I had a very upsetting experience at this location with my 2.5-year-old son. The staff member (Chandra) was rude and visibly frustrated from the beginning. This was already a stressful situation--getting blood work for a toddler--and instead of making it easier, she made it much worse. She raised her voice and did not show patience or care. She attempted to draw blood from both of my son's arms. The first attempt failed, which I understand can happen. However, the second attempt was done in a forceful manner and clearly caused him significant pain. He was crying intensely, and the situation felt out of control. Instead of helping calm things down, her attitude made everything more tense. She also blamed the failed draw on my child "not drinking water," which was incorrect--he had eaten and had fluids before the appointment. At no point did she ask about his preparation. As a parent, I felt unsupported, blamed, and honestly unsafe in that moment. Staff working with children should have proper training in how to handle pediatric patients with patience and care. This experience was far from acceptable. I hope this location takes this seriously and improves how they treat families and young children. read more

I usually go to PIH lab for my lab requests but since I work next door I thought I'd get my labs here. Only giving it 4 stars because Diana was amazing ! Such great people skills for an office who has no receptionist anymore. Literally two iPad stations ? How is the geriatric community supposed to utilize this or individuals who are not tech savvy. Anyways , Diana was amazing and made things so comfortable. She has a great personality and was able to get my mind off the needles. My blood draw occurred super quick, literally in and out within 10 minutes. You need more techs like her!!!! read more

Placerville Lab on Cedar Ravine. There were 2 people booked at each time slot with only 1 employee working there for the past 3 months. Phlebotomist telling walk-in's she can't help them. I'm genuinely not sure why this place has so many bad reviews. This place has a free parking garage located right next to it. They also are very easy to find once you're inside the building. Yes once you enter the room, no one will be there to officially welcome you. However you can check in online. My name was called within 5 minutes of arriving. Once I got settled in a room the wonderful lady was very transparent about possible charges and how much my insurance would cover. She mentioned the first goal is to always have the insurance cover all of it but gave me a maximum that I would have to pay if they don't. I appreciated the transparency before anything was done. Overall I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Truly a remarkable experience. I got my results in less than 24 hours as well. I'm very impressed by this facility. read more

I love coming to this Quest location because they have a lot of available early time slots and you don't have to pay for parking. Some negatives about the location: 1. I feel like they're always running behind. I choose one of the earliest times and according to the tv, it always seems like the person that was supposed to be helped 15 mins ago is still in the waiting room. So I'm usually not called in until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment 2. There's a lot of elderly patients that don't know how to use the check-in kiosk. So they'll ask you for help as soon as they walk in. Be prepared to be asked for help if you sit near the kiosks. Other than that, all the workers are extremely friendly and make conversation as they're running the tests/bloodwork so it makes for a joyful experience, even if they are running behind. read more

They are on the phone and youtube josh cant help at all they are laughing while we are just waiting. I belive that you guys need to keep the employees off the phone look at youtube and help the people who needs help. I understand its a walk in and it take times. But if the employees were not hanging out and talking about the night before and watching youtube. The process would be better. I went to get my blood test done here. The suite is a bit confusing to find because of the location. It's situated between two identical building so I had to walk back and forth to figure out where I am supposed to go. I took the elevator to the 2nd floor went up to the suite 200 and walked inside. It has 12 chairs around the room for guests to wait for their turn to be called. Once you walk up to the reception desk, you will have to sign in with either of the 2 Kiosk tables. They ask for your ID and insurance card so make sure you have them on hand so that it can be scanned at the kiosk. I am relieved that they don't require patrons to fill out paper work anymore. Technology as it finest! The only thing I suggest for people to do is to make sure to call in to make an appointment or you're going to be notified that walk-ins could be at least 1+ hour of a wait. I went on a Thursday morning and it was still pretty crowded. So HIGHLY recommend to make an appointment. If you do make an appointment you can come in 10 minutes before you scheduled visit and should be called fairly quickly. No need to come in super early to expect to get called early because they are going by appointments that are chronologically placed in order. I came in at 9:30am thinking that I can get in early since my appointment was at 11:10am but it doesn't work like that here. Overall, I think this place can be very quick and easy if you know how to use a kiosk and have an appointment. But the staff will also help you sign if you're not sure what to do. What a joke this lab is. I have to go to regular lab visits for my kidney. I was at UCI labs for a long time. Now my nephrologist is saying that they dont contract with UCI so I have to go to Quest. Appointment was at 630 AM. Was there at 6:25. First no one at the front desk. Two Ipad check in stations. They want your DL and Ins cards. Shouldnt this already be on file? So they call me in at 6:38 AM. Tech starts pulling up orders on his screen. It takes 15 minutes for him to do the lab paperwork. Why? He should just be drawing my blood, not filling out paperwork and figuring out forms. He had to call his manager, who was answering his questions like he was a bother to him. Im sorry you had to get up from your donuts and coffee to help out your tech. 10 vials later, I finally leave at 710 AM. 40 minutes???? This would have taken less then 10 min at UCI lab. Plus I cant wait for billing from Quest. In the past, its like a bunch of circus monkeys that run their billing office. I would suggest you try Labcorp or somewhere else. Quest is a joke and doesnt know how to run an efficient business. You are just another cash cow in their herd of patients. Last time I will draw blood here. Awful and disgusting building, the clinic itself looks like a municipal bus station in a bad part of town, and the organization and service attitude is, well, non-existent. I had the worst and most embarrassing experience at a Quest waiting room. I scheduled myself for a 12:10 appointment. After waiting till 12'45 I brought up the fact of my waiting time with one of attendees who came out to pull in another client and she verbally assaulted me in front of a full waiting room by saying that she was too busy. Meantime I had seen people come and go after me even though they said their appointment was after 12:10. She finally took me in grudgingly and with an attitudes. I want to know just WHAT THE HELL TO THESE AIDES THING THEY ARE. We are the F'n client generating that funds for their salary: a lot of funds. I'm going to tell all of my doctors about my experience and have them refer clients to Lab Core. I had to wait extra 18 minutes longer than scheduled time. The technician's face was as flat as a board, no greetings, definitely no "sorry you have to wait". When she clumsily stepped onto my feet, instead of "sorry" or "excuse me", guess what she said, "excuse you". I went in with my orders in hand: the doctor made three separate orders. Quest took about 12 vials of blood, so I figured they got it all. It turns out they did not fill one of the orders. Also, the results for the other two orders took almost 15 days to receive by the doctor, and none of them required cultures. read more

I really like that this location of Quest Diagnostics open earlier than most of their other locations in the area. They are open Monday-Friday from 5am-3pm, so they are open early enough for me to stop by before work. As a part of my company's wellness incentives, I made a reservation through our internal portal for blood work with Quest Diagnostics and I was able to get a 6:15am appointment. One of the testings required fasting prior, so I like the idea of sleeping through the fast period instead of starting my work day without coffee and fasting until lunch time or after work hours. I arrived prior to my appointment and there was so many people in the waiting room, but barely any names on the tv screen. Then when I entered my check-in information on the tablets, the wait estimate said I would have to wait over 30min past my appointment time. Whaaaaa?? Luckily for me, the wait time here isn't accurate like the other Quest Diagnostics. It's a bit annoying... I rather have no estimations over a faulty estimation. I hate to wait a bit after my appointment time but it was rather quick once I went in. Alvin was my blood work specialist and he was really professional and nice. I was out by 6:32am, which gave me plenty of time to get to work nearby. Due to proximity and their early hours, I would consider coming back here for future work necessities. read more

Instead of billing Medicare, they are billing her for 3 times the amount. Quest will not discuss the issue, they will not even allow her to pay the Medicare approved amount. Let me save you time by telling you don't go here. Don't trust the Google Reviews you saw as a 4 Star. Appointments don't work here. Even with appointments the wait is a minimum 1-2 hours. Don't waist your time here and just pay for the $55 in-home service visit for your blood draws. The waits here are so long that the waiting room gets crowded to a point people are sitting on the floor and the room starts to feel like a sardine can. Read some of the low ratings, majority are true. Nothing against the hard working employees here, the process needs to change top down. Employees are also stressed out because of the current process and it's affecting their kindness to the customers. Corp needs to step up and fix the process. read more

The first time I went (a few months ago) it was fine. I made my appointment; when I arrived I was greeted in a professional way by a friendly Employee at the front desk who checked me in courteously, and I got taken care of fairly promptly. The next time (around a month later, perhaps), after having made my appointment I arrived there within 5-10 minutes of the assigned time but no one was at the front desk so I patiently waited. A short while later, a staffer opened the door to the waiting room, I told her I was there to check in for my test and was waiting for the receptionist. She pointed to a machine in the lobby, said they no longer employ a receptionist, and told me to use it to check in; this required me to take the time to remove my drivers license from my wallet & place it on a tray under a scanner, but due to the tray being tilted my license fell to the floor & I had to retrieve it to try again; the machine then (or before the license ... not sure now) needed to scan a QR code from my phone, so i had to search for where it was and position it under the scanner -- whereupon the machine said I had no appointment. I then waited again for Staffer to open the door to the lobby and told her I DID have an appointment and needed technical help using their machine. She then tried and it again said no appointment. I then showed her the email on my phone confirming my appointment and she told me (with a "gotcha" tone of voice and facial expression) that appointments automatically get deleted from their system if the client didn't check in within 10 min of the assigned time (which information, of course, wasn't in the email confirmation they'd sent me). I then pointed out that (as I'd told the Staff originally) that when I arrived I waited for the receptionist as there as NO sign informing patients of their decision not to employ a receptionist any more; i.e., I *had* arrived prior to their (unannounced, un-noticed) cut-off time. Subsequently, she and the Manager told me I would have to wait until all the patients with appointments got taken care of. Thereafter, Manager and Staff continually treated me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. After an hour waiting (i.e., an hour after my assigned appointment) a Staffer called a name that sounded like mine, and I followed her into her cubicle, whereupon she said she'd called someone else's name and tried to get me to go back into the waiting room. But, having learned my "sit-in" skills at Cornell in the Viet-Nam War era, I declined her "invitation" to go back to the waiting room and ultimately got my test (which they said they would mark as "priority" because it was required for a medical procedure, but they didn't do that, which is a whole 'nuther story, LOL). BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Instead, I recommend Premium Health, which has a number of test sites including one conveniently located in Santa Clara, where you can get promptly taken care of *with or without* an appointment, AND you get the results within 16 hours, including on weekends! read more

I had never been to quest but there was one right down the street from my wife's doctor so I scheduled an appointment to coincide with a visit she had scheduled. As it worked out, we arrived about an hour early but, I thought no problem, I'll just arrive early in case they had an opening. As I walk in, I am faced with our dystopian automated future. There are no people, just a kiosk. After entering my data, all I am offered is an admonition to be back by 10 minutes before my appointment or I will lose my place. I will not be returning to Quest. After following instruction on text once I arrived 10 minutes early, I was instructed to go into service center and would be called shortly. After 30 minutes, a representative came out and stated to the last 3 patients including myself, that they had a baby they were dealing with and only had 2 employees. I went to the place at Tustin since it's associated with Hoag. I filled in all the patient and insurance information on the website and the app, and received the QR code. I checked in for my appointment on site, but the system kept asking for my insurance card. I was eventually called in, and although the nurse had all my 3 tests on the screen it took her 15 minutes (very slow typing and seemed confused, broken English) to enter whatever information she needed for the tests and to print labels, and to get my insurance information, again, and then asked for $0.91, yes 91 cents, for my copay! She was okey as a nurse and took her 30 seconds to draw the 3 vials. Quest system of operation needs to be streamlined and coordinated properly, and it should go back to having a front desk person and use the nurses to draw bloods ONLY (it's all automated with no attendant). Their operation management team should be replaced asap - look at their overall rating here. I suggest that this company lean from LabCorp, which I am planning to go back to albeit Hoag uses Quest and not connected to LabCorp apps! read more
