    this place is way faster than the antioch quest diagnostics. Came here to do drug test and they took me in right away and was out like that!

The person who received my call was very pleasant and nice. I was able to schedule an appointment at my home for the blood draw the following morning. The person who I spoke with, Bernadeth, explained the blood draw procedure and told me she would be at my house at 8 AM the following day The following day I received a text from Bernadeth telling me that she was on her way. Bernadeth arrived at my house a little early and messaged me if it was OK to do the blood draw now. I told her it was fine. I opened the door and was met by Bernadeth who was dressed appropriately and in fresh scrubs. Bernadeth presented me with her business card and politely asked if she could come in. She entered my house and asked me if there was a place I felt comfortable for the blood draw. I directed her to my kitchen. Bernadeth was very professional, put on rubber gloves, laid out a sterile pad on my kitchen table, and explained the procedure to me. Bernadeth found a vein she liked and carefully cleansed the area where the needle was to enter my vein. Bernadeth's skill in placement of the needle was fantastic and I didn't even feel the poke nor any pain at all! After the draw, Bernadeth placed the needle in a sharps container, gathered all the equipment she had used for the blood draw, and put them into a plastic bag. Bernadeth explained the procedure for the results, thanked me, and left my house. I would like to pass on that the level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and sanitation and safety practices were greater than I expected. The in-home service was so convenient for me and the cost was extremely fair compared to if I had to travel to a clinic for a blood draw. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Lay Lab for any blood draw procedures you may need!

She has demonstrated the skill to not only complete the blood draw, but to do so without causing pain and panic to my mother. Additionally, she works with my schedule to ensure we get our labs done at a time that is convenient for my mother and I. Bernadeth is compassionate and is an excellent phlebotomist. She will always be trusted in my home and with my loved ones.

As a pregnant patient, I had a fasted draw at 1:45PM because all of their morning appointments were taken for weeks out. They got me in at 2:45pm and it was like being herded like cattle - called up a handful of names and brought us inside to wait in a line for a room My phlebotomist was kind, but felt very inexperienced. When she saw how many vials she needed to fill, she got some one else to double check which did not make me feel comfortable. She missed my vein for at least 2-3 minutes and after expressing it was very painful, I had to have her remove it and ended up leaving because the pain radiates up my entire arm. It was one do the worst bloodwork experiences I've had. I've never had issues with my veins and I've even had an IV put in during transit! Esp being pregnant and having to fast for so long, on top of them not getting me in for another hour after, it was very hard to stomach. I decided to use GetLabs and pay the extra money for a phlebotomist to come to my home, which was a much better experience.

Whether she is drawing my blood or handling my paperwork, she is consistently kind, patient, professional, and excellent at what she does. That means a lot to me, especially because I often have a lot of tests, which can feel overwhelming. My two stars are just two of the five and more stars deserved by the hard working, patient staff members working this last Saturday, March 14 morning at this way understaffed location. They deserve five stars for their courage and courtesy. The gentleman at the front desk was, you could sense, way overworked, but holding up well despite all that, and maintaining his courteous, patient self. Thank you, sir! I want to ESPECIALLY commend PATRICE, my technician (I so hope I remembered her name correctly), for her professionalism and her caring interest in her patients. While drawing my blood, Patrice inquired about my amount of daily water intake, I think because my veins are small and difficult to see well. And she proceeded to discuss with me ways to get enough water each day. She was kind, cheerful and interested in me as her patient. This kind of caring is rare. Her draw was also painless. Now back to Labcorp issues. My husband and I have been using this lab for a long time, starting with its location within the hospital building. We have watched it fall off a cliff as the corporation has become way understaffed. Last year, with an appointment, I waited forty five minutes on a Saturday morning for my fasting labs. Yesterday I had a 9:30 a.m. appointment. I got there at 9:15, did my sign in from the car by their new texting sign in system, and got texted right away to come up to the desk inside . My heart rose! The lab lobby was just jammed with patients. My heart sank. But I got called for desk sign in immediately! My heart rose! I did about five more minutes of sign in at the desk, and then got called for my draws within only about five minutes (interestingly, along with several other patients.) My heart sang! I was hopeful! BUT THEN, I waited for a full half hour in the blood draw room. My heart and my hopes for a Labcorp revival plummeted! My husband had a 9:35 a.m. appointment, and waited in total, about 40 minutes to get tested. It would appear that Labcorp is trying to streamline patient processing time by putting in new, automated patient sign in methods, and perhaps changing their patient call in process (8 patients called in at once?) But without enough staff it's pretty useless, besides adding to our overly robotic life experience. There have been many signs of employee burnout over the past year or two at the desk, as well. I truly feel for anyone trying to work for Labcorp these days. One would think that somehow Labcorp could lower their profit goals just enough to provide the kind of quality service that people need. John Muir, WHERE ARE YOU in this matter that is affecting so many lives? We at least need other lab company options. Has Labcorp become a monopoly? We are genuinely puzzled. But again, PATRICE, YOU ARE AN ANGEL! YOU ARE THE ORIGINAL REASON FOR MY WANTING TO WRITE A REVIEW! I hope you can see it through to where Labcorp and John Muir get their act together and can once again provide good service and a really good work experience to worthy employees like you! Just now, Tuesday morning, more than 2 days late. Due to this horrible incapable place I was denied boarding to go to my hard-earned vacation to celebrate my 40th birthday in Barbados. The day of my flight was spent with my boyfriend repeatedly calling customer service to see where our results were, only to be told that their systems were down. That's definitely what you want to hear from a place whose results your entire vacation depends on. *sarcasm* Fast forward to 9pm: we are sitting at the gate, praying results would come in, but they never did. During this time I chatted with COVID Clinic's customer service on FB messenger and had the pleasure of dealing with the world's most incapable social media manager, Holly. Holly failed to tell me 3 times how their refund policy worked. Later another agent responded and apologized and explained it to me. Holly should be fired or at the very least retrained. Of course results never came in, and we left the airport absolutely devastated. The next morning we got retested at a place called Worksite Labs and they got us the results in time to leave for our vacation 24 hours later than planned. I spent hundreds of dollars rebooking flights, non-refundable hotel reservations and car rentals, which required 4 hours of phone calls to Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel whom I had booked the vacation through. I will never get back that time nor money. I should sue COVID Clinic for damages, quite frankly. Another thing, we told them we needed a nasopharyngeal swap, not a mid-turbinate due to Barbados's entry restrictions and their website advertised they do nasopharyngeal. When we got there they insisted on mid-turbinate and told us it wouldn't say on the test result. Guess what, it does. That alone would have rendered the results useless already! Stay away from this horrible place and safe yourself the headache, heartache and money. They now have radio commercials and I am afraid more people will fall into this trap. I'll make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this scam of a place!!!

What better recommendation can you get than that of a competitor? Tim Appleford was my PT at Bay Area Physical Therapy. I already knew what my injury was but Tim confirmed it and quickly relieved the pain I was in from a badly ripped psoas muscle I tore in a yoga class on New Years Day. Over the course of several treatments I learned just how important the psoas muscle is for active people, how to rehabilitate it, strengthen it and improve range of motion. Just as important I also learned some of the exercises that I do that can put it into positions that can cause injury if not done properly, which is how I injured it in the first place. The receptionist is super cool. The physical therapist are awesome and the assistance to the physical therapists are so friendly and engaging. I never want my sessions to end. Businesses need to take a lesson from how this establishment is run. Everybody is happy accommodating and very down to earth. I highly recommend the Bay Area Physical Therapy to anybody in need of recovery and a safe place to get it done. I'm gonna be so sad when my sessions end. These ladies feel like family to me and I actually wish we could be friends outside of PT. That's how much I love this place!!!
