I made an appt for 12:30 pm on Monday. Got there 10 minutes to allow for check in time Lobby was overflowing with people. Announcement board said serving 1 with 33 waiting in lobby. Most people had a pre scheduled appt and had been waiting over 1 1/2 hrs past their appt time. Guess quest can't figure out that they have an appt issue. I received no text messages indicating appts were running late. They do not seem at all concerned about people's time. I only have a one star for this review because at least the kiosk was working for the check in process. read more

One would think with so many negative reviews, Quest's poor front end customer service would have been addressed. But since Quest Diagnostics is owned By institutional and mutual fund SHAREHOLDERS, you won't see any responses one way or the other. Shareholders only care about their bottom line, the powerful $. We ARE only a number to them. Some years back was the last time my son and I went there in person for lab work. My son requires regular labs for his issues, he is physically disabled and utilizes a power wheelchair. We had been visiting Quest for years prior to this day and noticed their scheduling skills began decline seriously and peaked at this last visit. We did not have an appointment which I don't think matters today whether you have one or not when it comes to wait times. We sat there as walk-ins for three hours. A mobile phlebotomist happened to be there (who also had to wait to drop off samples), and told us about the mobile phlebotomy services. We've been using mobile phlebotomists for years now. I'm making this comment today as I had to go in to pick up a specimen sample kit that was ordered by my son's physician. I thought that since it was requested via the primary care entity, and they did have the request, it would be waiting for me to pick up and go. NOPE. I had to sign in at the kiosk as if I had to do a blood draw and wait to be fit in amongst those with appointments. Not happening. I'll just make our medical advocate aware of the situation. I would highly recommend anyone needing to do regular blood draws, and even those who don't, to look into a mobile phlebotomy service's. They are in and out within five minutes, accept most insurances, affordable if they don't take insurance, highly skilled, they drop off the samples to the lab, and everyone gets the results, me included. The only way one could make a difference to try to get things changed in this instance is to hit the shareholders in the pocket..... read more

This place is straight out of August 2020 when Covid was in full swing. Despite the president stating "Covid is over and here to stay" and the abolishment of mask mandates, this place still has the waiting room at social distancing protocols and still requires you to wear a mask. Made an appt for 1040. We were almost 10 mins late, our own fault. Signed in electronically in clinic, and was called in less than 10 minutes. Lucy was our phlebotomist today. The blood draw was for my 3 year old. She was so calm and was so sweet. She took her time and explained each step to my little one which I think definitely helped in keeping him calm. First of all I made an appt for a location. They moved the building so I didn't know where to go. You can't call them because it only says this location is down. WTF!!!! After I finally asked around I found it and after driving around 20 min I was late and couldn't sign in. There is NO receptionist at all! I miss the good days when this center was staffed with friendly people and you can walk in and get your lab work done. Now everything is electronic and you can only be seen if you schedule an appointment weeks out. Center is understaffed and not as friendly as they used to be. I'm going to have to go with 4 stars... I feel a lot of the comments are 100% correct however I don't feel it is all of quests fault. So I got here early, 525 at which I was the third person here. By 0600 when they have opened it was a line of about 10. They have kiosks to get people checked in, I don't see a problem with this as you get to wait sitting down. Also you know your place in line. When you head up to the counter to get verified that is when the take care of your case and labs. It takes a bit of time. People have to understand how many times they have to triple check main items. They went through all of the people by 640. People still keep coming in. So you can see where the backlog comes from. They have two staff from what I can see, one to draw and one to check in. I believe that both end up drawing after a good portion of the people are checked in. The staff was friendly and professional and like many guys I hate needles. In the past they have done a great job with the draw and honestly I believe that it is an issue with more people needing labs than anything else. The staff was not on their phones, but working constantly and methodically to take care of everyone. read more

Terrible. Got there at 3:25 for a walk in blood test to see if I was actually pregnant and it was only one other person and myself there. I Believe I had a miscarriage last week so just wanted to verify. Sat there for 30 mins only for a male employee to come and say 30 mins later that they couldn't draw blood. This place is a joke. I came on Friday as a walk-in, registered on their kiosk, and elected to wait for them to text me when it was my turn. My estimated wait time was 10 minutes; after over an hour, I went inside to check. Even though I'd received a text confirming that I'd been checked-in for the queue, my name had disappeared. They had no record of me being there. I was advised to "come back tomorrow." Dutifully, I woke up early the next morning to be first in line. After waiting in the cold for 30 minutes, a woman came out and informed me - and the large line of people who had assembled behind me - that they don't take walk-ins on Saturday. Many of us were incredulous, with one woman indicating that she had been a walk-in many other Saturdays (including last weekend). The employee said that she *might* be able to squeeze us in if any of the appointments were no-shows, so we continued to wait in hopes that would work. Five minutes later, she came out to announce that even that would not be possible, and that we should all go home. Let me be clear: there were NO signs indicating the Saturday walk-in policy anywhere, including on their website. I'm now left to wait until Monday, which is scary: I was depending on getting my medication, (which is based on my blood work) by Monday or Tuesday. I'll now be waiting at least a few more days for my meds, which is likely to make me very sick and unable to function well in the week leading up to Christmas. Quest Diagnostics should be ashamed. This location is literally awful. Appointments mean nothing so plan to wait at least an hour and a half from your appointment time to get in. There is no one working the front desk, the staff is so unhelpful and they just ignore everyone trying to ask questions. If you're a walk in, don't even bother waiting you're just wasting your time. If you can I would go to literally any other location I've been here 4 times and it's been an awful experience every time. They're so understaffed here for the amount of appointments they offer it's insane. read more

Got a text reminder from Quest reminding me how easy it was to check in with my phone. Tried to use that to check in, no appointment found. It is mid morning and they are already 5 people behind their scheduled times. I waited more. Over an hour later the waiting room filled more. I decided to call Westpak Labs in Murrieta. I tried making an appt because I was given this lab on Friday to get my draw on Monday. No appts, but was here right when they opened at 6. Waited for hours. I don't get why you don't have the ability to accommodate appts and walk in's in a decent time. I usually always walk into the Hancock one and walk out within 20 minutes. One way to detect a good business is their customer care. This particular group of individuals are obviously not caring towards their patients. They need more training in dealing with patients. It feels like they could care less and they hate their job. Please don't talk down to me and treat me like I don't matter. It really could be helped with a receptionist at the front to field questions and move things along. The technicians are perhaps overworked making them seem angry. A smile upon greeting your patients would be very nice. No one smiles and when you ask a question you get an eye roll. I tried to get an appointment but not one appointment available so by doing a walk-in you are already on their s list. Wait your turn and your turn ends up being two hours to pick up a specimen cup. Upon turning in the specimen will I be treated this way again? I really don't like the treatment for not having an appointment even though there were no appointments to be had. Extremely easy, in and out blood draw. I got there a few minutes after 6am with no appointment. Check in was quick and easy, as was the blood draw process. I didn't catch her name, but she wears darker tinted transition-type glasses....she is so pleasant and friendly. That type of character and demeanor really help when you're at the lab, which is not the most favorite place to be for most. She was very accurate and gentle. Quest lab needs to get their act together. No one is at the front desk, questions seem to be a problem for ANYONE to answer. I have a stat order, made an appointment yet I cannot get in for the important test I need. They need a code but I did not get a code from your online appointment system. The online appointment system is extremely difficult to maneuver! Please make it easier. If I had known how hard it is I would be I would have gone elsewhere. Anna did our 4yo blood draw today and she was FANTASTIC. We were a bit tense unsure of how our daughter would react. But Anna's calm and friendly demeanor had all 3 of us relaxed and calm. We brought headphones and her sleep mask to distract her and she only whimpered slightly when the blood draw began. NO tears whatsoever. Anna did a great job explaining everything she was doing and needed us to do. She was upbeat and positive which kept us all feeling the same. Coming from horrible experiences at Kaiser with my oldest, I know how traumatic a young child getting their blood drawn can be for everyone involved. The experience at Quest today exceeded my expectations and ensured my little one does not have a negative memory of the lab. THANK YOU, Anna! Also, we were about 10 min late for our appointment but were still called within 10-15 min of our arrival time. The place was packed and many were definitely unhappy with the wait time (but honestly, they were Saturday walk-in's... what did they really expect??) My only complaints would be that they did not have their trademarked "Quiggles" available to help numb the pinch and distract the pain from our daughter. It's advertised on their site but doesn't show which locations have it. Not to mention there aren't any telephone numbers to call and speak with a live person WHATSOEVER. That fact alone made me want to request an different lab. I had to physically walk into the clinic on a day prior to our appointment to ask if they had Quiggles. Those few negative bits were quickly forgotten when we left this morning after a wonderful experience thanks to Anna. She was also the one at the desk who smiled warmly and greeted everyone to help guide them through the process. Go to this lab at your own risk The phlebotomist stuck my arm WRONGLY It hurt real bad going into the middle part of my arm for to draw blood and deep. It was real red for a few days after and very sore. Now after 4 weeks I cannot bend that arm to put anything into my mouth. They are using new people who are not trained well and not experienced enough obviously. I dont think my arm will recover. Dr said he didnt think he could do anything about it. .when i recently asked for help with this other one happened to me before , 4-5 years ago. That wound by a phlebotomist with kaiser caused that one and it never had healed, it hurts when I use it all the time, 5 years later !!! Fluid is surrounding the deep wound. I had an ultra sound done. I had a ultra sound done on it. They said fluid was in the arm. But nothing was done to help me. every day.... Its still messed up. So now even after I warned the current phlebotomist about that incident she just ignored me and stuck me wrong. Screwed me up worse. I would put NO STARS but cant start a review on here without hitting a star. Do not let this place ruin YOUR life. I cannot use my left arm. !!! read more

The live wait time on their television screen is inaccurate. Your name will disappear from that screen once the front desk person talks to you not when you are called back for labs. When I arrived, the TV screen said my wait time would be 7 minutes, however I've been here for over 35 minutes and haven't been called back yet. Witnessed staff telling people the appointments wait in the car so while it looks not busy they are actually swamped. 40 minutes four staff members and not one walk in person was seen or spoken too. If there was a zero rating I'd give it to them. A late 70 or 80 year old couple "walked in" as walk ins are available. These clowns don't have walk-ins.
