Went in for an appointment today. I had called yesterday and the automated announcement suggested to make an appointment to minimize wait times. Online appointment on their website was easy. Pretty efficient process as they sent text reminders with the address and also a reminder to check in by clicking on the link from the text. Once I was in the waiting area, a male staff member came out to let everyone know to pay attention to the screen to make sure our names show up and how many people are on the wait list. He explained that the ones who made appointments are given priority. He also asked for everyone's patience as there were 23 people waiting with 5 phlebotomists. I really appreciate that he set the right expectations. I was assigned to Kim and she was amazing! Really nice, friendly, helped make me feel at ease and best of all, it didn't hurt when she poked my skin with the needle. Thank you!!! I was in and out of there in 20 mins. read more

I decided to try this place over the other local spot because it had long wait times, even with an appointment and parking is brutal. Got here not only is there tons of parking and it's free. They got me in within five minutes of my appointment time. Rodrigo was my phlebotomist and he did the best blood draw I've ever had done. He also caught on my next labs that the test I'm having done needs to be done 7-9am, that was great because I already booked my appointment for 10 and had time to change it. Great catch on his part! I prefer going to this Quest location for blood tests on Fridays after 2 PM rather than in the mornings or during weekdays. It's much less crowded at that time, making the process smoother and stress-free. The staff here are extremely professional and efficient--I've never had any issues. They are also great at finding veins quickly, minimizing the need for multiple needle attempts. If they can't find a vein in your arm, they'll skillfully use the top of your hand instead. To save time, make an appointment online and check in before arriving. While they have self-service check-in machines inside, booking ahead makes everything even easier. read more

I used to really like this location I was there this morning and it was busy. An employee came out and said: "We are behind if you don't have an appointment you will be waiting a long time." An older man in a white lab coat stood up and complained to the employee that he didn't have an appointment and he had been waiting for about a half hour and had to get to work and was immediately taken back. Another customer who also complained told me on the way out that he got to go before us because he is a doctor. We set appointments and are responsible and apparently are punished for it. At Quest, if someone whines they get to line jump while those who were responsible and set appointments get seen late and are ultimately late for work because an irresponsible doctor gets preferential treatment?! Not cool. Looks I'll be going to LabCorp from now on. read more

I went on a Monday morning with no appointment, but I was the only one on the waitlist so I figured I could squeeze in. The staff came up to me several times explaining is much faster with an appointment but I stubbornly and optimistically remained waiting for 2.5 hours. Finally I made an appt for later in the day. Michael was great but the office wasn't opened on time and the staff wasn't there. He had to open the office on his own until the staff showed up. Bad service. Made appointment online. Received follow up texts. App said to sign in online when I arrived (on time) and it acknowledged me and said to sit in waiting area until called. After a hour of waiting - while everyone else was called and several new people came in and were called - I waited until they called another person to ask that person why I wasn't called after waiting an hour past the appt. "Is your name on the TV?" I paid no attention to tv and said the appt said that I was checked in and to wait to be called. "If your name isn't on the TV you aren't checked in." I was pretty ticked and said "The app said I was checked in - here I can show it to you. What does the TV have to do with anything?." "Well you can go check in and we can take you as a walk in." I looked around and saw multiple people waiting and decided that waiting ANOTHER hour wasn't going to happen. Two nice patients waiting offered me their times. This location takes forever to call in people which is very annoying. I've heard an old lady express how rude the staff are which is how I know I wasn't the only one with a negative experience. The blood drawing part wasn't bad but the staff who helped me out was rude. Overall I would avoid this place if you can. read more

This office does not care to see people. The machine takes walk ins. Even if the office is fully empty, the staff working the office do not take the walk ins. When I asked how long I had to wait as they were taking an appointment that had an appointment that was scheduled for 50 minutes later, they gave priority to that person even though I had been waiting in the room for over 40 minutes. The staff I asked for information told me to put a review, so that maybe Quest changed and didn't get walk ins. She was not kind or caring. So hard to come to a place where you need to be cared for and the people who are supposed to provide support are just plain rude and careless. No wonder the place has a 3 star review. The room was empty several times and the tv that provides information about the amount of people being served had only one person being served when there were 4 phlebotomists in the lab. I had to leave after waiting for an hour. No where to complain about these people. They didn't care about not seeing people who needed care. Super sad to have this happening in medical care. After being told to schedule an appointment for, "expeditious" service my Michael I still waited 30 mins and had to leave before my appointment. Michael and the staff were unorganized, rushed, and rude. I was just coming in to drop off samples and was being asked to wait over an hour past my appointment time. Avoid at all costs. NOT WALK-IN FRIENDLY. Awful! Had an appointment was not seen until 20 mins later. Lady that saw me was very cold, nonreactive, and uninterested in smiling. I forgot my paperwork (my mistake), mind you I was back with in 10 mins. I came back to join the stand by list. Then they call me to "scare" me out of waiting. Told me they hadn't even seen the 1st person waiting on the waitlist and that it was unlikely they would get to me. I was 3rd. I then responded with why they didn't call the 1st person when I had to leave to go get my paperwork. She was then the next person called. She came out after and said they're not busy they're all just talking and half the bays are not even being used. Seems like they really dislike people waiting and they have no motivation to get their patients out of their waiting room. This place is crazy today. I go to quest nearly every month because I have an ongoing medical condition. This is so unacceptable. There are 28 people waiting for 3 phlebotomists and most have appts that started 20 min ago. There is no lobby assistance and their staff seems stressed. Quest...shame on you. Do better! read more

I will never come here again. This experience has happened two times now where I have made an appointment and 15 minutes after my appointment time I still was not called not only that the front desk was calling peoples appointments that were 10 minutes prior to mine. When I asked why they were behind, they mentioned "people in their break" To me, this doesn't sound, smart, or efficient. You welcome. The whole waiting room was full, except for three chairs. There's definitely a problem with the scheduling staff or employees who are in charge of this and of course it's not the phlebotomist job or their fault. This is very poor management and unfortunately I will be letting people close to me in the area not to ever use that lab because this is happened more than twice now. I did have to leave because I had another doctor appointment and did not get my blood work drawn. read more

Scheduling an appointment was very easy, check in was easy and I was called within minutes of my appointment time. The staff was very helpful and professional. My phlebotomist was very friendly and resolved an unclear portion of the lab order without any problems. This is my go to place for laboratory services when I have a choice. read more

Absolutely horrible receptionist. I I showed up for my appointment and was told to wait outside the office because of Social distancing which was fine. I kept Seeing people walk in and not having to wait outside so I checked the waiting room which had half of the chairs empty and sat down. The receptionist asked me to wait outside. I asked why and she says because they weren't ready for me. I asked why if there are empty chairs. She just asked me to wait outside. Really weird. Often patients in our awful healthcare system are a captive audience and don't have much of a choice, but avoid this place if possible. I've been here twice before and had issues as well, but this experience has been the latest and the worst. I booked an appointment for a lab test for a weekday at 12:30pm and prepaid the exorbitant amount. The day before my appointment, Quest called me and notified me that the incorrect type of test had been booked so they needed to move my appointment to later that same day at 1:20pm. I agreed. I was running 5min late (yes, that part is my fault). When I went to check-in at the ipad station at 1:25pm, it incorrectly said I was more than 10 minutes late and that I would now be considered a "walk-in." Of course, there was no human to be found at the front desk. A lab tech came out after 10min and told me to have a seat and someone would be with me in another 10min or less. I waited for an additional 30min to see if they could help rectify their mistake, but no one came out to help me, so I left. Guess they didn't want my $140 because I'll be demanding a full refund and won't be back again! Too bad I can't be refunded for my wasted time. read more

The quest diagnostics location at Kensington park in Tustin is going downhill. The communication is absolutely lacking if you are in need of information. You have to grab someone on the run and I personally witnessed distressed guests. There is a loud tv, several very low voiced techs that move on if you don't respond. You can't hear them! Why not post on that loud tv when the lab closes? A tech gave me wrong info on how a test was to be done and my doctor confirmed their error. They always run late. 20-40 min late. Many issues with app. Please fix yourself quest. I like your location. read more

This Quest location is HORRIBLE!!! Breana at the front desk is beyond rude and always in a rush. She says it's the busiest Quest, but they are so understaff it's ridiculous. I would come here every 2 weeks for blood work but stopped after having an appointment and she bumped walk in appointments in before me. The staff here are rude and the wait times are long even with an appointment. Don't expect Breana or the staff to honor your appointment time. They will just say, "they are busy" also, the time on the screen will say your wait time but it's also false. My wait time was 15 minutes and 1 hour later & it still says 15 min wait. This lab is located off Tustin Avenue and Fruit Street, next to building 999. Turn right into the first driveway and find the entrance to the building on the left. Upon walking in, the entrance to Quest is in the lobby, right next to the directory sign. Most likely you will find a long line. Most of the visitors seem to veer to the right part of the counter which is for walk ups. If you have an appointment, the clipboard is to the left side of the counter, right above the sign that says appointments here. If you are foolish enough to not have an appointment, go to the quest.com website https://secure.questdiagnostics.com/hcp/psc/jsp/ApptAvailability.do and see if you can score a last-minute appointment. While waiting, there were two appointment times were available, one of which was in 15 minutes. Even if you have an appointment, you still have to wait, or at least I did. I arrived at 11:30, and I wasn't seen until 12:05. I was out by 12:15. The staff is your typical Quest staffers.. not chatty or overly friendly. In fact, they're pretty robotic. I guess its pretty mundane to do this day in / day out, that they forget they're dealing with live human beings. To them, its just another day at the office. I would come here again, as the parking is free, and the lab is convenient to access (no elevators to take). The place is closed 12:30-1:30, and I overheard the lady say its less crowded after 1:30. read more

Today was first time for my daughter who is 7 years old to do blood test , she was so afraid, I was worry too ,Danny helped us today he was so sweet he was so patient talking to my daughter about school,sport ,...He did amazing job that my daughter told me mommy it didn'thurt, .I can't say how thankful I am . Checking via mobile device was easy but unfortunately I missed my appointment cause according to staff even if my doctor sent the orders directly to quest they did not send it to their special location. Had to call my PCP to have my labs be sent to their office and then had to wait an hour to be seen, on top of that the staff has no bedside manners and a rude like if they don't work in customer service!! read more

I had an appointment on at one Quest Location on La Veta Ave. On 9/20/23, in the city of Orange when I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, there was no one at the check in, only a scanner to scan my barcode. At the time of my appointment someone came out and told me my name was not in the list. When I showed my appointment, the person told me I was in the wrong building. Apparently my GPS did not specify that. I am a disabled person, and walk very slow, I tried to call to find out if I could still keep my appointment, but there is no one answering phone calls, everything is automated. So since by the time I painfully made it to my car, I could hardly move. So I decided to go home. Then I booked a new appointment for today at the location on Tustin Ave. in Santa Ana for today. But I needed to talk to someone prior to my appointment. Again, no answer. No one to talk to! I had to cancel because I have flu symptoms with no fever, and wanted to know if I could go anyway. But I thought it would be best not to expose anyone! I am so frustrated at the kind of neglect and lack of humanity and human communication. I am 76, with a lot of difficulties in walking, in fact very painful, being able to communicate would be a great plus! I hope Quest will consider having a live person back on the reception desk who can answer questions and concerns in person or on the phone. read more

Thanks for allowing me to wait 5 minutes before a patient, not an employee, told me to sign in using the ipad kiosk!! These labs are always so busy and under staffed!! If it weren't for my lame picky insurance I'd be at Lab Corp!!! Been waiting over 25 minutes and wait time on their tv still shows 23 minutes!!! Really! How the hell does this work?! Next time I will draw my kids blood and just drop it off!!! We finally ended up leaving after our time jumped up to 45 minutes!! Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional!! read more

Awful. I was hesitant to go to quest for my daughter's blood test because I didn't know how'd they do with toddlers but her doctor checked her veins prior to going and assured me she had easy veins. My fears came true. When it was time for her blood draw they tortured her all for nothing! Held her down and cried in agony as they put the needle in her without even getting any blood. Then they just told me to go back to choc where I had gotten her blood drawn before. Incompetent. Now I believe my daughter is traumatized from this experience. First off I'm so surprised by the bad reviews. This was by far the most efficient and easy experience I've had with a lab to have blood work taken. I wish I got the name of the tech who helped me (room 4!) because she was so pleasant and very accommodating. I realized I had forgotten my paperwork (lack of coffee brain!) but she said no problem but I needed to bring it in. So I came back right away and when she saw me and she had me come right back. Also, the texting system they have for checking in is so easy and extremely quick. I will definitely request them for any further appointments I may need. read more
