I am finally writing my first review for 1450 Treat Blvd JMH Labcorp location. For the past 15+ years, I usually walk away very frustrated and dumb founded that the experience and customer service never Improves. Of all the locations I am bewildered that JMH management and Labcorp do not read and act on all the negative reviews and try to improve their customer service experience for their patients. I'm the type of person that does not leave negative reviews. So today, I am choosing to leave a positive review for my first great experience! It Was 2:20 PM. Signed in at Kiosk. Staff called me up for verification. The Admissions Rep was very friendly. I Was called immediately by Lily to draw my blood. She was friendly, efficient and caring! Overall today was a very positive experience for me ! As it should be more than not! Usually I find Labcorp workers don't seem to be happy doing their job and it shows in the way they treat patients! Today was a good day at LabCorp and I would like to see my positive experience become a trend! For the record I only go to this location! read more

The front desk here adds some random freaking insurance to your info every time you visit, so you have to file a grievance with your insurance every single freaking time you visit. They need to fire every single one of those idiots at the front desk. When they're not making up insurance info to add to your bill, they're rude as hell. They clearly don't want to do their jobs, so let them find another one. Preferably one that isn't public facing cuz they cant seem to even do the bare freaking minimum. Technicians are great tho, never had a problem with them. read more

Unfortunately my experience here was one of the worst bloodwork experiences I've had. The front desk was unfriendly, understanding that it's during the holidays but you are a service, you should be kind to your patients. As a pregnant patient, I had a fasted draw at 1:45PM because all of their morning appointments were taken for weeks out. They got me in at 2:45pm and it was like being herded like cattle - called up a handful of names and brought us inside to wait in a line for a room My phlebotomist was kind, but felt very inexperienced. When she saw how many vials she needed to fill, she got some one else to double check which did not make me feel comfortable. She missed my vein for at least 2-3 minutes and after expressing it was very painful, I had to have her remove it and ended up leaving because the pain radiates up my entire arm. It was one do the worst bloodwork experiences I've had. I've never had issues with my veins and I've even had an IV put in during transit! Esp being pregnant and having to fast for so long, on top of them not getting me in for another hour after, it was very hard to stomach. I decided to use GetLabs and pay the extra money for a phlebotomist to come to my home, which was a much better experience. read more

MOSTLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE(S) ON BLOOD DRAWS: MOSTLY (NOT ALWAYS) Pleasant Attitudes at LABCORP ). I "ALWAYS" remind them I am a HARD DRAW. In March 2026, a Young Man drew my blood & I was Happy he got on 1st stick as that is highly unusual. I ASKED;, DID YOU GET ENOUGH BLOOD & he said YES! I commended him & told the Supervisor what a great job he did... BUT discovered by looking on MYCHART that he did a TERRIBLE JOB as about 9 tests were NOT done as he did not get enough blood and I now have to do BloodWork over including fasting ANOTHER 12 Hrs. I am NOT trying to get anyone in Trouble or lose their jobs but he should have TOLD ME he had not drawn enough blood as it's a HARDSHIP on me to do this ALL OVER. F. Moore read more

She took the h time out to thoroughly explain to me the proper way to collect the specimens for my 4 year old granddaughter. It made the procedure easier and uncomplicated. I REALLY wish I'd looked at the Yelp reviews before going to this Labcorp location on Treat Blvd. Mind you, I TRIED going to another Walnut Creek location of Labcorp, which was listed on their website as 500 Lennon Lane, but it was closed. Thanks, Labcorp, for not bothering to update your lousy website. Because of you, I dragged my handicapped body all over a campus on Lennon Lane. Anyway, the Labcorp branch on Treat is TOTALLY UNMARKED. Again, I dragged myself all around a hot parking lot trying to find SOME sign of a Labcorp, but there was NO SIGNAGE, not until you're actually standing in line at their desk. Annoying self sign-in computers that tell you to "scan," your insurance card. How do you scan a paper Medicare card? Then, when I went to the desk to tell the guy it wouldn't scan, I was told it would be an hour and a half wait! This is UNACCEPTABLE and I'll be going to a Quest Lab, where there's signs and enough employees. Thanks, Labcorp, for the LOUSY customer service. read more

Good grief! You tried to book something online and they wanted to deposit just to be able to book. They make it impossible then you go and you sit there for an hour to wait for your appointment. There must be a better way to do this. I've been to a lot of different labs and never have I had to wait that long and when I understand is that is the average wait so they do it all the time. If other labs can be quicker, why can't this one? read more

Long waiting regardless having made an app ointment, online, months ago. Previously went to Lab Corp at John Muir Hospital with no scheduled appointment. That was worse. They could stop closing convenient locations and "automating" things that end up malfunctioning and creating MORE work for patients and staff. This is what happens when a company pays a lot of money for efficiency consultants, or hires a new operations leader, and these people need to prove their worth by screwing up everything that already works. All the locations within 20 minutes of my home were closed, even though they were always busy. I will be boycotting this provider, on the advice of my friends and medical service providers, and going to a competitor after being a loyal customer for 20 years. read more

Labcorp - Lafayette location closing Monday. - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Typically, they are fairly competent at this location. However, I was there recently for a blood draw, and the phlebotomist kept poking around, but couldn't find a vein. She finally had to call someone else to draw my blood, and the result from all her poking is an extremely bruised arm. I have been there many times in the past and have not experienced this sort of bruising due to the phlebotomist not being able to find a vein. She seemed to be very new and didn't appear to know what she was doing and had to call someone else to do her job. I understand that people are new in their jobs, but the patient shouldn't be a test subject for someone to learn. They should have learned sufficiently in school. read more

This lab is the most chaotic, and most inefficient lab I've ever been to. Every time I come, I always wait for over an hour, even when making an appointment ahead of time. This place is a disgrace of a medical service facility. Will not be back here! read more

I took my wife to have her lab work done, and unfortunately the check-in experience was disappointing. The clerks at the front desk were rude and impatient. Many people coming in for lab work are not in the best health or may already be dealing with stress or anxiety about their results. Because of that, it's important for staff in these positions to have empathy and strong patient-service skills, not just check-in abilities. A professional and compassionate first interaction can make a significant difference in a patient's overall experience. read more

I've been here a few times for blood work but after my recent experience, never again. My arm bruised from the shoddy blood draw, and plus it was quite a painful experience. I've never had any issues with getting my blood drawn anywhere, including this LabCorp, until my last visit. I had scheduled an appt and got seen very quickly. As i followed the woman who would be drawing my blood into the room, I had a mental note that she seemed unfriendlier than most. But whatever, this wasn't a social call. However, a few other things should have red flagged me. 1. She didn't ask which arm I wanted blood drawn from. 2. When you get your blood drawn, there is a special chair with that the side armrest so you can rest your arm. Rather than allow me to rest my arm to the side on that armrest, she pulled it across my chest which was an uncomfortable position, especially given my shoulder issues. It seemed she wanted my arm there before it was more convenient for HER. Like she couldn't just reposition her body a little to allow my arm to rest in its proper position. 3. She tied that tourniquet around my arm, inserted the needle, and started drawing blood. She never took that rubber band off -- I later realized this was a problem! She drew the first vial of blood ok. But the 2nd vial was taking forever, much longer than I remember it ever taking. And the needle in my vein was starting to get increasingly painful to the point when I actually eventually cried out in pain. Only at that point did she remove the tourniquet and withdraw the needle. She said, "Sorry. That's going to bruise." That's when I realized she should have removed that earlier to allow the blood to flow better. Since not enough blood has been drawn, she had to take it from my other arm. This time, she removed the tourniquet as soon as blood started flowing and there were no issues. When I got home, I told my husband about the experience and he said this is the same lab where he had HIS bad experience, also because they failed to remove the tourniquet. In his case, it resulted in a falsely elevated potassium level and he had to go back and have his blood redrawn. I've had my blood drawn plenty of times and have never thought much of it. You shouldn't need to think much of it. If it's done right and assuming you don't have any special issues (which I don't), it should be a straightforward procedure. Such was not the case here, and my arm now has a bruise. This place is very convenient for me but I'll happily take an extra 20-30 minutes to go elsewhere in the future. read more

I go like twice a year to do routine blood work and go to the LabCorp Treat Blvd., Walnut Creek. Never had an issue people friendly and appear to be professional but today I went in there and I don't know if they have a bunch of new people or what. The place was just so unorganized and was called back with another gentleman and was told to go to a room and all the rooms were filled. The person said just stand here against the wall so me and him waited. I saw several people going back-and-forth, laughing, talking in the back. A tall African man walked in regular clothes with a look of discuss walking in, went to the back changing, and the scrubs came out by this time I was sitting in a room waiting, and he comes out groping himself, which is so inappropriate The women appeared to be all smitten with him, laughing giggling, and I feel that I wasn't with a qualified person that was drawing my blood didn't really ask all the questions I remember I was asked to provide and when she put the needle and it hurt. I don't think I'll let her go back to that LabCorp again. I felt it was unclean unsanitized They did not have gloves on just everything just was disgusting. read more

Always seem to be short handed . They try to do they best but be prepared to wait even though you made an appointment in advance.

This lab site is awful! The set up is terrible, can't hear your name being called, it's right next to Urgent Care, which also has its challenges w pts being ill, the staff is VERY rude and talk down to people, the wait is VERY long and can't get an appt for months. It is the WORST. They need new leadership/ management and some customer training. They aren't professional either. I am a nurse and I will NOT be coming back to this location!!!!!!! read more

I could have finished War and Peace and I'd still be waiting to get my labs drawn. The longest wait times of any lab I've been to. I went during off peak hours on a weekday. I waited over an hour and then was told I'd have to wait even longer. When I asked for a time estimate the lady behind the counter rudely told me "no". I walked out at that point. read more

Labcorp location is ok. Billing is not. I called because they sent to the wrong insurance company and was told I would have to call again when I received bill from labcorp. It took almost 10 minutes to get through to billing, and they claimed to have no knowledge of their error until they had an invoice from labcorp. read more

The front desk staff is extraordinarily rude. They talk about the patients in front of them, and made numerous comments about how they don't like "old people". Moreover, the interactions they have during the check-in process is condescending and completely fail to treat the customers with any respect whatsoever. I am writing to express my deep frustration with the service I experienced at 177 La Casa Via, Walnut Creek LabCorp location. I arrived as a walk-in patient for routine bloodwork and waited over two hours to be seen. This was not only uncomfortable but completely unacceptable. I understand that appointments are prioritized, but I have visited other LabCorp facilities in the Bay Area without an appointment and have never waited more than 30 minutes. Many walk-ins at this location left due to the excessive wait times, which clearly indicates a severe lack of efficiency and staff management. If walk-ins are going to be treated as an afterthought, it should be clearly communicated online and at the location. People plan their schedules, fast for hours, and expect basic courtesy and reasonable care, none of which was provided today. Very long wait times if you don't have an appointment. Long wait times to get an appointment, particularly if you need a morning appointment because you're fasting. Some other reviews mention cleanliness issues and rude staff, but I haven't noticed either of these. The staff are professional but severely overworked. read more

Most horrible service. People are rude as can be - the wait is insane. God forbid you ask a question.

Bottom line, head to another LabCorp somewhere else. This location doesn't have enough seats and shares a space with urgent care. It's noisy and disorderly. The person that calls your name sits at a cubicle and yells on top of everybody else down the hall and in urgent care and even then you might not hear your name because of the layout and noise and so many other things going on. Then when you don't hear your name, they are very rude, but don't understand what an awful experience their customers are having. Whoever thought of putting LabCorp in that location needs to have their head examined. They have an automated check in, which doesn't really seem to do anything. You get a text message that says wait for your name to be called and then no one ever calls your name. Totally awful experience. Go somewhere else!!! read more

Unfriendly admin staff and cold technicians on both of my visits this past week. Iwould avoid this place.

This is for the LabCorp location at 1450 Treat Blvd. in Walnut Creek. I've been coming here for blood work for more than 10 years, but this morning was one of the WORST because I witnessed what happened, spoke up and NOTHING WAS DONE. It showed LabCorp employees did NOT adhere to professionalism nor following protocols -- PERIOD. I was first in line to check in at the kiosk to the left of the LabCorp receiving desk as I'd been waiting outside since 7:37am (Saturdays and Sundays they open at 8am). Upon checking in and sitting waiting for my name to be called, more people filtered in and checked in. Many said they could NOT get an appointment as numerous locations were booked out, at least a week or more -- keep this in mind for later in this review. After 15-minutes had passed in waiting, two women walked in and didn't check in at the kiosk, but instead, walked right up to the front desk and immediately started getting service. In overhearing them, they stated they had a 9:30am APPOINTMENT but wanted to come early. Sure enough, the woman working for LabCorp began processing their paperwork -- basically allowing them TO CUT IN FRONT OF THOSE OF US who could NOT get an appointment but had checked in and had been SITTING while these two women (GIVEN THEY HAD A 9:30am appointment) just strolled in and got served BEFORE any of us. Upon my name being called, as I was first to check in this Sunday morning, I asked this other woman processing my paperwork, why the two women were taken first when they had a 9:30am appointment. She proceeded to tell me she didn't know as she didn't handle their paperwork. I told her they had not checked in and I'd like to know how they were being served before me. Finally, now by 8:20am, I was taken back to get the blood work done. As I sat waiting, here is the phlebotomist casually making conversation with this pair of women who had CUT IN FRONT OF US -- this phlebotomist was the SAME WOMAN who processed their paperwork and allowed them TO CUT! NO JOKE. So by the time this same phlebotomist came to do to my blood work, given she was the EXACT SAME WOMAN who did the paperwork up front AND ALLOWED THESE TWO WOMEN TO CUT AHEAD OF US (WHEN THEY HAD A 9:30AM APPOINTMENT), I asked her why they were being served before us -- at least eight (8) people --, when their appointment wasn't until 9:30am. A FACTUAL STATEMENT THAT FOCUSED ON THE PRINCIPAL OF THE MATTER, CIVEN LABCORP STAFF HAD NOT FOLLOWED PROTOCOL. I even told her that I'd seen her as the one who had done their paperwork and knew they had a 9:30am appointment and yet she allowed them to get service before ANY OF US. The Phlebotomist kept DODGING IN ANSWERING the question, until she said she was going to get someone else to do my bloodwork. She didn't like that I was calling her out on a TRUTH that she and I BOTH KNEW SHE HAD DONE AND IT WAS WRONG. So, then another woman -- the same one that had done my paperwork -- came in to draw my blood. Therefore, I point-blank asked her why this had happened? She, too, DODGED THE QUESTION by telling me it already happened and to move on. I told her she nor her coworker were being professional in the FACT THAT NEITHER OF THEM ADMITTED FAULT AND THAT WHAT HAD HAPPENED DID NOT FOLLOW PROTOCOL. I told both that I was NOT wrong for calling this to their attention because what I CLEARLY witnessed was two women cutting in front of many of us -- unable to get appointments, but that had arrived and checked-in (followed directions for checking-in) at 8am -- and yet these two women who HAD A 9:30am APPOINTMENT were served first. So, the fact that I spoke up, called out a FACTUAL OCCURRENCE I WITNESSED, these two LabCorp employees didn't like that they were being called out for a TRUTH that they BOTH KNEW WAS WRONG and yet wouldn't apologize nor make it right. They BOTH KNEW WHAT HAD HAPPENED and INSTEAD of being professional, allowed it to happen HOPING NO ONE WOULD SEE IT OR THAT OTHERS WOULD SIMPLY LOOK THE OTHER WAY. I DID SEE IT AND SPOKE UP AND INSTEAD OF PROFESSIONALISM TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR WRONGDOING, THEY BOTH TRIED TO DOWNPLAY IT AND SKIRT IT UNDER THE RUG. In this current environment, it's NOT surprising this is happening -- it happens everywhere as so many lack professionalism and ethics, let alone adhering to protocol. IBOTTOM LINE: I do NOT feel badly for speaking up about a TRUTH because all it showed was an INABILITY for two LabCorp employees to step up and correctly handle the situation that they played a huge role in allowing to take place. They LACKED: ETHICS, FOLLOWING PROTOCOL and SIMPLE PROFESSIONALISM. read more

This location is by far the worst in customer service, cleanliness and organization. There is one individual at the check-in desk that is particularly unfriendly, not only to me but the three people after me as well. Since I had to wait 25 min over my appt time, I had plenty of time to hear how she treated others. No excuse for hostility. Clean the patient rooms, I witnessed visual dirt on the chair, doors and supply cart. That is unacceptable. Why does Labcorp mgmt continue to allow this location to be run like this? read more

Maybe I got lucky, but my experience here was pretty good, and MUCH better than the dozen+ experiences I've had at the LabCorp in Lafayette. I came to this location because it was the only one reasonably close by that was open on a Saturday (they're also open on Sunday). It wasn't crowded when I arrived. The woman who helped me was very friendly and asked me to sign in on a form. She called my name a few minutes later and it was off to the races from there. The only tricky thing (for me, at least) was finding it. It's in the John Muir medical center, located inside the urgent care center. I didn't see any signs for LabCorp outside, but maybe I missed them. read more

I'm surprised by the low ratings. Maybe I got lucky, but even though it was busy, my husband and I were able to check in and be seen within 10 minutes without an appointment. The front desk person was cordial and efficient. My phlebotomist was Marcellino--he was great--nice and very skilled. I didn't feel a thing. My husband also remarked how good he was. Double win! I think it helps to be patient and friendly whenever you go to a crowded Labcorp. These people work hard and don't get enough credit for their essential role in our wellness. On a side note, Lafayette is a nice location if you can get an appointment. Kevin is my favorite phlebotomist. At the Orinda location, the obviously disgruntled women at the front desk can be so surly, I just don't want to deal with them--I drive further to Lafayette. I would definitely come to the Treat Blvd. location in Walnut Creek again--FYI, it's located in urgent care. read more

Labcorps always seems jam-packed and chaotic to me. Lots of people to see. But, this last visit for a blood draw for my 100-year-old auntie was made much easier by the kind attention and clear instructions by Debbie and Marae at the desk and by Daniel, the phlebotomist. This is a fine facility, and very busy. Parking wasn't easy. When I made my appointment, I didn't realize I would be sitting next to sick urgent care people, coughing, sneezing, etc. Will not make that mistake again. Check in was timely, and the people who helped me were fine. My real issue was with the phlebotomist, Lea, who was unfriendly, did not listen to me, nor seem to want to put me at ease. No one likes getting their blood drawn, so an attempt at making people feel more comfortable goes a long way. She also left me with a bruise from a blood leak. I will not be returning to this Labcorp. read more
