Tiday, I got up early to make a lab appointment just to find out they were closed. This happens quite a bit at the pleasant hill office & needs to be corrected. My doctor orders these visits & they are difficult to reschedule within a certain time frame. I am very disappointed with this office. No one called to inform me that it was closed.​ read more

We made an appointment and got there at 11:30. The office was locked and lights closed. The office said they were open until 12pm. I knocked and waited for 10 minutes. A woman opens the side door and claims they had an emergency and needed to close early. She claims she called everyone that had an appointment. We had an appointment and drove all the way from Napa to get here on time. I told her I never got a call. She then accused me of putting the wrong number. WOW talk about being accountable! They decided to close early ignoring anyone's time. I asked for a manager's contact info. She said that I can complain to her! Very unprofessional and careless. read more

I had an appointment today at 11:30 am. I arrived at the Pleasant Hill location at 11:25 am. There was a paper note on the door stating this facility was temporarily closed until June 26 (Monday). I did not appreciate having to drive all the way there and see this note. I checked my phone and my email and I did not receive any notification that the office was closed. After I got home and opened the Mobile Check In on my phone, it says "More than 1 minute late. You are late for your appointment and must schedule for another time". Dah -- you guys closed your office -- not my fault. I'm very disappointed. I will reschedule my appointment and let's hope this doesn't happen again. read more

This Quest location is not run well at all. There is only a single person and they are overwhelmed most of the time. This is not the worker's fault, but Quest. Avoid the Pleasant Hill location and go to Lab Corp or another Quest. Lab Corp is much better. read more

I had blood work done and accidentally gave them my old healthcare card. I came back the next day and Adrian said she couldn't help me because it was already billed and gave me a number to call. I called the number and was transferred to another # and I explained what happened and told her Adrian said she couldn't help me. She sarcastically said, "wasn't that nice." She said Adrian could have called and straightened it out for me. She could develop more customer service empathy. The previous time I came there she wasn't too friendly either but warmed up when I made the effort to chat with her. I give it 3 stars because the woman on the phone was helpful and had a great attitude. Violated my rights. Performed a test that had not been discussed! I had crossed off that test on the paper that my PCP had written was only for blood in sample. They performed the wrong test ! When I got incorrect results for test I had declined wrote certified letter to them they have incorrect results and violated my rights! They didn't care so wrote headquarters revoking all permission to ever test anything from my body false negative caused huge problems. They never tested my urine again ! read more

Have been going here regularly for over a year. I have always gone first thing when they open in the morning, and never have to wait very long for my bloodwork to be drawn. I even took my 84 year old Mother there while she was visiting me, and they she commented how nice and gentle they were with her. Shout out to all the ladies that work at the PHill location. I appreciate what your do for me. I notice lots of negative reviews due to wait times. If your smart, you set up an online account with Quest, and make an appointment. This location is always lacking in service. Walk-in times have always been super long before corvid. Today I did a walk-in and waited 65 minutes before I received a text that I was up next. I waited at the window for 10 minutes before someone came to the desk who ignored me and I had to ask was I next. I was told they had a lot of appointments. That's it. No other option was available? How is that professional? Never mind the 3 times before where I had to argue with them about my veins. I have deep veins. Very hard for people to find them. These people never could find them and want to poke me multiple times in each arm. Everytime! Everytime I would tell them hey last time this happen please listen. Nope. Once I was told to go another location where people have experience taking blood from the back of my hand. I can't trust people who are this professional. I'm a diabetic but if this the only place I can go then screw it. And no I'm not giving the entire company another chance to butcher me after waiting over an hour. 5 stars for Tanya which I think works very hard since they are so understaffed there. She found my vein with no trouble unlike all the other phlebotomists I've had in the past. Trust me, an RN lady couldn't even find it and burst my vein. But not Tanya, she touched my arm and within seconds she got the needle in! Plus it was practically pain free and I'm such a wimp when it comes to needles. Hopefully you can get her for your next appointment. The wait time does suck so had to take 1 star off. I had to do glucose test and they try to get you in there before the 1 hour expires. Mine had to wait an extra 10 mins. But it is really busy so make an appointment! read more

Coming from someone who is a total chicken having blood drawn, I am a fan of this place! I made the mistake of not having an appt, and although quite a few people waiting - they handled it efficiently and well. Tanya is amazing! She was completely gentle and got me on the first prick. More important was how nice she was when I went pale and almost passed out. I was so nervous she would get irritated when I had to go lay down and she still needed more blood. Instead she was very patient, sweet and treated me with respect. I will always go back here for future tests!! read more

This place is awful. Every time i go one of the women working there is very very very rude. When i went in it was a very long wait when there were only maybe 2-3 people in front of me and i waited from 2 pm until about 3:20 to get my blood drawn. She then sat me in the back and continued to speak with other customers and help other customers while i continued to wait. She was unorganized and when coming to draw my blood was rushing so much that she pulled my arm straight didn't even let me relax and then stuck the needle in very aggressively which was not only painful but left almost an immediate bruise as well as tons of blood. She couldn't even take her time to make sure i was okay as she could see i was in pain and then rushed me out. Makes me never want to come back again and i think i can say that for all of us who waited in that waiting room for an hour plus. read more

I came in the Quest office on Friday, 2:30 ish. I really hate having my blood drawn. The person who was working there hated to be there worst than me. Now everybody can't be at the top of their game every day and I know this, being in the retail business. But this is the second time I had Bonnie and she was very rude and decided I would come back another time when she either is not there or another employee like Tanya or Veronica are there. I will not have Bonnie touch my arm again. If I see she is the only one in the office, I will come another time or another Quest office. read more

I have to agree with everyone else. The receptionist, blonde and pink hair, is INCREDIBLY rude. I kindly approached her at her desk, waited politely for her attention, and asked a question. She replied with the attitude of a hormonal 14 year old girl. Instead of being rude, she could just say "apologies, I'm busy and I'll be with you in a moment" and I would have been happy to wait for her. If it weren't required by my employer to get a test done at this location, I would have walked out and gone somewhere else. Especially since she took an extra long lunch and was late to greet customers. I was definitely going to fill out a customer satisfaction survey from the board on the wall that says "your opinion matters" but big surprise the box that holds the comment cards was ripped off the comment board. I have a long awaited appt. with my oncologist tomorrow but because of Quest's extraordinary unexplained delays in delivering my test results the appointment will be wasted and I'll have to reschedule. My doc is a very busy man so I know I won't be able to see him soon. Quest promises a 5 day turnaround but I've been waiting 13 business days with no results. The only reason I'm willing to assign even one star to Quest is the excellent service from the phlebotomist/office manager in Pleasant Hill, CA. It's time to consider using LabCorp instead of Quest for diagnostic tests. read more

I've used this facility many times and they always treat me promptly and professionally, even though occasionally there is a wait. Their technicians always get blood on the first try and this isn't always the case with my small, wobbly veins. My daughter sometimes faints when they have to draw blood and they always do everything possible to make her comfortable before and after the procedure. One note, walk-ins only 7:30-8:30 am and they close for lunch. read more

Everytime I have had to come here the person working the front desk is extremely unhelpful and has a noticebly bad attitude whenever you ask them a question. If you don't want to work there that's not my issue and it shouldn't be treated as my issue either. This lab has terrible customer service. I arrived at 11:35 for a urine drug test. At 11:45 I was called to the desk where I was told there was "inadequate" time to process me before they took lunch. I was told processing time was ten minutes. Lunch was at noon. They refused to see me and I was told to come back at one pm. By the way, wearing a mask at reception doesn't inspire confidence in your customers! read more

Quick service whenever there is not a line, though this place tends to be busy. I would suggest going first thing in the morning or right after their lunch break, which is 12:30-1:30. Have your insurance card ready, and don't stress- the blood work doesn't hurt at all. read more

There is only one person staffing this location. One. Every. Your wait will be very, very long. I had an appointment, so my wait wasn't too bad. I am somewhat of a difficult stick, however it can usually be accomplished with an experience phlebotomist. Not so here. This is the second tie I've been here for a blood draw and had to come back a second time because the phlebotomist couldn't manage it. I'm going to a different location today where there are four phlebotomists, so I hope someone can manage it. I am getting different insurance in December during open season, so I can go to LabCorp instead. My husband goes there and has found the wait times to be reasonable. If you don't have an appointment at Quest, you can wait two hours or more. Absurd. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the phlebotomist was kind and was doing her best. read more

If you are going to this location, make sure to free all your day. When I walked in there were 5 people ahead of me. I was told that I would have to wait 45 minutes. after an hour passed, I asked the women at the window how much longer and she said it will be another hour. Their customer service truly sucks. even DMV have more respect for their customers. In one hour they serviced 3 people and chat with each other the whole time. Common sense would suggest, to let people waiting know that it is going to take longer. So if they have to go to work, they can make arrangements. After 12 hours of fasting and wasting one hour, I had to leave. Called my doctor to send me to Lab Corp and they are two door down from Quest, I was done in 10 minutes. read more

I went to the Pleasant Hill Quest for the first time last week, before its 4:30 pm closing. There was only 1 lady assisting, she seemed cranky and burnt out and kept saying, "im the only one here", complete with body language. I asked her to check if my authorization was sent by my doctor for my urinalysis so I dont have to wait if authorization has not arrived. After waiting for about 20 mnutes, I insisted that she checks, only to find out there's none. I asked her if she's the only one there all the time, she said there's another lady that comes in the morning. Like everyone else I did not want to get blood-work done. I made an appointment after reading other people's experiences at quest. When I arrive at the office there was no one waiting. They quickly took my insurance card and information. I was taken back within 5 minutes. The blood work did slightly hurt. It was a pinch and the pressure when they switched panels was uncomfortable. My arm was sore for a few days afterwards. But I guess that is what I expected. Overall staff was friendly and professional. read more
