Good experience with the staff, although front desk communication could be better. I had an appointment and checked in from my car so that I'd go right in when they were ready for me. I was fasting for my lab tests, so feeling pretty faint, and when they called me to say they were ready, I decided to stand in the waiting room. The lady at the desk didn't tell me how long to expect to wait, and after a while, I decided to sit down to conserve some energy. I'm not sure how long I was waiting, but I was a bit stressed when they came and got me. The nurses I spoke with were very nice, so that helped. And they had me sit to made sure I wasn't going to faint on my way out. Just a tip for anyone going here, when they say they'll be right out, just ask what the timeline looks like. read more

I made an appointment for 8:45 somehow they didn't have it. So they said I could wait. I explained to them this is a times visit and a critical lab for my transplant medication. This was what I was instructed to do by the main office because there are times I can't get an appointment at all if I need repeat labs within a week. I ended up waiting for more then 2 hours while they passed me by I kept getting lower on the scroll list behind other people who were walk ins. At 10:20 I went and asked how much longer and explained o would have to come back since my lab would be Low since it was 2 hours late. She suddenly could take me right away. This was my first time to this office or any lab corp office . I had a pleasant experience and my tech was so gentle it was painless. Her name was Penelope if you're wanting to try to request. The downside is the waiting room is very small . I had to stand some as I checked in from my car and I didn't know the process , again I was new.. apparently even if you check in you still have to go to the front and tell them you arrived or they won't ever call you. I tried to cancel my appointment on line and was unable to do this.....I tried more than once, I tried calling and the number for the La Veta location is not in service.....I also tried this more than once. I entered my confirmation number, but the computer did not recognize it....once there was an error message to try again later and I did......to no avail. Also the suite number listed for the La Veta location in Orange is incorrect. It is in suite 610......not suite 210. I learned today that I didn't need to waste time with a corporate person like Labcorp to provide professional phlebotomist services. There are local private plebotomist's available that can provide these services without the corporate hassle. My story: My doctor ordered labs be performed before my next appointment at the end of the month. First off I could not find a Labcorp phone number to make an appointment. All appointments are online. I'm pressed for time so this was strike 1. Ok, so I went online to book an appointment and discovered it was impossible to find an early morning appointment (important if you need to fast 12 hours). So faced with this dilemma, I opted for Labcorp's home phlebotomist service. Yes, I was able to book my appointment, for $99, for one of their staff to come to my home between 5a - 7a this morning to draw my blood. I received several text messages over the last couple of days reminding me if my appointment, which was ok. But, this morning I woke at 4a so I could get ready for my appointment between 5a - 7a. Well, at approximately 6:30a I received a call from the Labcorp Supervisor notifying me they were canceling my appointmemt because there was something about the doctor's lab order they could not perform outside of one of their walk-in labs, even though they had the lab orders for several days! Well you can imagine my frustration while talking with this Supervisor. Yet, he was "corporately" indifferent to my predicament, and said I needed to go back online to book my appointment. So I tried to find a customer service phone number to share my frustration and try to get an appointment today (I know, yeah right...lol!). Well, no luck finding a phone number. The only thing I could find was to send them a message and then they would get back to me. Ok, so now I know I needed to look for an alternative solution. And I did! I found a private entrepreneurial phlebotomist. I called and she picked up the phone right away. She said she would be finishing up an appointment and could be at my home by 8:30a for a better price than Labcorp. Of course I booked the appointment! The phlebotomist arrived on time, performed the services perfectly, I paid her and she would drop off the samples at Labcorp and the test results would be in my doctor's office in approximately 5 days. Well in time for my doctor to review the results before my next appointment. Moral of this story: Ditch Laborp to perform phlebotomist services! Go local and find a private phlebotomist to help you out, and conversely, you help their business. Much better way to go! read more

I went to LabCorp this morning to have some lab work done. This location was the only place that had an open appointment for this morning as i wanted to get it over with. I made my appointment online for 930. I checked in at 9 AM on my phone and waited in my car and 10 Minutes later received a text that the technician was ready to see me. It was a pleasant and quick visit I was out of there by 9:25. Probably the quickest I've ever experienced. I've very sensitive when it comes to getting my blood drawn and after going to the same person for 10 years and having an insurance change I was very nervous about trying someone new. I've been here a handful of times, and 4 out of 5 times is good. Most of the lab techs are very nice, considerate, and good at what they do. As long as I make an appointment, I am usually in and out within 15 minutes or less. This week, I had a blood draw for COVID test, and the lab tech performed the clumsiest blood draw I have ever experienced. I've been here multiple times for blood draw, and all previous lab techs were considerate and effective at performing a painless blood draw. This technician (older Vietnamese man) was unable to draw any blood in his first attempt. I can speak Vietnamese so I asked him to try the other arm. He initially declined and continued to try to reinsert the needle. WHILE THE NEEDLE WAS STILL IN MY ARM, pulled out the needle half way, and began to jiggle it around to "find the vein". He did this several times, all while the needle was still in my arm and just aimlessly moving the tip around. After several attempts failed, he switched to my other arm. I do not have an aversion to needles, so it was just uncomfortable and painful. I can't imagine what a terrible experience this would be for someone who is sensitive to needles or blood. Clean and friendly facility. Hard to find as it's not in the corner and there are no signs on the street where the location is but I was fortunate to find. Appointments are easily made online so that was convenient. It's not packed although it's lunch time which means they are quick. Came at 1:20PM for a drugscreen. First time coming so I checked in with the machine and it says to wait wherever youre comfortable and they will send a text, so I waited outside. (There was a lot of people inside so I didn't want to wait inside because COVID.) Okay... I waited outside, 3:00PM went by, no text. By the time I was next to talk to the frontdesk, it was 3:39PM. The front desk asked what I was here for and I said "drugscreen". She replied, "Drugscreen was over at 3:30PM, you have to come back tomorrow. Are you kidding me? 2 hour wait to be given this response. This place really needs an update or to coordinate better. At least send out a text saying drug screen will be over in an hour or something. I'm sorry, I can't find the correct location, but it's about LabCorp on Anaheim Blvd, the person who attended the phone is the worst person ever, she did not let me talk, she did not provide me the accurate information for my testing, she hang off the phone 2 times, definitely I can't recommend a place like they don't take care of the patients, if you need services like these ones is because you are taking care of your health. My only question was to and follow the instructions to make my test. She was not capable, integrity patient and ethic to listen and answer just a simply question. I do not recommend this place (Anaheim blvd location). You guys needs to hire people that they really take care of, otherwise it looks like you as a company at doesn't have enough ethic in the health area or even how the customers we can trust in your results. I went on a day that wasn't very busy. I was a walk in but got in and out quickly. The nurse was friendly and helpful so I'm happy about the location itself. However, I am not happy about not being able to get my results. It has been nearly 3 weeks and my results are still not posted. My doctor has been on vacation so I haven't been able to get the information that way either. I am paying for this out of pocket as my insurance is not covering it so I kind of feel like I own the data and should have access to it. I went to get blood drawn. I made my appointment at 2pm, got there at 1:45pm, and I was probably out by 2:05pm! Finding parking was super easy! The wait room is rather small, but wasn't packed when I went inside. I wasn't too keen about having blood taken out, but the nurse talked me through it, and I didn't even notice when she was done. I had a good experience, but I know others didn't because when I got there, a lady was speaking very loudly about her being told no appointment was necessary, and that she had been waiting for around an hour. She asked the ladies in the front to speak to their manager, and she even wasted the doctors time by telling him her wait time, and where was his manager. So I came here today as per my Dr.'s orders, upon arriving I was waiting in line, not evEn acknowledged or greeted. I checked in through the kiosk and waited for my name to be called. Chris then calls me up & reads over my paperwork and hands me a cup to pee in (without checking my insurance) then points me to thE bathroom. If you like people screaming at you like your a little kid, and you like being told what to do like a child and being threatened to be thrown ot of the office, then this is the place for you. First off, I went in to get SIMPLE BLOOD WORK DONE, and the white lady with glasses behind the counter starts with her sarcastic tone of voice, "your coming in here awful late to be fasting" as if to call me a liar. I told her for her information I got up at noon if it were any of her business. I told her I am a grown adult and she is not my mother. She got very offended and told me to shut up. Then this big fat technician behind the counter got up as if to threaten me and I told him to sit down that he jabbed the needle in my arm the last time I came here and my whole arm was black for a week. They "needed" his help the last time I came there because they "claim" they couldn't find a vein so he comes into the room, sticks the needle into me and starts twirling it around until he got some blood. Then she got hostile and combative with me and said, "your getting very close to being thrown out of here". like I'm some homeless person. This behavior is totally unacceptable and I will not tolerate it. I wanted to say some select words, but bit my tongue because I am handicapped and told her I have a service dog. My friend left with the dog, but when I called my friend back, she got very hositile torward me and started screaming my name as soon as I got on my cell phone as if to stop me from getting a "witness" back into the clinic. As soon as the dog came into the place, she challenged my friend asking, "is that a service animal" when I already told her it was in my previous coversation with her it was indeed a service animal. Then she puts my gender as female on the sign in sheet. The technician who took care of me by the way was very professional, had no trouble with her and ironically just started working there a week ago. I would STRONGLY recommend another clinic to go to other than this LabCorp. There are plenty of them around who treat you like a human being and are worthly of LabCorps name. I filed a complaint with their head office as well. A few weeks ago, my friend also had issues with this person as well. We only go there for convienence and location, but if there were another one closeby and had convienent parking, we would go to that one.Hopefully she will be fired or at least reprimanded when the manager calls me back and I explain what a terrible experience I had with them. read more
