DO NOT USE QUEST FOR PCR TESTS WHEN YOU NEED RAPID RESULTS. I went to Quest to take a COVID PCR test to be able to return to Canada without quarantining. The rules are - as they are for most travel related COVID tests - you must present a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours. Often travel tests are now shorter - 48 or the calendar day before. I called and confirmed their turn around time. They told me their response would typically be within 12 hours to 48 hours. They quoted me $129. I made an appointment and was required to pay in advance, on line. So I paid - not $129 but 135 - they added a $6.00 fee to notify my physician of the result even though there was no physician. No choice. First clue these people are no on the up and up. I wanted to drive back to Canada from Cape Cod on Saturday - which would put me at the border at 10 PM. I went in for my Friday 10:30 AM appointment and confirmed again in person that results would be there in time and the technician told me that my swab would go out with his morning shipment to the lab - I would probably have results within 12 hours but it could go to 48. I had the test. Before they give you the test they ask why I needed it and was paying out of pocket. I explained both on the online form and in person it was for travel and the time limit. No results Saturday. I delayed my drive to Sunday. Still no result. As I had to be at the border within 72 hours of my test or face a fine of up to $5,000 I finally set out for the border after the 48 hours were up and was slated to arrive at 10 PM. With no results at 3 PM, I started calling the lab, and customer service told me they would put a rush on it. At 6PM and again at 9 PM I called back, and had a friend checking the website. Again - still no result - so my friend had found a testing site that guaranteed 30 minute results in Buffalo - I got there at 10:30 - checked one last time (still no results) so paid another $225.00 for a PCR test - got my results within the promised time and crossed the border at 11:00. The absolute latest Quest promised the results would come in by was 72 hours = so this morning - 72 hours later at 10:30 I checked again. Still no results. So even if I had camped overnight at the border and waited to get my results in order to cross, I wouldn't have made it. At 11:30 still no results so I called to demand answers. One person apologized and then forwarded me to the "patient care" department who didn't actually care. I asked for a refund - no appologty and no refund - no way. HE looked online and acknowledged the results weren't up but said the test results were complete by 10:24. 12:30 PM - 74 hours later - still no results. I got an email at 12:40 PM - 74 hours and 10 minutes after my test. Net - DONT get your PCR test at Quest. 72 hour old results are useless. You're most infectious for about 72 hours - what good is a test that takes that long to get a result? company is dishonest - and needs to fix this for all affected patients. read more

WORST customer service and all around business. I don't even want to give one star. Absolutely no one I spoke to was helpful. After waiting 20 minutes on hold the first time, the CSR I got on the phone literally could care less and didn't do much to help me at all. She even went so far as to tell me she didn't have any info for other locations. Seriously? It pretty much sounded like I interrupted her nap or something. Second phone call, again, waited about 15 minutes, the CSR answered and asked if I was looking for results. I said, No, and proceeded to tell her what I needed (I needed blood work done for my 6 year old asap, I had a script from his Ped and it was urgent) this CSR hung up on me! Third phone call, the CSR told me to go online, I told her I went online and all the locations said no openings for weeks out and this was urgent per his pediatrician, she tells me, "Well if there ain't no appointments online, then there ain't no appointments" I don't know what to tell you. I called one final time. Again after a lengthy wait, the CSR answered, I started explaining my situation and that I needed help and he hung up on me too! (I want to name drop so badly because I know their names, but I won't they need food and gas to drive to the job they clearly hate and probably shouldnt have) I needed help for my son, a 6 year old! I just needed one person to give a little bit of a damn and help me so I didn't have to go driving around south Florida going door to door at different locations with a sick child. I remained classy each time, I didn't yell and scream, I have been a CSR and I know how that can be, but these people do not give a crap at all! I don't know if they go through any training or the company hires people that care the least. Other occasions that I had to use a Quest in South Florida there was always some hassle. I would rather pay money out of pocket than have to deal with these people. Awful. read more

Quest Diagnostics... I am so disappointed, no MORE than that, disgusted. I've been with the company since January, promoted TWO months in. I love the atmosphere, the patients, MY CO WORKERS. Until a new hire came into the Syracuse Community Health Center. Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessionalism and discrimination against one person. The nasty remarks this co worker has been towards the diversity patients walking in EVERY DAY, is absolutely disgusting. Now, with that being said, IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT BLM, WHY WORK IN SUCH A DIVERSE ATMOSPHERE?! This same co worker, disrespects me EVERY shift. Disrespects the PATIENTS. Constantly complains that no one "likes" her and cries to our boss about the way she is being treated. I will not tolerate this behavior. Remind you, I am not the only co worker that has been dealt with this. Phone calls have been made to address this situation, since my own boss REFUSED to acknowledge the disrespect I've been receiving from this person. Who knows if anything will be done. Yesterday I asked a SIMPLE question and I get yelled at, laughed at, and told "I don't like you" okay no problem but we are at WORK. Remind you she had already called our group lead and boss to come to the health center. I speak with my boss and this co worker in a private room to discuss everything. She is able to speak first and I let her, I listen and I don't say a word. AS soon as I'm able to speak, I'm cut off by her, laughing and being loud and pointing her finger at me. See now, once I'm not able to speak and explain my side and defend myself against someone who DOESNT LIKE ME, I will very calmly remove myself. My boss said it was immature to leave while in a meeting. If I cannot speak then NO. I will remove myself from this situation. It screams, favoritism.. and plenty other things that are obvious. I resigned from the company yesterday afternoon. It's 2022, let's do better. read more

I wanted to share feedback about my visit to Quest Diagnostics. I appreciate the availability of the service and the staff's efforts to complete my bloodwork. However, there were some aspects of my experience that could enhance patient satisfaction. During my appointment, the phlebotomist did not introduce herself or explain the steps of the procedure. I also mentioned that blood is difficult to draw from the inner arm and suggested using my wrist or hand instead. Despite this, she attempted to draw blood seven times: twice on the back of each hand, once on both inner wrists once on the inner crook of the arms and once on the side of the right arm next to the crook of the arm; before successfully filling two tubes. While I understand that challenges can arise, better communication and consideration of patient input might help avoid unnecessary discomfort. Additionally, I recommend adding staff trained in using ultrasound technology for challenging blood draws. This could greatly improve the patient experience and ensure a more efficient process for individuals with difficult veins. I value the work done by the team and hope my feedback helps improve patient interactions and procedures in the future. read more

Dear Quest Diagnostics Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent visit to your location at 2299 West Ball Road, Anaheim, California. During my visit, I was attended to by an employee named Neherl. There was an initial issue with how my first name was entered, which delayed my urine drug screening process. After the issue was resolved, I waited over 30 minutes without any update or communication. When I approached the front desk to ask for clarification, Nawal responded dismissively and made me feel uncomfortable. What stood out as particularly unprofessional was her parting remark: "Good luck with your drug test." I found this comment to be unnecessary and inappropriate, especially given the sensitive nature of the appointment. As a healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience, I take these matters seriously and expect to be treated with the same level of professionalism I strive to provide to others. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and use it as an opportunity to improve the standard of care and respect provided at your facilities. read more

AVOID-BAD BILLING PRACTICES Hard to give less than 1 star but if I could..... I had work done June 2021 and my insurance paid the next month, 07/2021 per the EOB from my insurance. However Quest sent a bill in Sept 2021 for 340.00 more than my Insurance allowed. They did not acknowledge my insurance settlement. Every month I called them. I asked them to bill my secondary insurance. They never did! They refused to bill military insurance. I finally sent them the EOB from my primary insurance, but instead of adjusting it and re-billing me, they sent it to collection for the corrected amount along with two other bills that were not mine. This company is unscrupulous and is sending fraudulent bills out. BEWARE read more

I have been fighting with their billing department for over a year. they submitted to the wrong state of my insurance company then didn't follow the directions to resubmit. Luckily, I have a liaison with my insurance company and we finally got it corrected except in the meantime Quest sent my bill to collections and now have washed their hands of it. I don't owe them the $680 they sent to collections, I owe $43. They said they can't do anything because its with collections even though its a bogus bill. I started using LabCorp instead, so far no problems with submitting correctly to my insurance. read more

Corbin location. I have went in the past and had good experience. This last time, will be my last time! No one will answer the phone! I wanted to call to be sure they had my lab order before I made the 1/2 hour trip. I got there, they said they did not have the order. They called the doctor's office (this is at 10 am). They then ask me to come back after their lunch. I was not happy! If they would answer the phone it would have saved me time, money, and effort! Where is customer service! read more

It is great to know that the driver of your wight minivan with company logo, traveling down the 5 freeway at 9:50 p.m. would rather attempt to push my wife and toddler off the freeway. Then continue to jump lanes to end up next to the carpool lane and speed down the freeway at increased speed. Is soo much more important than the safety and well-being of my wife and daughter. Watching all of this happen from the vehicle behind my wife was such a wonderful end to my day. read more

Quest phlebotomists Ashley and Nancy offered wonderful service. Even if I had to wait 30-45 minutes outside without an appointment before being called to sign in, it was worth the wait. Ashley drew my blood with no problem at all and I didn't even bleed after she withdrew the needle. It was absolutely worth the wait. A true professional in her field. Completely COVID-19 compliant at office here in Apple Valley, CA. read more

DO NOT USE QUEST FOR COVID-19 TESTING! Horrible, terrible, no good company. Apparently no one in the ENTIRE QUEST BUSINESS has access to email to send you a notice that your results are delayed 2 FULL WEEKS after I had the test done and they couldn't care less about me as a human being. They said that they can't provide any kind of proof that its pending. AVOID QUEST LIKE YOU AVOID COVID!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

Nancy at Quest Diagnostics on McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater, FL was amazing. From the second I walked in she greeted me with a smile thru her mask and a water. We had great conversation and I could tell she was in the right field, as she clearly possesses compassion, empathy, & understanding. Thank You, Nancy! You never know how 1 kind person can change the trajectory of your day, week, month, life. read more

You MUST have a copy of your doctors orders for your blood test, otherwise you can twidle your thumbs. My doctor reconfirmed they had mine, nothing, they had nothing. I went there today a second time fasting and they couldnt even find tests I actually did with them from another doctor last month. They are completely messed up. Dont waste your time, find another lab. Horror story! read more

Be careful with Quest. It appears they have a way of billing. They sent me 3 separate bills FOR THE SAME BLOOD DRAW AND PANEL. It looks like this allowed them to bill me 3 separate co pays! Also, make sure whoever draws your blood, they don't send it to Quest. I had my blood drawn at PIH and they sent it to Quest Lab without letting me know. read more

The fact that they don't have a single human being to answer phones at any one of their offices, and their national number human is rude and immediately transfers you to their automated service is absolutely ridiculous. This company is terrible. They pull billions of dollars in revenue and can't even answer the dang phone. read more
