top coat. The top code change the entire color/look of my nails. My nails ended up being a lot darker than I wanted. It would've been helpful if he would've explained the process and let me know if the paint topcoat will change the color. Then I would have stayed with my first choice, that actually somewhat matched my pedicure. I had to go to another nail salon to get my toenails painted, A similar shade. I was recommended yo try this place out. I went during a heat wave in June , mid-week around 2pm. I walked in without an appointment . I was greeted fast and asked what service I wanted - pedicure. They had roughly 10-13 workers there - all busy doing clients. I was asked to take a seat and wait - no biggie. There was one other Pierson who was waiting before me. Within 10 minutes I was sitting in a pedicure chair. Cleanness - I was happy to see that they line the pedicure basins with plastic for every use. The workers also wear gloves to protect there hands. Fumes - like I said I went during a heat wave so the door of the place was closed due to the air conditioning. The smell was beyond strong of chemicals and nail polish. The smell was enough to make you feel different. The service - the team was nice, courteous and did a good job on my feet. The nail polish i has done, however, I don't think was given a final tip coat. Hours after I had them painted both big toe nails got messed up when my laundry basket touched my toe. I fixed it myself and put my own top. Oat and problem was solved. There is a private parking lot with ample space. The menu of service is interesting as you can pick and choose how robust of a service you want from basic to the works with free mimosas. Price for a pedi ranged from $20-$45 depending on the package you selected. read more

I really don't want to give this nail salon 1 star since I've had good services in the past (would've given them at least 3), but man they messed up big time on my last visit. I normally just stick with a gel manicure, but one day I decided to try the dip powder. From what I was told it lasts longer than a regular gel manicure and it's pretty much what it says it is, dip powder. They'll dip your finger in a powder and then put the polish on after. My manicurist was one of the males that works there (I wish I got his name). I was a little bit confused when he dipped my finger in a powder but then added some weird paste-like substance on top of that. I figured that's what the whole process is so I just went with it. For it being my first time getting that service done, I thought he did a good job. But here's why they get 2 stars... I return to the salon a little bit over 3 weeks after I got that dip powder manicure. The color was still there , it was just that my nails were growing out. I told the lady that greeted me that I just wanted to take the polish off. She looked at my nails and to me it seemed like she didn't know what was on it. She was talking to another lady to figure out what was put on my nails. I told her it was the dip powder but she still seemed as if it wasn't that. She priced me at $25 to take it off. As she was shaving off the color, she pointed out a discoloration on one of my nails. At first I thought it was a bruise, but then she started shaving the color off more and realized my nail was GREEN!!! She asked me if that was there before I got my nails done, I told her no! I explained to her that I got my nails done there and that a male had done it. She asked me if it's the guy that sits at this table and pointed it out, and I said yes. I asked her why my nail was green and she said water must've got in between. Totally unacceptable! She then started talking to her coworker in Vietnamese. It was actually hard for her to take it off with just the machine to shave it down. She had to pull out her fake nail container and take one of the fake nails and try to slip it underneath that paste-like substance to pop it off. It was uncomfortable! Once she got most of it off (I honestly don't believe she took it all off because my nails are a bit bumpy) She gave me a really bad manicure. At first my nails were round but I told her to make them square. My nails were uneven! She cut one of my nails too short and didn't bother fixing the rest to make them even. At this point, I was just annoyed and wanted to leave. Pretty disappointed. Most likely not going to come back. read more
