From the moment Dr. June Sadiq walked into the room, I could tell he was genuine, compassionate, and truly cared about his patients. He took the time to listen, answered every question thoroughly, and made my grandma feel comfortable during a stressful time. What stood out most was that he never made us feel rushed. He was attentive, thoughtful, and kept checking on her throughout her visit, which meant so much to our family. When I asked if he could speak with my daughter over the phone to explain my grandma's test results, he didn't hesitate. He patiently went over everything, answered all of her questions, and made sure she understood the situation completely. That level of kindness, patience, and professionalism is rare. Dr. Sadiq is truly a gem. UCI Medical Center is incredibly fortunate to have him as part of its team. Thank you for treating my grandma with such compassion and dignity. We will never forget the difference you made.

If I could give this hospital a negative review, I would. Unfortunately, I had a horrible…read moreexperience, and it was not because of the nurses. The nurses were friendly, caring, and did their best. My biggest issue was with the case managers. My father was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath, pneumonia, and cancer. He was placed in the older, run-down side of the hospital. During the summer, the room was extremely hot because the AC was not working, and they provided a fan to try to help. The room itself was also very small and uncomfortable. Again, I want to emphasize that we had no issues with the nurses. They were kind and helpful. The problem was the case management. It felt like the main priority was simply getting my father discharged as quickly as possible rather than making sure he had what he needed to safely go home. He was discharged without several necessary medical supplies and we were told they would be delivered afterward. Unfortunately, the vendor could not provide one of the supplies because the prescription they received from the case manager did not include the required model number. The vendor needed an updated prescription before they could send it. I called the case managers repeatedly, leaving multiple messages and calling every day for over a week. No one returned my calls. We eventually had to contact my father's doctors ourselves to try to resolve the issue. This should not have been necessary, especially for a patient dealing with cancer and recovering from pneumonia and breathing problems. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing to feel like the healthcare system no longer puts patients first. Discharge planning should be about making sure patients and their families have the proper support, medications, and medical equipment--not simply getting them out the door. UCI, please do better. Please consider replacing or retraining case managers who are unwilling to communicate with patients and families and who do not follow through on critical discharge needs. Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hospital, primarily because of the case management and lack of follow-up.

It was empty inside, but then someone a little bit later asked if I had been helped. I sat on one of the couches so I can lift my leg up because it was hurting so bad. I got dropped off and then took an uber home because I wasn't sure how much it would hurt after and since I was already in pain I figured it was safer. First they did a simple test then the EMG test with needles. I just gotta tell you it hurt like hell. The nurse that took me back was really sweet and friendly and sort of talked me through the process before the dr came in to do the EMG test. When the dr came in she was nice I couldn't tell if she was being all the way nice or not but she did answer all my questions and told her all my pain and symptoms she made a note for my neurologist. When she first put the needles in my arm it wasn't bad but then she got to my leg and that oh my gosh hurt like hell. I couldn't handle it cause of how bad it hurt. She couldn't do more cause it was too much for me. But she did get enough of a reading she said to send to my neurologist at least. I see a lot of bad reviews for this place, glad I didn't look at them before i went lol. But glad they took me seriously and tried to help me as best as they could and appreciate the kindness of the nurse bringing me a warm blanket since it was so cold in there. I didn't have a bad experience I would come back again. Hopefully they can give me some answers Have a beautiful day, be kind to all your patients. Aloha

My wife had her well women exam completed by the NP at this location. She has a IUD in place and wasn't sure the date or the type. The NP said that she could electronically message her that information through the EMR. It was only a simple message that was sent to the NP. There was no indication that there would be an charge associated with the online messaging. She logged into her billing portal and found there was an $80 fee associated with this. In all the places I have worked before, never have myself or any other providers or the organizations billed a patient for messages! This is blatant extortion by the people that run UCI health, to take advantage of patients. I am sure there was some training involved to direct this provider to bill for such trivial tasks. Also the facility/doctor fees UCI charges are exorbitant compared to other places. WARNING to future patients, don't go with UCI otherwise you will get a shocking medical bill afterwards!! I plan to fight this and if things don't change, then escalation will be the next course of action (ie news, state representative).

The check-in process was quick and easy, and I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving. I was treated by Dr. Allan L. He paid close attention to the details, clearly explained my diagnosis, and walked me through the prescribed treatment and medications. What stood out most was his genuine concern for his patients. He let me know that if the copay for my medication at CVS was too high, I could call the office and he would gladly prescribe an alternative that was more affordable. That level of care and consideration is rare and greatly appreciated. The check-in staff were also very kind and welcoming, which helped make the entire experience even more comfortable. I would highly recommend this urgent care to anyone who gets anxious about medical visits or is looking to be seen within a reasonable amount of time. From start to finish, my experience was positive, efficient, and reassuring.

Of course, the second reading was better. He was very professional and compassionate! I saw Dr. Victor Nekrasov, who did a thorough examination and discussed the symptoms I've been having. I felt that his questions were good, and I did not feel rushed at all during my time with him. He prescribed a few meds, and I was on my way. They confirmed which pharmacy I preferred, and I opted for CVS located across the street. I was encouraged to return to the clinic and/or follow up with my PCP if symptoms did not improve. It was a very good experience overall, and I would not hesitate to return or recommend this facility to others.

It started with me getting my IV inserted by a nurse. She did not even insert it where it should have been. She inserted it near my inner elbow, despite saying it is usually inserted into the hand, but brushed it off by saying "you aren't 18 yet so it's okay". Had trouble inserting it and getting blood to flow so she wiggled it around a bit till she got a vein and small flow. She didn't flush it either to make sure it was inserted properly which they should always do to confirm proper placement. I went in to surgery and they had wrapped me up like a little burrito to hold me together during surgery. When they pushed the propofol into my iv, they couldn't even see it since my arm was under the wrap! Instead of undoing it and making sure it wasn't leaking, an assistant stuck her hand under the wrap and PULLED MY IV??? It wasn't until after they had pushed the ENTIRE syringe of anasthetic into my arm that they realized it had leaked into the surrounding tissue. They unwrapped me and elevated my arm and proceeded to put a hot pack over where it had leaked. It felt like they were burning my arm with a hot curling iron. I started yelling and crying asking them to take it off and why they were doing that. They simply said it was a hot compression they needed to put. While they were panicking over my arm, another assistant had walked over to my left side and began to try to insert another IV 3 TIMES!! I was in pain and confused before being sedated despite the fact they never should have continued with the surgery. I woke up around an hour later with a chemical burn on my arm. They had told my father who was waiting outside in the lobby that i had woken up. When he asked how i was they had told him there was a "minor complication". Which obviously worries him. When he asked to see me, they told him no and didn't him see me for AN ENTIRE HOUR AFTER SURGERY!? I was groggy and in pain asking to see my father multiple times and they did not let me and told me that it wasn't a good idea at the time because they "didn't wanna worry him". When they FINALLY brought him back after an hour he was obviously concerned. I was given 2 doses of fentanyl and 4 doses of another painkiller to no avail. They were pushing very hard to simply send me home despite the burn and the anesthetic simply sitting in my arm. They had an orthopedic surgeon "check" me to make sure my arm was okay. He simple poked and squished my arm a bit to check if it didn't feel stiff, then said i was fine. My father called my sister and they both demanded i be taken to CHOC which they ultimately agreed to. When i was taken, the attending physician at CHOC immediately told my parents i would be admitted. They gave my 5 injections around the burn site to break up the medication which had been pooled under my skin. They also made us aware that a hot pack should have never been used as a compression. They should have used a cold pack for this leak. When brought up to the surgeon at my post op, he INSISTED that it was a hot pack and they had done the correct thing. I met with a burn team during my hospitalization who cleaned and popped the blisters during my stay, then was sent home 2-3 days later with a month of medical supplies for home treatment and met with a Plastic Surgeon that CHOC had set me up with. this all happened in November of 2025, it is July of 2026 and i still have less strength in my right arm and have physical therapy set up to try and regain my strength. would never recommend this place and i am in the process of pursuing legal action.
