Haha jokes on me! I knew from the pop up tent that the place had to be reputable so I stopped in! The app didn't work but so what- try again they cheered us in! I was desperate to give them all my personal info so I persisted. Finally it was my turn! While the host kept pulling his mask down to talk to me I felt that we were almost friends. The quick swab and the hand off without gloves made me feel connected. As his palm rubbed over the edge of the swab I was assured it's ok they will be able to test it. Only 24 hours and I know! Wow the next day the line was 40 deep as I drove by- with two high school kids working the booth I assumed they were well prepared. Day 3 the circus was gone! This is an email I sent to Nova "A person on my moms group was advertising free mobile PCR tests through Nova. I am sick and couldn't get an appt anywhere else so I contacted them and got an appt on Monday. When she said "mobile" I assumed they would come to me, but I was instructed to meet them at a Dodge pick up truck in a parking lot nearby. The experience was rather odd. The guy (name withheld) was wearing a paper surgical mask but that's all. All the medical aspects of the test seemed legit - he didn't touch the swab, there was a legit looking vial etc. but I was floored when I had to sign a doc on his phone with my finger and he didn't seem concerned. I used hand sanitizer before and after but how many sick people have touched his phone? I then looked at the confirmation email they sent and there were several test questions with answers. I was never asked the questions, nor gave the answers, some of which were incorrect. I contacted (name withheld) the mom I set this up with and inquired about this. I was sent this response. " Good morning Janice. Thank you for your message. Th order form for each test has a long questionnaire. It's for the Cares Act. We do not go through the details on each test as it would quadruple the time. We do ask if you are experiencing symptoms and check a few boxes if anyone has them. It's not an exact science and there is nothing sketchy about it. In your case if you didn't have a fever for example it was checked on accident." This seems super sketchy to me. Those questions are there for a reason. For them to skip them in the interest of time is unacceptable. As is providing falsified data. As an aside, her personal page is filled with items regarding fighting against masks in schools and against vaccine mandates. Seems like their business is a conflict of interest." People will do anything to make a buck. I would find a more reputable lab. read more

I went to get tested on 1/2/22 at the "free!" Covid-Cabana-PopUp-Tent in Poway in the Big Lots parking lot (that should have already been a red flag). I was told I would have results between 24-48 hours, and no results yet (now 1/5/22). Contacted the company via their sketchy website (really did not want to give my name and DOB online, but what else could I do), only to be told to keep checking back each day as my specimen has not been processed yet. I should have known when I stepped forward and noticed the "staff" were not only gloveless, but also not even bothering to sanitize between the handling of specimens between patients. Coming from working in a lab in microbiology, I should have had a better response than letting the dude hand me the swab and sticking a very possibly infected Covid stick in my mouth. Yuck. I report this business to HHS for medical identity theft. I have contact multiple agencies to report a breach of personal information and froze my credit. If I receive my test result then I'll be more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt on poor operation logistics. However, like other have stated, they completed the symptoms questionnaires without my consent and forged my signature. Providing these false data also compromise overall analysis of the virus - this company, even if legit, is unethical. Will be reporting them to the police if I see another of their booth set up. I hope all the people working for them learns to be more compassionate and kind; it's such a disappointment to see people taking advantage of other needs during this time of need. read more

Our company has used Nova for our COVID PCR testing needs throughout the pandemic. We have run 5000+ tests with them with few issues. If issues arise, they are quickly resolved. We have always received great service from their staff and lab. As they are one of the few China approved labs in the LA/OC area, they can get busy, especially around holidays and peak travel times, so plan accordingly. Got tested on 1/5/22... its now 1/12/22 and everyday when i chat with them they tell me my sample is being processed. Its day 7 for fooks sake. I will be past the 10 days quarantine period by the time my results come in. They are utterly useless and a scam. The state should look into them. read more

My family and I took a test on 1/2/22 next to a Walmart in Otay and have not gotten out results. I was told it would be 3 days, but here we are six days later. They do not respond by any means. This place is a scam, they take your info and they even take your PHOTO! My stomach churns knowing they have all our info. We were desperate for a test as the rapid tests were all sold out in San Diego. So upsetting. read more

The scheduling is horrendous here. 10am appt means you will be lucky to get in at 11am. The area outside the lab is pack with Chinese who ay or may not care about social distancing. Typical bureaucracy with Chinese management. This place is a super spreader event happening on daily basis. Edit. Make that more than two hrs wait. Not only were they slow and inefficient. They are letting people on regardless of the sign up sheet. Unless you have the whole day then you might want to go somewhere else. read more

The girl in a tent gave me fake email to request results if delayed. Contacted chat on their website, they kept telling me results are pending. Today, cant even reach them through that chat. Horrible experience with this lab. I was on my way to get covid tested and saw a sign of "free testing" by this lab so decided to stop by, WRONG. I was told results would be ready between 24-48hrs (in time for xmas eve) well they are not ready and I tried talking to them via chat and the response I got was "results are not ready, check back" Excuse me? I understand unexpected things happen but at least give a viable solution? If you are worried and need testing, please do it elsewhere. This is the worst lab I have ever personally experienced. We went for Covid testing at the Bookstar pop-up in Studio City, serviced by this lab. We were tested on 12/28 and never got results. I tried emailing them, calling them, "chatting" with them, all to no avail. On 01/05/2022, 8 days later, someone did finally respond to an email saying that there would be no results from the 12/28 test, that the tests were "unresolved" and "inactive" (in other words, they lost them). We also tested on 12/31 and still awaiting those results 6 days later. This lab is useless. I would avoid this lab if at all possible, and the County of LA should not be wasting our money using them. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

A large number of people took their tests through a mobile lab set up with NOVA diagnostics. I got my whole family tested and never got my results and it is over a week now. Similar to other people, when I called the phone number, we get a message that the voicemail is full. Finally, when I got to speak to someone they first claimed that they never got the test specimen, they also suggested that we contact the organizer mobile clinic (set up through them!!). I did call the organizer and they confirmed that they have a receipt that the specimen was delivered to them a few days ago. This place is a scam or at the least incapable of doing any testing but is very capable of getting people's insurance information. Hope they are not charging the state/fedral or insurance companies. read more
