At 1:00 ON THE DOT he knocked on the door, right on time (I hate waiting around for people). **I feel really bad but there was another great service tech there as well whose name I can't for the life of me remember, sorry!!** We talked briefly about what needed to be rekeyed/replaced, I appreciated that he didn't pressure me into making any changes/upgrades that I didn't feel comfortable with. For example, he ended up replacing the deadbolt on the front door in my choice of silver, but since the old handle down below was a nasty gold color, he told me where to look in order to replace that part, and even showed me how to take the old one off and install the new one when I get it (I would have had no clue). I came home after work at 6:30 p.m. with bags of groceries and a 7-year old. It was dark and we were locked out because I had removed the child-protector door knob, and unconsciously locked the door for which I have no key. I got on yelp and called Non-Stop. Adam was at our place in 20 minutes. He was really personable (my kid loved him) and he persevered to open up a super difficult door. He eventually had to replace the knob but didn't charge extra for the time. PLUS, when the lock was sticking a couple days later, he came out and fixed it. Very sweet, competent and honest guy. I needed to get all my locks rekeyed after moving into a new home in San Ramon. Ethan arrived on time. He was very efficient in getting everything taken care of. He even fixed some small issues on my front door lock without charging extra. Very quick response from Quick Key. I needed my house re-keyed immediately and Udi came out same day and was able to re-key all of the locks and produce quite a few copies in about 30 minutes. Great, fast work and he was no BS, no nonsense which I appreciated. Excellent service! Called after hours for help with a lockout situation. Their lockout service was backlogged but Ethan offered to come by within the hour, which he did and texted me prior to arrival. The condition of the jammed lock was challenging and Ethan tried different things to fix it. He didn't just give up after a try or two and kept at it until he found at least a temporary solution. He even offered to come by at a later time to completely fix the lock. When I was looking for a locksmith locally that was highly rated, I found Quick Key here on Yelp. I called and left a message on a Saturday afternoon and, lo and behold, I got a call back that evening from the owner. He said someone could come out on Sunday and that there would be no extra charge because it was a weekend. I gladly accepted! I wanted to get the job done and they were happy to oblige me. Adam came and assessed my situation. He had all but one part he needed so he offered to go back to the shop and then come back (on a Sunday afternoon, mind you.) I felt he was trustworthy and I also wanted to pay him for his service visit (which is $45) so I paid him for the entire job in advance and we agreed he'd come back on the following day which is a holiday for many. He called first thing in the morning, came and worked on my job, finished it, and all is well. He did a great job. I needed two locks completely changed out and replaced and three locks rekeyed. I told him I thought it was too much money given what he did and the time he spent at my house. He was argumentative from the moment we started talking about it.
