Owners Tim & Jen welcomed me and I received a great pedi while relaxing in their awesome massage chair. Tim put some live music video performances on TV and as he worked we talked about classic rock, the art of sipping whiskey, and the eclectic decor in the shop that includes neon signs and other cool collectibles. The other patrons there at the time are regulars who raved about their satisfaction with this shop and that they drive down from Burney to go here. She asked if I'd had another pedicure recently and I told her not, that I'd basically hacked at my cuticles a little myself a couple weeks prior. So this led to.. no cuticle remover, no cleaning out under the nails, barely any pressure used at all for my calluses, which I did pay extra for. She said as she was doing it that there was nothing for her to do. Tell me why I went home and was still able to get stuff out from under my toenails (mind you, it's hard for me since I'm overweight and have back problems), and plenty of callus removed with what I have on hand? Also the polish on the second toe of my left foot chipped that night. I'm so disappointed because I did enjoy this place. I hardly ever get any time to be able to go get a pedicure, not to mention it was a waste of money with what I had to put into it when I got home.

Response to Sherri G.'s post. I was hoping you were going to write a review bashing a legitimate business. I too was there that day, let me start off by when you want a service "mutual respect" goes a long way...being demanding and rude gets you no where in life. I can tell by the way you and your daughter were dressed is straight trash and is a direct reflection of what you both stand for. Wearing a shirt stating"b*tch#1 and b*tch#2 is a good way to let the public know that a low life like you doesn't deserve to breathe our air. Furthermore you stating your daughter had issues with her nail less than a week is actually false. The owner looked in the books when you were scheduled and was longer than what you've stated. So far your rude, trashy and now a liar. Moving along Sherri, the obvious reason why YOU and your little sh*t daughter was declined service is your deposition and lack of respect to others. That business provides a service to people, not to accept foul mouths to talk to them however they want. Its a no brainer you were declined. Even after being declined service you had the nerve to say "f*ck you too then!* I bet you think your the mother of the year huh? Now saying "they were too busy", hmmm its the xmas holidays isn't everywhere busy? If your going to write a review tell both sides... stating you feel sorry for the owner? @ EMMA V. her reviews are confirmed to be false I've looked up several other businesses for reviews and her reviews are almost identical along with being derogatory and negative. I'm a regular at An's business and she has nothing but love and respect for her clients! always a positive vibe and setting and the people that work there keep it safe, fun and professional. I guarantee you will enjoy your experience. I highly recommend you make an appointment but they do accept friendly walk In's. An has catered to me several of times when I'm running late on appointments she is always willing to help people out and is very understanding. The salon has a relaxed atmosphere and her clientele are loyal. If your a first timer, local or just coming in and out of town I suggest you give her salon a GO! As for EMMA V. I really hope your not giving hard working successful businesses false reviews for your own pleasure that's just sad. I have been to soo many salons in Redding, hoping to find the perfect one..and let me tell you Queen Nails is definitely that place! I have been going to An for years, she is the sweetest girl. I don't know where to begin. First of all the salon is beautiful, well decorated with a comfortable feel, top of the line spa chairs, she's got everything! An is such an amazing artist, very creative. She pays so much attention to detail and always makes sure I'm more than happy with my nails and most importantly has never hurt my nails! (Which i cant say for any other place!) I've always had nothing but compliments on my nails. The staff is an awesome group of people, never a boring conversation. They do it all and for a very affordable price! They have always gone above and beyond, I have never left without saying "amazing! I would say if you are looking for a relaxing professional environment you should go here. I called and got in the same day thinking maybe this was not a popular place. When my daughter and I showed up it was clear that I was just lucky to get in. Even though it became busy after I got there my daughter and I still had wonderful service. It was the 1st time I was getting the new trend in nails, the pointy one, I don't know what it is called. I love them very much. she hand painted my nails none of this airbrushing and cookie cutter stuff. it has been three weeks now and they look just as good as when I had them done, well minus the grow out. I would have gone back sooner but I have been recovering from surgery. An and her staff made my us feel we were valued even as 1st time customers. some nail salons can feel catty and if you don't look a certain way you just don't fit in. if you are looking for a professional and non drama salon this is the place. read more

Queen Nails does the best job I have ever found! I used to get my nails done in the various shops around Redding from Pro Nails to Honey Nails and even the 2 on Lake Blvd. they pale in comparison to An and her staff. They were so awful I stopped getting my nails done. About a few years ago, noticing my boyfriends mom always has a beautiful set of pink and white acrylics, I asked her where she goes. I have been going to An for 3 years now. Queen nails is my final destination for beautiful competent nail work. Not to mention, An is very friendly with all of her clients. It's such a relaxing atmosphere when your there......even if you have to wait a bit. An's work is in high demand because of the quality of her work. :) She can do anything you ask from duck billed to stiletto nails, even free hand Hello Kitty! I have been getting my nails done by An Le for well over 5 years now. I was fortunate to find her in her previous employment prior to becoming the amazing shop owner of Queen Nails. An is extremely creative with her nail art. I have many times "tested" her. I have had many compliments on my nails each and every time I have them done. I can't honestly remember ever (but maybe once) have my nails lift. If one broke, it's only because I managed to slam it hard; yet only the tip broke. I go in every 4 weeks to have my nails done. Her father, who also works with her, is the sweetest man, and gives absolutely amazing pedicures. You will just melt in your seat as he massages the feet. I live a good 30+ minutes away from Redding. I highly recommend An Le at Queen Nails to anyone looking for a professional, creative, and genuinely caring nail tech. Thank you An!! read more

I LOVE this shop!!! I had a really bad nail job done for a special occasion a couple years back & An fixed them beautifully & I have been able to maintain them for 2 years now because she does such a great job. Prior to An I have never been able to keep acrylics on because they felt too heavy, we're too thick, looked fake, or simply wouldn't stay on well as I am definitely not easy on them. An always listens when you make requests & my nails are always light, natural looking, & strong enough to take the abuse I give them, even when I only make it in like once a month for fills. Also, I am one of very few ladies who really doesn't care for pedicures tho I do have them done for special occasions & at An's shop I can relax & I even enjoy it a bit. I absolutely love this place! An is amazing and wonderful at her job. She loves what she does, and you can see and feel it when you're there. I will never go to another place. I found her quite a few years back when I would come for vacation. Once I moved back to Redding, I knew exactly where I was going. I have never had an issue with lifting or breaking. I can almost always get in same day, and if I can't I will wait till she can get me in. She will even call me and let me know she had a cancelation to see if I want to come in. I would rather take my nails off myself, and go in for a new set than go somewhere else. Her parents do the pedicures and they are just as wonderful. read more

I have been going to nail salons for over 2 decades on a regular basis. Prior to finding An and her charming parents at this salon, I had bounced around from salon to salon. None of them could provide consistency in their work or service. I am very picky about my nails and toes. I am proud to say that I have been a regular customer of Queen Nails for over three years now. I have never had a bad experience here and they have always been able to accommodate my last minute needs, whether it be large parties or getting me in and out in time to make my sons' football game kickoffs. I've been reading reviews and WOW! It's hard for me to believe there could be any negative words about Queen Nails. I've been going to An (when she was at Walmart in Anderson), her Dad also, for almost 5 years and have NEVER had a bad experience with anyone who has worked there. An does beautiful work on my nails. Her Dad and Mom have done my pedicures and done exceptional. I won't go anywhere else. Have had to a couple times when out of town and didn't last but maybe 2 weeks. I can go 4 weeks otherwise. I was shocked to read her review, as I have been going to this salon for the past 2-3 years - as long as the present owners have owned it - and can't say enough positive things about it! She must have confused this salon with another one! The owners are super nice, the stations and pedicure spas are always clean, and they are always so friendly and accommodating. Plus, I know for a fact that none of the owners smoke! An is amazing and so much fun to be around I really enjoy visiting with her while getting my nails done. there are a few reasons I return to queen nails, Great service ,always fun, my nails always look great and An knows exactly what I need, this is the first nail salon that has NOT..hurt me:) the prices are right and they always call me by name. I have been coming to An for Gel nails for nearly a year now, I don't plan on going anywhere else. The shop is so clean and very nicely appointed. The color scheme and wall art are soothing. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door. An does my nails to perfection, every time. I have never had to go back for a fix or had any other problems with my nails. I've gone to a few nail salons since I moved here and this is by far the Best! I can go short of 4 weeks before I need a fill. My Niece drives down from Weaverville, my Sister lives in Fortuna (on the coast) plans her visits around her nail appt. The staff is awesome! I always make appts and have never had to wait. My wife and I both received pedicures from Queen Nails yesterday (2/27) and we were very impressed with the experience. The pedicurist, Le, spend a significant amount of time with each of our pedicures and did a great job. My wife had her nails painted and they look beautiful. If we have the opportunity we will go back there, and would certainly recommend them to anyone. read more
